When Lily finds a pair of friendship bracelets hanging on a roadside cross, she doesn't think twice before she takes them and gifts one to her new friend, Aria. But strange things begin to happen to Aria. The portrait of her mom that she's drawing gets ruined. A portrait of someone she's never seen before suddenly appears in her sketch pad. However, it's when Aria and Lily are together that things really get weird. And by weird, I mean terrifying. The ghost of the girl who the bracelets belong to wants them returned, and she'll do anything to make sure that happens. Thank you for joining me for Ghostober! This is the last episode of October, so I hope you enjoyed all the ghost stories I've shared this month. Ghosts and shadow people, poltergeists and dark demonic entities, cryptids and monsters, they all get their roles amplified in Halloween celebrations, but what are the true stories behind them..?In this episode with Cristina Gomez, guest Tui Snider details her experiences, research, and encounters with the Paranormal in Texas. Tui Snider is an inquisitive world traveler who writes books, gives talks, and does a lot of research. Tui's specialties include forgotten history, offbeat destinations, historic cemetery symbols, and haunted lore. Hi! I'm Tui Snider. I love writing books and giving presentations with an eye for quirky details and a touch of humor. To me, “even home is a travel destination” and I often joke that, “I used to write fiction, but then I moved to Texas.” While I occasionally give classes based on my books, leading tours through historic cemeteries is my favorite way to teach. My home base is North Texas, where I share a goth/tiki castle with my mad scientist husband and a stray tabby cat who adopted me during my travels. When not on the road, I enjoy composing music, singing karaoke, and practicing poi ball routines in our backyard. ABOUT SHIFTING THE PARADIGM - Shifting the Paradigm is a weekly show with a format that is centered around streaming on KUNX Talk Radio, Talkstream Live, and Paranormal Radio. In each episode, Cristina Gomez interviews specialists in their fields, be it authors, field investigators, researchers, or pioneers in the topics of unusual mysteries, strange places, mysterious events, and the big questions that challenge our understanding, and paradigm.

We don't only talk about demonic horses and tarantulas and terrifying tales of modern folklore spun by exciting up and coming horror filmmakers, but Eli's storied cinematic career bringing us the unforgettable nightmares that have changed the entire genre. We share some of our fave moments from his films, he reflects on his. He loads you up with his watchlist for Halloween and lets you in on a brand new haunted house VR experience he is brewing, conjuring horror flicks with fifty cent and so much more! When Cody Owens enters Snake's Tongue Cave in the Ozark Mountains, Missouri in 2015, he's expecting a fun adventure. He's expecting an exciting story to tell. What he's not expecting is a face rising out of a pool of water. Or getting stuck in a gap between stone slabs. Or a voice calling out from the darkness as he struggles to free himself. But at Hometown Paranormal, things are rarely what they seem. Welcome to Ghostober! Every episode during the month of October will be a ghost story, and The Hero of the Ozarks is our first! As a reminder: all stories on Hometown Paranormal are fiction. The season return of Destination Fear season 2 premieres Saturday, October 24, as part of Travel Channel's Ghostober (https://www.hauntjaunts.net/ghostober-travel-channel-2020-lineup-shows-shock-docs-and-more/) event. Court got a chance to talk with the show's stars, Dakota Laden, Chelsea Laden, and Tanner Wiseman, about the rest of the season in general and about a couple of episodes in particular: "Saratoga County Homestead" and "Randolph County Infirmary." What did Dakota see in the Saratoga County Homestead to make him (a) scream and run, and (b) admit he's not going to get any good brother awards for that behavior, not to mention it's not a good look masculinity-wise? Is this why Chelsea quipped her goal is to stay fitter and be just a little bit faster than the guys? What did Dakota say they learned from the homestead's current caretaker? Why does he feel the activity is so aggressive? Because the activity was so intense and scary would they ever go back to the Saratoga County Homestead? What happened to Dakota during the interview that scared him and asked if they could change the subject? (It's just after the 17:00 minute mark.) Does Dakota think the hard challenge he set up for everybody at the Randolph County Infirmary was a bad idea? Dakota, Chelsea, and Tanner are definitely exploring new heights and facing different fears this go around, and Court had a blast talking with them about it all. Travel Channel is the king of paranormal programming and their third annual “Ghostober” event is in full effect with new episodes from all of our favorite supernatural shows. Including the show that started the pop-culture ghost hunting phenomenon, ‘Ghost Nation’ (formerly ‘Ghost Hunters.) We were lucky enough to chat with Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango about all-new otherworldly adventures that they have in store for us starting on October 17th with the episode ‘Evil Ink.’ Joined by Jason Hawes and special guests the trio is getting back to its roots, helping homeowners who are dealing with harrowing hauntings and people whose lives have been overtaken and threatened by unexplained phenomena. Armed with brand new state-of-the-art technology and their meticulous methodology, the team, under its new banner, United Paranormal Research Organization (UPRO), will face the most challenging and dangerous paranormal mysteries the country has to offer. In every investigation, collecting evidence is just the beginning. The team isn’t merely conducting a cursory review of the case. With the help of their local contacts, team members will embed themselves in the community, conducting multi-day investigations in an effort to track down the true source of these hauntings and restore peace to the living … and the dead. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/downrightcreepy/support

When I first learned Ghost Adventures had locked down a special Serial Killer series for Travel Channel's "Ghostober" programming (https://www.hauntjaunts.net/ghost-adventures-locks-down-travel-channels-ghostober-event-with-serial-killers-and-the-conjuring-house-and/) , one of the locations immediately piqued my interest: H. H. Holmes's Murder House. But didn't it burn down? How can they investigate something that doesn't exist? Because it does exist. It may not be "the" infamous murder house --which was Holmes's residence, as well as a hotel known as the "Murder Castle." But there is another property associated with his killings --the one that helped lead to his eventual arrest even. It's in Irvington, Indiana, and that's the house Zak and crew will investigate on the series premiere of Ghost Adventures: Serial Killer Spirits. The current owner believes dark and sinister forces have overtaken the property, leaving her vulnerable to possession. What kind of activity will the Ghost Adventures Crew find? All shall be revealed when the episode airs on Saturday, October 5, 2019. Based on the blog post "How Will Ghost Adventures Investigate H.H. Holmes’s Murder House When It Doesn’t Exist?" (https://www.hauntjaunts.net/how-will-ghost-adventures-investigate-h-h-holmess-murder-house-when-it-doesnt-exist/) Want more Haunt Jaunts? Steve and Dave agreed that if there was ever not enough time for a guest to give us a theme, we would have no chance but to do... The Nuclear Option. The Nuclear Option is when we take an artist from a list of artists at random, shuffle 10 songs of their's, and discuss. That had never proved necessary until today. The boys joined returning champion Max Resnick of We're Ghosts Now in a basement bar to listen to and analyze ten songs from superstar duo Florida Georgia Line. Max puts on the neon sign at the bar as we discuss the history of this band, the tropes they continually deploy in their songs, whether these guys are the backwoods boys they claim to be and whether or not these songs make us mad. Which they do. Check out the newest song from We're Ghosts Now, "Gun in Hand," on Bandcamp and Spotify, and come see their Ghostober show at the Langosta Lounge Friday, October 19th at 9 pm.
