This is sure to be one for the record books as we're joined by these dedicated and thorough researchers of the paranormal, the Mulder and Skully of Wisconsin Jay Bachochin and Mary Marshall this week on BTE Radio. About Jay and WPI Hunts the truth. WPI Hunts the Truth was established in March 2007 by Jay Bachochin and his wife Katie due to their love and passion of the paranormal. They were both so intrigued by the paranormal evidence they've seen in their lives that they actually took an interest in paranormal investigating as a husband/wife quest in 2006. In later March 2007, they founded The Wisconsin Paranormal Investigators along with the help of some very WPI Hunts the Truth was establ ished in March 2007 by Jay Bachochin and his wife Katie due to their love and passion of the paranormal. They were both so intrigued byply suggestive thought or mass hysteria? We needed to find the answers for ourselves. That is how our mission Hunt the Truth was born. In 2014 we combined our organizations name and our mission statement together to simplify who we are and what we do. We are now called WPI Hunts the Truth. WPI Hunts the Truth researches anything paranormal from fringe science, cryptozoology creatures, urban legends, unidentified aerial phenomena, conspiracy theories and the ghost phenomena. Over the years they have had numerous investigations requested by home and business owners claiming to be experiencing paranormal activity, they have been able to help find answers, either confirming or debunking their claims. While some claims have been dispelled, WPI Hunts the Truth has captured some evidence that supports the ghost phenomena actually exists. While they have conducted many private investigations, they have also been to notable locations such as Kenosha's Rhode Opera House, the Illinois State Beach Resort in Winthrop Harbor, and the famous Mansfield, Ohio State Reformatory, which was featured in the film ‘Shawshank Redemption.' WPI Hunts the Truth has hosted events at The Rhode Opera House and the Illinois State Beach Resort and Conference Center to help teach others about ghost phenomena, how to use equipment, and how to get started investigating. They've been featured speakers at local events such as Zombie Con in Milwaukee, were featured on Wisconsin's Channel 12 news, Darkness Radio with Dave Schrader, Beyond the Edge with Eric Altman, ‘The Hidden Truth?' documentary and featured in the book "Picture Yourself Capturing Ghosts on Film: Step-by-Step Instruction for Documenting the Paranormal with Photography and Video" Most notable is the investigation of a decade long 'unsolved mystery'. The mystery of several young college men drowning in the Mississippi Riverwww.hiddentruthproductions.com. If it's paranormal in nature, WPI Hunts the Truth will investigate behind the claims. Currently Jay and Mary Marshall of ‘The Paranormal MD' have teamed up to research the Kettle Moraine in Southeast Wisconsin for the past 12 months. This year long research / case study of searching for The Wisconsin Sasquatch has been well documented with an accompanied documentary called ‘Into the Woods'. They are out in the field at least 4x a month. ABOUT JAY BACHOCHIN Jay has been interested in the paranormal since he was old enough to hold an interest. Jay was raised on Creature Features back in the early 70's. He just loved "anything" that was supernatural. It wasn't until 1979 when he witnessed something paranormal first hand and saw the most amazing display of a well lit flying object above their house in Lindenhurst, IL. What did his brother, sister and my mom see that night? They couldall say it was a UFO, but until this day they still can't explain what we saw. However, it was fascinating to watch these lights move in the night sky over a total of :20 minutes. Throughout Jay's life he has experienced many different types of paranormal activity. Not all ghostly experiences but 'odd' to say the least. He's experienced a 5 second black-out when he was 8 years old. The black-out didn't only happen to Jay at that time, but also the friend he was with at the time. This 5 second black-out was the most bizzare thing he can recall from childhood. How can 2 people share the same blackout? Jay has witnessed many different unidentified flying objects near his hometown and his current residence over the years. During some of his investigating, he has experienced what some people would call a ghost. Not sure if it was a deceased person's spirit running through his body, or if there is something natural that we don't comprehend. Whatever it was charged him with static electricity, and made every hair on his body stand as tall as the Redwood National Forest yet was as cold as ice. Jay believes that we are not alone in our universe. Another race of alien beings? A greater force beyond comprehension? Worm-holes? Time scapes? Parallel universes? To arrange interviews, please contact the participants directly: Jay Bachochin, founder of WPI Hunts the Truth. To learn more about Jay visit his website http://wpihuntsthetruth.com/ About the Paranormal MD Mary Marshall: Mary helped develop one of the first Paranormal Studies Program in the country that is taught at an institution for higher education at Harper College in Palatine, Illinois where she teaches paranormal studies classes. Mary also teaches paranormal studies classes at College of DuPage, and the Theosophical Society in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and College of Lake County, Illinois. In response to the many individuals across the globe, Mary will soon be offering online paranormal studies classes starting in 2015. It is her goal that sharing knowledge will result in the creation of better investigators and researchers, and in general, broaden people's perspective and understanding of paranormal activity. Although her primary focus is on ghostly-type activity, starting at a young age, Mary has been drawn to and interested in psychic phenomenon and medium-ship, as well as the many aspects of theoretical physics. In more recent years, other fields of science and technology have gained her attention as well. “Science and technology, and metaphysics and spirituality, are very connected; they complement one another. Many do not see the marriage that exists between them, however, I do. In the paranormal field there is a union, a collective consciousness that exists between them.” Investigator & Researcher - Mary Marshall is the founder and director of The Paranormal MD, a paranormal investigation team located in northwest Illinois. Eric and Marie welcome the Crypto Guru Ron Murphy to the show as we talk Mermaids, Goblins, Cryptids and more. During the first half hour Shawn and Marianne Donley are back for another episode of the Haunted Spotlight. Then at 8:30 pm est, we welcome Author, Folklorist, Radio Show Host, Actor and Lecturer Ron Murphy. Ronald went on his first bigfoot expedition with his mother when he was seven, inspired by a radio featuring Stan Gordon back in the mid-70s. Since then Ronald has been fascinated with the world of cryptids and the unexplained. Dave Scott of the internationally popular podcast, Spaced Out Radio, calls Ronald Murphy “the cryptozoological guru,” and has Ron as a monthly guest. George Noorey of Coast to Coast AM refers to Murphy as “a world-class expert” in faerie lore. Besides Coast to Coast AM and Spaced Out Radio, Ron has also been heard on the Black Cat Lounge, SquatchWatch Radio, WILK, KTKK AM630, and numerous other programs, both radio and television, throughout the US, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Ronald was given the opportunity to co-host two radio programs on the Paranormal UK Radio Network—The Transatlantic ParaRadio Show with Andy Mercer and Inside the Goblin Universe with Colin Schneider. Ronald L. Murphy graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and attended graduate school at Pitt and at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a professional actor, having appeared in movies, on television, and on stage. He is also a researcher and historical reenactor for the Underground Railroad in Blairsville, PA. In the course of his forty years of research, he has written a number of books. Unexplained Chestnut Ridge: A Hike through the Goblin Universe of the Laurel Highlands is a fascinating journey into the paranormal world of Western Pennsylvania. Bigfoot, UFOs, Thunderbirds, Ghosts, and all things that go bump in the night is scientifically researched and documented in this work, as well as raising unique theories into the cause of such phenomena. Haunted Westmoreland County explores the fascinating history of Westmoreland County, taking the reader on a fast-paced tour of the region. He delves into the colonization of the county and proceeds to take the reader through the economic and social development of this pivotal area, vital to the creation of the United States of America. Ronald also has written a series of books concentrating on the archetypal origins of many unexplained cryptids. On Dogman: Tracking the Werewolf Through History is an exhaustively researched, intelligent study of the concept of the lycanthrope from a Jungian perspective. By first examining cave paintings that demonstrate the notion of therianthropy, Murphy continues the quest for the Dogman through the dawn of humanity to the modern character of the werewolf. With a foreward by Ken Gerhard, this book is an essential study on this bestial manifestation within the human psyche. On Mermaids is a treatise on the mermaid figure of myth and legend. Murphy probes deeply below the waves and into the human experience to discern the cultural meaning of this aquatic archetype. On Wildman: Searching for Bigfoot Through the Ages is a psychological, mythological, and linguistic exploration of the Wildman archetype referred to as Bigfoot in America. One review of this book states that it is a “must have for any cryptozoological library.” On Ghosts: An Historical Survey investigates cultural beliefs and empirical evidence of ghostly activity through time, within the context of a global understanding of the paranormal. On Vampires is an exploration into the shadow that lurks in the collective unconscious, a cannibalistic underside of humanity that lies buried just below the surface, threatening to rise at any moment. Ron is considered an expert on fairy lore, and has researched the unexplained from Maine to Florida as well as in the United Kingdom. He has led investigations in his quest for Bigfoot in Maine and in Pennsylvania, and is a noted lecturer. He has headlined the Butler Paranormal Conference in Pennsylvania, and was a featured speaker, along with Ken Gerhard and Ron Morehead, at Creature Weekend in Ohio. He has also been a featured lecturer at the East Coast Paracon. Ron is interested in infrasound and pheromones in relation to Bigfoot research. He also studies cryptozoology as it relates to the Collective Unconscious and focuses on archetypes found throughout world cultures. Ron is also a member of the Center for Cryptozoological Studies and Center for Unexplained Events. Learn more about Ron at his website http://www.cryptoguru.net/ Join us this week for our next installment of BTE Radio as we welcome back the Haunted Spotlight and very special guest Ron Murphy all this week on Beyond The Edge Radio.
This Sunday night we're joined by Dr. Brian D. Parsons Anomalous Researcher/Investigator, Author, Public Speaker, Radio host and Director of ParaNexus. Brian returns to the program rescheduled from January and Eric and Marie will be talking with Brian about his authored books, investigations, cryptid cases, his show Paranormal News Insider and more. Brian hails from Ohio and brings with him a long history of research, investigations and interest in the fortean. Brian will also serve as one of the returning speakers at the 2017 Pennsylvania Bigfoot Camping Adventure this May 5,6,7th. Tune in Sunday night March 26 as we welcome back Brian Parsons to BTE Radio. About Brian: Brian D. Parsons was born in Indiana in 1973 and moved to northeast Ohio before his first birthday. Growing up his parents told him that ghosts, monsters, and other strange things did not exist; they did this not to brainwash him, but to help him sleep at night. He grew up watching "In Search of" with Leonard Nimoy which began to open his mind to the what-ifs that exist in our world. In early 1996 he was attending college when a couple of friends asked him for help in learning how to write better research papers. He and another friend suggested writing about a subject they really liked and they would critique it. A few others did the same as well and when the group met and began to peer review the papers one drew more attention than the others on sports and dating; it was about UFOs. One of the guys in the group was a UFO nut who decided to write about UFO sightings. As the group began to talk about UFOs other subjects, such as urban legends and local folklore, came up. A few days later he was at work and brought up a particular local urban legend. He found it interesting how many different people heard the same distinct things about this location and the stories that went with it. Brian decided to investigate the location, he went to the local library and researched the property and those involved with it during the time of the story. During his research he stumbled upon Parapsychology and Psychical Research; terms he heard in Psychology class that meant nothing more than pseudoscience to his teacher. Investigating further he was interested to realize that there were many people investigating ghosts today and that despite finding enough evidence to prove the local urban legend wrong, he was inspired to investigate ghosts and related phenomena further. In the fall of 1996, he and a group of friends formed a paranormal investigation team after weeks of learning about phenomena through reading and other resources (the internet wasn't a big help back then!). They started out as many teams did back then by investigating cemeteries, abandoned buildings, and researched and investigated urban legends. While they had no official name they had spent plenty of time discussing it; one suggestion by Brian was in response to many of the groups with acronyms that existed was Ohio Paranormal Investigation Network (O.P.I.N.). The name was based on his dream of helping to network not only groups, but professionals in other areas of interest to help grow the field and help those in need. It was also in the fall of 1996 that they began getting client cases through word of mouth. During one case the homeowner, the father of a friend of one of the investigators, asked who was in charge and if the group had a name. Everyone began to look around the room and Brian began to notice everyone staring at him. He had become the official leader of the group; and his group name was adopted as well. In early 1997 the group split, while one continued to investigate cemeteries, buildings, and other structures, the other continued to help clients and carried the O.P.I.N. banner. The first group website was on the free Geocities website (site no longer exists) and was a one page advertisement for the group. During this time other members had their own O.P.I.N. websites using the original logo in an effort to gather client cases. In 2000, the group moved to Angelfire where it resided until 2007 when the decision was finally made to acquire a unique URL. In 2000, during some downtime in investigations, Brian decided to pursue a spot with the Mutual UFO Network as a Field Investigator. He worked briefly with the organization and still conducts his own investigations into related phenomena. Brian has worked with the Sasquatch Research Initiative (now defunct), the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society, and is currently a hand-picked member of the Pennsylvania Cryptozoology Society investigating Bigfoot, big cat, and strange animal sighting claims. Brian has authored four books on the subject of paranormal group operation, including his unique "E4" Method designed for client-centered cases. His fifth book, Handbook for the Amateur Cryptozoologist, digs into the world of hidden or unknown animals. He presents a balanced look at the history and mystery behind these creatures as well as methodologies into investigating them. He has worked with the ParaNexus Anomalous Research Association for several years and served as the Research Director, Treasurer, and sat on the Board of Directors until the corporation voted to dissolve in December of 2011. He remained a member and served as the Anomalous News Coordinator until 2014 when he was named Executive Director of ParaNexus in an effort to revitalize the organization. Brian also hosts the Paranormal News Insider show that began as a segment of the Grand Dark Conspiracy, which was later called Darkest Hours Late Night. The Paranormal News Insider can be heard LIVE every Tuesday night from 7-8 PM eastern on WCJV Digital Broadcasting. Brian has appeared on numerous internet radio shows, paranormal conferences and conventions, as well as his own events where he speaks on a variety of paranormal and anomalous subjects (see the contact/media page for details). He has a PhD from the Institute of Metaphysical Humanistic Science in Metaphysical Science and is currently working on his bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. Brian is a member of the National Association of Environmental Professionals as a student. He is also an ordained minister and is a state licensed wedding officiant in the state of Ohio. Brian lives in northeast Ohio with his wife Amy and their dog Sasha. Read more at http://briandparsons.com/
Shawn and Marianne Donley along with team member Andre Ruffner from Dark Shadow Ghost Tours and Panic'D are back this week to not only join us for another episode of the Haunted Spotlight but to talk with us about their investigations and some of the infamous haunted locations they have traveled to and toured. Other members of the Dark Shadow Ghost Tours team investigative team will be joining us as well. About Shawn and Marianne: Shawn and Marianne began looking into the paranormal just as something to do different on a vacation to St. Augustine, Florida. Since this was a return trip to this location, they wanted to take tours and see a different side of the city. The first ghost tour they ever took was to the infamous St. Augustine Lighthouse. "We toured this place during the day in 2006, but when we went back in 2010, we wanted to see the lighthouse at night," says Shawn. Little did they know that this vacation would start their journey into paranormal research and eventually Dark Shadow Ghost Tours. Shawn is the executive producer of the tours and dinners and is involved with the research of the different locations. He is an Internet Marketing consultant for small businesses and a Technology Coordinator for the same school district that Marianne teaches. Marianne is a biology teacher (and our resident skeptic) and tries to debunk as much evidence as she can. She is involved in graphic design for events and historical research. Marianne produces the print materials and prop creation for the events as well. She is also involved in the production of the murder/mystery dinners and is our green screen photography expert. BTE Radio is back again this week as Eric and Marie welcome UFO and Cryptid investigator Butch Witkoski from the UFO Research Center of Pennsylvania. In the first half hour we welcome Seth Breedlove of Small Town Monsters who will update us on his two new films he is working on The Mothman of Point Pleasant and Invasion on Chestnut Ridge along with the Kickstarter Campaign to help fund these projects. Then at 8:30 pm est, we're joined again by Butch Witkoski of UFORCOP who will update us on the latest UFO and Cryptid sightings he's received. Definitely will be an interesting show with lots to talk about this week on BTE Radio. About Butch: Director, Founder, UFO Research Center of Pennsylvania Editor, JAAR, Journal of Abnormal Abduction Research Member Institute of Frontier Science Member of Acadamie d Ufologie ParaNexus™ Consultant/Advisor - Ufology Former MUFON Chief Investigator, Star Team Investigator & State Section Director Former Law Enforcement Officer I've been an Independent Researcher since 1989 when I, along with 4 other people, witnessed a UFO of unbelievable size quietly hover above a mountain in Tucson, Arizona. It was totally silent. Burn Copper in color and at least three football fields in length. It moved slowly up and down, then rose upwards, moved forward, and then vanished at lightning speed. We all agreed on what we had just seen. However, calls to the Sheriffs Dept., the news media, and the local Air Force base yielded no sighting reports. I began my own investigation into the UFO Phenomenon on that day. After joining MUFON, I was able to dig deeper into past and existing cases and pursue even more on site investigations, but my research was still lacking something and I wasn't getting to the crucial answers that I was seeking. It was time to go about this work in a different manner, and after almost a year of serious reflection and consideration, I started the UFO Research Center of Pennsylvania in 2009 and brought together some of the best like-minded researchers I could find. The use of multi-disciplined investigators enhanced our fact finding like no other group that I'm aware of at the present. Our primary objective is to pursue both the historical cases and new cases that arise with hopes of bringing resolution to some of these cases of High Strangeness. We have also fielded two fully equipped mobile units and have affiliate groups in nine states and one in Europe Visit the website at http://uforcop.com/index.html

At 9:00 pm, Eric and Marie welcome Musician Walter Shrum and local TV Personality and star of Fright Night Theatre, Harry A. Metz. Walt the Music Man is a Uniontown singer/songwriter's who's inspiration to sing a song about Bigfoot has inspired an entire album dedicated to those who hunt the legendary beast of debatable mythology. Walter Shrum has been writing and singing songs for 20 years and even turned his attic into a makeshift recording studio, but a bit of inspiration took him down an unusual songwriting path. It was something about Bigfoot — a.k.a Sasquatch, Yeti, Hairy Stinka Boo, Skunk Ape, Momo and Windego — that Shrum was looking into that caused him to come up with a song and contact his friend and local television personality Harry Metz to shoot a music video to the song “Searching For Bigfoot.” The song's music video, which can be found on YouTube under “Searching for Bigfoot Music Video,” features areas like the Brownsville Drive-In and the Route 40 Diner. The video scored more than 8,000 hits on YouTube, but one of those hits came from Rick Dyer, a Bigfoot hunter who has gained national attention over the years and who shared the music video on his website. The 21-song CD titled “Tribute to the Stars of Bigfoot” not only mentions up to 25 of those Bigfoot hunters who have gained national press and have their own shows, but also includes autographs from them on the CD case, including Rick Dyer, Derek Randles, Biff Burke, Dallas Gilbert, Justin Smeja, Stacy Brown, Tammy Murray, Michael Merchant. Others cited include Matt Moneymaker, Cliff Barackman, James “Bobo” Fay and Ranae Holland from the television show “Finding Bigfoot,” and Beyond The Edge Radio Host and Bigfoot Hunter Eric Altman. Shrum said he plans on shopping his songs to local radio stations and is trying to get the album in mom and pop stores in the area. For those who need to satisfy their Bigfoot serenade fix, the songs can be purchased on iTunes or viewed on YouTube under “waltthemusicman”. People can even purchase the entire CD for $12.99 on Pay Pal by contacting Shrum on his facebook page. Harry Metz AKA Scary Harry AKA the Spooky Spectre is a videographer and owner of Scary Harry Video. Harry is also a local tv personality and hails from the Uniontown area as well. Harry devotes a lot of his time filming videos and shows at the Haunted Smock Museum in Smock PA. This week we welcome back the masters of Music of the Macabre Edward Douglas and Gavin Goszka of Midnight Syndicate. Ed and Gavin are back with a brand new release "Zombies the board game soundtrack." We'll talk with Ed and Gavin about the new album, play some of the new tracks, the new board game and behind the scenes what went into writing and producing Zombies. ABOUT MIDNIGHT SYNDICATE For almost two decades, composers Edward Douglas and Gavin Goszka have been known as Midnight Syndicate, creating symphonic soundtracks to imaginary films that facilitate a transcendental and adventurous escape into the secret dimensions of the mind's eye. To many of their fans, they are Gothic music pioneers brewing a signature blend of orchestral horror music and movie-style sound effects. To others, they remain the first “haunted house band” that forever changed the Halloween music genre and became a staple of the October holiday season. And some know them as the duo that created the first official soundtrack to the legendary Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. Their critically-acclaimed works are reminiscent of sweeping, complex masterpieces by artists such as James Horner, Danny Elfman, Black Sabbath and King Diamond and have been featured as a part of groundbreaking films, television shows, video games and at haunted attractions, amusement parks and live performances worldwide. Founder Douglas' passion for making music was ignited when he listened to records by The Beatles on his kid-sized turntable and dreamed of composing epic scores like John Williams' Star Wars, Superman and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Both he and Goszka grew up watching classic black and white horror films, listening to Vincent Price reading the tales of Edgar Allan Poe and Playing Dungeons & Dragons. They continued to fall in love with the world of horror, fantasy and the supernatural as they developed their own artistry: Douglas played piano and bass guitar, playing in rock band sand scoring student horror films in college and Goszka played keyboard in rock bands and went onto study classical composition and percussion in college. They eventually discovered ways to explore fantasy in literature, film and art through music. In 1995, Douglas directed and wrote his first full-length horror film score to a thriller called The Dead Matter (1995), which helped set the principles of Midnight Syndicate in motion. In 2010, he went on to direct, score, and co-produce the remake of The Dead Matter alongside Robert Kurtzman (From Dusk Till Dawn, co-founder, KNB FX) and Gary Jones (Xena, Boogeyman 3). In 1997, he put together an album with the goal of providing a collection of “soundtracks to imaginary films.” The collection presented many different narratives through a variety of genres, including classical, New Age and rock and was punctuated by sound effects. For the sophomore release, Born of the Night, Douglas decided to focus on a Midnight Syndicate album that would specifically appeal to gothic music fans, Halloween enthusiasts, and role-playing gamers. It was at this time that he decided to partner with compelling solo artist Goszka, whom he had known since 1994. Midnight Syndicate's music has become integral to setting a powerful mood at top-rated haunted attractions and amusement parks as well as at costume shops, gaming and Halloween parties and Halloween-themed cruises from Siberia and Hong Kong, to Europe and the United States. In 2005, industry expert Leonard Pickel estimated that 75-90% of the attractions in the haunted house industry owned at least one Midnight Syndicate CD. In September, 2009, AOL released the Top 10 Best Halloween Music CDs of all time according to AOL/CBS Radio listeners. Three of the ten listed were Midnight Syndicate discs, which ranked lower only than Danny Elfman's Nightmare Before Christmas and John Carpenter's Halloween soundtracks. In 2015, their album Out of the Darkness was named as one of the 50 Essential Horror Albums – Discs that Created, Evolved, or Defined Genre Music Over the Decades by the venerable horror publication, Rue Morgue Magazine. The band's music has also been used at Hugh Hefner's Halloween parties, on episodes of The Barbara Walters Special and in the drive-in film The Rage, Universal Studio's Horror Nights XVIII as well as by Monday Night Football and by artists Insane Clown Posse, Three Six Mafia, Twiztid and the Misfits. Midnight Syndicate released many studio albums between 1997 and 2005, among them Midnight Syndicate, Born of the Night, Realm of Shadows, Gates of Delirium, Vampyre: Symphonies from the Crypt and the multi award-winning The 13th Hour. They teamed up with Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast in 2003 to produce the first official soundtrack to the classic Dungeons and Dragons role-playing game. In 2008, Douglas' and Goszka's tenth studio album, The Dead Matter: Cemetery Gates came out as a preview to the 2010 remake of The Dead Matter film. That same year, Midnight Syndicate put together their first music video, a live performance of the song Dark Legacy, produced by Robert Kurtzman's Creature Crew and Screamline Studios and filmed in the haunted historic Phantasy Theatre in Lakewood, Ohio. The band's fourteenth studio album, Carnival Arcane (2011) was based on research into turn-of-the-20th-Century carnivals as well as the writings of Ray Bradbury and plays like a self-contained, vivid musical film. The disc garnered rave reviews from pressand won Best Horror CD/Soundtrack at the 10th Annual Rondo Hatton Awards. Midnight Syndicate continues to pursue its quest to use instrumental music to tell explicit stories full of tension, twists and turns. Most recently, the band released gothic music vocalist Destini Beard's A Time Forgotten, the follow-up to The Dark Masquerade, her first collaboration with Douglas and Goszka and completed the score to the grindhouse thriller Axe Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan. In summer, 2013, Midnight Syndicate released the soundtrack to that film along with Monsters of Legend, a tribute to the classic Universal, Hammer and Euro horror films that gave birth to horror cinema. Featuring cover art showcasing original Universal Monster images with an epic sound to match, the disc has immediately become one of, if not the band's most critically-acclaimed album to date. In addition to cracking FEARnet's Top 10 Horror CDs of 2013, in May of 2014, the album won Best CD honors in the 12th Annual Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards marking the band's second such honor. Visit the Midnight Syndicate Store to see and hear more! After seventeen years, fourteen studio albums, three soundtracks, and a motion picture, Midnight Syndicate announced that they were teaming up with the world famous amusement park, Cedar Point, to launch their first live performances. Midnight Syndicate Live! Legacy of Shadows, a multimedia horror-themed concert blending live music, theatre, and film debuted at Cedar Point's 18th annual HalloWeekends event. Before the shows, Charles Bradshaw, Corporate V.P. of Entertainment for Cedar Fair was quoted saying, “Working with these industry leading music producers on a live show is an exciting prospect. The final product is going to amaze.” And amaze it did. Upon its debut, the show began breaking attendance records while being called “top-notch and ambitious,” “brilliant and artistically creative,” and “a must see” by audiences and press alike. “The success of the inaugural run of Midnight Syndicate Live! has ensured that live Midnight Syndicate shows will be a permanent part of our plans going forward,” said Edward Douglas. In September of 2015, Midnight Syndicate's Out of the Darkness album was included in Rue Morgue Magazine's 50 Essential Horror Albums – Discs that Created, Evolved, or Defined Genre Music Over the Decades. That same month, Midnight Syndicate released Christmas: A Ghostly Gathering. The album featured the band's unique twist on classic holiday carols blended with new and original material. “Our goal was to treat each song in a way that would merge familiarity with originality,” said Gavin Goszka. “There are definitely recognizable elements, but plenty of additional original material as well. It also incorporates the widest instrument palette we've used to date and represents what we consider to be the most varied collection of songs we've ever released. There are serenely beautiful moments here alongside more intense, darker tracks, and the end result is a thoroughly compelling and involving listening experience.” “With so many Christmas-themed albums out there, we wanted to make this collection uniquely our own,” added Edward Douglas. “I think we were able to do that.” Since its release, the album has received universal critical acclaim. zombiesprIn April of 2016, the band announced that they would be creating the first official soundtrack to the immensely popular zombie apocalypse-themed board game, Zombies!!!. “I'm a big fan of Zombies!!!,” said Edward Douglas. “With the game celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2016, it seemed like the perfect time to undertake this project. We're working closely with the Twilight team to create something that really enhances their players' gaming experience. I think album will also resonate with our fans in the Halloween and haunted house industries. “Musically, it will be interesting to work in a modern setting,” added Gavin Goszka. “Most of our albums have been set in the Victorian and early 20th century, so this will definitely be something different and exciting for us and our fans.” “Words cannot express how excited I am to have Midnight Syndicate doing a soundtrack for Zombies!!!,” said Twilight Creations co-founder Kerry Breitenstein. “For many of our players, Midnight Syndicate's music has already been the unofficial soundtrack to their gaming sessions over the years. To have them working with us to create something specifically for our universe is incredible.” The soundtrack is tentatively scheduled for release in September 2016. What makes the house so unique is that when people visit the home the spirits that area around everyone become active when you enter. The house sits in Beverly Hills, just north of famous Sunset Boulevard down the private drive from the Sharon Tate Murders of August 9th, 1969 at the hand of Charles Manson and his “Family.” You can learn more about David, the Oman House, his films and projects by visiting the following websites and links: www.theomanhouse.com https://www.facebook.com/davidoman1969?fref=ts https://www.youtube.com/user/davidoman http://www.dewittmurders.com/overview.html So join us this week as welcome David Oman and discuss his home, the “Oman House” and the hauntings and activity that occur in his house as Shocktober continues this week on BTE Radio!

After rescheduling from July, we are happy to welcome the Mulder and Scully of the Paranormal world Greg and Dana Newkirk to the show this week. In the first half hour, we'll have our usual announcements and paranormal news then at 8:30, Eric and Marie welcome Paranormal Investigative husband and wife duo Greg and Dana Newkirk. Greg and Dana will be with us to share their adventures as they travel across the country with their "Travelling Museum of the Paranormal and Occult." We'lll talk with Dana and Greg about their interest and investigations into all things supernatural and unexplained as they will share stories with us from "Planet Weird" and more. So join us this week as we welcome Greg and Dana, who have been called the real life "Mulder and Scully" this week on BTE Radio. About Dana and Greg: Dana is a writer, researcher,of the anomalistic and occult, True believer, Journalist, ghost story enthusiast, and paranormal TV junkie, Dana has been actively investigating the strange and the anomalous for well over 15 years. And yes, after all this time, she's still scared of ghosts. If you're Canadian, you might recognize Dana as a cast member on SPACE's internationally syndicated series The Girly Ghosthunters, though she'd probably prefer it if you didn't. Dana spent her formative years tracking down the unexplained with the Kitchener Waterloo Paranormal Research Society, a hobby that led her to write about the fringe on a regular basis. Dana is currently flexing her journalistic muscle as a senior staff writer at Roadtrippers where she's carved out a considerable niche in the wild and wonderful world of offbeat travel. Her writing has been featured in local and national news outlets across the county, as well as Nerdist, io9, Jezebel, Mary Sue, Dread Central, Kotaku, and other great publications both in print and online. When she's not recounting tales of supernatural showdowns or penning articles about the world's creepiest locales, she acts as a producer, writer, host, and assistant editor for Engaging the Strange. Greg is a writer, investigative filmaker, somewhat rugger paranormal adventurer. Greg is terrified of space aliens. It's a fear he blames on being given the Time Life Mysteries book The UFO Phenomenon at 7 years old. While he may have endured nightmares involving the “Tomato Man” during his youth, it was that very book that caused him to ponder the nature of the unexplained. That, and a steady diet of the X-Files. By day, Greg is busy pointing adventurous road warriors toward the world's weirdest destinations as the face of video content and weird travel expert for Roadtrippers, the fastest growing travel website in the world. He also acts as the Editor-In-Chief for the Week in Weird, an online magazine about all things out of the ordinary. Greg's writing is regularly featured both in print and online in publications like Yahoo! News, Gizmodo, and Coast to Coast AM, as well as in local and national news networks across the country. By night, Greg tracks down and investigates cases of the anomalous, the paranormal, and the occult, and it's this research that has had him criss-crossing the continent for nearly two decades in search of monsters, mysteries, and magick. In that time he's tackled cases of encounters with mine-dwelling extraterrestrial “goblins”, witnessed the mysterious Brown Mountain Lights, drank questionable liquids with real vampires, and had books thrown at him by a poltergeist trapped in a church. In addition to researching, investigating, and writing about the paranormal, Greg has appeared on and acted as a consultant for numerous television productions on the subject of the strange, including projects that have aired on A&E, Destination America, Animal Planet, and the Discovery Channel. In 2011, Greg directed and edited the award-winning documentary The Bigfoot Hunter: Still Searching, a film that follows an ex-military monster hunter as he treks deep into the woods of southern New York in search of the Sasquatch. This week on BTE Radio, we return down the dark path of True Crime and back into the world of one of the most charming and notorious brutal serial killers Ted Bundy as we welcome back True Crime Author and Researcher Kevin M. Sullivan as we discuss his new book Trail of Ted Bundy. In the first half hour we welcome back Shawn and Marianne Donley from Dark Shadow Ghost Tours and Panic'D with another episode of the Haunted Spotlight. Then at 8:30 est, noted historical and True Crime Author Kevin M. Sullivan is back again this week as we discuss his new book the Trail of Ted Bundy. Kevin follows up on his widely acclaimed “The Bundy Murders” With the untold back stories in The Trail Of Ted Bundy. The new book is a look into the life of serial killer Ted Bundy, from those who knew him, to those who chased him, and from those who mourned his many victims… The Trail of Ted Bundy: Digging Up the Untold Stories, is a journey back in time, to when Ted Bundy was killing young women and girls in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. It's told by those who knew him, and you'll hear their revealing stories, many being voiced and put to print for the very first time. The friends of the victims are here as well, and they too share their insights about the victims, and some of what they tell here had been held back from the investigators, such was their commitment to their deceased friends. It's also the story of those who hunted Bundy; those who guarded him, and those who otherwise were a part of this strange case one way or another. The book also offers fresh information from the official record in areas not covered in the first book. To have added these “extras” in The Bundy Murders, wouldn't have made any sense at the time, yet they do make perfect sense here. And finally, for this book, I travelled to every state where Bundy operated except Florida to tell this tale, and I've added many of the insights I've gained from my years of study into this very elusive and diabolical killer. Join us this week as we welcome back True Crime and History Author Kevin M. Sullivan as we return down the dark path of the serial Killers and go further behind the scenes of Ted Bundy this week on Beyond The Edge Radio. Recent Post

BTE Radio is back this week and we're taking a trip north to a place known as America's Stonehenge. After a week off, BTE Radio is back and so are Eric and Marie. We welcome back The Haunted Spotlights Shawn Donley and Marianne Donley of Panic'D and Dark Shadow Ghost Tours with a new episode. Then at 8:30 we welcome Owner of America's Stonehenge Dennis Stone and we'll talk with Dennis about this mysterious location and what exactly it is and means. About Dennis, Dennis Stone grew up at America's Stonehenge and has been involved with the site for the last 55 years, and has met a variety of researchers. Also a full-time airline captain, Dennis has traveled extensively around the world to other ancient sites in Europe and North America. He has been on numerous television and radio shows since 1970. When he is not flying, Dennis spends his time at America's Stonehenge where his wife Pat manages the day-to-day operations of the site. Their son, Kelsey, who is an engineer, has taken an interest in ongoing research. The 4,000-year-old stone ruins of America's Stonehenge command respect. The passing millennia, the elements, and the cultures that evolved and perished around this sacred megalithic complex have all made the series of stone walls, structures, and giant carved rocks on this granite hilltop in Salem, New Hampshire a historical enigma. Finding a stone wall in the forest of a small New England town is by no means an anomaly, but finding these stone walls joined with intricate man-made stone chambers and lining up with enormous arrowhead-like monoliths that mark lunar and solar positions during events such as solstices and equinoxes, makes this place an archeological and spiritual question to ponder. There is evidence pointing to the Celts as being the architects and builders of this site in New Hampshire -- something that would cause a problem for a lot of U.S. history books. Some of Christopher Columbus's European ancestors may have beaten him in the race to the new world by as much as 3500 years! For more information on Dennis Stone and his familie's America's Stonehenge I strongly suggest you visit his websitehttp://stonehengeusa.com/ So join us as we're back this week, welcoming Shawn and Marianne Donley of the Haunted Spotlight and this weeks guest Dennis Stone of America's Stonehenge.
Back to Back Creature Features just in time for the PA Bigfoot Camping Adventure! This week we welcome back long time Bigfoot Researcher, Paranormal Investigator and Author Steve Kulls. Steve is one of the speakers at the 2016 Pennsylvania Bigfoot Camping Adventure and joins us a the week before to talk with us about his research and findings over the past twenty years. Joining us in the first half hour are Dark Shadow Ghost Tours and Panic'D's Shawn Donley and Marianne Donley with another episode of the Haunted Spotlight. Then Steve joins us at 8:30 to talk all things "Squatchy" About Steve: Steve, a professional investigator, has had a lifelong fascination with the Bigfoot phenomena since an early age. In 1998 after reading "Monsters of the Northwoods", Steve like many of the general population had believed that sightings were exclusive to the Pacific Northwest, learned that there were numerous sighting reports close to his residence in upstate New York. Steve began his quest first in 1998 seeking knowledge from other researchers in the field. In 2003 Steve met two of the authors of Monsters of the Northwoods and was invited to apply for BFRO membership. By that time Steve had his own small grass roots organization and website. After Steve had talked to the lead investigator, Steve conducted picture analysis on the videographer's website where it was determined the time line did not match the photos at all and Steve declared the Sonoma video a hoax on that premise. Several months later it was revealed that the video was perpetrated by the comic duo of Penn and Teller for their cable TV series. Picture Steve exposed the "Georgia Bigfoot Body" hoax and attained information which implicated SFBI CEO Tom Biscardi as being part of the hoax and not being duped as he claimed. Steve also exposed a blog by the name of "Bigfoot Ballyhoo" as a hoax as well, coordinating the tracking down of the real people the site used on the site, to prove the site's claims were a hoax. Steve firmly believes in a "boots on the ground", methodology of obtaining evidence for or against, evidence regarding the Sasquatch mystery. Steve has had three sightings in the last ten years and a handful of what he describes as "most likely, close encounters" with the creatures, after initially entering the field quite skeptical. Steve has appeared on numerous local news programs around the country and national venues such as Fox and Friends, and interviewed in print in over 100 newspapers over the last ten years. Steve has appeared on the History Channel the National Geographic Channel, featured on several programs. He is also the host of the long time running internet radio program Squatchdetective Radio. Steve is a former Licensed Private Investigator, in New York, and retail investigator of 19 years. To learn more about Steve visit his website www.http://squatchdetective.weebly.com/.

This week on the show Eric and Marie welcome Author, Investigator and Ohioan Jim Willis as talk about his dozen plus books, some of the haunted locations in Ohio and his research into the paranormal Not since the Headless Horseman went charging through Sleepy Hollow has something come out of the Hudson Highlands of upstate New York as thrilling and chilling as author and paranormal researcher James A. Willis. Fueled by a steady childhood diet of Boo Berry cereal, Creepy magazine, and late-night Vincent Price movies, Willis soon developed a taste for the unexplained and quickly began seeking out all things strange and spooky. When he wasn't trying to coax the boogeyman out from under his bed for a photo shoot, Willis pondered such eternal questions as what happens to us when we die, is there life on other planets, and what possesses someone to decorate their house with 1,001 milk jugs? In 1999, after spending more than 15 years chasing after ghosts and visiting crybaby bridges, Willis moved to Ohio and founded The Ghosts of Ohio (ghostsofohio.org), a nationally recognized paranormal research organization. Willis has grown the organization to well over 35 members in three divisions throughout the state: Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. In 2004, in what seemed to be destiny, Mark Moran and Mark Sceurman, the brainchilds of the Weird US series of books, approached Willis and asked him to contribute to their latest volume, Weird US . To date, Willis has been involved with 6 books in the Weird US series. He is the co-author of Weird Ohio (2005) and Weird Indiana (2008) and was also a contributing author to Weird US (2004), Weird Hauntings (2006), Weird US II: The ODDyssey Continues (2008), and Weird Encounters (2010). Willis' unique and offbeat writing style was officially recognized in 2006 with his induction into the Grand Order of Weird Writers. In addition, Willis has been a contributing author to several books in the Armchair Reader series, including Weird, Scary & Unusual (2008), Armchair Reader Goes Hollywood (2010), and Haunted America (2011). In 2012, Willis struck out on his own with the publication of Haunted Indiana. For 2013's The Big Book Of Ohio Ghost Stories , Willis crisscrossed Ohio to bring readers over 75 of the Buckeye state's most famous (and infamous) ghosts. Willis' latest project, Ohio's Historic Haunts: Investigating the Paranormal in the Buckeye State , was a joint effort with Kent State University Press. Released in late 2015, the book approached hauntings and ghost stories from a historical perspective and chronicled Willis' personal experiences when locked inside of some of Ohio's most haunted locations. A sought-after public speaker, Willis has given presentations throughout the United States, during which he has educated and entertained tens of thousands of people of all ages in crowd sizes ranging from 10 to well over 600. He has also been featured in more than 75 media sources, including CNN, USA Today, Columbus Business First, Midwest Living, The Canadian Press , and even the Kuwait Times . Willis currently resides in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife and daughter, a Queen-loving parrot, and three narcoleptic cats.
