With the end of development camps around the NHL there isn't much on ice product to speak of until September. We at the Forecheck however continue to stride forward. Two players have called it a career...Michael Stone and Patric Hornqvist. We take a look at a few value UFA's still available as of this show; Bear, Dumba, Comtois and Suter. We also discuss why Filip Zadina is available and what to expect from Milan Lucic this upcoming season. Finally we spend most of the show waxing poetic over this year's Bruins Development Camp. Names like Ethan Ritchie, Oskar Jellvik and Ryan Kirwan come up. A lighter show this week but still opinion worthy so give a listen and tell us who you saw and liked. Enjoy the Show!
On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is joined by Nick Fairbanks(@prudentia0) for a Stanley Cup Final Edition of Fairbanks Friday. The guys discuss some of the unsung Heroes who are currently not on the ice in a game setting every day for the Panthers who have helped the Panthers get to this point(Lyon, Hornqvist and Dalpe). The guys discuss what health has done for both teams when they have had the opportunity to come back. Mark Stone coming back from injury helped a player like Chandler Stephenson elevate his game, along with his role during the regular season being up and down the lineup. Panthers can relate to that with Sam Bennett and elevating Nick Cousins' game. Lastly, the guys will discuss more of what do expect from Stanley Cup Final media day and their thoughts on the ESPN+ Docu-series "Quest to The Cup" and getting the human side of things as the Panthers have been a loose bunch throughout their playoff run. We discuss this and more on today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast: Your Team Every Day.Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

The Patric Hornqvist deal is still the main storyline going around with the Penguins and Hunter is back to talk about it, and how he's feeling a bit better about the deal a few days later. Hunter answers both of those questions, plus talks about the Stanley Cup Final as the NHL season is just about to wrap up. To end the episode, Hunter touches on the Marc Staal trade and how there could be something similar with Jack Johnson as the Penguins would have to send a sweetener for a team to take him. The Oilers have the 3 center model all signed up, with Leon Draisaitl having signed his 8-year x $8.5M contract. Are they in a cap crunch because of McDavid and Draisaitl or are there other contracts that will see RNJ moved out of Edmonton? Matt Cullen is back in Minnesota, great for the Wild, holes are starting to get deeper for Pittsburgh. They could get worse with a Hornqvist extension too! Jagr watch might wrap up in Calgary, where will Will Butcher land and what is going on in Detroit with A squared? As always thanks for listening and enjoy! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/hockey-hurts/support
