As Ukraine continues to lose ground to Russia in the east of the country, President Volodymyr Zelensky has quietly moved Ukrainian forces into Russia. Post correspondents have documented the operation and witnessed the Russian soldiers taken captive by Ukrainian forces in this surprise incursion. Additional Post reporting alongside Ukrainian forces revealed the state of Sudzha, a captured Russian town in western Russia. Host Martine Powers speaks with Ukraine bureau chief Isabelle Khurshudyan in Kyiv about why Ukraine advanced into Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin's response, and what might happen to the people in this newly occupied area of Russia. Coronado explicó que “Están apuntando a la desesperación de las personas de las caravanas, para que conforme pasen las horas y no los dejen avanzar, ellos mismos decidan regresar a su país”. Desde Rusia nos atendió la corresponsal de The Washington Post, Isabelle Khurshudyan, quien nos contó que “Hoy va a haber un juicio para determinar si Navalny violó o no los términos de su libertad condicional, y si debería continuar prisionero”, explicando que “El caso original por el cual se le acusa fue fabricado, pero ahora se le está acusando por la violación de su libertad condicional”, puesto que “El alegato es que se curó en octubre, pero permaneció todos estos meses en Alemania”, por lo que “Navalny está enfrentando una sentencia de prisión de tres años y medio”. Khurshudyan destacó que “Venir a Rusia fue una evidencia de valor y de lo que Navalny está dispuesto a jugarse por el pueblo ruso”. También conversamos con el periodista de Armando.Info, Roberto Deniz, quien nos comentó que “Álex Saab, desde mediados del 2019, ha sido quien está dirigiendo y monopolizando todas las exportaciones petroleras”, resaltando que “Desde que está detenido, el esquema de exportaciones petroleras de Venezuela ha sido el mismo”. Y para cerrar, el periodista Claudio Savoia nos habló acerca del caso de la muerte de Alberto Nisman, hecho ocurrido hace ya seis años: “Nisman era el fiscal que investigaba el atentado terrorista contra la sede de la mutual judía en Buenos Aires”, comentó, relatando que “Cuatro días antes de ser hallado muerto con un balazo en la cabeza en su casa, Nisman había denunciado a Cristina Kirchner”, a quien “Había acusado de tratar de encubrir el atentado que él investigaba a través de un pacto entre Argentina e Irán” y “La noche previa a que Nisman tuviera que explicar su denuncia ante el congreso de Argentina, aparece muerto en su casa”.
