June 4, 2019. Fairview Park, Ohio. 40-year old Carnell Sledge and his 33-year old friend, Kate Brown, agree to meet up at the Rocky River Reservation in the Cleveland Metroparks and they each drive there in their respective vehicles. Within 15 minutes of their arrival, Carnell and Kate are both fatally shot in the head near a park bench and the perpetrator manages to flee the scene without anyone seeing or hearing anything. Investigators look into the backgrounds of both victims to see if anyone had a motive to harm them, but are unable to turn up any evidence to implicate anyone and the crime remains unsolved. Park Bench Murders ////// 856Part 1 of 1  www.TrueCrimeGarage.comOn June 4, 2019, a little after 5 P.M., longtime friends Carnell “Nell” Sledge and Katherine “Kate” Brown arrived at the Rocky River Reservation which is a section of the Cleveland MetroParks.  Both met at a pull-off gravel parking lot near the Lorain Road Bridge.  Carnell and Katherine were shot and killed near a park bench shortly after arriving.  Carnell was only 40 years old and Katherine was just 33 years old.  These homicides are still unsolved.  We covered this case before (see below) and will continue to follow up as necessary until an arrest(s) is made.  Anyone with information regarding these murders is asked to call the FBI's Cleveland field office at 216-622-6842. On 17 July 2021, after an evening out, Natalie was found deceased on a park bench in Southall Park. The investigation revealed that she had been repeatedly assaulted by Mohamed Iidow, a 35-year-old man who targeted her while she was unconscious. The brutal attack led to Natalie suffering a fatal heart attack. Iidow was subsequently arrested, found guilty of rape and manslaughter, and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 10 years and 8 months. On June 4, 2019, longtime friends Carnell Sledge and Katherine Brown were out walking at the Rocky River Reservation in Ohio. They had sat down on a bench along the river when they were suddenly shot dead.
