Jaguar started its big crossover push in 2016 with the launch of its F-Pace. Considering the luxury crossover space is full of brute 'utes, it only makes sense that Jaguar found another home for its 5.0-liter supercharged V8. Even though this Jag made its first appearance nearly a decade ago, the team behind it gave it a serious update for 2021. While the Jaguar F-Type is scheduled to see the end of the line next year, this F-Pace moves along with the 5.0-liter still under its hood. While the supercharged 5.0-liter is the star of the F-Pace's show, it's not the only upgrade. The F-Pace SVR also receives a special SVR body kit, quad exhaust tips, and revised suspension tuning to take advantage of the supercharged V8. On this episode of Quick Spin, Autoweek's Patrick Carone hops behind the wheel of the '24 Jaguar F-Pace SVR and puts it through its pace. Authorities stated his months of good behaviour in Japanese jail mean they allowed him back into the community ahead of the expected January 2023 date. Ein Autohersteller, der heutzutage keinen Plug-in-Hybriden im Programm hat, der hat es auf Dauer schwer, Kunden zu finden. Das hat weniger mit der Dienstwagenbesteuerung zu tun, sondern mehr mit dem gestiegenen Umweltbewusstsein der Käufer. Jaguar kann bei diesen Kunden mit dem F-Pace P400e punkten. Darum geht es diesmal!404. Das ist aus meiner Sicht eine schöne Zahl, die auch als – zugegebenermaßen simples – Palindrom zu sehen ist. Palindrome sind Buchstaben, ganze Sätze oder Ziffernfolgen, die vorwärts wie rückwärts gelesen identisch sind. Anna zum Beispiel oder eben 404. Wir sprechen heute allerdings nicht über ein Palindrom, sondern über die PS-Zahl eines Motors im Jaguar F-Pace P400e AWD R-Dynamic S. Power und Drive!    Wenn wir von (297 kW) 404 PS sprechen, dann ist die so genannte Systemleistung gemeint. (221 kW) 300 PS steuert der 2.0 Liter 4-Zylinder-Turbobenziner bei, der Rest wird von einem Elektromotor geliefert. Fast noch beeindruckender ist das maximale Drehmoment von 640 Newtonmetern, das zwischen 1.500 und 4.400 Umdrehungen bereitsteht. Man nimmt es am stärksten beim Spurt von 0 auf Tempo 100 wahr. Der ist nach 5,3 Sekunden Vergangenheit, wenn die Straßen es zulassen – also sehr selten – schafft man sogar ganz locker eine Spitzengeschwindigkeit von 240 km/h. Doch auch gemütlich auf der Landstraße mit Tempo 100 ist der Jaguar F-Pace P400e ein Genuss. Dafür sorgt in hohem Maß auch die 8-Gang-Automatik. Man gleitet mit dem im Jaguar-Land-Rover-Werk Solihull gebauten Nobel-SUV also ausgesprochen angenehm durch die Lande. Bei schlechtem Untergrund schaltet sich zudem der intelligente Allradantrieb AWD ein. Unter normalen Bedingungen – sprich auf trockenem und festem Untergrund – geht nahezu das gesamte Drehmoment des Motors auf die Hinterräder. Wird an einem der Hinterräder Schlupf gemessen, dann sorgt das elektronische Regelsystem IDD dafür, dass bedarfsgerecht Drehmoment auch auf die Vorderachse geleitet wird. Kraftstoff- bzw. Stromverbrauch gehen kombiniert jeweils bei 2,4 l bzw. 17,5 kWh/100 km los; die CO2 Emissionen ab 54 g/km.Die Kosten!Grundsätzlich ist ein Jaguar F-Pace ab 56.115, - € zu haben, schon dafür gibt es (120 kW) 163 PS, Allradantrieb und ein 8-Gang-Automatikgetriebe. Die automobile Klasse des Jaguar F-Pace P400e AWD R-Dynamic S mit 297 kW (404 PS), gibt es natürlich nicht zum Preis eines Kleinwagens, sondern ab 77.000,00 €. Aber die sind dem Fahrzeug angemessen. The Jaguar F-Pace is Jaguar-Land Rover's answer to the ever-increasing demand for crossovers. While the British car company is best known for its sports cars and luxury sedans, crossovers are now the lay of the land. Taking its sporting past, and the company's current sporting offerings, Jaguar stuffed its high-performance, supercharged 5.0-liter V8 under the hood of its F-Pace crossover. Dubbed the Jaguar F-Pace SVR, this high-performance crossover takes the commuter F-Pace and turns it into a 550 hp, snarling machine. The Jaguar F-Pace SVR also sees revised bodywork to make it more visually aggressive and an updated brake system to help keep you in control.
