Ich finde, einen Kia Sportage erkennt man in allen bisherigen Modellgenerationen auf Anhieb, ohne die Typbezeichnung zu lesen. Das ist auch bei der aktuellen Generation so. Die Kia-Designer haben dem aktuellen Sportage ein ganz neues „Gesicht“ verliehen. Das LED-Tagfahrlicht, bisher bumerangförmig, zeigt nun die für die jüngsten Kia-Modelle typische „Star Map“-Grafik und unterstreicht die Breite des Kühlergrills im charakteristischen „Tigernase“- Design. Eine sehr gelungene Auffrischung.  Darum geht es diesmal!Wer am Kauf eines Kia Sportage Interesse hat, der hat wahrhaftig die sprichwörtliche Qual der Wahl. Gilt es doch, sich zwischen zwei Benzinern, einem Diesel-Mildhybrid, einem Vollhybrid und einem Plug-in Hybrid zu entscheiden. Nicht genug damit, ist auch noch die Entscheidung zwischen Front- oder Allradantrieb, Schaltgetriebe oder Automatik bzw. Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (DCT) zu treffen. Schaut man sich dann auch noch die einzelnen Ausstattungslinien an, kann es ein langes Wochenende werden! Power und Drive!    Diese Qual der Wahl hat uns Kia abgenommen und uns aus dem Pressefuhrparkt einen Sportage 1.6 T-GDI Hybrid mit Frontantrieb in der GT-line zu den Testfahrten überlassen. Somit konnten wir uns getrost wichtigeren Dingen widmen. Der 1.6 T-GDI hat als Hybrid zum einen den 1,6-Liter Turbobenziner mit 132-kW-Motor (180 PS), er wird mit einem 48-kW-Elektroantrieb kombiniert. Die Gesamtleistung des Sportage Hybrid, der sowohl mit Front-, als auch mit Allradantrieb erhältlich ist, liegt dadurch bei 176 kW (239 PS). Bezüglich der Fahrleistungen muss man sich jedenfalls keine Gedanken machen. Eine Sechs-Gang-Automatik ist Serie, 196 km/h in der Spitze bei beiden Antriebsvarianten und die Beschleunigung von 0–100 km/h in 8,1 Sekunden beim Allradler sprechen eine klare Sprache, der Fronttriebler schafft das sogar in 7,9 Sekunden. Auch beim kombinierten Verbrauch nehmen sich die Antriebe kaum etwas, 6,5 Liter auf 100 Kilometer sind es mit vier angetriebenen Rädern, 5,8 beim Fronttriebler.  Die Kosten!Der Kia Sportage Hybrid kostet je nach Antriebsart, also Front- oder Allradantrieb und natürlich abhängig von der jeweiligen Ausstattung zwischen 38.990,00 Euro und 51.190,00 Euro, das empfinde ich jeweils als angemessen!Die Ausstattungsliste des Kia Sportage kann ich aus Zeitgründen gar nicht herunterbeten, ich will allerdings mal drauf hinweisen, dass Kia – im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Herstellern, bei Apple CarPlayTM und Android AutoTM den Käufern nicht zusätzlich in die Taschen greift, das muss einfach mal positiv erwähnt werden! Das gilt übrigens schon für den kleinen Picanto, nicht nur für die größeren und teureren Fahrzeuge. Nová značka áut Omoda čelí reputačnému peklu pre virálne poľské video. Neverte však všetkému, čo vidíte na internete. My sme jej SUV jazdili týždeň, sumarizujeme pozitívne aj negatívne poznatky z testu. Asi ste aj vy videli video s poľským novinárom, ktorý na čínskom SUV odtrhol volant aj so stĺpikom riadenia. „Ja som mal toto auto celý týždeň, prešiel som ním tisíc kilometrov a viem posúdiť, že táto internetová senzácia je buď zinscenovaný podvod, alebo urputná snaha uškodiť značke Omoda,“ hovorí v podcaste Erik Stríž z portálu Autobazar.EU.V tejto epizóde sa venujeme nielen osobnej skúsenosti s čínskym SUV Omoda 5, ako aj prekvapujúco zaujímavej konferencii Toyoty a BECEPu o zdanlivo nudnej téme - používaní bezpečnostných pásov. Napokon nás odborníci ohromili tým, čo ukázali a povedali. V podcaste budete vidieť a počuť aj známeho lietajúceho doktora Michala Pečíka a zástupcu organizácie BECEP Romana Töröka.Skúsenosti s Omoda 5Značka Omoda je u nás horúcou novinkou, vstúpila na slovenský trh spoločne s ďalšou čínskou značkou áut Jaecoo. Obe patria pod automobilku Chery. O dovoz a servis oboch sa stará dobre etablovaný importér a zaujímavosťou je, že nejde len o elektromobily, ale aj konvenčné benzínové automobily s moderným hybridným pohonom.Testovaný model 5 je stredne veľké SUV, veľkosťou zodpovedá Škode Karoq, Hyundaiu Kona či Citroënu C3 Aircross. Vzhľadom sa nápadne podobá na Nissan Qashqai, ale nemôžeme hovoriť o kopírovaní. Omoda je svojská, poukazujú na to najmä detaily. Naviac, Qashqai je dlhší o 5 centimetrov a rázvor má dlhší o 4 centimetre.Priestrannosť interiéru je však porovnateľná aj s Hyundai Tucson či Kia Sportage. Naše subjektívne dojmy z interiéru boli naozaj pozitívne. Nepostrehli sme vŕzganie, nepresnosti v dielenskom vypracovaní, ani sme nemali dojem, že by bol volant labilný. Samozrejme, nevieme, ako budú povrchové materiály vyzerať o niekoľko rokov. Keď budú Omody dostupné ako jazdenky so 100-tisíc km, pozrieme sa znova.Omoda sa prezentuje ako technologicky vyspelá značka a treba povedať, že na nás aj tak pôsobila najmä vďaka dobre spravenému infotainmentu a bezpečnostným funkciám. Infotainment pripomína systémy v Tesle, Xpengu či v nových Volkswagenoch. Občas sme registrovali menšie spomalenia systému a také udržiavanie v strede jazdného pruhu nebolo úplne spoľahlivé, ale celkový dojem je prevažne pozitívny. Oceňujeme slovenskú lokalizáciu a najmä stabilné bezdrôtové Android Auto. S ním majú teraz automobilky z nejakého dôvodu problémy.Toto je nie elektrické SUV. Omodu 5 poháňa benzínový 1.6 T-GDI, čo je štvorvalcový benzínový motor so solídnym výkonom 108 kW (147 koní). Má krútiaci moment až 275 Nm, automatická prevodovka má 7 stupňov a dve spojky. Vskutku dobrý základ pre dynamickú jazdu.Po týždni však musíme uznať, že nás tento motor mierne sklamal pre svoju veľmi priemernú pružnosť. Na diaľnici nám neraz pripravil nemilé prekvapenie, keď reagoval s oneskorenami a príliš rozvážne. Práca automatickej prevodovky bola chvíľami tiež príliš citeľná, tendencia podtáčať motor je tu zrejme kvôli spĺňaniu nárokov emisnej normy EURO 6e.Lenže pri mestských rýchlostiach sme vedeli oceniť kultivovaný chod, pokojný jazdný prejav a dosť dobrú schopnosť tlmičov filtrovať nerovnosti. Omoda 5 má vzadu vpredu nápravu typu MacPherson, čo je štandard, no vzadu viacprvkovú nápravu multi-link. To už štandard nie je, mnohé európske kompaktné SUV majú vzadu len tuhé nápravy, teda závislé zavesenie kolies. Azda aj to prospieva stabilite vozidla v meste aj pri ofenzívnom jazdnom štýle, no nevyhýba sa nakláňaniu karosérie. A vyslovene nás Omoda 5 vytrápila v miernom teréne, kde sa karoséria vyslovene zmietala. Skrátka, toto auto je určené na spevnenú vozovku, čo najkvalitnejšiu.Omoda 5 ICE na Slovensku ponúka...

La definición comúnmente aceptada es la siguiente: Ambos son aditamentos aerodinámicos que en el caso de los spoiler están “pegados” a la carrocería y en el caso de los alerones estás separados. La aerodinámica de un coche es, aunque no lo parezca, más complicada que la de un avión. ¿El motivo? El avión avanza un una masa de aire y rodeado por el aire, pero el coche va pegado a una superficie fija que es la carretera… la interacción del viento entre el coche que se mueve y la carretera fija es fuente de problemas… El viento que se cuela por los bajos del coche por un lado se ve frenado por la superficie fija de la carretera y por otro se ve acelerado por los bajos del coche, salvo en coches muy modernos o deportivos, llenos de “cosas” que enredan en el viento, lo cual crea muchas turbulencias que tienen un efecto malo y otro, pero. Hablemos de alerones. Si las alas de un avión sirven para que el avión se despegue del suelo y vuele, una alerón, que no es más que un ala invertida, consigue justo lo contrario: Que el coche no despegue… Como sabéis su implantación en competición multiplico las prestaciones por el aumento de la velocidad de paso por curva. Y llegamos al punto clave de este video: ¿Sirven para algo o solo de adorno? Y os voy a responder con un ejemplo que todos conocéis: El Ford Sierra Cosworth, con su característico y enorme alerón… ¿era de adorno o servía para algo? Vamos con los datos: Cuando fui a la presentación de este coche un ingeniero de la marca que dijo que a 160 km/h el empuje hacia debajo de este alerón era equivalente a 20 kg. Otras fuentes dan otra cifra que no es contradictoria, pues hablar de un empuje de 40 kg, pero a la velocidad máxima de en torno a los 240 km/h. Hablemos de coches “normales”. Y por suerte o por desgracia, nada más normal que un SUV. El Cosworth es un caso limite. Volvamos a la normalidad, a la realidad. He escogido un coche casi al azar, un SUV, en concreto un Kia Sportage actual que lleva, como no, su spoiler posterior sobre la luneta… un coche que, en su versión más ligera, supera la tonelada y media y se supone que alcanza, en su versión más potentes, los 192 km/h. ¿Qué apoyo extra puede ofrecer el spoiler del Kia? Pues a 120 km/h… no más de 2 o 3 kilos en un coche de más de 1.500 kg. No hemos hablado del spoiler delanteros, pero más de lo mismo: Muy eficaces no son a las velocidades legales. Y menos en un SUV. Cuando veo coches de este tipo o TT, como pueden ser los modernos Range Rover, con amago de spoiler, me parto de risa… Bonitos, son bonitos, pero a un coche alto, de más de dos toneladas y a 120 km/h… un spoiler no le sirve de nada. Pero insisto, quedar, quedan muy bien y son “resultones”. Mucho más sirve llevar los bajos del coche carenado, pues aún a velocidades bajas todo ese entramado de tubos de escape, brazos de suspensión y otras cosas, si crean turbulencias… pero eso no se ve, y los spoilers y alerones, sí. La conclusión es: Seamos positivos, porque todo suma. Porque unas centésimas de CX por allí, otras por allá, un fondo plano, un buen Cx… pues al final algo hacen… pero poca cosa. Así que no nos engañemos: La función más importante de todos estos spoilers y alerones es estética… Y si sumamos el hecho de que hacen bonito al hecho de que no hacen ningún mal., al revés, poco o micho algo ayudan… pues que sean bienvenidos.

Het aantal autodiefstallen is flink gestegen in de eerste helft van het jaar. De Stichting Verzekeringsbureau Voertuigcriminaliteit (VbV) telt 3645 gestolen personenauto's. Allegedly under the influence of cocaine, marijuana, and fentanyl, Brock reportedly caused the collision while driving westbound in the eastbound lane, crashing into Jose Cuellar's Kia Sportage. Leonard Johnson was killed, and Cuellar and Maria Cuellar were seriously injured. Brock's boyfriend, Aaron Thedford, was also injured. Police refute Brock's claim that Thedford grabbed the wheel, stating evidence suggests Brock accelerated toward oncoming traffic. Brock, found driving without insurance or a seatbelt, is held without bond at Cobb County Adult Detention Center. STORY 2: Teenager Accused of Having Gun at Sprayberry High School Cameron Mekhi Hester, 17, is accused of possessing a .177 caliber Daisy pistol in his bookbag following a physical altercation at Sprayberry High School on March 14. Assistant Principal Richmond Parker discovered the gun during an administrative search. Hester faces a charge of carrying weapons within a school safety zone. He was arrested on March 22 and booked into Cobb County Adult Detention Center, later released on a $3,500 bond.     STORY 3: Cobb County Stormwater Fee Vote Delayed Amid Deluge of Opposition The Cobb Board of Commissioners, considering a stormwater fee, faced significant opposition during a meeting packed with residents. Commissioner Jerica Richardson expressed hesitancy after public comment, requesting more education for residents and stakeholder meetings. The proposed fee would fund stormwater infrastructure improvements, but many residents opposed it, calling it a tax burden. Richardson's motion to delay the vote was supported, aiming to refine the proposal and engage the community further. Changes included increasing the number of speakers allowed from 12 to 20 but reducing their speaking time from five to three minutes each. Speakers are now restricted to one slot per meeting, and commissioners' remarks after public comment periods were shortened to three minutes. Discussion also arose about prohibiting audiovisual presentations during public comment due to cybersecurity concerns, with Chairwoman Lisa Cupid suggesting addressing concerns separately. Despite opposition, most changes were approved, including limits on commissioners' presentations and prohibitions on campaigning during public comments. STORY 5: 'Accountability and Protection': Marietta Discusses Squatting Solutions Marietta Mayor Steve Tumlin has proposed an ordinance aimed at addressing squatting and homelessness in the city. The ordinance would prohibit squatting on private and public property during certain hours and impose fines for violations. Despite concerns about criminalizing homelessness, the City Council discussed the proposal, emphasizing the need for public-private partnerships to address the underlying issues. The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has been a face in this segment for a long long long time, and has been renewed with Nissan bones. The 2023 Kia Sportage PHEV is a bit less familiar, but has a few interesting changes compared to the similar Hyundai Tucson PHEV. Weight, seating, and other charging gimmicks help differentiate these two, but Sami comes down with an interesting verdict when it comes to summing these rides up. When it started life in the mid-'90s, it might have been hard to picture the Kia Sportage growing up to where it is now, or having three different styles of powertrain. Entering its fifth generation in 2021, the Sportage badge evolved with the times. The latest Sportage follows the bold and angular styling seen across the Kia and Hyundai lineup, and perfectly matches the stylized Kia logo. Under the Sportage's hood, you'll find a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated I4 that makes 187 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque, or one of two hybrid systems that help out the turbocharged 1.6-liter mill. The traditional hybrid powertrain makes 227 hp, while the plug-in hybrid model makes 261 hp. Both hybrid models boast the same 258 lb-ft of torque. To grab a larger slice of the pie from Ford Escape, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, the fifth generation Kia Sportage gets a big redesign. Literally. It goes from smallest to among the largest in class with best-in-class rear legroom and cargo room. There's also a fuel efficient hybrid powertrain (a plug-in is coming), plus there's a new X-Pro model designed to travel rugged terrain to get you to the good mountain biking trails.
