J-Bunny sits down on Skype and talks to Ryan Shuck of the bands Adema and Julien-K, and formerly of Orgy and Dead by Sunrise.  They discuss Ryan's start in music in the band Sexart with Jonathan Davis from Korn, how that friendship led to Orgy signing with Korn's label Elementree Records, why the original lineup of Orgy disbanded, and whether there is a possibility of ever reuniting. They also cover how issues at the end of the original lineup of Orgy led to the formation of Julien-K, how Ryan's friendship with Chester Bennington led to the collaboration between Julien-K and Chester called Dead by Sunrise, and how the creative process for Julien-K compared to that of Orgy. On the Adema front J-Bunny and Ryan discuss the band's tumultuous relationship with original singer Marky Chavez, why some of the band's later material is not available to stream on Spotify, how Ryan became the band's latest singer, and what their plans are for the future. My guest today is David Gnozzi a platinum mixing/mastering engineer and producer, as well as the creator and host of the popular YouTube channel MixbusTV and a Pro Mix Academy Tutor. David is a former professional musician with 2 albums published (Universal Records and Danse Macabre Records), and he has been recording and mixing for almost 20 years, he fully dedicated himself to recording, mix and mastering after ending his career as musician in 2010. David initially started to gain recognition as a mixing engineer after successful remixes for Ladytron and Felix Da Housecat. His credits include: Raygun Romance, MC Solaar, Ryan Shuck (Orgy, Adema, Julien-K), Daniel Graves (Aesthetic Perfection), Mad Gallica, Danny Blue, Stonebreed, The Nest, and Italian pop superstar, Valeria Rossi to name a few. He mixed various projects for Universal Records, Nettwerk Records and Virgin Radio and video games such as Fallout 4 and Rock Band 3. In 2017, David worked with one of France's most famous and influential hip hop artists of all times, MC Solaar, mixing the multiplatinum album Geopoetique. The release also went on to win “album of the year” at the French Music Awards. In 2014 he started the now popular Youtube channel MixbusTv, which became one of the most trusted and respected online resources for audio mix and mastering. David does “how to” video tutorials for the studio. And with an ever expanding list of partners like AMS Neve, SSL, Empirical Labs, and many more, he's known for his detailed and very technical reviews of pro audio hardware and software. Frank Zummo is currently the drummer of the rock band SUM 41, EDM Artist Kayzo, and has recently begun releasing music and doing live performances under his own name. His schooling started with Dom Famularo and continued at the Drummer's Collective in Manhattan. In 2004, Zummo co-founded the award-winning drum ensemble Street Drum Corps, which became his biggest project to date, resulting in countless world tours, Vegas residencies and performances onstage with Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars, Chris Cornell (Soundgarden); and has now expanded into a nationwide franchise with several theme park residencies. Julien K singer Ryan Shuck called in to talk about their new album "Harmonic Disruptor" (out now). Plus, we talk Star Wars Episode 9, owning restaurants, meeting Amir Derakh, Orgy, co-writing "Blind" and "Daddy" for Korn and the latest with his other band Adema and where they are at in the recording process of their new album

We had a great time talking with Amir and we got a first hand account of how Ryan Shuck is doing in rehab. We also discussed the importance of realizing when you have a problem and getting help. Another thing we talked about was the extent that covid 19 has had on not only Julien-k but on Amir and Ryan since both own restaurants. The inability of being able to play hasn't slowed Amir down and Julien-k is hard at work on new record Trauma Echoes. Plus we got into the creation of Dead by Sunrise with Chester Bennington and Jonathan Davis calling them to be direct support on his solo tour. A really interesting insight of the end of the original Orgy lineup, Chester Bennington's wife, Talinda's 320 festival, how long he has been friends with Ryan, what he accredits to his success, the new band he is producing out of Orange County called Slaves to Humanity and so much more!
