It, therefore, becomes more important for us to consciously unplug and make space for stillness, contemplation, and rejuvenation. Otherwise, we can blunder along with the demands of the moment until we find ourselves carried away on the river of life completely out of control and lost as to our purpose. Hence, the cosmos and mother nature have come to the rescue with a nice, slow-down aspect, Jupiter squaring Saturn while the Capricorn Sun squares the Moon's nodes. There is great wisdom in the stars, and while you can look to where these are aspecting your natal chart, you can also gain some footing just knowing that the energy of the times (for everyone) are pointing to "downtime."  Rather than seeing it as a bummer and getting dragged down, bored, or depressed that things aren't moving as fast as you would like, it's pretty purposeful if viewed from a higher perspective. When you watch a replay or a movie in slow motion, you notice so much more than watching it at regular speed! If I want to be miserable, I can think about everything that's wrong, And if I want to improve my day, I can dance and sing a song. ☉ Let's welcome in the Solstice full Moon in Capricorn! Sun joining Venus/Mercury in Cancer says it's all about what's going inside that counts. Moon in Capricorn says it's all about bringing order, structure, and commitment to the outside. Do we change the world or change ourselves? Are we here to serve others or grow and evolve within? The answer is, BOTH!  Gotta balance the outside with inside, the profession and the career, helping others with helping ourselves. The trouble is that our cultural conditioning has been and is lopsidedly focused on profession, giving to others, going to work, and doing what we're told by external authorities that want us to PRODUCE. Time to take a step back and see just how balanced you are and whether you are giving your life away or not. Are you spending as much time with yourself as you are with everybody else? Are you as committed to yourself as you are to the boss, family, or beloved? Are you as aware of your feelings as you are of your thoughts? If not, then expect some domestic strife to arise and show you where you are over or underdoing it. If you're working too hard to the exclusion of a personal life, you'll have family, domestic, and emotional problems. If you're too into yourself, your feelings, security needs, and emotions, you'll have a professional crisis to get your attention. The more balanced with personal and professional, the fewer personal or professional problems we'll have! Check it out - it's true!

Make no mistake, we are in an earthly initiation to a new level of human experience! And just like the rites of passage we all go through, from losing our baby teeth to entering puberty and adulthood, there are necessary, ordered, and timely steps to be taken. The zodiac is our guide. The word "networking" is a common buzzword nowadays with the World Wide Web. It falls under both Gemini and Aquarius and has at least two different interpretations. Gemini, ruled by the planet of communication, Mercury, is the third "step" in the 12-step zodiacal order. It is an initial reaching of an as yet undefined personality/ego to become familiar with its surrounding environment = curiosity. In many ways, "social media" expresses this intellectual, superficial exploration. Mars has been stimulating this arena since August and will continue to do so until March. Another, more "advanced" form of networking is experienced through Aquarius, the eleventh sign of the zodiac. Beyond personal curiosity, the soul has individualized itself through Cancer, Leo, and Virgo, learned relationship and intimacy through Libra and Scorpio, and expanded its consciousness to include an understanding of natural law in Sagittarius, societal rules, laws, and regulations in Capricorn, and is therefore prepared to assist the collective consciousness of humanity in attaining a liberated and enlightened future in Aquarius. Self-interest, advancement, and development have already been attained and evolved. Individuated ego is now seeking nothing more than truth, awareness, and the welfare of others, the planet, and the future. This is the networking that I am speaking of in this week's mantra. We understand that Saturn, the great teacher and Lord of Karma, through his 28-year journey around the zodiac, is nearing the end of his sojourn through this sign. The Sun, having spent two months shining the light on our ability to relate, deepen, and strengthen our capabilities in the realm of intimate relationship, is now nearing the end of his sojourn through Sagittarius, where we grapple with and deepen our capacity to find meaning and purpose for our lives. This week, the Moon is transiting through Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio to, in some ways, "finish up" these relationship lessons in preparation for the next step of social integration. This all relates to and expands upon the term "co-create." A co-creation of unindividualized, self-interested (or greedy) souls who do not yet possess the ability to deeply, humanly relate/love, and therefore have a limited understanding of the meaning and purpose of life, are going to create a reality far different from the mature, evolved souls that have gone through all the necessary stages of evolution. This leads us back to the success or failure of the entire cyclical process mentioned in the Sabian symbol for Jupiter entering Aries. I hope that there are enough souls who have faced and successfully completed the challenges presented from Cancer through to Capricorn, who can now co-create a new paradigm based upon a commonly shared vision of a "garden of earthly delight." Such a garden can only be created and maintained through selfless acts of conscious service to a heartfelt picture of a future that includes all its participants' rights, freedoms, interests, and fulfillment. I come to the mountains, forests and streams, To connect with my heart and soul. Sitting in silence under the Sun, I know all that I need to know. There's always so much more to say! I'm trying to keep these short because I know you are busy, and I got feedback after that 1/2 hour one that it was just too long! So this week, I'm sorry to not have even mentioned Black Moon Lilith (seen in the thumbnail and opening) conjuncting the Sun at the 27th degree of Gemini. The Sabian symbol for that degree is: "A gypsy emerging from the forest wherein her tribe is encamped." Feel into that one! This reminds me that I barely touched on depression but know that it is almost palpable in the air, though many seek to ignore it. Both Mars conjunct Chiron and Venus/nodes square Saturn have to do with feeling, remembering, and healing deep emotional wounds from this life and others. Let's be clear, if you're not feeling some sorrow and grief these days, you are out of touch with your humanity! Yet, as Shakespeare said: "Parting is but sweet sorrow." Sitting in sadness can bring us down (or bring feelings up, whichever way you want to look at it) into deeper layers of our soul nature that hold many truths and bring tremendous self-knowledge. Let's remember that Aries/Mars rules both action and reaction. Chiron will bring to the surface times in the past when we have suffered as a result of "overacting," possibly incurring damage on others or Gaia due to impulsive, indiscriminate, unconscious willfulness. Conversely, this conjunction may bring up memories when our "overreacting" brought blame, shame, or pain to others. And let's not forget the opposite as that is what Chiron's wounds most often signify, UNDER acting, or failure to act or react when it was necessary, proper, and needed and we or others experienced pain as a result. The overdoing or underdoing symbolized by Chiron's placement in your birth chart and in transit is a result of what I will call "soul fragmentation," an aspect of yourself that has been separated from your soul identity from any number of past experiences and is therefore not connected, representing, or in alignment with your true nature. This week (and when Jupiter comes to Chiron next year) is a perfect time for soul retrieval wherein you call back these fragmented portions of your psyche. Have compassion for and forgive yourself (and others you may have blamed), and relax, exhale, and feel the relief of being reunited. In the midst of complications, I will not forget, That the point of life and living, Is to love and reconnect. Again, we are multidimensional beings living in a three-dimensional reality TEMPORARILY -- "This" is not all there is. Let us not limit ourselves to the physical senses and rational mind. We are more than that. Breaking through the duality is the path to health, vigorous vitality, clarity, connection, meaning, fulfillment, inner peace, and love. The label "bipolar," so often applied by today's limited psychology to a growing number of people, refers to individual souls who are banging their heads against the narrow perceptional box of reality that they have been given and are ready and willing to break out. The key is non-force. The power is love. Like so many martial arts teach us, once we master the art of seeing and feeling the flow of energy, we can play with it, move it, and harness its power. Awakening all our senses to what is going on around us on a multiplicity of levels brings us the capacity, the truth, and the energy to change ourselves and bring life-enhancing change to our brothers and sisters. Regardless of the state of the world, I'm getting myself together. Forgiving, forgetting, and starting anew, I raise the bar ever higher. Mars at the end of Aquarius (along with ol' Saturn, of course) wants to raise that bar and raise that bar and raise that bar even higher! Through contrast and comparison, I learn what's right for me. So the older I get the more you can bet, I'm the best that I can be. What I would like to tie into this report that I didn't really get to is Mars making his 3/4 square to Neptune. The 270-degree square signals a time when the native (or collective) has reached a culmination or peak in the social expression of the original evolutionary impulse and now needs to release what they have achieved within the limits of that society in order to individuate further. When we apply this to the Mars/Neptune cycle of approximately two years, we see that a new vision, seed, or desire to penetrate (Mars) the higher spiritual realms (Neptune) began in mid-June of 2020 with the conjunction. This may also have been a time when Spirit (Neptune) was the cause or instigator (Mars) of events in your earthly/ego life. This attempt(s) to unite personal will with divine love has now reached or achieved as much as possible in its current expression. It needs to change. It's time to liberate ourselves from old limiting conditions, beliefs, and relationships in order to "bump it up." This square, coinciding with Venus' underworld transformation, reflects that this is a time period of major change in the way we love, how we wish to be loved, and in our loving relationships. The Sun, the Moon and the Stars, Tell me there is a plan, For me and you and what to do, And when to take a stand. OK! A traumatic Pele Report experience dealing with boundaries. With my 12th house stellium, I will say I don't like limits and err on the side of oneness. However, life is a great teacher, and it is teaching me to not only stand and hold my own boundaries but look for, identify, and respect other people's! However, I will also say that I'm slightly traumatized by the angry, aggressive, and abusive language this lady used (with a 7-year-old girl at her side!) to kick my “sorry @#$” outta there! Missing the Pura Vida of Costa Rica these days! Anyway, this personal experience can be broadened to a collective experience as we see governments worldwide encroaching upon individual citizens' rights. We can see the apparent boundaries of muzzle mandates, little stickers on floors telling people to stay away from each other, plastic “shields” between checkouts and children's school desks, etc. I see this division as a deliberate attempt to tear apart the social fabric that connects, unites, and strengthens us. As humans, we are social beings. At this juncture of not only the end of a year but the end of an age, it behooves us to remember and review our past, both personal and collective. It is a learning process, as the balsamic phase will always bring up any and all issues that have not been resolved in the previous cycle so that they may be integrated before the beginning of the next cycle. In this way, we learn from the past and don't need to repeat lessons. I'm certainly reminded of Hitler, his totalitarian takeover that resulted in horror. I have to let go of my pride, fear and control, To bare my soul to you. Yet when I do, I see me through you, As a heart full of love so true. All you need is love, this week's song is a poignant reminder as Venus unites with Pluto of just how fundamental love is to our experience of ourselves and life. As I discuss in the report, instead of this being a "Holly Jolly Christmas," it may have a few undertones of a "Melancholy Christmas." The stripping away down to "the heart of the matter" (maybe another good song for this week) can leave us feeling vulnerable but also soft, sweet, open, and blessed. Maybe go through your old photos, feelings, memories, and relationships with a heart to bless all that has brought you to where you are now. As a guardian of the truth, I know it and speak it and see, When lies are used to take away, Freedom, choice, and autonomy. It's a jam-packed week with the Moon waxing to full and the Solstice on its way! It feels like an extraordinary time when the veils are thinner than usual, and there is greater interaction between worlds that can be both "light" and "dark." I am a work in progress, And so is the rest of the world. As disappointed as I can get, I will continue to work for the good. As usual, there is always more to talk about! Today's report discussed personal growth and the world political scene. On other levels, Venus also "rules" money, and Pluto "rules" massive wealth. So we will also see massive shifts of wealth (we already are) upward to those in authoritative positions and institutes/corporations financial, pharmaceutical, and otherwise over these next few months. You have to look where this falls in your chart to see where you might make some money! On another level, Venus "rules" love and relationship. This is a profoundly transformative time in our personal relationship realm as Pluto also "rules" transformation, endings (including death), and rebirth (as in beginning new, deeply transformative relationships with intense people!). Spirit and matter are woven together, Just like life and death, One I can touch, taste, smell and see, The other is Love, health, and breath. The path to a heightened loving consciousness, Is a road filled with bumps and holes. But the difficult conversations serve, To open my heart, heal my wounds, And let go of longstanding hurts. I'm living in the paradox, Both powerful and powerless, The more careful I am with what I take in, The easier life will be to digest. Mars joining the Sun in Scorpio underlines the reality that things are not as they appear. Scorpio knows better than to trust and give yourself away blindly. I have now had enough, Of being told what is right and wrong. I am a powerful sovereign being, And will follow the beat of my drum. It was really around December of 2020 and January of this year that Jupiter and Saturn conjoined, and choices, decisions, opportunities, and restrictions were started, agreed to, or initiated. Now, through Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius, we are beginning to see some of the feedback, reverberation, and consequences of the actions taken throughout the year. This is on both a personal and collective level. "What Goes Around, Comes Around," and we will all be getting the results of our efforts returned now, for better or ill. On the collective level, we have been further repressed, subjugated, disempowered, and disregarded by the governments who are owned by special interests. I have been re-grounded, Now it's time to start again, Turn on the lights, roll the camera, And let the games begin. To love and to be loved, Is the profoundest gift of all. When I open and give my heart to another, I am blessed as well. Indeed, the fruit tree grows and ripens its fruit and then gives it all away. We can be likened to a fruit tree as our lives are all about building ourselves and hopefully giving our gifts away! We've been building for a while now, and after the harvest of Virgo comes the sharing of Libra. This can be exciting if we are confident in and value our gifts, or a bit scary if we live in poverty consciousness and fear running low or out. My power to stand, ask for, and be, What I want has been wounded through time. The sooner I honor and speak my truth, The sooner I'll get what is mine. Darn! I forgot a point I wanted to make in the report! An interesting note to this theme of self-assertion is that if/when EVERYONE is sovereign and asserting their truth, it is a heck of a lot easier! I always remember the scene in Oliver Twist when the orphan youth goes back up to the cook serving gruel and says, "Please, sir, I want some more!" Well, he gets kicked out of the orphanage as the one and only orphan asking for more. Self-assertion can upset external authority figures, but it can also disturb those wounded and afraid to assert their own needs and desires. Then our independent warrior can be severely judged, condemned, and executed by his/her own peers! When consciousness, hearts, and socio-cultural-religious norms expand to include all the diverse expressions of what it is to be human, then we shall be liberated to express our needs and desires more freely. So, in the end, it is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, we need to assert ourselves more freely, and on the other, we need to tolerate, accept, and even encourage our brothers and sisters to do the same! There is an attack now taking place, On the entire human race, If I ignore, avoid or deny it, I will live and die in disgrace. Welcome to Libra the Scales! The mighty Sun is joining the warrior Mars in the sign of justice, law, equality, and diplomatic communication. Creating a grand trine with Saturn and the north node of the Moon, these planetary energies can assist us all in stepping up, stepping out, and speaking against medical and social injustices being pushed upon us. I see more clearly everyday, What freedom truly is. My body is my temple, Not a petri dish. This is a good week for critical thinking! Critical thinking can lead to making critical choices. Relationship is the garden, Where love is planted and grows, It both takes and gives the water of life, And tells the truth I need to know. Whew! It feels like I did one of these yesterday. The time is flying by so fast. This morning I lay in bed far too long trying to think up a mantra because it just wasn't coming. Finally, I got up to do my yoga, and rather than put on my regular chants, I thought I would try something different. I went to Spotify and put on the "428HZ Frequency Healing Meditation Music." WOW, dropped down into the heart space, let go of the mind (got the image of the mind as the train running over the egg), and truly "felt." Such a Mercury opposite Chiron (today) experience! To stay in that heart space and feel, I knew I had to keep the computer and phone off, slow down (even walking down the stairs slower), and not start thinking ahead to all that needed to get done today. I watched myself and focused on surrender, letting go, and listening to the sounds of nature all around me. I know the world is in crisis, and I don't wish to avoid or deny it. Yet my own growth and evolution involves developing the discipline necessary to balance the "inner" with the "outer," living, and paying equal attention to both the "periphery" and the "center." Life is breathing in and out, Sitting in silence then giving a shout. If I only do one and neglect the other, I lose my balance and am torn asunder. After hitting the stop button and walking back to my micro-hut, I had more thoughts concerning the healing of the masculine. What I can say is that just about all of us have a wounded masculine after experiencing many lifetimes with wounded leaders, parents, and siblings. It's up to me, as old as I am, To care for the child within. I laugh and cry, fall down and fly, Embracing it all thick or thin. It's an emotional time! And that feels like a roller coaster of extreme emotions right now as not only the new Moon in Cancer brings them up but Venus in square to Uranus (the planet of sudden radical change). From the adult witness/observer, we "let the children play," knowing that whatever mood or feeling is dominant now will be replaced with another by and however. When I am blocked, stopped, Under pressure or delayed, I review all my plans, So I don't go astray. Welcome to Mars, Saturn, Uranus territory, the land of the sharp, steel sword. This is like one of those college entrance exams where you file in, no talking, take your seat, are given only a pencil, the timer is set, and the stone-faced man at the front keeps a close eye out for cheaters. Are you ready? Did you study? Are you nervous or afraid? Are you REALLY up to it? What's it all about? For? Why bother? Where will it get me? Do I really WANT to "advance?" Is it worth all the pressure? These may be some of the questions coming up these days, along with "How did it come to this anyway, or how did I get here?" My unconscious is the potter, Shaping and molding me, Adding to and taking away, Until I'm all I can be. Pluto, the unconscious Soul, Neptune the collective unconscious, and Uranus the personal unconscious constitute a major reason why I am a tropical astrologer versus vedic. These three factors in the horoscope take the fate versus free will conversation to a whole new level! Sometimes Life requires that I, Let go of something dear. I can cry, cling, and resist, Or have faith take the place of my fear. I remember a few different comedy acts where the clown or comedian frantically tries to keep together something (or someone) that is falling apart. They slap a piece back in place as more fall off the other side, and they run around to the other side, and as they're putting that side back together, the other side falls apart. You get the idea that it could go on endlessly, but that no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't keep it together. That's what we may be feeling like after that eclipse in Gemini! Our ego-mind wants to "keep it together," maintain, remain, make strong. However, just like a sandcastle built on the beach, it only takes one wave to wash it away when the tide comes in. My shadow is like a cave full of bats, Silently waiting in the dark. A part of me that will break free, And shock me awake with a start. Can we welcome the solar eclipse when the Moon breaks the auric field of protection around the earth, enabling souls and spirit beings from distant space into our space/time continuum? It's like a Uranus transit (which is exactly square Saturn, too) or Halloween! The ghosts and goblins come out, the skeletons in the closet of our subconscious rattle their bones. We see some shadows that maybe we don't want to see, and they scare us. This eclipse happening in Gemini makes me want to rewrite the description of that archetype for the new paradigm. Just as Virgo has undergone an "update," from prudish librarian to empowered woman, so too Gemini needs an upgrade from the puer/puella eternus (eternal youth), that is "just" Mercurial and a jovial trickster, to a key player(s) on the path of soul evolution. I am sick and tired, Of doing what I'm told to do. I've got to be free if I'm to be me, And get into something new. OK! I won't say get ready for some fireworks even though that's possible this Saturday with la Luna transiting through fiery Aries. It will be more of a time of covert, challenging to express/speak emotional intensity going on this weekend. The importance of a spiritual life, Cannot be stressed enough, If I want to live and die in peace, It will come by sharing my love. Happy Lunar Eclipse! My reality is a living experience, Of what I think and believe. I must reject all that's not true, If I'm ever to really be free. Indeed, we are all trying to live our dreams, but sometimes they turn into nightmares. That's when we know there is more to our reality than our conscious intentions. The south node in Sag (Ketu in Vedic astrology, which has a negative/evil interpretation) brings up from the past all the collective beliefs for us to review, own, or reject as who we are. We are bombarded daily with different views, many with emotional energy tied to them (MOON'S node!). Careful not to succumb! In these times of important choices, we may find that our beliefs are very different from even our loved ones. Thoughts and beliefs combine with soul impulses and desires, resulting in plans and decisions. When these are in conflict, chaos results, and our external reality reflects that chaos. The more I truly love myself, Exactly as I am, The more I heal my deepest wounds, And become a medicine man. Or "medicine person," to be clear, it just doesn't rhyme as well. Anyway, the point is that the more we accept where we are, the more inner strength and courage we have to become. And the more we take the hero/heroine's journey inward to "virgin fields of consciousness," the more wisdom and medicine we have to contribute to the community. This journey into self may involve breaking away, letting others down, not living up to expectations, being criticized, judged, and maybe even condemned. Self-love and the dream of a brighter future full of love are the fuel to assist us, as Charioteers, to set off on that journey. In times of uncertain chaos, When the future remains unclear, I center myself in the core of the earth, As Gaia knows no fear. ☉ Here we go again! The energy will be building through this weekend, just like the Moon will be growing fuller and fuller until full! The emotions will be growing stronger as long-repressed feelings rise like the lava in the Iceland volcano. The energy of rising to rebel against imposed limitations (whether real or imagined) is intense and needs to be dealt with. It's up to each of us to determine just how we manage these emotions, project them, be driven wild by them, or delve down to the roots and liberate/heal/embrace them. One way leads to blame, resentment, and acts of revenge, while the other leads to peaceful evolution. The choice is ours. Whichever way we go, this new 584-day Venus cycle, beginning as it is on the full Moon with the Sun/Venus conjunct Chiron, starts with chaos. As the old structures that are no longer able to contain the new energy fail, breakup, and breakdown with last ditch efforts to remain relevant. I will make a special effort, To go deep down within. Knowing that love and contentment, Are feelings found therein. While we may personally experience loneliness or witness others sinking and shriveling up in isolation, there are sure to be additional, long term effects, especially on the young. Closing bars, restaurants, beaches, and parks, and limiting social activities, I'm sure, is adding to a growing atmosphere of alienation, anger, and disrespect. These feelings impact souls on an evolutionary path, which can be as profound as the physical and financial turmoil we are now facing with Mars (conjunct BML Sunday) and Uranus in Taurus. These times are genuinely testing us to research, study, and learn precisely what is safe and what is not according to our own knowledge and beliefs. With so much of life out of control, I need to go beyond. Pierce the veil between the worlds, And reconcile with the Divine. As mentioned previously, despite 2020 ending, the astrology of our times shows us that we are in a long term initiation process that is far from over. The beginning of any initiation involves removing what has been previously relied upon for sustenance, which induces the need and longing for something new/more. I would say that we are still in a state of "reduction," or loss. It will take us time to collectively move through the stages of grief, which are natural to a human being when they experience loss: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, and Depression finally leading to Acceptance (Elizabeth Kubler-Ross). The challenge now is to continue moving through these stages without getting stuck in any of them too long. Depending on the loss, it can take six to eighteen months (or more) to finally come into acceptance so let's have patience with ourselves and each other. Secondly, not mentioned in the report is that after Uranus goes direct next week, we have all the planets in direct motion (except a short 3-week Mercury Retro coming early February) until the END OF APRIL! Hold onto your hats! The pace of change, innovation, and overwhelm for some is going to pick up fast. These months will be useful for envisioning, planning, and beginning new projects based on a "new normal" that will have better chances of succeeding due to their grounded, lowered expectations. It's time to get real and make a plan, To go forward from here and now. I will stay grounded, present and clear, Not get lost with my head in the clouds. Haha! Went on another rave! But I perhaps didn't conclude it as well as I would like. In general, I believe that there really aren't total angels or demons in the flesh, very few ALL bad guys and ALL good guys. I think we're all a mix, or we wouldn't be here. I further believe that the Age of Aquarius (and Jupiter and Saturn now in Aquarius) is about hammering out negotiations with all parties concerned to come up with creative solutions to our shared problems. This isn't gonna happen when people take extreme polarized positions and want to destroy rather than cooperate with those on "the other side of the aisle." I think the way I did finish it was to bring it back home to take personal responsibility for our happiness or depression. As this podcast goes to air, we will be moving through the waxing cycle of the moon and into her fullness next week on Wednesday, occurring on the first day of Aries Season and the Spring Equinox, a time of new beginnings and fresh starts.  It is a cosmic time that is clearing the way in your energetic body for the season of Aries, which revolves around the self and your soul's purpose.  It will offer you a time to work on the relationships you have with all the many different aspects of yourself.  The inner work you do now will set the foundation for this month as well as next month, as we will find the Full Moon in Libra again, which will be the time to work on our partnerships with the energies outside of ourselves. Soon we will be leaving the cosmic vibrations of Pisces, so really being sure you have tapped into the Pisces energy is imperative. Remember, this vibration teaches you all about your superpower of intuition.  You've heard me say this…if you aren't training yours, and especially not trusting yours, now is the time to do this…and the cosmic forces will support you in this. Knowing who you are and how to express your intuitive nature is a big emphasis right now. Are you aware of your intuitive abilities? Are you practicing the skills to sharpen this “super power” or are you just taking in lots of information, guessing about everything and leaving yourself wide open?
