Lee Kyung-ah started Earth Fountain in Jeju in 2019. Earth Fountain is a campaign where ordinary people—children, housewives, and office workers—come together to find and practice simple ways to care for the environment. Today, more than 90 cafés and restaurants across Jeju participate as refill stations where anyone with a tumbler can get free drinking water. The campaign has grown to include a refill map, walking tours, plogging, street performances, and campaign songs. Lee says, “It's not just about water—it's about how we live.” Earth Fountain is a network of people who want to take care of the Earth in ways that are easy, joyful, and shared. Living close to nature with her two cats, Lee continues to explore what it means to care for the planet with kindness and creativity.

In 2025, she held her first-ever exhibition in Jeju. She plans to create more opportunities to connect and engage with a wider audience in the future.

Episode 14 Mi-rae tells Sua that yes she and Kyung-seok are dating. Kyung-seok and Mi-rae go on a date but Ye-na and Tae-hee comes to the same restaurant. Kyung-hee sees there is an article about her unmasking her online persona. Tae-yong works up the nerve to tell Sua he has feelings for her and she shuts him down. Hyun-jung and Woo-young get coffee and talk about the courage it takes to confess one's feelings. Eun asks Sua to lunch and tells her she is there for her if she needs anything. This series promotes the understanding of central themes of our human existence - morality, ethics, personal responsibility, compassion and civility - through a series of lectures by distinguished speakers and conversation with extraordinary individuals who exemplify the universal values in line with the mission of Y. T. Hwang Family Foundation and The Korea Society. The Korea Society and Y. T. Hwang Family Foundation is proud to present Min Jin Lee in a conversation with Kyung B. Yoon. Min Jin Lee is the author of Free Food for Millionaires and Pachinko, a finalist for the National Book Award. Lee is the recipient of the 2022 Manhae Grand Prize for Literature, the Bucheon Diaspora Literary Award, and the Samsung Happiness for Tomorrow Award for Creativity. She has received fellowships in Fiction from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Radcliffe Institute of Advanced Study at Harvard, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Lee has been inducted into the Hall of Fame for the New York Foundation for the Arts, New York State Writers, and the Bronx High School of Science. She has been honored by the Columbia University Weatherhead East Asian Institute, the Asian American Journalists Association, the Korean American Community Foundation, the Council of Korean Americans, the Queens Public Library, and the Korean Community Center. Her essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books, The Chosun Ilbo, Vogue, and Food & Wine. She has introduced the Penguin Classics edition of The Great Gatsby. In 2023, Lee served as the Editor of the The Best American Shorts Stories. She is at work on her third novel, American Hagwon and a nonfiction work, Name Recognition. She is a Writer-in-Residence at Amherst College and serves as a trustee of PEN America and a director of the Authors Guild. Lee lives in Harlem with her family. Kyung B. Yoon is the President and CEO (as well as co-founder) of the Korean American Community Foundation (KACF), the first and largest philanthropic organization in the U.S. dedicated to strengthening Korean American communities. Her career in poverty alleviation, development economics, and media encompasses her roles as the Executive Producer of Television at the World Bank Institute and a correspondent for WNYW-Fox Channel 5 where she made history as the first Korean American broadcast reporter in NYC. Kyung is currently a contributing reporter to CUNY-TV's Asian American Life, which is broadcast nationally on PBS stations and for which she received an Emmy nomination. She has previously served as the board chair of Philanthropy New York and Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy, as a trustee of the New York Foundation, and as a board member of the United Way of New York City. This week, we are reviewing the reviews of “Delusion in Death,” and there were so many bad reviews of this one, especially three 1-Star reviews all from men. The first one is especially bad when this man says: “One of THE MOST PAINFUL BOOKS in all of eternity…The story – depressing. The character – disgusting. The author – revolting.” The next 1-Star review says: “Everyone that exists in this book are smug pricks,” and the one after that says: “cannot survive outside the readership of a police community, far less outside the United States of America.” (Who’s going to tell him that this book was a best seller not only in the U.S., but all around the world.) There was also one reviewer who didn’t like this book because they thought the plot was too close to the James Bond movie: “A View to a Kill.” Spoiler Alert: It’s not. At ALL. Other comments include: “just tired of hearing about them ad nauseum. If I were Roarke, I think I’d check out.” “I couldn’t get past the second chapter.” “The futuristic setting is nothing but a gimmick: ‘Links and Blinks and Rinky-Dinks…” “What I am finding distasteful is that she is more and more adding God’s name in vain and the F bomb.” “It started going downhill when you switched to hardcover” “Adult comic book – – bad” By contrast, there were some very thoughtful good reviews on this book too. “I suddenly started shipping Nadine & Kyung. I don’t know why, I just did.” “Spending time with Eve and Roarke always puts my in my happy place!” “Even if you don’t want to be seen with a romance, I swear pick it up on Kindle or Audible and try one! You’ll be hooked!” “I would recommend the series and plan to keep reading it for now. It is still entertaining which is what really counts.” “A Must Read!” “I am lovin’ it !!!” “Damn good story!”

Poor at the time it split from its neighbour to the north, it now has the fastest internet on the planet and is a world-leading exporter of electronics, cars and culture. Much of what is best in the world can be found in Korea but it faces many of its hardest challenges too. Sky-high property prices, the world's fastest-ageing population, a highly pressurised and competitive society, and as they face the difficult prospect of working and raising a family, 65 percent of Korean women are choosing not to have children. Along with all this, is the worry about the country that shares the Korean Peninsula, Kim Jong Un's nuclear-armed North Korea. Jonny Dymond presents a panel of Korean politicians and experts as they debate questions from the public across the country.
