The soundtrack includes original songs by several musicians and a score by Marcelo Zarvos.KPop Demon Hunters began streaming on Netflix on June 20, 2025, and by year's end became the most-watched original title in Netflix history with over 500 million views. A sing-along version had limited theatrical releases on August 23–24 and October 31–November 2. Its theatrical release was the widest by number of theaters for a Netflix film, and the first to top the box office in the United States. In this 3rd recording of Off the Record in 2026, Rastislav, Stewart and Ken bring some new films into the picture.In our feature Rastislav compares two films about evil. I Saw the Devil from 2010, and Blue Velvet from 1986 represent stark opposites in how evil can be portrayed. I Saw the Devil being a Korean film directed by Kim Jee-woon and Blue Velvet by David Lynch. Both are well liked and are highly praised. One is more of a dark and psychological evil, while the other is a chaotic type. Stars include Kyle MacLachlan and Isabella Rossellini. The Korean film has Lee Byung-hun and Choi Min-sik as their main characters. Rasto gives us his impression of both films.Stewart's Greater pick Dangerous animals from 2025 directed by Sean Byrne — starring Hassie Harrison and Jai Courtney. The Dangerous animal in question are blood thirsty sharks off the gold coast, but the antagonist has a dark secret to be revealed to his would be captors. The film takes us slightly into the psyche of a serial killer, but remains true to the genre of a survivalist film.Ken gives us a run-down of his man vs machine pick, Unstoppable from 2010. Directed by Tony Scott and featuring Denzel Washington with Chris Pine. The film is about a run-away train carrying dangerous chemicals and the efforts made to get the train under control. Based on real life events while still filled with action and suspense. This was Tony Scott's last film unfortunately before he passed on. Ken gave it a fair assessment. The Lesser pick by Stewart had an interesting premise, but fell way short in the delivery department. American Sweatshop from 2025 directed by Uta Briesewitz and starring Lili Reinhart attempts to give us an inside look into the lives of social media content moderators. The film is set in modern day Florida and the main character becomes obsessed with one of the recordings she saw while moderating. She hopes to get justice for the possible victim in the video.And finally Ken recounted his experience with the 2016 sci-fi pick Colossal directed by Nacho Vigalondo and Anne Hathaway as the lead actor. Unfortunately there was a bit of a bait and switch as the film had a darker edge than Ken expected, rather than the whimsical sci-fi comedy he was expecting. And one final note from Stewart is the disappointing 2026 series finale of Good Omens that left a bad taste for Stewart and seemingly the fans. This is a public episode. The film follows an honest labourer named Man-soo who struggles to find employment after being laid off from the paper mill where he's worked for the last 25 years. As his family makes sacrifices, Man-soo grows frustrated by the crowded job market and his methods for securing employment grow darker alongside his desperation. During the Toronto International Film Festival, Byung-hun sat down with Tom Power to reflect on his role in No Other Choice as well as his superstar career.

"No Other Choice" is a 2025 South Korean satirical black comedy thriller film co-written, produced, and directed by Park Chan-wook and based on "The Ax" by Donald Westlake. Today's episode, voted by our patrons is I Saw the Devil, the Korean revenge thriller/horror film. Synopsis I saw the Devil is a 2010 Korean thriller about Soo-hyeon (Lee Byung-hun), a grieving husband seeking revenge against his wife's killer (Choi Min-sik). Unlike most revenge films, this one is not about him finding the killer to bring them to justice, it's about tormenting and psychologically breaking a monstrous serial killer. It helps that the husband is basically Korean James Bond and has accrued plenty of PTO. Review of I Saw the Devil This is legit one of the best thrillers I have ever seen. It's well written, and it doesn't waste a minute of it's 2:24 runtime. It makes me miss the serial killer thrillers of the late nineties and 2000s. As with any thriller, people may argue whether or not it is a horror movie. I ignore these people, because they have too much time on their hands. and this is on letterboxes top 250 horror movies, so that's something. I will say if you are looking for disturbing and gory imagery, this film has it. I Saw the devil doesn't shy away from giving us the killer Jang Kyung-chul's perspective, which can be disturbingly voyeuristic and horrifying in its simplicity. The brutal confrontation scenes with the protagonist being a proto John Wick balances out the film with a sense of catharsis and perverse satisfaction of the killer getting his comeuppance. However, they come at a price. The film asks the viewer “can a man use evil against evil and come out unscathed?” . This is one of those movies that's so perfect in its concept and construction that it makes me wonder how it hasn't been done before. It's deceptively simple, but is actually an impressive balancing act of being disturbing, thrilling, funny, and ultimately satisfying. Score 10/10
