Send us a textLast week, we joined the Donner Party on the first half of their journey from Missouri to California. When we last left them, they were camped out by Truckee Lake in the Sierra Nevadas, and snow began falling on their camp. The group could not know then what that snowfall meant, and the sad fate that would await them in the coming months. In the final installment of our Donner Party series, we will learn about the brutal winter of 1846, as the group fought for survival amid 20 feet of snow and unimaginably harsh conditions. We'll learn just what humans are capable of when faced with the worst adversity one can think of- both the good and the bad parts of humanity on display. And we'll learn about the strength this group mustered in the face of unthinkable suffering. This one is certainly not all sunshine and roses, but we'll do our best to find a laugh or two when we can, and a few lessons along the way! Lisey ends this episode on a bright note, sharing exciting news of some new furry additions to her family (and maybe a little insurance policy for those long, cold Alaska winters?) Happy Haunting! Send us a textHappy New Year, coven! We're starting 2025 off with a bang (Lisey wishes) as we continue our ongoing cryptid series and cover Louisiana's Honey Island Swamp Monster. This one is a real treat, as we dig up firsthand accounts of sightings of this elusive creature. First spotted in the 50s and 60s, he rose to local fame in the early 70s. But has he really been seen for centuries, just called by many different names? Or is he an invention of an avid hunter who wants free reign over good hunting territory? You know we'll share our strong opinions! Join us as we toast to the new year, and partake in some witchy rituals that will surely bring us all happiness and prosperity in the coming year. Send us a textScary movie night has been an integral part of Lisey and Halee's relationship since its conception. What better way to celebrate spooky season than to bring you in on our most favorite tradition? Tonight we'll uncover the haunting stories that inspired some of our favorite horror flicks. We'll dig into the real life haunting that inspired Steven Spielberg's classic, Poltergeist. We'll knock on the door of room 217 at the Stanley Hotel, where Stephen King dreamed up his outline for The Shining. Of course, scary movie night would not be complete without diving into one of the highest grossing horror films of all time, The Exorcist. Each film created its own cultural phenomenon and will forever live on in cinema history. We'll share spooky facts about production that will have your heads spinning and reminisce about our favorite (and least favorite) scenes. Grab your popcorn and a box of candy because this one's a scream. Happy Haunting! Get in touch! Coven, this week is a big one for halee and Lisey. It's rare that we're wrong... and it's even more rare that we would admit that we're wrong. But this week we may just be ready to admit that we were wrong about orbs! After hearing a spooky and intriguing tale, halee took a deep dive into orbs and found that the blurry 'orb' photos we see online are truly misrepresenting this fascinating phenomenon. In today's episode we'll take a trip all around the world to hear about spooklights, will-o'-the-wisps, and all kinds of mysterious lights with possibly otherworldly origins. Are they the spirits of deceased loved ones, trying to communicate? Are they portals to another dimension? Are they the bellies of owls who have consumed too much bioluminescent fungi? Tune in and you be the judge!Happy Haunting!

There's some turbulence in the skies this week, Coven. An unexpected emergency has turned the world upside down and taken the podcast with it. Your two favorite witches are down to one and she's trying to her damndest to make the news interesting all on her own. We'll talk about another bear attack, bring you up to speed on that pedophile from American Airlines and uncover the not-so-shocking truth about the CIA's involvement with UFOs. It's not the same without Halee, but distance makes the heart grow fonder. She'll be back on her broomstick in no time, dazzling us with her devilish charm and wit. Until then, Lisey's gonna try to do the business. Happy Haunting!

2006's Lisey's Story is King's self-proclaimed favorite novel, but it is one that has proven to be divisive among his constant readers and flies well under the radar of his casual fans. The story follows Lisey, the wife of a famous author, who is trying to cope with the loss of her husband after his untimely death, be there for her sister whose sanity is seemingly slipping away, and all the while having to defend herself against a particularly psychotic fan of her husband's.

From one King fave , to the fave of a King, Jamie talks about why "Duma Key" is his standout novel. And via some short stories and discovered Bachman beauties , we end up with Big Ol Jim Rennie in Springfield, sorry, Chester's Mill in "Under The Dome". Stephen King's dead body of work stands the test of time, but the man and the mind behind the books is even more interesting. And find out about the Master of Horror's own personal paranormal experience. - Obejrzałem film, opowiadający historię grupy wychowanków szkoły katolickiej, którzy porwali dwie dziewczyny i je torturowali. Jedna z nich nie przeżyła, a druga przypadkiem uszła z życiem. To masakryczna, ale prawdziwa historia. Ten film nazywa się "The Catholic School". Julianne Moore, Clive Owen i Jennifer Jason Leigh - to naprawdę dobra obsada. Seriale i filmy, o których rozmawiamy: (2:00) - "Grantchester" (2:40) - "Zabójcza broń" (HBO MAX) (7:15) - "Ród smoka" (HBO MAX) (13:30) - "Władca Pierścieni: Pierścienie Władzy" (Amazon Prime Video) (16:20) - "The Catholic School" (NETFLIX) + (18:05) - "Minuta Ciszy" (Canal +) (18:50) - "Lisey's Story" (Apple TV+) + (21:35) - "Industry" (HBO MAX) (25:10) - "Project Power" (NETFLIX) + (26:25) - "Trust" (Disney +) (29:40) - "Welcome to Wrexham" (Disney +) (33:10) - "X" (vod.pl) (36:55) - "The West Wing" (39:00) - "Ekipa" (40:35) - "Blondynka" (NETFLIX) (42:20) - "Zaginięcie w Lørenskog" (NETFLIX) (43:30) - "The Velvet Underground" (Apple TV +) (45:35) - "The Last Movie Stars" (HBO MAX) (48:35) - "The Meaning of Hitler" (vod.pl)
