EV maker Longbow is taking two sleek new models to market – and analysts say the competition might be taking note. That's because Longbow's latest entries have more going for them than your average electric car. This UK-based startup is supported by a strong pedigree, including ex-employees from EV leaders like BYD, Tesla and Lucid.
Steve Caplin delves into the world of tech. Virgin expects to have an eVTOL air taxi service in the UK relatively soon. In San Francisco, driverless cars got 600 parking tickets last year. The Chinese company BYD has developed batteries that can add 250 miles range in 5 minutes. This week, we put the new HS round to the test—a shaped projectile aiming to be a cheaper alternative to First Strike Rounds. While the price is tempting, does the drop in accuracy make it a dealbreaker? We break it down.Next, we take a look at Umarex's latest magfed marker, the T4 TC. This .68 caliber AR-style marker could be a strong entry-level competitor to the Tippmann TMC. Could this be the next big thing in magfed paintball? We also introduce a brand-new segment: "Brad, Tell Me a Story." This week, Brad takes us through the history of the Automag, but naturally, things spiral into a deep dive on Tac-One, Spec Ops Paintball, the Longbow marker, TechPb, and Borgtech. Traditional Archery is seeing a resurgence in recent years, and Robert Carter of Georgia has found his place among some of the best instructors of the sport. His YouTube channel on traditional archery is one of the finest available. His no nonsense style, and easy to follow instruction has found a great audience, including myself. Hunting with a longbow or recurve requires a lot of patience, strategy and execution. Carter explains how proper shooting techniques along with confidence will put deer and hogs in your freezer. Robert also shares how God "saved me in a cow pasture" from a life of drugs, alcohol and more. his testimony and story will resonate with a lot of listeners and benefit all of us with his humility.
Jesse Johnson is one of the greatest woodsmen we know! Local to north Texas, Jesse has blazed trails into public land hunting for whitetail and hogs with two favored weapons of choice; a traditional bow and an old-school Flintlock Muzzleloader. Jesse returns as a guest on the podcast to share with us once again his passion for public land and traditional bow hunting. We talk trad archery, bow and arrow builds, and the grind of hunting public with a stick and string. Jesse also shares with us two of his most recent memorable non-resident hunts for Colorado elk with a muzzleloader and Canadian black bear with a trad bow. Jesse's passion for the outdoors is contagious, and over the years has peaked many of our own interests in picking up an old-school stick and string and getting after it! One thing's for sure, Jesse has developed a set of skills that set him apart, no matter if he's rocking the long bow or the ol' smoke pole!
