This three-episode storyline introduces Duchess Satine, reveals Obi-Wan's romantic past, and showcases a chilling moment that foreshadows Anakin's fall to the dark side.Key Questions ExploredIs pacifism realistic in wartime? The hosts debate whether Duchess Satine's complete rejection of Mandalore's warrior culture was the right approach, or if her pacifism actually enabled the very violence she sought to prevent. How did Obi-Wan's forbidden love shape his mentorship of Anakin? The episode reveals that Obi-Wan once considered leaving the Jedi Order for Satine, raising questions about whether his own romantic struggles made him too lenient with Anakin's secret marriage to Padmé.What makes Anakin's cold-blooded killing so significant? When Anakin executes Senator Tal Merrick without hesitation, the hosts analyze how this moment perfectly captures his path toward becoming Darth Vader—choosing expedient violence over Jedi restraint.Should the Republic have respected Mandalore's neutrality? The discussion examines Palpatine's manipulation tactics and whether the Senate's willingness to ignore Mandalore's sovereignty mirrors real-world political interventions.Episodes covered: "The Mandalore Plot," "Voyage of Temptation," and "Duchess of Mandalore" **************************************************************************This episode is a production of Star Wars Generations, a The Ethical Panda Podcast and part of the TruStory FM Entertainment Podcast Network. This sermon addresses the tragedy of a lost love within a church, drawing from the letter to the church of Ephesus. It highlights that while the church may excel in service, orthodoxy, and character, a lack of heartfelt love for God can still draw divine censure. The message emphasizes that maintaining this love requires consistent feeding through scripture, active expression through obedience, and vigilant protection from worldly influences. Ultimately, the sermon calls for remembrance of initial fervor, repentance, and renewed commitment to a vibrant relationship with God, promising spiritual nourishment and eternal reward for those who overcome spiritual apathy.

In this sermon, Corporate Worship Pastor Jonathan Galvan of Redeemer Church in Midland, Texas, examines Christ's messages to the seven churches in the Book of Revelation, focusing on the Church of Ephesus. While commending the church for their good works, patient endurance, and commitment to sound doctrine, Jesus criticizes them for losing their first love. Galvan emphasizes the importance of love for God and others, urging the church to remember, repent, and return to their initial fervor. Though Dorothy was somewhat opinionated, she truly had a big heart. During my conversation with Marc, he shares story after story that had us laughing but Dorothy was the kind of woman who liked things done her way and it was best for everyone that you kept that in mind. She loved keeping a clean house. It was duly important that her sons did well in school but what was clearly obvious was how much she loved her family. Dinners together every night was a must. Everyone had to share what happened during their day and what they had learned.Marc has a number of very funny stories of his mother but what really rings true to me is that Dorothy had a huge heart. There's one story in particular that you'll hear my guest share that's heartbreaking yet so indicative of what kind of person Dorothy was and how she was constantly teaching her two sons life lessons."Seven Days of Shiva:Forty-Six Years of Puppy Love," has put Marc on the Amazon Best Selling Author list. It's the heartwarming and heartbreaking story of he and the love of his life, Barbara. Our conversation will have you laughing and in tears, but it's powerful messages are worth every every second. My mother began to list her “commandments” for being a good husband. Number 1: As a husband, you should learn to keep your mouth shut.Number 2: Your wife should be in charge of running the household.Number 3: It's not your place to plan the dinner meals. Your wife should plan that, and you should be happy with it.Number 4: Your wife should be in charge of the checking account.Number 5: Your wife should be in charge of paying the bills.Number 6: You should not cash your paycheck on the way home. Bring your check home, uncashed.Number 7: You should turn down invitations from your friends at work to go out after work.Number 8: You should go directly home after work to your wife.Number 9: You shouldn't concern yourself with what other people have. Number 10: You should be satisfied with what you and your wife have."When my mother was finished with her list, she said, “So, you understand what I'm saying?”“Yes,” Marc responded. Behold the Lamb - Part 6: Lost Love
In the latest episode of ‘The Book Club’ on 702 Afternoons with Relebogile Mabotja, Mandy Wiener interviews author Shubnum Khan about ‘The Lost Love of Akbar Manzil,’ also known as ‘the Djinn waits 100 years’ The novel explores human emotions and societal issues, intertwining themes of love, loss, identity, and the supernatural within a richly detailed South African setting. It follows the stories of Sana and Meena, two women who will never meet but both call Akbar Manzil home. When Meena fell in love with the owner of the house, it was the grandest residence on South Africa’s east coast near Durban. Eight decades later when Sana and her father move in, it is near-ruins, crumbling, shabby and dark. As Sana explores the deserted east wing of her new home, she discovers the house's tangled, troubling story, dredging up old secrets that will change the lives of everyone – living and dead – at Akbar Manzil. “There is so much love and grief, which goes together in the novel.” - Shubnum Khan author of ‘The Lost Love of Akbar Manzil’. The Book of Revelation is such an amazing book. As apocalyptic literature it draws back to the past, explains the present, and gives us a vision for the future. Most are familiar with the signs and imagery of Revelation, but many miss that everything that is written in Revelation is addressed to 7 specific churches. This series looks at those different churches and what they mean for us today. Come visit us in person!
