Will Doctor gives you the sharpest card for the Valero Texas Open live from San Antonio at TPC San Antonio (Oaks). -Discussing top 8 on odds board -1 matchup -1 t10, 1 t20 -3 outrights (30/1, 55/1, 110/1) -Sleeper, 2 FRP, 2 lineups -Scoring, best bet For the latest as far as the world of golf, follow Doc on X @drmedia59 In the VALSPAR25 Golf Preview Podcast, Will Doctor recaps the Houston Open and offers a detailed betting breakdown for the upcoming Valero Texas Open. He opens by acknowledging a disappointing week in Houston, losing 5.5 units, bringing his season total to -53.8 units. Minwoo Lee claimed his first PGA Tour title, winning by one over Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland. Though Minwoo only hit 22 of 52 fairways, his dominance on and around the greens—15th in approach and around-the-green, and 2nd in putting—secured the win. Alejandro Tosti, known for his distance (4th at 317 yards), finished T-5 after a solid Sunday despite a rough start. Gary Woodland's emotional runner-up, his best since brain surgery, was fueled by elite putting and iron play. Scottie Scheffler posted his best putting week of 2025 and nearly chased down Minwoo with a final round 63, birdieing holes 13 through 16. Will's picks last week largely faltered. Davis Thompson (T-27) had a strong middle stretch but imploded on the greens Sunday with several missed short putts. Mac Meissner (T-39) drove poorly, finishing 67th in strokes gained off the tee, but impressed with iron play. Tony Finau missed a top-20 finish by two shots due to negative iron stats and a disastrous four-putt on Saturday's 15th hole. Minwoo Lee's top-20 bet hit, but Mackenzie Hughes lost top Canadian to Taylor Pendrith, who posted three rounds of 65. Looking ahead to the Valero Texas Open, Will previews a course demanding driving accuracy and elite short game on firm Bermuda greens. He dismisses favorites Ludwig Aberg (12-1), Tommy Fleetwood (14-1), Patrick Cantlay (20-1), Hideki Matsuyama (20-1), Keegan Bradley (25-1), and Jordan Spieth (25-1) due to recent struggles, poor pricing, or course history. Corey Conners, despite being 18-1, gets a top-10 pick (+175) based on his consistent form and two past wins at TPC San Antonio. Akshay Bhatia, the defending champion, earns a top-20 nod at even money given his recent top finishes. Will's outrights include Denny McCarthy (30-1), praised for elite putting and consistent irons; Bud Cauley (55-1), coming off two top-10s with sharp ball striking; and Isaiah Salinda (110-1), a powerful, accurate rookie who dazzled late in Houston. Woodland, fresh off his emotional T-2, is his sleeper pick for a top-10 finish at 4-1. First-round picks are Cauley (+450) and Salinda (+650) to top-10, both teeing off early. His DraftKings lineup features Bhatia, McCarthy, Cauley, Woodland, Salinda, and Meissner, while the PGA Tour Fantasy roster has Bhatia, McCarthy, Cauley, Salinda (captain), Woodland, and Lee Hodges. With potential wind and rain forecasted, Will predicts a winning score of 16-under. His best bet: Salinda to finish top-20 at 3-1. In this episode of Product Voices, we engage in an in-depth discussion about the evolving landscape of product management and the challenges it faces in what we term the "new age of product." Two exceptional guests, Tara Goldman and Mackenzie Hughes, who bring decades of experience in leading product teams and navigating the complexities of the tech industry, help unpack the realities of current product management practices and explore how the community can redefine its approach to create meaningful outcomes. We begin by addressing the notion that "product isn't working anymore." This statement may seem dramatic, but it truly reflects a sentiment echoing across organizations. We examine how the product management field has become overly complicated, veering away from its essence due to unnecessary intricacies introduced over the years. Tara and Mackenzie articulate the evolution of product management through several eras, detailing how we transitioned from a focus on delivery to embracing chaos and agility, and now find ourselves in a precarious yet promising new era.

Below is a breakdown of the key moments: Friday's Recap & Player Analysis: [Will Docter] (0:39 - 13:30) Will discusses the complete turnaround from Thursday's domination by Team USA to Friday's losses in the foursome sessions. Below are detailed match analyses: Match 6: Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im vs. Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele Matsuyama and Im stunned Cantlay and Schauffele with seven consecutive birdies, finishing 7 and 6. The Japanese-Korean duo, ranked low in strokes gained on Day 1, were in top five by the end of Friday. Key Quote: "Seven straight birdies is flat-out impressive stuff in any format" (0:47). Analysis: Matsuyama and Im displayed exceptional form, outperforming Cantlay and Schauffele in every aspect, particularly in putting. Match 7: Adam Scott and Taylor Pendrith vs. Sahith Theegala and Collin Morikawa Pendrith continued his solid performance, paired with Scott who had a fantastic day on the greens. Theegala struggled, having the second-worst day on the course. Analysis: Theegala's weak putting, combined with Morikawa's subpar form, left them outmatched despite Morikawa's solid ball striking. Match 8: Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Jason Day vs. Max Homa and Brian Harman Homa had a strong day with his driving, but Harman's poor showing left the pair vulnerable. Team USA Analysis: Homa and Harman couldn't recover, losing 1-up in a closely contested match. Day and Bezuidenhout capitalized on their putting despite not playing their best. Match 9: Corey Conners and Mackenzie Hughes vs. Wyndham Clark and Tony Finau The Canadians made seven birdies, ending the match on 13, while Clark and Finau could not make their putts. Key Stat: Both Finau and Clark had negative strokes gained with their irons. Analysis: The home crowd support for Conners and Hughes gave them a needed boost as Team USA faltered. Match 10: Si Woo Kim and Byeong Hun An vs. Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley Si Woo Kim excelled with birdies on 12, 13, and 15, and a clutch par putt to close the match. Scheffler admitted that Henley rolled the ball well but couldn't capitalize on his chances. Analysis: Si Woo's ability to thrive in high-pressure situations made the difference, showcasing his incredible match-play abilities. Saturday Picks & Predictions: [Will Docter] (13:30 - 17:00) Match 11: Scottie Scheffler and Collin Morikawa vs. Adam Scott and Taylor Pendrith Favorite: Scheffler and Morikawa (-205). Prediction: Despite Morikawa's shaky putting, Will leans toward Team USA based on Scheffler's solid ball striking and world number one ranking. Match 12: Tony Finau and Xander Schauffele vs. Corey Conners and Mackenzie Hughes Underdog: Conners and Hughes (+141). Prediction: Will favors the Canadians, citing their recent form and Finau's ongoing struggles with the greens. Match 13: Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim vs. Keegan Bradley and Wyndham Clark Favorite: Si Woo and Tom Kim (-117). Prediction: Will is confident in the chemistry between the Kims, emphasizing Si Woo's clutch performance on Friday. Match 14: Patrick Cantlay and Sam Burns vs. Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im Even Money: Will predicts the Internationals will continue their momentum, doubting Cantlay and Burns' ability to perform under pressure. Closing Remarks: [Will Docter] (17:00 - End) Will concludes by discussing his plan for Saturday's afternoon session, hinting at potential picks for Sunday singles based on Saturday's results. It's the first true offseason episode of 2024 and nearly all attention has turned to the upcoming Presidents Cup. Andy and Brendan begin this episode with a Victory Tuesday celebration for Brendan's Boston College Eagles after a Top 10* road win at Florida State on Monday night to open the season. They then discuss the breaking news of the day, captain's picks for the Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal. Mike Weir decided to go heavy on the Canadians, selecting Taylor Pendrith, Corey Conners, and surprisingly Mackenzie Hughes in addition to Min Woo Lee, Si Woo Kim, and Christiaan Bezuidenhout. More qualms were had with Jim Furyk's picks for the American side, leaving Akshay Bhatia, Billy Horschel and Justin Thomas behind for Brian Harman, Max Homa, and vice captain Keegan Bradley, among others. Producer PJ comes on to defend his fellow Gen Z-er Akshay, and Andy shares a possible conspiracy theory regarding one selection for the U.S. After a walk through the history of Expos first basemen, the two then discuss the two events on TV this week, the Champs Tour stop in St. Louis and the Omega European Masters in Switzerland. One-and-done picks for the Champions Tour are made and Brendan shares two new facts about Frugal Fritelli, perhaps the best ones yet. To wrap things up, it's a quick NFL roundup before the season kicks off on Thursday night.
