Billy Horschel and Gabby Herzig joined Gary Williams on the program today. Herzing, a writer for The Athletic, talked about the latest she is hearing on PGA TOUR/LIV talks and what the fans want to see from all of this, what tweaks TGL might need to make for a sustainable future with fans and how Rose Zhang is among the many LPGA stars that don't think the tour is doing enough to promote their stars.Horschel, the recipient of the Charlie Bartlett Award, talked about why it is important for him to give back; what playing in the TGL environment is like; his friendship with Arthur Blank, his understanding of why golf fans are disenchanted, how to make the televised product and a desire for a more critical TV booth in the mold of Johnny Miller.Gary Willams addressed Anna Nordquist being named the European Solheim Cup captain and how the game of golf is getting younger and younger and some of the reasons behind that movement.

In what is the 25th player interview this year for the podcast I was joined this time by new DP World Tour card holder & 2x Sunshine Tour title winner Robin 'Tiger' Williams as he phones in back home in Stellenbosch after playing the first event as a fully pledged DP World Tour player last week in Brisbane at BMW Australian PGA Championship. We find out about his experiences on Sunshine Tour over the last couple of years as well as finding out all about his meet up at 2018 Junior Ryder Cup with the big cat himself Tiger Woods who Robin is named after! Although Robin was born in town outside of Stellenbosch in South Africa's picturesque Western Cape. He and his family would move to the UK at the age of 8 years old spending the first year or so in Aberdeen before moving down south to Peterborough where the family still continue to reside! Until 2023 Robin would play all events at Amateur level and early pro level under the English flag and was a part of the European side at 2018 Junior Ryder Cup in Paris that on both sides boasted the likes of Hojgaard twins, David Puig, Akshay Bhatia, Michael Thorbjornsen, Rose Zhang, Ingrid Lindblad, Alexa Pano and Lucy Li. In 2019 Robin would win on the Professional MENA Tour as an Amateur winning by 8 shots to Jack Floydd. Since winning on Sunshine Tour in October 2023 at Fortress Invitational, Robin has gone from strength to strength making every cut on limited DPWT starts including losing in a Playoff at SDC Championship (DP) to Jordan Gumberg and finishing T4th in a world class field at Alfred Dunhill Links Championship as well as successfully defending his Fortress Invitational crown. A talented player that could go very far, very measured head on such young shoulders. It was great to chat with Robin. In this episode, we discuss Rose Zhang's "effortless power" in a golf swing, and how this principle can serve as a powerful analogy for personal and professional growth. By examining the contrast between "effortless power" and "powerless effort," we discuss how maintaining composure, being adaptable, and working smarter can lead to more fulfilling outcomes. Join us as we tee off on another engaging discussion to kickstart your leadership edge.
An awesome weekend of September golf has Andy and Brendan in great spirits for this Monday episode. To start, Brendan downplays a Browns Victory Monday in the Swag Sports Minute, but Andy is riding high after a great day at the ballpark and delivers the news that Andrew Price won the Crump Cup. After that, the two dive into a loaded weekend of golf, starting with the Irish Open at Royal County Down where Rasmus Hojgaard chased down Rory McIlroy and the Great Manassero for the win. Andy and Brendan share their thoughts on how RCD played for the pros, the TV coverage (or lack thereof) of the tournament, and another disappointing finish for Rory in a tournament that means a lot to him. After that, Meg Adkins calls in from Dulles to help recap the Solheim Cup as the Americans finally secured a win in the competition. Meg shares on-the-ground insights from the week, hitting on the shuttle disasters of Friday morning, standout performances from Nelly Korda and Rose Zhang, Charley Hull's smoking habits continuing to take over social media, and who will takeover as captains for both sides in the next Solheim Cup in September 2026. After wrapping up with the Solheim Cup, LIV Bolingbrook gets featured after Bryson DeChambeau said the course "played close to a major championship test" this week. Jon Rahm took home both the tournament and the season-long title, leading Andy and Brendan to wonder what this means looking back on not only his 2024, but also his career. Producer PJ then joins to share the great news that the leading Champions Tour gambling podcast has stayed hot and even improved on last week's efforts, as Brendan secured a Steve Stricker playoff win for those tailing the picks. To finish things off, Patton Kizzire gets a shoutout for winning the Procore, with Creator Classic alum Wes Bryan taking in a T13 in Napa.

Rory McIlroy, Max Home, Lexi Thompson and Rose Zhang all played in a Skins Match raising money for charity. As we would expect from a "scripted" golf match, Rory takes home the win! Andy is joined by Fried Egg contributor Joseph LaMagna (@JosephLaMagna) for a chat about happenings in professional golf. First, they give some thoughts on the U.S. Women's Open at Pebble Beach: how the course should play for the women's field compared to the usual Pro-Am and U.S. Open fields; how courses could and should be set up to challenge and identify the best women golfers; to what extent they're in on the Rose Zhang hype; and whether Nelly Korda is on the comeback trail. Then Andy and Joseph dig into some PGA Tour topics. They talk about which players have done well and flown under the radar, how the Ryder Cup is shaping up, who could be in line for Player of the Year, and what might happen with the future PGA Tour schedule.

Garrett and Meg kick off this Tuesday show with some thoughts on the Women's PGA Championship: the background and playing style of Ruoning Yin, the 20-year-old champion; the continued excellence of Rose Zhang; and the continued failures of the networks to air women's major championships in a suitable fashion. Garrett then checks in with Ben Coley (@BenColeyGolf) of Sporting Life about the state of the DP World Tour (28:31). Garrett and Ben talk about the (increasingly distant) possibility of a "links season" consisting of the Irish, Scottish, and British Opens as well as the tour's uncertain positioning in—or perhaps outside of—the burgeoning alliance between the PGA Tour and the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund. To go out on a more lighthearted note, Garrett and Ben wrap up with some recommendations (1:00:36).
This Monday episode begins with some internal confusion about upcoming Fried Egg events and Pro Shop merch. Then Brendan and Andy get on with reactions to the Women's PGA at Baltusrol, which fizzled somewhat on the par-5s closing stretch, save for one clinching birdie from Ruoning Yin. They discuss Rose Zhang's push as well before a radical idea is proposed and debated for the PGA. After an audio mishap during the ad read, and an incorrect URL, they get on to the Travelers Championship won by the home-region kid, Keegan Bradley. They discuss Bradley's career and what this win, if anything, does for his Ryder Cup chances. There is also further intel on Zac Blair's prep before his big T2 finish, and some reaction to Rory McIlroy's quotes popping the setup and birdie-fest of TPC River Highlands in contrast to LACC. Paddy's win on the Champs Tour has them proposing a wild card Ryder Cup pick. There's a short segment on some of the big amateur winners before news closes it out with aerials coming out of Panther National.
