Andy and Brendan are back for one their least favorite but also most enjoyable exercises of the year: it's the SIXTH annual Year in Review! And they are maybe, kinda out ahead of it this time, although that could all change quickly if their pace of play slows to crawl. This first installment begins as always at the start of the year in Kapalua, where Dayman(!) unveiled his first-ever Malbon outfit, Jon Rahm was on vacation, and Chris Kirk became the first player to get 700 FedEx Cup points for a win . The PGA Tour is back for the 2024 season and Chris Kirk took home the title at the first event of the year. His clutch approach on 17 helped seal the victory at the elevated event at Kapalua. Kirk was able to fight off Jordan Spieth and Scottie Scheffler, who battled the putter again on the weekend. The big story of the week may have been what is going on in the golf apparel world. Nike and Tiger part ways after more than 20 years. What with Tiger Woods do next? Jason Day also left Nike for Malbon and his outfits were the talk of the event. Xander Schauffelle also switched apparel brands, dropping Adidas for Descente. Stephen Malbon is a designer, golfer and founder of Malbon Golf, an apparel brand which aims to make golf appeal to a broader audience. When he first started his brand, Malbon sought to make more young people interested in playing golf. He combined a love of streetwear, skateboarding and golf to design a line of clothing which was not only cool to wear but also functional on the golf course, or really any athletic setting. Malbon Golf apparel is both stylish and comfortable. He has collaborated with numerous larger brands including Puma, Nike, Dockers, and Girl Skateboards. In this episode, the Boys dive right into Malbon Golf and how Stephen was able to build the brand from and Instagram "mood board" into what it is today. He talks about how his background in design paved the way for him to create his clothing line.
