The restrictions will begin next week. The President also told reporters he’d been tested for COVID-19, his temperature is normal and the test results are expected in a day or so. He also detailed some of the initiatives Congress has passed to support Americans affected by the pandemic. > Yesterday, we told you about a Cambridge, Massachusetts firm that claims to have developed a vaccine. The Degens make their Side and Total bets in the Super Bowl.  Then we shift gears to the NBA and Max gives us his NHL picks.  Excerpts from Max's Notes:  NFL 49ers at Chiefs If you were to bet on the Chiefs every game this season you would have went 12-5-1 ATS. That makes them the most profitable team to bet on this year. After them? San Francisco at 11-6-1. So yeah, both teams are good. We know that. The Chiefs offense slowed down a bit this season but it was on purpose. We’ve seen they can flip to 2018 switch on when needed but because their defense has stepped up under Spags, they really haven’t had to. Even their much insulted run defense stepped up two weeks ago against the league’s leading rusher. We know that San Francisco was the most well rounded team in the league this season. They can and play defense and Jimmy G looked much better once they traded for Sanders. But they don’t have Patrick Mahomes. NBA Raptors at Pistons Toronto got a win last night over the lowly Cavs but have to turn around today and face the Pistons. Detroit has lost 4 in a row including a double digit loss on Wednesday to the Nets. The Pistons are 3-7 in their last 10 both straight up and ATS. They are 9-16 at home while Toronto is 17-7 on the road. The money is on Detroit from the little data I can see and the line has shifted accordingly. I didn’t bet Toronto yesterday and it’s good because they didn’t cover. Bulls at Nets The All Star game is in Chicago this year and Zach LaVine didn’t make the team. Another player who didn’t make the team? Kyrie Irving. For Kyrie, it makes sense. He’s missed most of the season with injuries. But LaVine should be an all star here. He’s single handedly for the Bulls playing much better lately. As for the Nets, they only seem to be able to beat the Pistons. Both teams are pretty even in their road and home ATS and ATS over last 10. Mavs at Rockets James Harden looked like a good player on Wednesday. He put up 18 points and had 5 rebounds and 4 assists. That’s a pretty good game. But for a guy who is averaging 35/6/7, it was a shitshow. And it impacted the Rockets for sure. The Rockets head back home after a 4 game road trip that saw them to 2-2. Houston is 15-7 at home but only 11-11 ATS. Dallas is remarkable on the road. They are 16-6 straight up and 15-5-2 ATS. Grizzlies at Pelicans Damn. Two up and coming teams that have been fun to bet on lately. Ja Morant and the Grizzlies head to New Orleans to take on Zion and the Pelicans. From a pure talent standpoint, the Pelicans should be the better team but the Memphis offense has looked great with Morant leading the way. Memphis has won 4 in a row and New Orleans has won their last 2. Memphis will be without Jaren Jackson who is suspended and I think that will impact Memphis here. Nuggets at Bucks The Bucks have won 9 in a row and now they will host a Nuggets team that is still trying to get healthy. Milwaukee also has some injury issues as George Hill is out and Giannis is questionable with a shoulder injury. Giannis missed their last game but the Bucks still beat the Bullets by 20 points as Middleton went for 51 and Bledsoe dropped 34. This is a dangerous team who happens to be 22-2 at home. That drops to 13-11 ATS though. Too many question marks in this one. Thunder at Suns The Suns took down Dallas the other day as Ayton and Booker combined for 63 points. The fact that Booker isn’t an all star is baffling for sure as he’s been playing amazing this season. The Suns welcome in a Thunder team that has won 4 of 5 with their lone loss coming at the hands of Dallas. OKC is a remarkable 19-5 on the road ATS. They are also 14-10 straight up which means this team travels pretty well. The line is pretty spot on to me. Trailblazers at Lakers Well, this should cap off the tribute week to Kobe. The Lakers will surely have an emotional night in store for them. And I predict LeBron to be a man possessed from here on out. The Blazers will be without LeBron’s buddy Melo but he was a non factor in Portland’s last game as Lillard, McCollum and recently acquired Trevor Ariza led the way. The line is where it should be. NHL Red Wings at Rangers The Rangers aren’t a great team but are pretty good at home. Detroit has lost 6 straight and are due for a win and this is a winnable game. Flyers at Penguins These teams just played on Tuesday with the Flyers getting a 3-0 shutout win in Philadelphia. The mini series shifts to Pittsburgh today where the Penguins are 18-5-3. I like Pittsburgh here. Capitals at Senators In many ways this is a light line. But maybe the Senators surprise wins over the Sabres and Flames have the books scratching their heads over how people will bet this one. Seems like money is on Ottawa. Golden Knights at Hurricanes The Golden Knights go through ebbs and flows. Right now, they aren’t definitely in a slump. They have lost 4 of 5 but this will be their first game in 10 days. The Hurricanes also haven’t played in 10 days and went into the break on a little winning streak. Carolina is 17-8-1 at home and I like them here today. Bruins at Jets The mantra has been bet against the Jets. Which would have paid off well their last 4 games. Winnipeg is 11-11-2 at home and face a Bruins team that can win on the road. Money and public are slightly on Boston here but I’m all over them. Blues at Oilers Edmonton is a hit or miss team.
