History often rhymes, & the current atmosphere bears close similarity to the “October surprise” from October 28, 2016, when a late in the game announcement by then FBI Director James Comey changed the direction of the November 8 election's outcome that year.      In addition, this podcast compares the astrology of the GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's October 27 rally at NYC's Madison Square Garden with the pro-Nazi rally held there on February 20, 1939, & find some not so subtle similarities. Hint: This time transiting Mars in Cancer is opposing both transiting Pluto AND the U.S. natal Pluto in the Sibly chart's 8th & 2nd Houses, respectively. This is entirely possible, now that Trump's 3rd H progressed Scorpio Moon is less than a degree away from an exact square to his natal 12th House Leo Pluto. The simple definition? “Trouble with women!”Meanwhile, the question becomes whether we've heeded the October 2 Libra New Moon solar eclipse's request to plant seeds that blossom into us all becoming our own best partner before seeking external ones. If so, now the Scorpio New Moon tasks us to reject Libra's indecisiveness & instead to go deep into trusting our own inner truth. What does that mean? Well, the message now at this Scorpio New Moon is to plant seeds that can blossom into a greater sense of self-empowerment. You know, those who suck at the teat of government, as former President Ronald Reagan was fond of saying while promoting his austerity-oriented cuts to federal funding. The Scorpio Sun's November 4 trine to Saturn Rx in Pisces --which is slowing down now to station direct on November 15—allows us a clearer mental picture of who we are & what we do in order to develop the self-discipline necessary to accomplish our goals.With that in mind, this podcast explores the transits to the U.S. Sibly chart on election day, November 5, when the Moon moves that morning from fiery adventurous Sagittarius to earthy practical Capricorn as we stand at the threshold of this most important juncture in U.S. history.  How that will play exactly remains to be seen, but know that the “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned Mars/Pluto opposition is still very much in play. There is a new moon solar eclipse on October 2, 2024 at 2:49pm ET which will provide an opportunity for deep introspection and transformation, particularly in the realm of relationships. The new moon is about closure and new beginnings - notice any recurring themes or patterns that may be surfacing or coming to a head. These insights and learnings will be invaluable as you navigate the coming months. Eclipses are known as pivot points, marking significant shifts in our lives. When a planet is in a close conjunction with the Sun, it's called cazimi, an Arabic term that means “in the heart of the Sun.”  [3:22] Moon Report! The Libra New Moon Solar Eclipse (Oct. 2, 11:49 am PDT, 10º03' Libra) is the last eclipse in Libra until 2033. [4:15] Look back to past eclipses at this degree for clues as to what this eclipse could bring: most recently, Oct. 3, 1986 and Oct. 3, 2005. [5:07] Mars at 15º46' Cancer squares the eclipse point, accentuating the quality of release that is necessary at this eclipse, which is close to the Moon's South Node. Since the eclipse is in Libra, relationships could be due for a shakeup. If you need to make a decisive cut with the past or with people who don't help you be your best self, this eclipse could help. [6:33] This is the New Moon in a Lunar Phase Family Cycle (LPFC) that will unfold over the next few years. And because this New Moon is an eclipse, it's symbolizing important changes in our lives which can take time to develop. The First Quarter of this LPFC comes on July 2, 2025, the Full Moon is on April 1, 2026, and the Last Quarter Moon is on Dec. 30, 2026, at 09º05' Libra. [8:32] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On Oct. 1 (2:38 pm PDT), the Moon in Virgo trines Pluto, is VOC for 41 minutes, then enters Libra (3:19 pm PDT).  [9:53] On Oct. 4 (3:40 am PDT), the Moon in Libra squares Pluto, is VOC for 42 minutes, then enters Scorpio (4:22 am PDT).  [10:47] The Moon in Scorpio sextiles Pluto on Oct. 6 (3:52 pm PDT), is VOC for 42 minutes, then enters Sagittarius (4:34 pm PDT).  [12:23] Venus trines Saturn on Oct. 4 (10:04 am PDT, 14º07' Scorpio-Pisces). This stands to be an eventful week - not necessarily an easy week. We feel momentum with the last eclipse of the year. All oppositions ask us to acknowledge that the truth between two extremes usually lies right smack in the middle. In this case, change in important relationships is likely. And since the eclipse point is square Pluto, these can be permanent changes. Look to past eclipses in this area of your chart for similar themes: A lunar eclipse on April 15, 2014, 25° Libra; a solar eclipse on Oct. 14, 2004, 21°06' Libra; on Oct. 12, 1996, a solar eclipse at 19° Libra; and on April 15, 1995, a lunar eclipse at 25° Libra. Mercury transits into Libra on October 4, enhancing socialization, love connections and a fresh start. Get out in that early autumn sun and have some fun! Meanwhile, the pending eclipses are lurking as the eclipse fuse is lit at the end of the month. The key is to stay in balance as Mercury moves through the ups and downs of the Libra scales.  Keep things light and positive, because Mercury transits into serpentine Scorpio on October 22, and things might get intense. Mercury morphs into the psychopomp opening the portals to Scorpionic seductive, spookish scenarios. Virtuous Venus vibes into Virgo on October 8, taking up her maid's outfit, or nun's habit, or vestial virgin countenance, (which also make for great Halloween costumes.) Pluto pulses direct in Capricorn on October 10, giving us the green light to move forward with career, business plans and pursuing our Dharma. Mercury rules communication, transportation, and commerce. It oversees our mental processes, coordination, writing, documents, instruments, electronics, cars, siblings, and things close to us. It also is the steward of our central nervous system, our fingers and hands, and the tubes in our body! Speed is in line with Mercury, as is dexterity, flexibility, agility, and wittiness! It swiftly goes around the Sun every 88 days. It's known as a trickster, and its shadow energies include lying, falsehoods, hurtful words, malicious gossip, and wishy-washiness. Mercury is at home in Gemini and Virgo. It is in detriment in Pisces and Sagittarius. Mercury in Taurus brings practical, stable thinking and plans. Complete something you started while Mercury was in Aries. The first aspect Mercury will make is a square to Pluto on Monday! Will we see an announcement from Congress about plans for TikTok or some transportation-related news?   08:03 – Second, the Sun conjuncts Chiron at 15 Aries on Wednesday. Will we see news about a celebrity or a world leader with an illness? The Sun spotlights things and is about authority, and Chiron is about wounds and the head.   09:28 – Third, we'll have a Full Moon at 16 Libra on Wednesday! It is part of a Lunar Phase Family that began mid-October 2021 with a Libra New Moon; the First Quarter Moon was early July 2022; now we have the Full Moon. The Last Quarter Moon will be in early Jan. 2024. What began for you in Oct. 2021? Look to your chart to see if you have planets between 10-18 of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn). Tune in to hear Celeste's example of each 9-month period! This Full Moon will be about relationships of all kinds: How can you take action for yourself vs. others? How can you find balance? Virgo season continues to unfold with quieter energies as we enter September and most planets are in retrograde.
