In episode 143 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield break down the relationship between famous historical figues, French Revolutionary Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress Josephine Beauharnais/Bonaparte.   First, we investigate Napoleon's chart and find his Leo Sun feeling fulfilled to be both the leader of armies and crowned royalty of France. With his Saturn in Cancer opposing the Moon in Capricorn, we see there was strictness growing up and little compassion for women and children but with a Venus/Neptune sextile, a romanticism persisted.    Looking at Josephine's chart, we found an equally tenacious Sun conjunct Mars, but in the sign of sensitive Cancer, severing ties with family was always going to be part of her story.  JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK'S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS AUGUST 15 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking. This week we explore the true meaning of this month's lunar cycle from the July 24 Leo New Moon opposite Pluto in Aquarius, which asked us to plant seeds to better understand we're each here to evolve into the solar, creative, unique, individual we came here to be. And not to be intimidated out of that quest through manipulative coercive disempowerment tactics by the powers that be.So we knew from the beginning of this current monthly lunar cycle that it wasn't going to be without its struggles to maintain our individuality against those in power. It's important to remember that the Leo archetype is about not hiding one's light under a bushel, so that one can ultimately contribute one's unique creativity to the group for the purpose of the betterment of humanity. It's also important to understand that this month's lunation was accompanied by the beginning of the long-term trine of Uranus in Gemini to Pluto in Aquarius. And that this airy trine aspect in the sky makes its presence felt from now until the fall of 2028—aside from some brief times when it loosens a bit during that period.And that means that what we're experiencing during this period is a slow evolutionary process accompanied by many “aha!” type moments. We'll also see Uranus retrograde back into 29-degrees Taurus--known as the Pleiades point, associated with blindness—by November 7, though he'll still then maintain an out of sign trine with Pluto in Aquarius. So, Uranian revelations may well include suddenly learning where we've been blinded to what's really been happening as part of Pluto in Aquarius's evolutionary process to empower us all as individuals who stand together. America was built on the “E pluribus unim” motto, which means “out of many, one,” adopted at the signing of America's Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. When the Scorpio Moon squared the Leo Sun August 1 at the waxing first quarter “crisis in action”—which was accompanied by Venus's square to Saturn & Neptune & her quincunx to Pluto—we witnessed the beginning of our understanding that we the people were being manipulated. That's because this is when Donald Trump fired the U.S. Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics that day based on his dislike of the real unemployment numbers he then sought to fabricate into different, better sounding numbers. He also terminated the head of the Internal Revenue Service, again an indication of trying to control numbers, in line with the fact that Mars in Virgo was conjunct the transiting Virgo South Node at the Leo New Moon. After that, the August 9 Aquarius Full Moon square to Juno & Vesta in Scorpio asked us to release any tendencies toward Leo's shadow side. And that meant letting go of any selfish tendencies to disregard the specialness of each individual soul by lumping them together into a group of undesirables. By that time, Trump had re-imposed higher tariffs on 90 different "partner" countries, though by August 11--as Mercury stationed direct again in Leo & Ceres stationed retrograde in Aries (square to the Venus/Jupiter conjunction in Cancer)—he delayed tariffs on China. In other words, he TACO'd out, again…Many reputable financiers & economists predict a rise in the already high prices of imported goods—particularly at the grocery store & via automobile sales, etc. It's clear now that tariffs hurt American consumers as much if not more than foreign producers in the form of increased costs/prices across the board.Now, this week's third quarter “crisis in consciousness” stubborn Taurus Moon, in tension with the monarchical tendencies of the Leo Sun, asks us during the waning portion of this month's lunar cycle to stand our ground against the powers that be that try to define us as “less than.”What we see now on the ground in places like Washington, D.C., as federal troops & the FBI first joined--but now try to supersede the authority of--the local police there, is people beginning to protest against the authoritarian takeover of the U.S. capitol.Going back to the initial message & meaning of this month's lunar cycle since the July 24 Leo New Moon opposite Pluto in Aquarius, we can see now at this waning third-quarter square that we're asked to stand our ground as a wannabe tyrant tries to manipulate & control us all. The want us to believe that resistance in futile, but American history tells us otherwise.The presence of federal troops in U.S. cities reminds us of the time when British monarchy demanded that colonists house British troops in their homes. Known as the Quartering Act of 1774, this became of the Intolerable Acts which helped light the fuse that fueled colonial resentment towards British rule which ultimately contributed to the growing tensions that led to the American Revolution. Hence, the "invasion" of illegal immigrants Trump has used as an excuse to federalize our local police by taking over our cities is actually a federal invasion of citizens' local & state rights as the national government flood cities with federal troops, the FBI, & Immigration & Customs Enforcement's gestapo-like henchmen.In other astro-news, we have also today's "crisis in consciousness" third-quarter lunar square's summit in Anchorage Alaska between Trump & Russia's dictator, Vladimir Putin. Given the astro-energies at play, it seems likely that Putin--who already believes he has the upper hand in any peace talk negotiations--will stand his ground, thus continuing to disempower Zelensky's Ukraine.And given the fawning relationship of Trump to Putin, it's highly likely that Trump will once again flip-flop to turn against Ukraine, especially since the Moon will enter Gemini & conjoin Uranus there on August 16. Perhaps then Trump will drop his quest to be nominated for a Nobel Peace prize for his efforts to bring peace to Ukraine. There you have the shadow side of the Leo archetype in a nutshell...Next week, we see the arrival, late on August 22 or early August 23 depending on your time zone, of the Virgo New Moon at 0'23” Virgo. The Aquarius Moon—when it arrives at exactly 17-degrees of Sun-ruled Leo at 12:55 a.m. PT & 3:55 a.m. ET on August 9--then asks the Leo Sun to release any hubristic tendencies to act like a powerful but selfish & uncaring king.This lunation's square to Juno in Scorpio mirrors back to us the tension  of the current power struggle over whether America is still based on a partnership between its government--created originally by & for the people--or a monarchy under the rule of a tyrannical king. This lunation makes clear we're still under the recurrence of energies of the U.S. natal Sibly birth chart's Pluto return, begun in February 2022, that kicked off its original quest for independence. Such a move, on the heels of the Venus squares to Saturn & Neptune, reeked of a king who chose to kill the messenger rather than pay attention to the actual message, without a care for his partners.This, in turn, leads to the inability of Americans to trust the data coming out of its formerly trustworthy government agencies in charge of such economic statistical analyses. Then there's the news that convicted sex trafficker & pedophile Ghislaine Maxwell was moved to a “Club Fed” prison after her recent meetings with the U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Trump's former criminal attorney in 2024 when Trump was convicted in the NY Stormy Daniels hush money case. What's becoming clear now also since Uranus entered Gemini on July 7 is the public's change in perspective. That means a change in opinion, as the Trump/Epstein scandal becomes the monster that just won't die. Meanwhile those formerly supportive of Trump begin to turn against him as they hope against hope that he will adjust his grip & “release the Epstein files” as Venus quincunxed Pluto August 1 & 2, too.That this is symbolic of the energy of tomorrow's Aquarius Full Moon square Juno in Scorpio, as Mars opposes both Saturn & Neptune August 8/9 & creates a huge amount of frustration & a sense of impotence a la “but what can I do about any of this?”It's clear that under the SA/NE in Aries energies that boundaries continue to erode. From those between the federal government & the people it's supposed to represent; the boundaries between federal & state governance; & those between our military—designed to fight an external enemy—who invade our local borders & our city's streets. This becomes even more obvious since the FBI has now been tasked by King Trump to hunt down Texas democratic state legislators who refuse to vote for gerrymandered maps that further curtail the right of Black & brown people to equal representation when it comes to voting. Never mind if it's legal to use federal FBI law enforcement resources this way…The ultimate message of this Aquarius Full Moon, however, is that when we stand together as a group & face the bully, there's ultimately more power in numbers than in that of a weak, narcissistic wannabe king. Together we stand, divided we fall would be this month's full Moon message--& that we cannot succeed if we do not even try.Hence, as America government becomes increasingly autocratic, it becomes ever more evident that the only way to stop this is to band together to fight the authoritarian powers that be. Whether that ultimately means masses of people protesting together to get their message across, or worse, is yet to be determined. What's clear is that now is not the time to back down.However, it's fine to take a break, especially from social media—much of which under Uranus in Gemini is filled with propagandist BS, even from the left--& withdraw, for a little while. Strengthening our critical thinking skills is what's it's all about over the next seven years as Uranus in Mercury provides the ability for sudden revelatory insights as information becomes more a tool of distortion than one of fact. In the short term, as Mercury stations direct in Leo on August 11, we have the ability to regroup, observe & begin to pay attention. As more people become increasingly aware of what's going on around them, more will join the fight. Here are the picks and brief quotes from the article. “1. iShares Global Clean Energy ETF (ICLN) is a part of BlackRock and a top-performing ETF… Essentially, this fund tracks an index of stocks in the global clean energy sector. Global X Lithium & Battery Tech ETF (LIT) gives investors access to the booming electrification, lithium, and battery technology sector. With a clear focus on clean, renewable energy, Brookfield Renewable Partners distinguishes itself from many of its competitors by operating as a pure-play renewable energy company. By combining its existing expertise in oil extraction with innovative carbon capture methods, Occidental is paving the way for a future where fossil fuel extraction can coexist with carbon reduction technologies. 5. Equinor ASA (EQNR) formerly known as Statoil, is a Norwegian energy giant that has diversified its portfolio to include renewable energy sources like wind power. It has also been at the forefront of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies for over 25 years… Equinor is a key player in the Northern Lights project, a pioneering initiative in Norway aimed at developing a large-scale carbon capture and storage infrastructure… Equinor has decades of experience in offshore oil and gas exploration. Its deep-rooted knowledge of energy infrastructure is key to its success in developing large-scale carbon capture and storage solutions. With the potential to store the equivalent of 1,000 years of Norwegian CO₂ emissions beneath the seabed, Equinor's initiatives are pivotal in supporting global climate goals.” End quotes. ------------------------------------------------------------- Best Low-Carbon ETFs and Stocks (3) Still, on the theme of energy-related investments is this article titled 3 Renewable Energy Stocks to Buy in 2025 and Hold for Decades. It's by James Brumley and found on fool.com. Here is some of what Mr. Brumley says about his picks. “1. Cameco (NYSE: CCJ) one of the planet's top suppliers of uranium, with access to plenty of high-grade reserves. Its two chief mining operations in Saskatchewan, Canada, are currently jointly capable of producing a total of 43 million pounds of high-grade uranium per year, but both could support more output at only marginally more cost… Do prepare for continued volatility from Cameco stock that reflects the continued volatility of uranium prices -- although maybe not quite as much as you might expect. Confidence in nuclear power as a clean source of electricity is slowly but surely improving, leveling out these swings. 2. Brookfield Renewable (BEPC -2.65%) (BEP -1.29%). (Yes, a second recommendation in this podcast.) If you feel confident that renewable energy as an industry is investment-worthy but you don't know where to start, consider a stake in Brookfield Renewable Corp. With it, you'll own a little of everything the business encompasses… There is one detail worth pointing out there. That is, this is not Brookfield Asset Management (BAM.TO), Brookfield Corporation (BN), or Brookfield Wealth Solutions (BNT). Although all of these companies are related, Brookfield Renewable is the only one with direct exposure to the alternative energy market. The others are simply involved in the management and marketing of Brookfield Renewable. 3. First Solar (NASDAQ: FSLR) First Solar stock is down nearly 40% from its June peak largely on concerns that President-elect Donald Trump isn't as supportive of solar power as his predecessor was. And maybe he isn't. The solar tax credits that boosted the business under President Joe Biden's watch are anything but guaranteed to last through Trump's tenure… The irony is that the analyst community is still calling for strong growth from First Solar regardless of who's occupying the White House. Last year's projected top-line growth of 29% is expected to be followed by 32% growth this year, followed by 21% revenue growth next year. Even producing half of that anticipated growth should shake this stock out of its current funk and rekindle a long-term advance.” End quotes. ------------------------------------------------------------- Best Low-Carbon ETFs and Stocks (4) And, yes, another analyst article on the renewable energy theme — but with a very different angle. It's titled 2 Renewable Energy Stocks to Buy in 2025 and Hold for Decades by Leo Sun on aol.com. It was originally published on fool.com. “1. NuScale Power (NYSE: SMR) produces the only small modular reactors (SMRs) that have been certified with a Standard Design Approval (SDA) from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). Its SMRs can be installed in vessels that are just 9 feet (2.7m) wide and 65 feet (20m) tall -- which makes them much easier to deploy than larger nuclear reactors. NuScale's modular designs are prefabricated, delivered, and assembled on-site. That approach reduces the costs and construction time of a working nuclear reactor. Its current reactor clusters are certified for up to 55 megawatts of electricity… NuScale's stock has already surged nearly 650% over the past 12 months in anticipation of that approval, but it still trades more than 20% below its all-time high from last November. Analysts only expect its revenue to rise 4% to $24 million in 2024. 2. CleanSpark (NASDAQ: CLSK) develops modular microgrids for wind, solar, and other renewable energy sources. These microgrids can be deployed as stand-alone systems or plugged into existing energy grids, and they're used to funnel energy into storage systems, backup generators, and load management solutions. CleanSpark initially developed these green energy systems for other companies, but it evolved into a Bitcoin miner upon acquiring ATL Data Centers in May 2021. It upgraded ATL's mining facilities with its technology to boost their efficiency and demonstrate that it was possible to mine Bitcoins with low-carbon energy… From fiscal 2024 to fiscal 2027, analysts expect its revenue and adjusted EBITDA to grow at a CAGR of 36% and 22%...
