When I started my podcast, I came up with a top 10 wish list of guests that I'd love to host.  Bryan Kramer was on that list. Over the years, I've read all of his books, I've participated in his #H2H Twitter chats, learned from his content, and have listened to his videos. With such a strong community and vast years of digital and marketing experience, Bryan is a true thought leader. As soon as I published my first episode, he was one of the first to respond and react. Within minutes of publishing my intro, Bryan interacted and we secured a time to record.  It's like a dream come true. You'll hear it throughout the podcast. I quote his book Shareology, I ask questions about his process.   Throughout the recording, Bryan just filled the conversation with great content around the new era of marketing, engaging with empathy, and working with C-level executives to be more mindful. Best of all, Bryan announces for the first time that he's working on another book (yes, I've already pre-ordered it).  Bryan Kramer is a renowned social business strategist, global keynote speaker, executive coach, and bestselling author. In Episode 009 I got to jam with the "Zen of Marketing" as labeled by Forbes, Mr. Bryan Kramer. He is also a TEDtalk Keynote Speaker, Author of Shareology and Human to Human, as well as the CEO of a company called Pure Matter. PODCAST EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS These are some of the major takeaways that you should take note of from this episode:   Business has always been human-to-human. We do business with humans and companies seem to forget that quite often. Companies need to focus on humanizing experiences. What marketing was 10 years ago, today, and next 1-3 years will be completely different. However, at the epic center of it all are human experiences. AI, AR, VR will change those human experiences. Human touch is essential to everything. Including business and marketing. Technology will not supplement the human touch but rather strengthen it. Experiences such as Disney are things we remember as humans. Companies and brands need to focus on establishing such experiences with their customers. Losing a client is a hard pill to swallow. Getting a new one is much harder than retaining an existing one. You lose an opportunity but to retain the client focus on engagement with them and create unique experiences. Being human is quite fundamental. Everyone, including B2B and B2C should have access to the customer. Brands should be engaging with a customer more often and enforce a more 360 experience. Customer service is in essence the new form or marketing. Social media allows for a more human experience. Something that brands really need to pay stronger attention to and recognize of importance. Attention and superior time for people should be more seamless rather than shutting them off. Think the Disney experience. Delivering a better human experience can be one of the biggest marketing assets for companies. THE BIZ GRIND YOUTUBE SHOW The Biz Grind YouTube Show is a daily vlog where I talk about whatever but mostly a snapshot of my day-to-day shenanigans and a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship, business, or marketing. It is also a way for me to emphasize upon personal branding, building character, personality, and interest with other like-minded individuals. Today we join bestselling author and TEDx speaker Bryan Kramer to discuss the power of sharing to drive customer engagement and create lasting human connections. Viral content and the art of Shareology From sharing content to sharing rides, humans are hard-wired for sharing. But before we can share content and ideas customers will want to engage with, we must first understand why people share things in the first place. How does it relate to our brands? How does it relate to our customers’ goals? Bryan Kramer has it down to a science. Bryan gives us some valuable insights from his extensive research into the science of sharing, and how it has changed over the generations. It’s still different for everyone, so beware the tendency to assume all members of a given segment or generation share and interact with content the same way! As humans, Bryan explains, “we want to connect in ways that stands out. We want to be a part of something greater than ourselves.” The best brands strike a great balance between automation and personalization to stay efficient while forging mutually-rewarding relationships. Before you share anything else, please consider the four common elements to highly-engaging content that goes viral. Brian lays them all out for us and compares some real-life success stories from brands that get it. Bryan Kramer CEO of PureMatter reveals how the content that you share builds credibility and impacts others' perception of you and/or your brand. Sharing is one of the most prominent aspects of social selling (excuse me, social helping) and is the focus of Bryan's new book, Shareology. If you've previously downloaded Social Business Journal Volume 3: Digital Transformation, you've already read about how Bryan says social selling should be called social helping. Listen to this podcast to hear an example of how social helping connected Bryan with someone who became a major client and how it can ultimately create new business for your brand, too. When it comes to social media, the term "sharing" has become ubiquitous. For many it means to simply share a Facebook post. But there's much more to sharing that this. And on this episode of The Joel Comm Show, Joel's guest Bryan Kramer delves into the science of sharing. As a best-selling author of the book, Shareology, Bryan is uniquely qualified to discuss how sharing is actually powering the human economy. Recorded on the Blab.im site, the show includes guest appearances from other social experts and audience members with questions. I hope you enjoy this enlightening conversation, and that you would share it with others!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Focus on Customer Service Podcast

Filling yet another social engagement void that no one knew they needed, Blab is a multi-person live-streaming platform that is once again changing how we communicate with each other. Up to four speakers appear on video simultaneously in Brady Bunch-style boxes, while onlookers can participate via chat. Now anyone can be a broadcaster of content with just a computer or an iPhone (Android coming soon). One immediate differentiator of the platform, besides the ability to have multiple streams simultaneously, is the availability of real-time customer service. By simply typing “@help” into the chat, Blab’s Brittany Metz appears like magic in the Blab to address any issues and answer any questions. The whole experience is so cool that we just had to invite Brittany Metz, the self-proclaimed “Community Princess” (because Community Manager sounded “boring”) of Blab, to talk with us on the Focus on Customer Service podcast. And naturally, we held the interview live on Blab and used the recording to create the audio podcast. PureMatter CEO and Shareology author Bryan Kramer also joined the Blab, which covers a wide range of topics including customer service, upcoming Blab enhancements, and some real-time questions from the audience. Some of the most quotable moments from the podcast include: * “We are about spontaneous, open, public conversations.” * On brands doings customer service on Blab: “You know what, we do our customer service on Blab; it’s public, it’s open because we’ve got nothing to hide. We have great customer service and we want to highlight and show that to the world. I think it will happen.” * “You treat everyone as a star.” * “Everyone has the potential to create really great content here.” * “We don’t want to gamify the system. Content is king, so we want the best content to surface.” * “If you build a product thinking about monetization and how to make money on it, you’re going to build a different product.” As always, if you have experienced awesome customer service on social media, please tweet us using the hashtag #FOCS and we will try to get that brand on a future episode.
