This week's guest is the host of the Simply Wholehearted Podcast, Amy Wicks!  Amy is also a Wholehearted Living Coach who works as a faith-based enneagram coach for female entrepreneurs to create life-giving rhythms for thriving relations and a business they love.   In today's episode we discuss with Amy how she got into the Enneagram.  She loves the framework of this personality test, getting to know people better and falling in love with how people think differently, and why they do what they do.   We just love how Amy describes the tool of the Enneagram.  She says, “The Enneagram amplifies the light and Christ brings the Freedom.” So good!  Amy covers the basics of the Enneagram, the nine points of the core personalities and how you can use this resource. It can help you learn how you respond to stress, healthy situations and relationally. What separates the Enneagram personality from others is it helps you learn your childhood message and how it plays a part in who you are today. We love how Amy digs a bit more into this aspect and how it can help you in your life now and as you mother your children.   Motherhood feels different for all women and understanding the Enneagram and yourself a little better, helps you understand why motherhood looks differently on others. Motherhood can feel limiting to some and life-giving to others.    Amy leaves us with some incredible resources to learn more as well as ways to connect with her!

Have you ever wondered if you should write your story? Or rather, have you wondered if you should publish your story? Maybe it's a story that weaves the reader through idyllic settings and simplistic relational issues, or perhaps it's the story you lived to tell about and the reason you have hope. I know that over 5.5 years ago when I started Simply Wholehearted, I wasn't sure how to write, publish and share a book, but then I discovered hope*writers. Back in the day, it was just a podcast, and they were opening their doors to a group of wannabe writers who could learn from the experts and sojourn with like-minded friends. Since the hope*writers have become an outstanding community of thousands whose mission is to help you determine where you are on the writing journey and get you to your next path. Not only are they helping fellow writers like me, but they also were a partner in last month's Wholehearted Enneagram Summit. The hope*writers team is so amazing to work with. We decided I should record a special episode to conclude the 16th season of the podcast- Today's conversation is with Carla H. Hayden, Chief Operating Officer of h*w. She also happens to be an Enneagram Eight and incredibly well-versed in Enneagram insight. This conversation was so good because we chatted about my top 3 fav things, faith, enneagram, and writing. We also tackle the emotional struggle that might be getting in the way of creating the writing rhythm you desire. Carla is your go-to for clarity and the courage boost you might need. I'm fairly confident you will really enjoy this conversation and be excited to have Carla back on the podcast sometime soon! Here are a few FREE resources from hope*writers to help you! This is a conversation I have secretly been wanting to have for a very long time now. As you know, the way we approach our fitness and nutrition is all wrapped up in our mindset and our motivations, and even our personality.  Having spent years coaching hundreds and hundreds of women, I have seen it time and time again, that our individual personalities and the lens through which we interact with the world completely impacts how we show up for ourselves. And the more we can understand how we've been wired and what motivates us individually, the more success we'll experience with our habits.    So on today's episode I've got Amy Wicks with me. Amy is a faith-based Enneagram Coach, speaker, and writer who lives in Kansas City with her family. She is the voice of the weekly Simply Wholehearted Podcast and has co-authored several books and is just releasing her first solo book titled Should Christians Use the Enneagram. She and I have an excellent conversation about how each enneagram type can tap into their strengths to make the most progress and take care of their bodies best.
