ANGELA PETRILLI Interview (with Matt & Rob) Angela is an LA based guitarist who fronts her great band, "The Players" They most recently released a live version of Led Zeppelin's "No Quarter" which will most certainly blow you away! We talked to Angela about the Netflix documentary "Norman's Rare Guitars".  Angela is part of the documentary and she's a big part of Norman's Guitars with her "guitar of the week" videos and also instructional videos teaching guitar players some of the songs she absolutely loves. A new album is in the works from Angela Petrilli and the Players! In this interview we talk about Norman's, Zeparella, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Incubus, Martin Guitar and of course.. Guitars! ***** A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ANGELA PETRILLI Back in 2019 Angela lost her dear friend and bandmate Jennifer Pagliaro from stage 4 breast cancer. Angela was one half of the duo "Roses and Cigarettes" (with Jenny).  That year they created some major buzz with their 3rd album "Echoes and Silence" and a tour in the works.  On March 25th Rolling Stone named their song "Fast as I Can" as one of the 10 best country songs of the week. But in a heartbreaking and tragic turn of events, Pagliaro—who had been fighting off cancer for years—passed away the very next day. She was just 35. For the better part of a year, the grieving Petrilli put down her guitar, left L.A. behind and set out across the world. She traveled to Nashville, New York, Paris and Italy, eventually making it as far as Australia. Along the way, she spent a lot of time on the ocean, where she was able to find some peace and clarity. As she began to heal, she could feel her muse calling once again. Finally back home in L.A., she reached out to some musician friends and booked a bar gig under the name The Petrilli Players. The idea was to shake off the cobwebs, play some covers and have a good time—and that's exactly how it went down. With a reinvigorated sense of purpose, and a band of simpatico players—Brett Grossman on bass, Stephen Haaker on drums, Matt Lomeo on harmonica & backing vocals, Bobby Victor on keys, and Vic Vanacore III on percussion—Petrilli was inspired to start writing again. (STINGER: WWE) Andrade is apparently getting what he wants. WWE announced Sunday night that it's come to terms on his release. Andrade was a former United States and NXT Champion, but he hadn't appeared on WWE TV since last October. Roman Reigns is still the Universal Champion, but his win over Daniel Bryan at Fastlane was FAR from conclusive. The end of last night's main event saw the referee knocked out, putting the special enforcer Edge in the position of officiating the match. Bryan fought off a steel chair attack by Jey Uso. Then, went to hit Reigns, BUT Reigns and Bryan hit Edge instead. Moments later, Bryan got Reigns in the Yes Lock. Reigns was tapping, but Edge didn't bother checking on Reigns. He just hit Bryan with the chair - hit Reigns too - and then, walked out. Reigns crawled on top of Bryan...a backup referee ran out...and Reigns got the pin. The Fiend is BACK. He emerged in the flesh for the first time since December to help Alexa Bliss defeat Randy Orton. Before Bliss even made her entrance, Orton coughed up some BLACK GOO! After the bell rang, Bliss conjured a wall of flames...and lured Orton around the ring, where a lighting rig nearly fell on him. Back in the ring, Bliss shot a fireball at Orton. It didn't do much damage. But THEN, a hand reached up through a hole in the ring - followed by more flames! The Fiend then emerged from the hole, sporting a new, charred look that calls back to last December, when Orton lit The Fiend on fire. Anway, The Fiend hit Sister Abigail...and Bliss PINNED Orton. Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax are still the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Dissension between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair cost them the match...as Baszler rolled up Belair for the pin. After the match, Banks chewed out Belair and slapped her in the face. There was a confusing ending to the Intercontinental Title match between Big E and Apollo Crews. Big E appeared to roll up Crews for the pin, but Crews just kept beating up on Big E for a little while longer. Riddle retained his United States Championship by pinning Mustafa Ali. After the match, Ali berated Retribution...and paid the price for it. Reckoning and Slapjack walked out on him...and then, T-Bar and Mace hit Ali with a double chokeslam. Drew McIntyre beat Sheamus in a hard-hitting No Holds Barred Match. Seth Rollins pinned Shinsuke Nakamura. The match between Shane McMahon and Braun Strowman announced on last Monday's Raw did NOT happen. Shane claimed he suffered a knee injury during training. So, Strowman beat Elias instead. The 24/7 Championship changed hands at Fastlane. R-Truth briefly lost it to an Old Spice pitchman. Truth quickly got his baby back afterward. (STINGER: AEW) AEW is promoting a “triple main event” for tonight's Dark: Elevation: LEGIT Leyla Hirsch vs. Ryo Mizunami...Orange Cassidy vs. Ryan Nemeth...and Ethan Page vs. Alan “5” Angels. (STINGER: New Japan) Will Ospreay pinned Shingo Takagi on Sunday to win the New Japan Cup tournament. Ospreay's win means he will challenge Kota Ibushi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at the Sakura Genesis show on April 4th. Ospreay and Ibushi were face to face at the end of Sunday's show. That's when Ospreay shockingly delivered a no-look cutter to his girlfriend Bea Priestley. The effectiveness of COVID-19 precautions at Raymond James Stadium and other NFL events will not be fully known for at least a couple weeks. But police and other officials are disappointed by what they saw AFTER the game. Victory celebrations saw many revelers maskless...and ignoring social distancing measures. Tampa's police chief told WUSF Public Media...some businesses could see their liquor licenses suspended. Despite all that, Tampa's mayor promised Monday that plans for a “safe” public celebration for the Buccaneers will be announced within the next couple days. Meanwhile, independent promotions started to roll out their Mania week plans on Monday. GCW will hold The Collective - April 8, 9 and 10th. It says all events will be held outdoors with numerous COVID-19 safety protocols. IWTV is running its “Showcase Of The Independents” over those same three nights. It seems like WWE is willing to open its doors to just about any music artist who wants in. Bad Bunny was back on Raw last night - helping Damien Priest score a win over Angel Garza - by outsmarting Garza's new allies, The Miz and John Morrison. WWE exec Nick Khan told Forbes we're going to be seeing a lot of Bad Bunny on WWE TV. Khan also told Forbes that WWE also has its eyes on getting Cardi B involved. Amid all this, rapper and actor Bow Wow has been tweeting about HIS own interest in getting inside a WWE ring. A couple other notes from that Forbes article - Khan said WWE is developing a number of animated properties to target younger viewers - some aiming for kids as young as 2 years old. Khan said WWE is also reexamining its gaming strategy. THREE title matches are now set for WWE's Elimination Chamber show. The Chamber match itself will see Drew McIntyre defending the WWE Championship against Randy Orton, Sheamus, AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy and The Miz. McIntyre and Orton were in the main event of last night's Raw. Sheamus showed up to ruin the match - and got a Claymore for his troubles. In another matchup of Chamber opponents last night - AJ Styles submitted Jeff Hardy. Royal Rumble winner Edge said last night he will not decide on his Mania title shot until after the Chamber. Lacey Evans “earned” herself a shot at Asuka's RAW Women's Championship...with a DQ win over Charlotte Flair. And that title match is now set for the Chamber. Rumble winner Bianca Belair was on Raw to let Asuka know she could be next...if Asuka gets through Evans. The third title match announced for Elimination Chamber is a triple threat for the U.S. Title. Bobby Lashley defending against Keith Lee and Riddle. Lee returned to Raw last night with a win over Riddle. After the match, Lashley laid waste to both guys. Lana beat Nia Jax in a tables match. On this episode of From the Vault, Jay Cal goes back to 2012 to speak to TMDK. The Mighty Don't Kneel were a tag team from Australia's Explosive Pro Wrestling, who found footing in the United States through EPW's working relationship with David Marquez and Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. Separately the duo had traveled to the United States and achieved some success as independents. But it wasn't until the duo became a tag team that they inevitably became one of the hottest tag teams of their time. After holding the EPW Tag Team Titles for 245 days the pairing set forth to work Internationally. With stops across Australia, the duo would work with the Kensuke Office in 2011, and by the end of the year, they were working regularly for Pro Wrestling Noah. A brief hiatus from NOAH would see them travel yet again to the states to work with Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, but soon they would begin to work for Ring of Honor, Ohio Valley Wrestling, and Impact. By 2013 the pair would be almost exclusive to NOAH and would work there until being signed by the WWE's NXT in 2015. The pair first went by TM-61, but would later change their name to The Mighty. By 2018, Nichols asked for and was granted his release from the WWE. He wanted to be closer to home. Nichols would go on to spend most of 2019 working with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Monday's Raw marked the end of WWE's months-long residency at Orlando's Amway Center. Construction is already underway at the new home of the ThunderDome inside Tampa's Tropicana Field. The full card is set for New Japan's World Tag League/Best of the Super Jr. finals coming up on Friday. The IWGP double champion Tetsuya Naito will be on the undercard, tagging with BUSHI against his Wrestle Kingdom Night 1 opponent Kota Ibushi and Master Wato. Kazuchika Okada will also return to action for a 6-man tag - teaming with Hiroshi Tanashi and Toa Henare...against Will Ospreay, Great O-Khan and Jeff Cobb. But the group known as RETRIBUTION charged the ring and surrounded the squared circle. Just as Mustafa Ali was about to unleash his crew, the lights went out in the WWE ThunderDome, and The Fiend & Bliss disappeared. RETRIBUTION's night was just beginning, though, as The Hurt Business arrived for their Eight-Man Tag Team Match. United States Champion Bobby Lashley was on fire from the opening bell, as he steamrolled T-BAR and SLAPJACK. But RETRIBUTION would not be kept down, as Mustafa Ali pummeled Cedric Alexander. Lashley cinched in the Hurt Lock on T-BAR, who tapped out to give The Hurt Business the victory. But as soon as the bell rang, both factions learned that something more malevolent is waiting in the wings. The lights were cut out once again, and when they came back on, The Fiend was there. The Fiend bulldozed through most of RETRIBUTION, as Ali escaped after T-BAR went after the terrifying Superstar.
