March 22nd, 1999: It's the go-home episode of "Monday Night Raw" before "WrestleMania 15," and it's quite the eventful show! "Stone Cold" Steve Austin must face "The Big Show" Paul Wight in tonight's main event, while The Rock and Mankind will go head-to-head in order to determine who gets to be the special guest referee for the match. But before all of that goes down, "Stone Cold" has a surprise for The Rock, Vince, and Shane: a truck full of beer with a fire-hose attached to it! Kane is scheduled to face Goldust, but a shocking turn of events leads to "The Big Red Machine" being burned once again. WWF Intercontinental Champion "The Road Dogg" faces WWF Hardcore Champion Billy Gunn in a match where the winning Outlaw receives both titles. In six-man tag team action, The Undertaker & The Acolytes face The Big Boss Man, Ken Shamrock, and Test. Not wanting to wait for "WrestleMania," Shane McMahon challenges X-Pac to a Greenwich Street Fight in the parking lot of the arena. Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart defend their WWF Tag Team Titles against Brood members Gangrel & Edge, resulting in a bloodbath for someone at ringside. WWF Women's Champion Sable squares off with Ivory in a non-title bout, but P.M.S.'s antics outside the ring completely overshadow the match. Apparently jealous of the attention that Goldust has been giving to Ryan Shamrock, The Blue Meanie calls out Ryan for an in-ring confrontation. Plus, Jim Ross parties at a frat house, The Stooges get attacked by a legendary tag team, and we strangely see black-and-white footage of a 1950's household with the word "Cleavage" on the mailbox! March 15th, 1999: The Rock and "The Big Show" Paul Wight are still at odds, so Vince McMahon comes up with an idea: have them team up tonight to face the team of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Mankind. And speaking of Mr. McMahon, The Undertaker continues to torment him by showing up at his home in Connecticut to threaten his family. And later, The Big Boss Man steps into a steel cage for a "Hard Times Match" against Mideon, who ends up paying the price for The Undertaker's antics. Triple-H and Corporate Kane continue their feud by brawling with each other around ringside.... until the segment ends with a shocking result. Both members of The New Age Outlaws get chances at singles titles as "The Road Dogg" Jesse James faces WWF Intercontinental Champion Val Venis while Billy Gunn goes one-on-one with WWF Hardcore Champion Hardcore Holly. WWF European Champion Shane McMahon requests a Handicap Match against a legendary tag team, but things may not be what they seem. WWF Tag Team Champions Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart defend their titles against Public Enemy, a team that is apparently no longer wanted in the company. While shilling her new issue of Playboy, Sable gets interrupted by Tori, which leads to one of the worst promos in wrestling history. Plus, fans in the arena get deafened by buzzsaws as a team of carpenters builds a special structure for Jim Ross while the show is going on! Enjoying the Podcast? March 8th, 1999: Vince McMahon will allow Mankind to be the special guest referee at "WrestleMania 15" on one condition: he must face "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in a match where Paul Wight is the special guest referee. And speaking of Paul Wight, there is a bit of dissension within The Corporation as The Rock now believes that "The Big Nasty" can not be trusted. And in other Corporation news, The Undertaker and The Ministry of Darkness have made it their mission to sacrifice The Big Boss Man tonight on "Raw." The New Age Outlaws reunite for "one night only" to take on the dysfunctional team of Hardcore Holly & Al Snow. X-Pac squares off with Test as The Corporation continues to be a thorn in DX's side. D'Lo Brown and Owen Hart step into the ring for a Steel City Street Fight, where both men are obviously required to wear blue jeans. Ken Shamrock goes one-on-one with Goldust, who is accompanied by Ken's sister Ryan and a jealous Blue Meanie. The Godfather and Steve Blackman are scheduled to have a match, but "The Lethal Weapon" may not be able to refuse The Godfather's tempting offer. Tori has her first ever WWF match against Luna Vachon, although Sable ends up hogging the spotlight by calling attention to her new issue of Playboy. Jim Ross continues to wreak havoc by mocking Terry Taylor for being The Red Rooster and (hilariously) kicking Michael Cole directly in the balls. Plus, we take a detour over to "Sunday Night Heat" where an infamous match occurs and we get the debut of a certain Olympic hero! Meanwhile over on "Nitro," head booker Kevin Nash comes up with a unique idea for the first hour of the show: no wrestling whatsoever! Enjoying the Podcast? March 1st, 1999: Vince McMahon wants to fire Kane for not winning the Inferno Match last week, but Chyna steps in with a proposition: allow Kane to keep his job if he can defeat "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in the main event. And speaking of Mr. McMahon, he also books another marquee match-up for tonight's show: The Undertaker vs. Mankind. Jim Ross returns to the WWF three months after suffering a second bout of Bell's palsy...... so obviously, they turn him heel. "The Road Dogg" Jesse James also makes his return to the company, and his first match back is for the WWF Title against The Rock! Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett put their WWF Tag Team Titles on the line against the formidable team of Triple-H & X-Pac. Val Venis defends his Intercontinental Title in a Triple Threat Match against Ken Shamrock and Goldust. Luna Vachon and Tori confront Sable about her new attitude, with somewhat surprising results. Public Enemy impersonate The Brood, and then they proceed to get more than they bargained for when a bloody scene ensues backstage. Debra challenges Ivory to a match despite the fact that she is in no way a competent wrestler. Darren Drozdov steps into Steve Blackman's realm for the first ever Kendo Stick Match. Plus, Paul Wight continues to make his presence felt, Billy Gunn gets removed from a match because he has asthma (seriously), and we get a pre-taped vignette where we are introduced to some of Shane McMahon's childhood friends from Greenwich, Connecticut! February 22nd, 1999: The Undertaker's torment of Vince McMahon causes the chairman to schedule a very interesting main event: 'Taker vs. Kane in the first ever Inferno Match on "Monday Night Raw!" And speaking of Mr. McMahon, he appears to have some other problems on his hands when Paul Wight challenges fellow Corporation member The Rock to put his WWF Title on the line tonight! In order to receive a European Title rematch against Shane McMahon at "WrestleMania," X-Pac has to earn it the hard way by stepping into the ring with Chyna. Ken Shamrock faces Billy Gunn in a match where the winner becomes the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Title.... even though both men lost Intercontinental Title matches last week. And on a related note, WWF Intercontinental Champion Val Venis goes one-on-one with Goldust in a non-title match, which features some unexpected outside interference. WWF Hardcore Champion Bob Holly is now referring to himself as "Hardcore Holly," and he puts his title on the line against his former tag team partner Bart Gunn. D'Lo Brown calls out the WWF Tag Team Champions Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart, and the result is pretty much exactly what you would expect. Edge & Gangrel step into the ring with a legendary ECW tag team who are finally making their debut in the WWF. Steve Blackman squares off with Darren Drozdov because sometimes you just need to kill three minutes of television time. Plus, Mankind is petitioning to be the special guest referee for the main event of "WrestleMania," and Sable's heel turn continues as she proceeds to confront her stalker and Luna Vachon. February 14th / 15th, 1999: Who will be in the main event of "WrestleMania 15"? We find out the answer at "St. Valentine's Day Massacre" and the following night's episode of "Raw," so listen along as Adam from NitroMania joins the show to break it all down! "St. Valentine's Day Massacre" Card: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon in a Steel Cage Match WWF Champion Mankind vs. The Rock in a Last Man Standing Match Triple-H & X-Pac vs. Chyna & Kane WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock vs. Val Venis w/Billy Gunn acting as the special guest referee WWF Tag Team Champions Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart vs. D'Lo Brown & Mark Henry Bob Holly vs. Al Snow for the vacant WWF Hardcore Title The Big Boss Man vs. Mideon Goldust vs. Bluedust February 15th, 1999 "Monday Night Raw": Under pressure from Vince McMahon, Commissioner Shawn Michaels books one final match between WWF Champion Mankind and The Rock: a Ladder Match for the title tonight on "Raw!" And speaking of Mr. McMahon, "Stone Cold" may have gotten the better of him last night, but the chairman has another trick up his sleeve when he appoints a special guest referee for the main event of "WrestleMania": new WWF signee Paul Wight! Triple-H & X-Pac face the team of Kane & Shane McMahon in a tag match with a rather interesting stipulation: X-Pac's European Title is on the line. Val Venis puts his newly-won Intercontinental Title on the line against Billy Gunn, and "The Big Valbowski" has some unfortunate news for Ryan Shamrock after the match concludes. Kevin Kelly conducts an interview with WWF Women's Champion Sable, who appears to have a bit of a new attitude. Corporation members The Big Boss Man, Test, and Ken Shamrock face Ministry of Darkness members The Acolytes & Mideon in a six-man tag team match which ends up being overshadowed by The Undertaker's new plot to take over the WWF. Bob Holly defends his Hardcore Title against Steve Blackman, but then he receives a surprise after the match when a former tag team partner returns after a six-month absence. Jeff Jarrett & Debra team up to face D'Lo Brown & Ivory in an intergender tag team match. February 13th, 1999: In what is STILL the biggest crowd ever for an episode of "Raw," the WWF packs over 41,000 fans into The SkyDome for a special Saturday night episode! Vince McMahon orders WWF Champion Mankind to face "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in a non-title match, but those plans may change by the end of the night. For some reason, The Rock has a match with, of all people, Steve Blackman. X-Pac faces a daunting challenge when he is ordered to compete against Corporate Kane. The Ken Shamrock/Val Venis feud continues to escalate, which results in a special guest referee being appointed for their match at "St. Valentine's Day Massacre." Al Snow calls out "The Road Dogg" but, when he doesn't answer the challenge, Al then proceeds to have a Hardcore Match.... against himself. Jeff Jarrett goes one-on-one with D'Lo Brown, who introduces us to a brand new female wrestler. Viscera squares off with The Godfather in what is sure to be a five-star classic. Goldust steps into the ring with Gillberg in a match which has a rather surprising result. Plus, we get the famous visual of Vince yelling in "Stone Cold's" face, Darren Drozdov beats up an announcer, and Earl Hebner suffers the wrath of some unforgiving Canadian fans! Meanwhile over on "Nitro," we get roughly 800 vignettes, including the revelation that Raven is actually a spoiled rich kid! Enjoying the Podcast? January 31st / February 1st, 1999: At "Halftime Heat," The Rock defends his WWF Title against Mankind in an Empty Arena Match, but which of these bitter rivals will come out on top this time around? Then we move on to "Raw," where Vince McMahon comes up with a plan: he'll head to Victoria, Texas to provoke "Stone Cold" Steve Austin into hitting him, which would cancel their match at "St. Valentine's Day Massacre." Shane McMahon gets to run the show in Vince's absence, but his ego may once again get the better of him when he calls out his recent rival X-Pac. In our main event, the DX/Corporation feud continues to escalate as Triple-H steps into the ring with Kane.... inside of a steel cage. The Ministry of Darkness have their first match on "Raw" against The Brood, which results in The Undertaker attempting to murder Gangrel by hanging him with a noose. And as if that wasn't enough, The Ministry then proceeds to add some new members to the group later on in the show. The Rock and Mankind have another promo duel to set up their next match, and this face-off is highlighted by the fact that The Rock is legitimately losing his voice while he's speaking. After last week's miscommunication, Val Venis and Billy Gunn go head-to-head in an attempt to settle their differences while WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock looks on from the commentary table. In a Hardcore Tag Team Match, "The Road Dogg" & Al Snow once again team up to face The Acolytes. P.M.S. continues to manipulate D'Lo Brown weeks after he accidentally caused Terri Runnels' miscarriage, and this time they're forcing him to wrestle The Big Boss Man. However, after the match ends, some new information about Terri's pregnancy comes to the forefront. Droz squares off with Kurrgan in what turns out to be the final match on "Raw" featuring a member of The Oddities. Mark Henry once again interrupts an interview with Debra, which proves to be a mistake for "Sexual Chocolate." In one of the more pointless segments in recent memory, The Blue Meanie provides us with an "all-male dance revue" for about ten seconds before Goldust thankfully attacks him. Plus, the WWF airs their classic commercial during Super Bowl XXXIII, Chyna cuts her first heel promo, we see what Max Mini looks like without his mask, and we find out which WWF employee starred in the 1995 "Mortal Kombat" movie! Meanwhile over on "Nitro," we get two hilarious instances of people botching someone else's name! Enjoying the Podcast? E-mail us at rawattitudepodcast@gmail.com or Tweet us @RawAttitudePod! January 24th / 25th, 1999: Does "Stone Cold" Steve Austin really have "No Chance In Hell" at winning The Royal Rumble? Sal from WrestleMania SalVation joins the Podcast again to break down all the craziness from the pay-per-view, plus the following night's episode of "Raw!" "Royal Rumble 1999" Card: The Royal Rumble Match WWF Champion Mankind vs. The Rock in an "I Quit" Match WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock vs. Billy Gunn WWF European Champion X-Pac vs. Gangrel WWF Women's Champion Sable vs. Luna Vachon in a Strap Match WWF Hardcore Champion "The Road Dogg" Jesse James vs. The Big Boss Man in a non-title match January 25th, 1999 "Monday Night Raw": One night after winning the Royal Rumble match, Vince McMahon decides to vacate his position as the #1 contender... but two familiar foes then inform him that he has made a terrible mistake. Triple-H challenges the new WWF Champion The Rock to yet another "I Quit" Match tonight on "Raw," and the result of the match leaves the fans in shock. And speaking of The Rock, his bitter rival Mankind shows up to tell the world that "The Great One" may not have actually been successful in getting him to quit last night. The Big Boss Man & Ken Shamrock put their WWF Tag Team Titles on the line against Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett in a rare heel vs. heel tag match. Shane McMahon forces Kane to publicly apologize until an unlikely ally tells "The Big Red Machine" that he should ditch The Corporation in favor of a different stable. Val Venis squares off with Test, but not before "The Big Valbowski" introduces us to his newest movie.... starring Ken Shamrock's sister. "The Road Dogg" & Al Snow team up to face Gangrel & Edge in a Hardcore Tag Team Match which takes place almost entirely backstage. Billy Gunn steps into the ring with Goldust, who is now being taunted by a bizarre copycat. Darren Drozdov calls out WWF Hall of Famer George "The Animal" Steele in what turns out to be one of only two matches that "The Animal" ever wrestles on "Raw." January 18th, 1999: The Rock intentionally screwed Kane out of the WWF Title last week, so Commissioner Shawn Michaels has ordered "The Great One" to face "The Big Red Machine" tonight. WWF Champion Mankind faces The Big Boss Man in a non-title Hardcore Rules Match where Mick Foley once again takes several unnecessarily brutal bumps. Chyna has a busy night ahead of her as she not only finds the time to humiliate Mark Henry in an infamous segment, but she also later faces Pat Patterson & Gerald Brisco in a Handicap Match. WWF Hardcore Champion "The Road Dogg" Jesse James puts his belt on the line against Gangrel in a match featuring a table which refuses to break. Billy Gunn steps into the ring with Test, who is sporting a ridiculously goofy t-shirt. Al Snow goes one-on-one with Goldust in a match where the winner gains custody of Head. After a surprising heel turn on "Heat" eight days ago, Dan "The Beast" Severn returns to the ring to face his former friend Steve Blackman. Shane McMahon continues to train Vince for The Royal Rumble, this time inside of an actual wrestling ring instead of in the snow. Plus, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin returns to his home-state, Sable graces us with perhaps the worst run-in of all-time, and The Undertaker promises that another sacrifice is coming! January 11th, 1999: In his first promo since winning the WWF Title last week, Mankind duels on the mic with The Rock as the former champ tries to talk Mick Foley into a rematch at the "Royal Rumble." However, Mankind may not even make it that far because Vince McMahon forces him to defend his belt tonight on "Raw" against Kane. And speaking of The McMahons, Shane announces a very special main event for tonight's show: a Corporate Royal Rumble pitting members of The Corporation against members of DX, with the winner being awarded the #30 position in the Royal Rumble match. In what is likely one of the most bizarre segments in the history of the WWF/E, The Undertaker returns after a month-long absence to perform an unholy ritual on Dennis Knight. Triple-H steps into the ring with Edge in a match which we surprisingly only end up getting a handful of times over the next 12 years despite both men's lengthy tenures with the company. As a counterpunch to Tony Schiavone's "butts in seats" line from "Nitro" last week, we get introduced to the legendary character who is simply known as..... Gillberg. The New Age Outlaws face Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart, with the winning team earning the right to become the #1 contenders for the WWF Tag Team Titles. Val Venis sets his sights on a lovely young woman in the crowd, but he gets more than he bargained for when it turns out that he's attempting to seduce the sister of a fellow wrestler. Because D'Lo Brown was somewhat responsible for causing her miscarriage last week, Terri Runnels forces D'Lo to fight his own best friend: Mark Henry. X-Pac puts his European Title on the line against the newly Head-less Al Snow. Plus, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin continues to wreak havoc, Chyna's friend Sammy is still hanging around, and Shane helps Vince train for the Royal Rumble by having him chase a chicken in the snow! Meanwhile over on "Nitro," WCW follows up their "Fingerpoke of Doom" episode with three hours of television that are somehow even worse than last week's show! Enjoying the Podcast? December 28th, 1998: Because Shawn Michaels refused to help out Shane McMahon last week, Vince McMahon vows to fire him live on "Raw" tonight only five short weeks into HBK's tenure as commissioner! "The Road Dogg" Jesse James is initially booked to defend his Hardcore Title against Val Venis, but Vince replaces Val with Mankind in an attempt to drive a wedge between DX and Foley. Two months after vacating the Intercontinental Title, Triple-H gets a chance to regain the belt when he takes on reigning champion Ken Shamrock. In another DX vs. Corporation match, X-Pac puts his European Title on the line against The Big Boss Man. And in a third match between the two stables, DX member Billy Gunn goes one-on-one with the newest member of The Corporation: Kane. The newly-named Pretty Mean Sisters seek to continue their torment of Mark Henry, but "The World's Strongest Man" receives some unexpected back-up from his "girlfriend" Chyna. Sable is scheduled to defend her WWF Women's Championship against..... The Spider Lady? Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett team up to face the unlikely team of Steve Blackman & Goldust. Edge steps into the ring with a still-covered-in-blood Al Snow, who apparently hasn't bathed since he received a bloodbath 13 days ago. Plus, Shane helps Vince train for the Royal Rumble match in an amusing montage, Dan "The Beast" Severn makes a surprise return, and an unsuspecting Dennis Knight comes to the arena because "He" told him to be there. Meanwhile over in WCW, Kevin Nash ends Goldberg's winning streak at "Starrcade 1998" and Ric Flair challenges Eric Bischoff on "Nitro" for control of the company! Enjoying the Podcast? December 21st, 1998: Vince McMahon leaves the arena to go train for the Royal Rumble, and so he leaves his son Shane in charge for the night. However, that may prove to be a mistake as an out-of-his-element Shane ends up booking himself into his very first wrestling match against Mankind. Triple-H & X-Pac team up to face The Rock and a man who is also making his in-ring debut: Test! Mark Henry & D'Lo Brown are scheduled to face The Headbangers, but "Sexual Chocolate" may not be able to resist the advances of Terri Runnels and Jacqueline. Ken Shamrock puts his Intercontinental Title on the line against "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn.... or does he? WWF Hardcore Champion The Big Boss Man squares off with "The Road Dogg" in what is supposed to be a non-title match, but Jesse James may be able to convince him to put the belt up for grabs. Five weeks after being pushed off the TitanTron, Road Warrior Hawk returns to the WWF and reveals some dark secrets about his relationship with Droz. Even though The Blue Blazer was unmasked last week, the caped superhero returns to seek revenge on Steve Blackman. Gangrel steps into the ring with Al Snow, and a post-match "bloodbath" may cause Al to go completely insane (well okay, more than usual). The Acolytes take on J.O.B. Squad members Bob Holly & Scorpio in what turns out to be the final "Raw" match for the man formerly known as Flash Funk. Plus, Jeff Jarrett rants about what pisses him off, "Classy" Freddie Blassie dresses up as a perverted mall Santa Claus for some reason, and The Corporation shockingly adds a new member to its growing ranks! Meanwhile in WCW, we get the final episode of "Nitro" before the controversial "Starrcade 1998" pay-per-view, with the highlight of the show being Scott Steiner mocking someone for using steroids (yes, seriously). December 13th / 14th, 1998: The WWF gives us a lousy pay-per-view followed by an awesome episode of "Raw," and Sal from WrestleMania SalVation is joining the Podcast to break it all down! "Rock Bottom: In Your House" Card: WWF Champion The Rock vs. Mankind Buried Alive Match: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. The Undertaker WWF Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws vs. Ken Shamrock & The Big Boss Man Striptease Match: Goldust vs. Jeff Jarrett Steve Blackman vs. Owen Hart The Brood vs. The J.O.B. Squad D'Lo Brown & Mark Henry vs. Val Venis & The Godfather The Headbangers vs. The Oddities December 14th, 1998 "Monday Night Raw": D-Generation-X opens the show by parodying The Corporation, which leads to Commissioner Shawn Michaels scheduling two title matches tonight: The Rock defending his WWF Championship against Triple-H, and The New Age Outlaws putting their Tag Titles on the line against Ken Shamrock & The Big Boss Man in a rematch from "Rock Bottom." Vince and Shane McMahon reveal "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's number for the Royal Rumble match, and then we get the surprising announcement of who the second participant in the match will be. Also, because Mankind and Kane pissed off Vince last night, The Chairman schedules them to fight each other in a No Holds Barred Match tonight on "Raw." Goldust goes one-on-one with The Blue Blazer, but Steve Blackman ends up getting the last laugh after the match when he finally manages to unmask The Blazer! Later on, Blackman faces Jeff Jarrett in a Guitar-on-a-Pole Match because..... Vince Russo. J.O.B. Squad members Scorpio & Bob Holly go up against Mark Henry & D'Lo Brown, with the highlight being a pre-match promo where "Sexual Chocolate" tells us what happened on the night of his date with Chyna. Val Venis & The Godfather step into the ring with two men who are teaming up for the very first time: Edge & Christian! Plus, a debuting superstar joins The Corporation, The Brood vow to give someone a "bloodbath," and The Rock hilariously mocks the catchphrases of WCW wrestlers! Enjoying the Podcast? December 7th, 1998: It's been a crazy couple of days in the WWF, and Adam from NitroMania is joining the show to break down all of the events! We take a quick detour into the surprisingly eventful UK-only “Capital Carnage” pay-per-view, where Jim Ross unfortunately suffers a personal tragedy, Vince McMahon gets uncomfortably racist, and the WWF gives us its first ever instance of intentional female nudity! After that, we delve into a controversial episode of “Monday Night Raw” where The Undertaker continues to escalate his mind games against “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. And to even further build up the rivalry, "Stone Cold" must team with Mankind to face 'Taker & The Rock in the main event. After several weeks of being courted by The Corporation, The New Age Outlaws appear to have given in to the temptation to sell out. Commissioner Shawn Michaels then forces remaining DX members Triple-H & X-Pac to face Ken Shamrock & The Big Boss Man in an Anything Goes Match. The Godfather & Val Venis team up once again to face a team which is making their “Monday Night Raw” debut: The Acolytes. After allegedly being away from wrestling for the past two months, Owen Hart “comes out of retirement” to face Goldust. With Chyna looking on, Mark Henry squares off with Droz.... but whose side is "The Ninth Wonder of the World" on? Gangrel & Edge face The Headbangers in a short match which somehow ends up being completely overbooked. D'Lo Brown takes on 2018 WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett in a heel vs. heel match-up. Steve Blackman goes one-on-one with Tiger Ali Singh in a match which surprisingly ends up being a one-sided squash. Enjoying the Podcast? November 30th, 1998: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin wants payback on The Undertaker for his actions over the past few weeks, and he enlists an unlikely ally to help him do it. Unfortunately for Paul Bearer, this results in him being thrown into a very undesirable location. Chyna agrees to go on a date with Mark Henry in order to get him to drop his sexual harassment lawsuit against her, but is "The Ninth Wonder of the World" actually warming up to Mark's advances? In a non-title match, WWF Champion The Rock goes one-on-one with Al Snow because he only steps into the ring with the best of the best. Mankind is forced to defend his coveted Hardcore Title against The Big Boss Man in what is only the sixth ever Ladder Match in WWF history. After last week's swerve, X-Pac calls out new WWF Commissioner Shawn Michaels, which results in HBK forcing him to defend his European Title tonight against Ken Shamrock. Gangrel & Edge team up to take on Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws, who are still being recruited to join The Corporation. Goldust steps into the ring with Jeff Jarrett as the "retired" Owen Hart looks on from ringside. A disgruntled Marc Mero puts his career on the line against -- of all people -- Duane Gill, but the Light Heavyweight Champion has some back-up in the form of a debuting weirdo from ECW. Val Venis takes on Tiger Ali Singh in a match which ends up being horrendously overbooked despite the fact that it only lasts for about three minutes. Shane McMahon forces WWF Women's Champion Sable to return to her roots and model WWF merchandise, and this particular product is rather unusual. Plus, a popular wrestler makes a surprise return, The Blue Blazer unmasks himself, and a 22-year-old Stephanie McMahon makes a random appearance backstage! Meanwhile over in WCW, Hulk Hogan retires from wrestling just a month before "Starrcade" in order to run for President of the United States. Enjoying the Podcast? November 23rd, 1998: Sgt. Slaughter has decided to step down from his commissioner role, so Vince McMahon appoints a replacement: the returning Shawn Michaels! However, that may prove to be the wrong decision for Mr. McMahon as HBK's first order of business is to schedule "The Corporate Champion" The Rock to defend his WWF Title against X-Pac! "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is hospitalized with a concussion after being hit with a shovel by The Undertaker last week, and The Dead Man then proceeds to continue his carnage by abducting Austin from the medical facility. Mankind is ordered to defend his beloved Hardcore Title in a Triple Threat Match against Corporation members Ken Shamrock and The Big Boss Man. In a non-title match, WWF Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws go head-to-head with J.O.B. Squad members Bob Holly & Scorpio. Edge & Gangrel square off with D'Lo Brown & Mark Henry in what turns out to be a very solid heel vs. heel match. And speaking of The Brood, WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Christian puts his title on the line against ultimate underdog Duane Gill. Goldust faces "Marvelous" Marc Mero while each man's former valet looks on from ringside. Steve Blackman steps into the ring with The Blue Blazer.... but who is inside the costume? The Headbangers take on Oddities members Kurrgan & Golga as The Insane Clown Posse proceed to make their presence felt from ringside. The Godfather is scheduled to face Tiger Ali Singh, but a pre-match interruption from an angry Steven Regal may change those plans. Plus, Chyna tries to put an end to the sexual harassment lawsuit which was filed against her, a leaf-blower is used as a weapon by multiple people, and Kane makes a surprise appearance! In one of the more infamous segments in the history of "Raw," Road Warrior Hawk climbs the TitanTron and threatens to kill himself on live television as Animal, Droz, and Paul Ellering attempt to calm him down. X-Pac & The New Age Outlaws team up to battle The Oddities, whose alliance with The Insane Clown Posse may be coming to an end. WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock calls out The Big Boss Man because he has cost Shamrock several matches over the past few weeks. The unlikely pairing of Goldust & Steve Blackman join forces to take on Jeff Jarrett & The Blue Blazer.... but who exactly is inside the Blazer costume? Val Venis steps into the ring with Mark Henry, although "The World's Strongest Man" appears to be more interested in the returning Chyna. The Godfather and Steven Regal are scheduled to have a match, but "The Real Man's Man" may not be able to pass up the pimp's offer to spend the night with three of his finest hoes. November 9th, 1998: Last week, Vince McMahon stripped The Rock of his #1 contendership and removed him from the WWF Title Tournament at this Sunday's "Survivor Series" pay-per-view. This week, the chairman is allowing The Rock to earn his way back into the tourney if he can defeat Mark Henry..... but if he loses, "The People's Champion" is fired from the company! "Stone Cold" Steve Austin calls out The Big Boss Man, who also has his sights set on Shane McMahon. The Undertaker steps into the ring with X-Pac, but the highlight is a post-match encounter with Kane where "The Big Red Machine" shoots a fireball out of his glove! And speaking of Kane, he looks to cause even more fire-related mayhem later in the night when he goes up against Edge. We get the first ever WWF Hardcore Championship match as Mankind proudly defends his title against his bitter rival Ken Shamrock. Steve Blackman goes one-on-one with Val Venis, and "The Big Valbowski" proceeds to tell us the reason why he could not possibly be the father of Terri Runnels' child. "The Road Dogg" Jesse James, D'Lo Brown, and Headbanger Mosh do battle in a surprisingly entertaining triple threat match with the aforementioned Shane McMahon acting as the referee. Goldust takes on Jeff Jarrett while the mischievous Debra McMichael seeks to make her presence felt. Al Snow is scheduled to face Tiger Ali Singh, but the Indian aristocrat volunteers a replacement for himself. Plus, Vince McMahon appears to be grooming Mankind to become his corporate champion, The Blue Blazer continues to interfere in other peoples' affairs, and we get a titillating montage of Sable working out! Meanwhile in the political arena, a former wrestler/commentator shocks the world and becomes the governor of Minnesota! Enjoying the Podcast? November 2nd, 1998: After being humiliated by his son Shane last week, Vince McMahon sets out to establish his dominance by bullying wrestlers, commentators, and even a random celebrity backstage! Ken Shamrock puts his Intercontinental Title on the line against The Rock and, if "The People's Champ" doesn't become the actual champ, he will no longer be the #1 contender to the WWF Title. The New Age Outlaws & X-Pac team up to face the newly-formed stable which we now know is called The Brood. Mankind & Al Snow unite for the second week in a row to take on Oddities members Kurrgan & Golga. And speaking of Mankind, Mr. McMahon briefly pauses his reign of terror to give Mick Foley a special gift: the brand new WWF Hardcore Title! The still-injured Dan Severn confronts Owen Hart and accuses him of being The Blue Blazer, but Severn may be in for a surprise by the time the night is over. Val Venis goes one-on-one with Jeff Jarrett in a rematch from the previous night's episode of "Sunday Night Heat." The Headbangers square off against D'Lo Brown & Mark Henry, with the winning team getting a shot at The Outlaws' WWF Tag Team Titles. Road Warrior Hawk is scheduled to face fellow Legion of Doom member Droz.... but it appears that Hawk's personal demons have resurfaced. And on a related note, Steven Regal (who appears to be legitimately intoxicated) debuts his "Real Man's Man" gimmick on "Raw" against a mystery opponent. Plus, Kane goes on a rampage, a steel cage is mysteriously hanging over the ring, and Terri Runnels has a very special announcement! Meanwhile on NBC, the nation's top television network airs a primetime special that reveals the quote-unquote "secrets" of pro wrestling, including one type of elderly fan that you may not expect... October 26th, 1998: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is still technically fired from the WWF, but Vince McMahon's son Shane goes behind his back to bring "The Rattlesnake" back to the company! In the main event, Austin then squares off with WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock in an "I Quit" Match. The newly-face-turned Kane goes one-on-one against Gangrel, with the highlight being the post-match formation of a new gothic stable. Real-life best friends Mankind & Al Snow unite to challenge The New Age Outlaws for their WWF Tag Team Titles. In a match you probably thought you'd never see (or even want to see), The Rock steps into the ring with Darren Drozdov. WWF European Champion X-Pac faces Steve Blackman, but the returning Steven Regal appears to have an issue with a non-European holding the belt. The four members of Kaientai team up to do battle with Kurrgan, Golga, and (in their only "Raw" match ever) The Insane Clown Posse! The Godfather and Tiger Ali Singh have a terrible match that causes the fans to tune them out and start doing The Wave. "Marvelous" Marc Mero goes head-to-head with Goldust, who is wrestling his first match on "Raw" in almost a year. Plus, Motley Crue stops by the WWF to perform their song "Wild Side" and their bodyguard Test proceeds to dispatch an unruly fan. Meanwhile over in WCW, a pay-per-view mishap results in the company having to give away the "Halloween Havoc" main event for free on "Nitro." This results in a new television ratings record for a wrestling match, but the fans' long-term trust in WCW may have eroded to the point that they will never recover... Enjoying the Podcast? October 19th, 1998: Last night at "Judgment Day," Vince McMahon fired "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for refusing to award the WWF Title to a new champion. Tonight on "Raw," Austin seeks to get revenge on the chairman by taking him hostage and seemingly threatening to murder him on live television! The Undertaker reunites with Paul Bearer to form what he calls his Ministry of Darkness, and Bearer proceeds to tell Kane that he has no use for him anymore. "The Big Red Machine" then responds by challenging his older brother to a Casket Match tonight on "Raw!" With The Nation of Domination having shockingly broken up last week, The Rock steps into the ring with his former stablemate D'Lo Brown. New WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock faces new WWF European Champion X-Pac as Chyna looks on.... until police officers show up to arrest her. Mankind squares off with Val Venis, and "The Big Valbowski" later appears to have a falling out with Terri Runnels over some sort of secret she tells him. Steve Blackman goes up against Jeff Jarrett, who now has a new valet in his corner: Debra McMichael! The Headbangers step into the ring with Animal & Droz while L.O.D.'s "alternate" Hawk provides support from ringside. Plus, a WWF Title tournament is announced for "Survivor Series," The Blue Blazer makes his presence felt once again, and Tiger Ali Singh challenges a fan to swallow an entire kielbasa! October 12th, 1998: Vince McMahon foolishly drives his own Corvette to the arena, which he ends up paying for when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up driving a cement truck. Later on, Vince and Austin have a face-to-face confrontation where the chairman threatens to fire "Stone Cold" if he does not award the WWF Title to The Undertaker or Kane at this Sunday's "Judgment Day" pay-per-view. And if that wasn't enough, Mr. McMahon schedules a star-studded main event: The Brothers of Destruction vs. "Stone Cold" & The Rock! With Triple-H injured and unable to defend his WWF Intercontinental Title, he has now been stripped of the belt and a new champion will be crowned tonight in an eight-man tournament! The first round match-ups are: Ken Shamrock vs. Steve Blackman, Val Venis vs. Marc Mero, Mankind vs. Mark Henry, and X-Pac vs. Jeff Jarrett, with the winners facing each other later on in the show. The newly reunited New Age Outlaws put their WWF Tag Team Titles on the line against Animal & Droz, while L.O.D.'s new "alternate" Hawk joins the commentary team. Three superstars return to the WWF on this night: Goldust has his promised "world premiere," a masked superhero from the late-1980's interferes, and Vince McMahon has a new nightstick-wielding head of security. Plus, Paul Bearer appears for the first time in seven weeks, Mr. Socko makes his in-ring debut, and we witness the shocking end of The Nation of Domination! Meanwhile over on "Nitro," Rick Steiner argues with a talking puppet from a horror movie (yes, seriously). Enjoying the Podcast? E-mail us at rawattitudepodcast@gmail.com or Tweet us @RawAttitudePod! October 5th, 1998: It's a wild night in the WWF, and Bill from Tooning Japanese is joining the Podcast to discuss all of the craziness! After having his leg broken by The Brothers of Destruction last week, Vince McMahon is now confined to a hospital bed where he receives several unwelcome visitors. In particular, one of his guests introduces us to a new character, who goes on to become the most popular sock-puppet in wrestling history. In a stellar main event, The Undertaker steps into the ring with The Rock while Kane looks on nearby. "The Big Red Machine" also has a match of his own tonight as he does battle with the no-longer-fan-friendly Ken Shamrock. X-Pac defends his European Title against D'Lo Brown in a rematch from two weeks ago. Mark Henry squares off with "The Road Dogg" Jesse James, who has seemingly replaced his partner Billy Gunn with an inflatable sex doll. Owen Hart is scheduled to wrestle Edge, but "The Black Hart" appears to be too distraught to compete after injuring Dan Severn last week. Val Venis does battle with Gangrel, and then "The Big Valbowski" receives an invitation to Goldust's "world premiere" next week on "Raw." Marc Mero goes one-on-one with Vader in what sadly turns out to be the final televised match of "The Mastodon's" disappointing WWF career. The Headbangers call out The Insane Clown Posse and, when the clowns show up, Mosh and Thrasher proceed to give them a pretty brutal beating, complete with unprotected chair-shots to their painted skulls. Al Snow takes on Jeff Jarrett while Snow's nemesis Commissioner Slaughter makes his presence felt outside of the ring. Plus, Mark Henry sues Chyna for sexual harassment, Steven Regal continues to be manly, and we find out that the mysterious man accompanying Gangrel is Edge's brother Christian! Meanwhile over on "Nitro," we get one of the dumbest segments in wrestling history as Hulk Hogan hallucinates and sees The Warrior in a mirror..... but the viewers at home can see him too. September 28th, 1998: After a shocking turn of events at "Breakdown" last night, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is no longer the WWF Champion! Vince McMahon schedules a ceremony to present the title to the new champion tonight, but "The Rattlesnake" has a surprise in store when he shows up on a very unique vehicle. Later on, Mr. McMahon forces The Undertaker & Kane to compete in a 3-on-2 Handicap Match against The Rock, Mankind, and Ken Shamrock. However, the chairman's pride ends up getting the better of him when he pushes The Brothers of Destruction too far, resulting in a brutal beating at their hands. The New Age Outlaws defend their WWF Tag Team Titles against Southern Justice, but a surprising scuffle may cause one member of DX to leave the group. X-Pac puts his newly-won European Title on the line against Val Venis, with the highlight being the post-match return of a bizarre superstar. And speaking of the European Title, for the first time on "Raw" we get a Six-Man Elimination Match between Edge, Gangrel, D'Lo Brown, Jeff Jarrett, Marc Mero, and Darren Drozdov, with the winner becoming the #1 contender for X-Pac's title next week. Owen Hart faces Dan "The Beast" Severn in a Submission Match, but it ends up being cut short when one of the participants appears to get seriously injured (spoiler: it's not actually a legitimate injury). Mark Henry goes one-on-one against Faarooq with Chyna acting as a completely-not-impartial guest referee. Al Snow takes on Vader in a match which only serves to further destroy the career of "The Mastodon." Oddities members Kurrgan & Golga team up to take on the freshly-heel-turned Headbangers as hometown Detroit natives The Insane Clown Posse make their presence felt during the match. Plus, a full recap of the surprisingly eventful "Breakdown" pay-per-view! September 21st, 1998: With only six days to go until "Breakdown," Vince McMahon books The Brothers of Destruction to face WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and a partner..... if anyone volunteers to join him. The Rock, Mankind, and Ken Shamrock do battle in a Triple Threat Match to determine who will become the #1 contender for the title one week from tonight. For the first time in almost three years, the WWF decides to crown a new Women's Champion, and it will be the winner of the match between Sable and Jacqueline. In order to get a job with the company, Al Snow must defeat Commissioner Slaughter in a contest which is Sarge's specialty: The Boot Camp Match. D'Lo Brown puts his coveted European Title on the line against X-Pac as the rivalry between these two continues to escalate. Owen Hart faces Val Venis as a distraught Dustin Runnels looks on while doing commentary, and Dustin's night then proceeds to get even worse as Val introduces us to his newest movie. Jeff Jarrett goes one-on-one with Billy Gunn, who may have another trick up his sleeve before the night is over. The Oddities and Headbangers are scheduled to face each other, but an interesting turn puts the match in jeopardy. In a rare heel vs. heel tag match, Southern Justice faces The Disciples of Apocalypse, and the outcome of this one makes absolutely zero sense. Plus, Jim Cornette and Shane McMahon (unfortunately) fill in for Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler, and we get a random backstage appearance from Vince Russo! Meanwhile over on "Nitro," The Warrior hangs out with a Brutus Beefcake blow-up doll (yes, seriously)! September 14th, 1998: After two straight lackluster Saturday night episodes of "Raw," the WWF overcompensates in a big way by giving us a TV-MA episode which may be one of the greatest of all-time! Vince McMahon can no longer stand to see "Stone Cold" Steve Austin as the WWF Champion, so he hatches a plan with The Undertaker and Kane to make sure that Austin will lose the title at "Breakdown." However, "Stone Cold" may not even make it that far because the chairman orders him to face "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock in tonight's main event! The Rock bickers with his Nation of Domination stablemates, and then he proceeds to further cement his face turn by going one-on-one with Kane. The Undertaker pledges to finally end his rivalry with Mankind in a No Holds Barred Match where both men are encouraged to bring sledgehammers to the ring. Triple-H defends his newly-won Intercontinental Title for the first time against his bitter rival Owen Hart. In a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, X-Pac & Chyna square off with "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry. Sable and Jacqueline do battle in "Raw's" first ever Evening Gown Match, with the highlight being roughly 850 wardrobe malfunctions from Jackie. Edge and Gangrel go one-on-one in an attempt to settle their rivalry while the commentators continue to play up the notion that these men may have known each other before coming to the WWF. Jeff Jarrett squares off with "Road Dogg" Jesse James in a battle of two former friends from The New Generation Era. Dustin Runnels continues to preach the word of God, but Val Venis has a surprise for him: a new adult video starring someone who is very close to Dustin. Plus, a hilarious vignette proves to us that Steven Regal is quite a manly man, and uncensored breasts are shown on The WWE Network! Meanwhile over on The TNT Network, we get one of the greatest moments in the history of "Nitro" as WCW's most iconic superstar returns to the company after a five-month absence (and the whole thing gets an in-depth analysis here on the Podcast). September 12th, 1998: "Raw" is relegated to a Saturday night for the second week in a row thanks to The U.S. Open, and the WWF responds by intentionally giving us another lackluster show. The Rock has been a hated heel for the past year, but he cuts a promo on tonight's episode where it appears that he maaaaaay be starting to shift his allegiances. In what is somehow the main event for this episode, D-Generation-X battles Kaientai in an eight-man tag match. Edge goes one-on-one with the new-look Jeff Jarrett, who continues to advise his opponents not to piss him off. Southern Justice squares off with Too Much in a rare heel-vs.-heel tag team affair. D'Lo Brown & Mark Henry team up to face The Headbangers, and Thrasher proceeds to make some uncomfortably racist comments about "The World's Strongest Man." The Oddities do battle with The D.O.A., but this epic encounter is marred by a legitimate technical fuck-up during the match. Vader steps into the ring with Dustin Runnels, who ends up getting a bit too distracted by his new nemesis Val Venis. In a rematch of their Brawl-For-All fight from a few weeks ago, Bradshaw goes up against Darren Drozdov. Marc Mero takes on Miguel Perez in a match which probably would be a better fit on "Shotgun Saturday Night" instead of "Raw Saturday Night." Plus, the WWF decides to kill some time by re-showing a match from "SummerSlam" and Al Snow (unfortunately) makes an appearance! Enjoying the Podcast? August 30th / September 5th, 1998: The Highway To Hell stops here because it is finally time for "SummerSlam 1998!" And for a pay-per-view this massive, we needed to enlist a special guest: New Blood Rising Podcast host William Renken! What happens at "SummerSlam" and the following Saturday night episode of "Raw"? Join us and find out! "SummerSlam 1998" Card: WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. The Undertaker WWF Intercontinental Champion The Rock vs. Triple-H in a Ladder Match WWF Tag Team Champion Mankind (without Kane) defends his title(s?) against The New Age Outlaws WWF European Champion D'Lo Brown vs. Val Venis Ken Shamrock vs. Owen Hart in a Lion's Den Match Jeff Jarrett vs. X-Pac in a Hair vs. Hair Match Marc Mero & Jacqueline vs. Sable & a mystery partner The Oddities vs. Kaientai September 5th, 1998 "Saturday Night Raw": Vince McMahon comes up with an evil scheme to get the WWF Title taken off his arch-nemesis, and that plan apparently includes making The Undertaker and Kane incredibly angry throughout the entire night. The New Age Outlaws defend their newly-won Tag Team Titles against The Rock & Mark Henry, but Chyna seeks to make The Nation pay for their actions last week on "Raw." D'Lo Brown puts his European Title on the line against X-Pac in a precursor to what will become a pretty solid feud throughout the fall of 1998. In a match which somehow main events this show, the new-look Jeff Jarrett goes head-to-head with Scorpio. Val Venis squares off with Vader because you can never have too many V's. The Oddities go up against L.O.D. 2000 and Droz, but Hawk's personal demons continue to plague him. Ken Shamrock & Steve Blackman have apparently patched up their differences, so they unite to face The Disciples of Apocalypse. Edge takes on Marc Mero while the commentators continue to speculate about Edge's past with Gangrel. Southern Justice do battle with The Headbangers because these are apparently two of the strongest tag teams on the roster at the moment. Too Much and Los Boricuas have a match, but the most noteworthy aspect of it is the fact that Jesus Castillo is wearing atrocious dad jeans. Tiger Ali Singh continues his humiliation of greedy Americans by having a sardine-chomping Babu make out with a young woman from the crowd. Plus, Al Snow gets a sitdown interview with Jim Ross despite the fact that he and Head are supposed to be gone from the company. Enjoying the Podcast? August 24th, 1998: It's the go-home episode of "Raw" before "Summerslam," and some major developments are occurring on The Highway To Hell. After months of speculation as to whether or not The Undertaker and Kane are in cahoots, we finally get our answer: The Brothers of Destruction have united for the first time! The Undertaker confronts WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin six days before their title match, but Vince McMahon interjects and asks The Dead Man an important question: is he a friend to the chairman or a foe? Meanwhile, Kane's tag team partner Mankind wants to resolve their differences tonight...... inside Hell in a Cell! In a rather uncomfortable promo, The Rock confronts Chyna and basically threatens her with sexual assault (the star of "Baywatch" likely won't want to re-watch this segment anytime soon). The WWF finally pulls the trigger on a Ken Shamrock / Dan Severn match, but it disappointingly goes for less than three minutes. The Brawl For All comes to a long overdue conclusion with the championship bout: Bart Gunn vs. Bradshaw (and let's just say that I hope someone will send footage of this fight to Mauro Ranallo). Val Venis goes head-to-head with Taka Michinoku in what proves to be the final encounter in this epic(?) feud. The New Age Outlaws square off with Southern Justice, although the match is almost completely ignored due to Jeff Jarrett's antics outside the ring. X-Pac battles Gangrel as Edge continues to take an interest in the WWF's creepy new superstar. Kurrgan goes one-on-one with Marc Mero, who requests that the rest of The Oddities be banned from ringside. Plus, we get an appearance from Shawn Michaels, a wrestler gets his boots filled with piss, and Hawk provides us with some drunk kayfabe-killing commentary! Enjoying the Podcast? August 17th, 1998: With only two weeks to go before "Summerslam," WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin wants a piece of The Undertaker tonight, and he warns Vince McMahon not to stand in his way. D-Generation-X and The Nation of Domination do battle in a Street Fight, which results in one of the wrestlers being badly beaten and bloodied. Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn, and Owen Hart compete in a Triple Threat Match, but one of them decides to conserve his energy by letting the other two fight each other. Val Venis runs the gauntlet against all four members of Kaientai and, if he is victorious against them, he gets five minutes alone with Mr. Yamaguchi-San. "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher squares off with an unusual superstar who is making his "Raw" debut (hint: he has an awesome theme song and entrance). Sable and Jacqueline compete in an Arm Wrestling Match, but Jackie does not seem to be all that interested in making it a fair contest. Bart Gunn takes on The Godfather in our first Brawl For All semifinal, and this results in one of them almost being decapitated by a punch. In the second Brawl For All semifinal, Bradshaw goes up against plucky underdog Darren Drozdov. Scorpio & Faarooq battle The Disciples of Apocalypse, but the match ends up being overshadowed by something more interesting that is happening outside of the ring. Tiger Ali Singh continues to prove that Americans will do anything for money in a segment which may be one of the most disgusting in WWF history. Plus, Al Snow and Head (unfortunately) return to television, Edge takes an interest in a particular wrestler, and "President Bill Clinton" calls into the show! Meanwhile over on "Nitro," we get the WCW debut of a former WWF Champion, and his appearance almost single-handedly causes "Nitro" to slaughter "Raw" in the ratings! Enjoying the Podcast? August 10th, 1998: WWF Tag Team Champions "Stone Cold" Steve Austin & The Undertaker put their belts on the line in a massive Four Corners Match against Kane & Mankind, The New Age Outlaws, and The Rock & Owen Hart. Val Venis is joined by (ugh) John Wayne Bobbitt so he can explain what happened last week when Mr. Yamaguchi-San attempted to "choppy-choppy his pee-pee." The tension within D-Generation-X continues to mount, and all five members of the group may decide that they would be better off if there was a "DX Split." Jeff Jarrett has now ditched Tennessee Lee as well as his country singer gimmick, and he debuts his newest weapon: a guitar with the phrase "Don't Piss Me Off" written on it. L.O.D. 2000 is scheduled to face Southern Justice, but Hawk's personal demons resurface and put the match in jeopardy. The Brawl For All continues with two more match-ups that no one cares about: Bradshaw vs. Marc Mero and Darren Drozdov vs. Savio Vega. The Godfather and Vader are booked to go head-to-head...... but Vader may opt to spend the night with The Godfather's ladies instead. Luna Vachon faces Jacqueline in what is surprisingly the first one-on-one women's match on "Raw" in several years. Plus, Dustin Runnels issues a statement from his new family-friendly organization Evangelists Against Television, Movies, & Entertainment (wait, how would you abbreviate that?). Meanwhile over in WCW, Jay Leno successfully takes Hulk Hogan to the mat with an armbar! Enjoying the Podcast? E-mail us at rawattitudepodcast@gmail.com or Tweet us @RawAttitudePod! August 3rd, 1998: While Vince McMahon continues to accuse The Undertaker of being in cahoots with his brother, The Dead Man & "Stone Cold" Steve Austin must defend their WWF Tag Team Titles against Nation of Domination co-leaders The Rock & Owen Hart. D-Generation-X's struggles continue as Triple-H and X-Pac are forced to go head-to-head while The New Age Outlaws must do battle with Kane & Mankind. Val Venis & Taka Michinoku team up to take on Togo & Funaki, but a shocking swerve may allow Yamaguchi-San to make good on his promise to "choppy-choppy Val's pee-pee." The WWE Network edits out a segment where Sable helps to repackage The Oddities from angry societal rejects into fun-loving goofballs, but don't worry: all of the details are covered on the Podcast! The Godfather and Scorpio square off in a Brawl For All match-up, with the most noteworthy moment being the debut of The Godfather "making an offer you can't refuse." Hawk issues an apology for showing up intoxicated on "Raw" last week, and then he goes one-on-one with the slumping Jeff Jarrett. D'Lo Brown defends his European Title against Dan "The Beast" Severn as the WWF continues to tease a Severn/Ken Shamrock match despite the fact that Shamrock is already booked to face Owen Hart at "Summerslam." Indian aristocrat Tiger Ali Singh returns to the WWF and attempts to prove that Americans will do just about anything for money. Plus, Edge makes another surprise appearance and Triple-H shills for Stridex! Meanwhile over on "Nitro," Eric Bischoff continues to parody "The Tonight Show" to the delight of no one, and a cameraman zooms in on one of the most offensive signs in wrestling history! August 2nd, 1998: Not only is it the debut episode of "Sunday Night Heat," but it's also the debut of Shane McMahon in a full-time on-camera capacity! WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin gives us his thoughts on his uneasy alliance with The Undertaker as we continue to build up to their match at "Summerslam." Kane & Mankind battle Nation of Domination co-leaders The Rock & Owen Hart for the right to earn a Tag Team Title shot the next night on "Monday Night Raw." D-Generation-X members Triple-H and X-Pac tell us that DX is as strong as ever despite their recent struggles, and Hunter gets some more planted fans in the crowd to show their breasts. D'Lo Brown defends his European Title against Ken Shamrock while Dan "The Beast" Severn further antagonizes "The World's Most Dangerous Man." Val Venis continues to enjoy the company of Mrs. Yamaguchi-San despite the threat of getting his pee-pee chopped, and then, for some reason, he gets into a confrontation with former "Saved By The Bell" star Mario Lopez. Edge returns to the ring after a six-week absence and goes one-on-one with Jeff Jarrett, who appears to be losing his patience with Tennessee Lee. We take another journey into "Droz's World," where Darren Drozdov regales us with the story of how he surprised Mark Henry by puking on him during training. Droz and The Headbangers then square off with Kaientai in six-man tag team action. Plus, Bart Gunn's Brawl-For-All victory over "Dr. Death" earns him the right to hang out with one of the stars of The USA Network's terrible show "Pacific Blue." Meanwhile on this same night, a recently fired WWF valet makes her debut on ECW's similarly-named "Heatwave" pay-per-view. Enjoying the Podcast? July 27th, 1998: It's the night after "Fully Loaded," which means we are now officially counting down the days until an epic "Summerslam!" New Tag Team Champions "Stone Cold" Steve Austin & The Undertaker must defend their titles against The New Age Outlaws just 24 hours after winning them. In an awesomely evil promo, Vince McMahon reminds Sable that she only has a job in the WWF thanks to him being her "knight in shining armor." The Rock puts his Intercontinental Title on the line in a Triple Threat Match against DX members Triple-H and X-Pac. Val Venis faces "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher, but the bigger highlight is a post-match promo from Yamaguchi-San that provides us with one of the greatest soundbites in wrestling history. L.O.D. 2000 take on Mark Henry & The Godfather, and this match is surprisingly noteworthy for two reasons: Hawk appears to be intoxicated and The Godfather now has some lovely ladies accompanying him to the ring. In a Brawl For All fight for the ages, Bart Gunn squares off with "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, which results in one of their careers being completely destroyed. Owen Hart issues an open challenge to anyone in the locker room, but he receives quite the shock when his arch-nemesis Jason Sensation shows up. Proud European Champion D'Lo Brown goes head-to-head with Vader in a non-title match. The Disciples of Apocalypse face the undefeated team of Faarooq & Scorpio because sometimes you just need to kill a few minutes of TV time. German bodybuilder Brakus quickly beats up a jobber, and then he is thankfully never seen again. Plus, JBL makes his commentary debut, we go inside "Droz's World," and the WWF teases a match between former UFC competitors Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn! Meanwhile over on "Nitro," Goldberg cuts his first ever in-ring promo, Eric Bischoff continues to be a terrible late night host, and WCW re-shows the entire 24-minute "Bash at the Beach" main event on free TV! We're back, Questionable Endeavor fans! This is episode two of our monthly cross-promotional podcast, aptly named Questionable Endeavor. This time around Andy (Shadowvane & Tooning Japanese), Jason (The Rundown), and Troy (Geek & Gamer Guild & Slasher Sanitarium) talk about The Walking Dead! WARNING: There are tons of spoilers! Visit http://www.QuestEndNetwork.com for more information on all our podcasts, articles, and live streams.
July 20th, 1998: Not only is this the go-home episode of "Raw" before "Fully Loaded," but it's also the first TV-MA episode in our timeline! Fed up with The Undertaker's defiance, Vince McMahon orders him to compete in a Handicap Match against WWF Tag Team Champions Kane & Mankind. However, when 'Taker refuses to show up for the match, Mr. McMahon swaps in WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in his place. We get two title matches pitting The Nation and DX against each other: The Rock defends his Intercontinental Title against X-Pac and Triple-H puts his European Title on the line against D'Lo Brown. Jim Ross's pal "Dr. Death" Steve Williams makes his WWF debut in The Brawl For All against Quebecer Pierre, who J.R. insists will be tough competition despite the fact that he only has one eye. Because she dishonored him by starring in one of Val Venis's films, Yamaguchi-San seeks to punish his wife by paddling her ass like a fraternity pledge. Sable and Jacqueline's war of words continues, and Jackie then helpfully removes Sable's hideous-looking dress for her. Jeff Jarrett squares off with Steve Blackman, who awesomely enlists former UFC fighters Ken Shamrock and Dan "The Beast" Severn as his back-up. Owen Hart proves he's one of the best wrestlers in the world by miraculously managing to get a serviceable match out of Faarooq. L.O.D. 2000 member Animal is scheduled to face Skull from The D.O.A., but there appears to be some confusion when Hawk does not accompany his tag team partner to the ring. Plus, Shawn Michaels returns to the commentary table, the 8-Ball/Scorpio Brawl For All fight gets relegated to the pre-show, and Edge makes a surprise in-ring appearance that the cameraman completely misses. Also, Triple-H gets a woman in the crowd to show her breasts, which almost causes Jerry "The King" Lawler to have an on-air heart attack 14 years too early. Enjoying the Podcast? July 13th, 1998: With the WWF officially on The Highway To Hell, we had to bring in Lee Carlos Cunningham from The Raw Is Nitro Podcast to help break down one of his all-time favorite periods in wrestling! The Undertaker is now the #1 contender for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's WWF Title, but seemingly everyone wants to know one thing: are The Undertaker and Kane in cahoots with each other? As for Kane, he teams with Mankind to take on The New Age Outlaws in a match for the WWF Tag Team Titles. After being off television for the past three-and-a-half months, Shawn Michaels surprisingly returns and proceeds to use some naughty language on commentary. Nation of Domination co-leaders The Rock & Owen Hart team up to take on DX members Triple-H & X-Pac. The Brawl For All somehow continues with two more match-ups: Dan "The Beast" Severn vs. The Godfather and Bart Gunn vs. Bob Holly. In six-man tag team action, Taka Michinoku aligns with Too Much to battle Kaientai, but Val Venis makes his presence felt by providing a special surprise for Yamaguchi-San. Marc Mero goes one-on-one against Steve Blackman, although the Sable / Jacqueline rivalry overshadows them both. Plus, Jason Sensation joins the announce team to share some more wrestling impersonations with the world, but that may prove to be a mistake on his part. Enjoying the Podcast? July 6th, 1998: The Undertaker, Kane, and Mankind all feel that they should be the #1 contender for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's WWF Championship, so Vince McMahon puts them into a triple threat match to determine who will get the title shot. In one of the more famous moments in Attitude Era history, D-Generation-X dresses up as The Nation of Domination because blackface is apparently still acceptable in 1998. The Brawl For All continues with two more match-ups: Hawk vs. Droz and Savio Vega vs. Brakus (who you probably never knew existed). Ken Shamrock squares off with Jeff Jarrett, but a former King of the Ring surprisingly returns and seeks to injure "The World's Most Dangerous Man." The Headbangers face The Disciples of Apocalypse, who are now led by their new manager Paul Ellering. Val Venis takes on Dustin Runnels, but Kaientai and Yamaguchi-San are looking to make Val pay for flirting with Mrs. Yamaguchi-San last week. Hardcore legend Terry Funk wrestles his last ever match on "Monday Night Raw" against the chest-protector-wearing D'Lo Brown. Sable and Jacqueline get into a "Jerry Springer"-esque war of words, and Jackie decides that the only way for them to settle their feud is with a bikini contest at "Fully Loaded." Vader goes one-on-one with Bradshaw in a match-up that would have been 1,000 times more entertaining if it had taken place in The Brawl For All. Meanwhile over on the TNT Network, WCW pulls off perhaps the biggest "Nitro" in history as Hulk Hogan defends his WCW World Heavyweight Championship against the undefeated Goldberg in front of 41,000 fans at The Georgia Dome! June 28th / 29th, 1998: So many noteworthy moments happened at "King of the Ring 1998" and the "Raw" afterwards that we had to have Adam from The Rundown Wrestling Podcast join the show to help break it all down! "King of the Ring 1998" Card: WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Kane in a First Blood Match (if Kane loses, he must set himself on fire) The Undertaker vs. Mankind in a Hell in a Cell Match (we go in-depth on this one!) Ken Shamrock vs. Jeff Jarrett / The Rock vs. Dan Severn, with the winners facing each other in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament WWF Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws vs. The New Midnight Express Owen Hart vs. X-Pac Al Snow & Head vs. Too Much w/special guest referee Jerry "The King" Lawler (if Al wins he gets a meeting with Vince McMahon, but if he loses he is gone from the WWF) The Headbangers & Taka Michinoku vs. Kaientai June 29th, 1998 "Monday Night Raw": With last night's First Blood Match ending in suspicious circumstances, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin requests a rematch against Kane for the WWF Title...... and The Big Red Machine surprisingly accepts! The WWF debuts a brand new, ill-advised tournament of legitimate fights called The Brawl For All, and our first two contests are Steve Blackman vs. Marc Mero and Bradshaw vs. Mark Canterbury. We get a Triple Threat "King of Kings Match" between reigning King of the Ring Ken Shamrock and former Kings of the Ring Triple-H and Owen Hart (spoiler: despite it being called "King of Kings," the winner of the match may not be who you think!). Darren Drozdov goes one-on-one against a man making his WWF debut: Steven Regal! L.O.D. 2000 seek to reverse their losing streak by bringing back their long-time manager "Precious" Paul Ellering, but their mentor has an unexpected surprise for them. Val Venis takes on Kaientai member Dick Togo, although Val appears to be more interested in Yamaguchi-San's wife. Plus, Vince McMahon gives a warning to The Undertaker, Dustin Runnels continues to preach the word of God, and Sable refuses to tell us about her new role in the company. Enjoying the Podcast? June 22nd, 1998: It's the go-home show before the incredible "King of the Ring 1998," but matches and stipulations are still being added! Vince McMahon tells us that the WWF Title match between "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Kane will be a First Blood Match, and Kane then speaks for the first time in 20 years to announce what he will do to himself if he loses. Later, Kane takes on "Road Dogg" Jesse James while his tag team partner Mankind squares off with Billy Gunn. After seven straight weeks of bizarre vignettes, Edge finally debuts on "Raw" against Los Boricuas member Jose Estrada............ but the match does not quite go as planned. The King of the Ring tournament continues with four quarterfinal matches: Ken Shamrock vs. Mark Henry, Jeff Jarrett vs. Marc Mero, Owen Hart vs. Dan "The Beast" Severn, and (awesomely) The Rock vs. Triple-H! An injured Paul Bearer is interviewed live via satellite from his house, but his own home may not even be a safe enough sanctuary to protect him from the wrath of The Undertaker. X-Pac goes one-on-one with Dustin Runnels in a match where the heel and face roles appear to be reversed. Jerry "The King" Lawler may finally be willing to grant Al Snow a meeting with Vince McMahon, but Al and Head will first need to defeat a tag team of Lawler's choosing at "King of the Ring." Plus, Sable has apparently been given some sort of executive position within the WWF and Mick Foley reminds us all of the fact that he used to be amazing at cutting promos. Meanwhile over on "Nitro," WCW is bringing in NBA and NFL stars to help them try and compete with "Raw." Enjoying the Podcast? E-mail us at rawattitudepodcast@gmail.com or Tweet us @RawAttitudePod! June 15th, 1998: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin accuses Vince McMahon of masterminding the attack on him last week, but The Boss instead points the finger at an unlikely culprit. Paul Bearer then challenges Austin and The Undertaker to face Kane and Mankind tonight.......... inside Hell in a Cell! We get the first ever Tag Team Royal Rumble, with the winning team becoming the #1 contenders for The New Age Outlaws' WWF Tag Team Titles. In a King of the Ring qualifying match, The Rock goes one-on-one with the criminally misused Vader. In the second KOTR qualifier, we get a very interesting match-up as DX members Triple-H and X-Pac are forced to go head-to-head! A newly religious Dustin Runnels faces Marc Mero, who gets quite a big surprise when Mr. McMahon reinstates the previously fired Sable. Owen Hart & Mark Henry team up to do battle with former UFC competitors / awesome bad-asses Ken Shamrock & Dan "The Beast" Severn. Val Venis takes on Chainz in what turns out to be the final WWF match for the leader of The Disciples of Apocalypse. "Double-J" Jeff Jarrett squares off with Darren Drozdov (perhaps he should be called "Double-D"?). Avatar makes his return to the WWF to confront Jerry "The King" Lawler over the fact that Al Snow still has not gotten the meeting which was promised to him. Plus, we get our final Edge vignette before his debut next week, and an underwhelming tag team makes its final appearance on "Raw." June 8th, 1998: Thanks to his charitable endeavors, Vince McMahon will be honored with a Humanitarian of the Year Award, and he's feeling so generous that he even invites "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to join the ceremony. However, The Undertaker is still looking to have a face-to-face conversation with the boss, and he's willing to disrupt "Raw" as much as possible in order to get what he wants. "Summerslam" will take place in New York City two months from now, so the WWF sent D-Generation-X out into the streets of The Big Apple, where Triple-H proceeds to bust out several offensive accents. Later in the night, The New Age Outlaws are ordered to defend their WWF Tag Team Titles against L.O.D. 2000 and The Disciples of Apocalypse in a Triple Threat Match, but the Outlaws hatch a brilliant plan to get the better of their opponents. In our first King of the Ring Qualifying Match, Ken Shamrock takes on Kama, whose Nation of Domination pals are banned from ringisde. In our second qualifier, Owen Hart goes one-on-one with Scorpio in what turns out to be a very solid match. And in our third qualifier, Dan "The Beast" Severn squares off with D'Lo Brown, with the finish of the match being the launching point for D'Lo's rise to prominence in the WWF. Jeff Jarrett & Marc Mero team up to face the opponents they each beat last week: Faarooq & Steve Blackman. Val Venis takes on Dustin Runnels, who is making his first apperance on "Raw" in three weeks. Mark Henry and Vader go head-to-head in an attempt to figure out who is the biggest 400-pound jobber on the roster. Darren Drozdov has a match with Chainz because, well, sometimes you just have to fill three minutes of TV time. Plus, Al Snow continues to seek a meeting with Vince McMahon, we get an Edge vignette which provides the audio for his future theme music, and Sable gets a tribute video because she is most definitely gone from the WWF forever. June 1st, 1998: It's the night after "Over the Edge," and things continue to get even crazier in the WWF! For the first time ever, The Undertaker breaks his "Dead Man" character and cuts a worked shoot promo demanding that Vince McMahon give him a shot at the WWF Title. The boss somewhat gives him what he wants as he then schedules a match on "Raw" for the #1 contendership: The Undertaker vs. Kane! D-Generation-X battles The Nation of Domination in a six-man tag team elimination match, but a returning superstar ends up angering both sides. Dude Love was not able to win his title match at "Over the Edge," and this failure may end up costing Mick Foley his job. In our first King of the Ring Qualifying Match of the night, Steve Blackman takes on "Marvelous" Marc Mero, who introduces us to his brand new valet. In our second qualifier, Faarooq goes head-to-head with Jeff Jarrett, who now has a repackaged tag team watching his back. And in our third qualifier, Terry Funk almost kills himself attempting to defeat Mark Henry. L.O.D. 2000 & Droz take on The Disciples of Apocalypse in a Chicago Street Fight, a.k.a. sloppily brawling in an alleyway with a bunch of weapons. Val Venis cuts his first ever in-ring promo (spoiler: it's not very good) and then he goes one-on-one with Papi Chulo. Taka Michinoku defends his Light Heavyweight Championship against the still-employed-by-WWE-in-2016 Funaki. Plus, Vader provides us with the greatest soundbite of his entire career! Meanwhile over on "Nitro," Sting finally tells the world whose side he is on.... but did he make the right choice? Enjoying the Podcast? May 25th, 1998: It's the go-home show before "Over the Edge," and New Blood Rising Podcast host William Renken is joining us to discuss one of his all-time favorite "Raw" moments! Vince McMahon and The Stooges got the upper hand on Steve Austin last week, but "Stone Cold" turns the tables on The Corporation by having the three of them arrested! Later on, Vince seeks to get a measure of revenge by booking Austin in a match against The Undertaker. We awesomely get The Rock and Triple-H going head-to-head on free TV, but Hunter must first complete one more mission in DX's war against WCW. The Disciples of Apocalypse take on L.O.D. 2000 and a debuting mystery partner who has a rather unique talent. The Jackyl introduces us to his new stable of "human oddities," consisting of several bizarre wrestlers and a few members of Howard Stern's Wack Pack. Owen Hart takes on Dan "The Beast" Severn in a match which should have been given a full hour of TV time. Jeff Jarrett squares off with Vader, who Jim Ross unnecessarily mocks on commentary for being overweight. Taka Michinoku battles Kaientai member Dick Togo in a fast-paced, enjoyable match. Faarooq goes one-on-one against Marc Mero, who is still forcing Sable to remain in his corner. Plus, Al Snow continues to seek a meeting with Vince McMahon, Edge's vignettes are getting weirder, and Henry presents a special Top Ten List! Enjoying the Podcast?
