Donald Macleod explores a rich and varied body of music gathered under a single name: Anonymous. Bringing together works whose creators were never recorded, later forgotten or deliberately obscured, the podcast traces how music can circulate and endure without a clear author. With contributions from Professor Lisa Colton and Professor Fay Hield, there is a focus on how anonymous works have been preserved, collected and sometimes reshaped over time, from medieval polyphony and early modern song to folk traditions passed down through generations. Along the way, questions emerge about authorship, ownership and how we listen to music when its origins are uncertain or shared.Music featured includes: Romance Anonimo (arr. Yepes) from Jeux interdits Horn Concerto in E flat major Three Medieval Dances: A que as cousas coitadas; Il Trotto; La Quarte Estampie Royal Shallow Brown Dances from Le Concert Royal de la Nuit (1653) Three Modinhas from 18th Century Portugal Neapolitan Songs: Barcarola napoletana; La favola dell'uccello grifone La Messe de Tournai: Gloria; Credo The Cruel Mother The Bull Ring Vaughan Williams: English Folk Song Suite Three Dances (arr.

In this special edition of The Printerviews, Colin Sinclair McDermott hits the Road to the Rockies to catch up with Emily Yepes from Sandler Training. Emily brings a wealth of experience from the print world, having spent years selling print advertising before moving into sales training and leadership development. Her organisation specialises in helping businesses that cannot sell by price alone, particularly within the print and packaging sectors. This conversation sets the stage for her upcoming appearance at DSCOOP in Denver, focusing on how to evolve sales strategies in a rapidly shifting market. The discussion looks into the psychology of sales, specifically tackling the universal dread of prospecting. Emily explains that while many salespeople feel like a pest, success comes from running toward the problem and taking action despite the fear. They also explore the 'freedom within a framework' approach to sales scripts and the vital role of technology. Looking ahead to 2026, Emily highlights why every sales organisation needs to focus on specific AI use cases like call recording to provide clarity and relief for business leaders. Key Takeaways Strong sales teams require a leadership team that believes in a growth mindset Mid-to-premium printers must sell on value because they will always lose on price Prospecting is the single most important responsibility for new business development You must address prospecting through the three lenses of attitude, behaviour, and technique You do not have to like prospecting, but you must do it to create new results Rejection of a sales conversation is never a personal rejection of you In 2026, B2B sales involve multiple influencers rather than a single decision maker Frameworks provide the freedom to deliver a message through your own personality Leaders should ignore the noise and focus on specific AI use cases for their teams Call recording is a vital tool for both salesperson focus and external coaching

On this episode of #LatinosOutLoud, Rachel La Loca invites Filmmaker, Actor, Producer and friend Sofia Yepes over to hang in the backyard to kick it and talk about Sofia's latest film "The Low End Theory". They chit chat about her projects, as well as motherhood, and the two brave gals bond on a very deep and emotional topic they speak very truthful about. “The Low End Theory” is an official selection of the New York Latino Film Festival, NVISION Latino Film Festival, and GuadaLAjara Film Festival 2024. It won ‘Best Ensemble Cast' at the NVISION Latino Film Festival. Check out the trailer for The Low End Theory HERE The neo noir crime thriller follows a traumatized vet turned ‘Raquel Pacheco' (Sofia Yepes) money launderer who steals from her drug-dealer boss ‘Ulysses' (Eddie Martinez) to pay off debts owed by the beautiful but equally trouble woman ‘Giselle' (Ser Anzoategui) with whom she is having an obsessive affair. The film brings to life representation for Queer people, Latinx artists, and single mothers to the screen. The film also stars: Rene Rosado (ABC's “The Conners”), Scotty Tovar (“Empire”), J.R. Villarreal (“Landman”) and Sidney Flanigan (award winning Focus Features “Never Rarely Sometimes Always”). When not creating multi-dimensional projects in Hollywood, Sofia is equally committed to raising up the voices of single mothers and breaking societal norms. From a humble beginning, John faced hardship early on, losing his father at a young age. Despite these challenges, he pursued a religious life, joining the Carmelite Order in 1563. John met Saint Teresa of Ávila in 1567, and together they sought to reform the Carmelite Order, which led to severe opposition. He suffered imprisonment and harsh treatment but remained steadfast in his faith. Saint John of the Cross is renowned for his profound mystical poetry and spiritual writings, such as "Dark Night of the Soul" and "The Ascent of Mount Carmel." His works explore the soul's journey towards God, emphasizing sacrifice and divine union. Canonized in 1726, his legacy as a mystic and poet endures, still inspiring countless seekers of spiritual depth. Let us know in Facebook what you think about this program!
