Between smashing the first set of tablets because of the Golden Calf and ascending the mountain again to get the second set, Moses spent 40 days in the tent of meeting outside the camp. What was the purpose of that time and what did Moses accomplish? (The song referred to is "The Family of God.")

The Tent of Meeting (Exodus): After the disaster of the golden calf, God put some distance between himself and his people. But Moses continued to meet with God and speak to him face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Moses asked God to go with them, and God agreed. Bud Hance Scripture reference Exodus 33:7-11 Moses Meets With the Lord 7 Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp, far from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of meeting. And it came to pass that everyone who sought the Lord went out to the tabernacle of meeting which was outside the camp. 8 So it was, whenever Moses went out to the tabernacle, that all the people rose, and each man stood at his tent door and watched Moses until he had gone into the tabernacle. 9 And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses. 10 All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door. 11 So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.

The Tabernacle has many components and even more symbolism. We have covered a lot of it in previous videos, but here are some additional thoughts on the Tabernacle. 

The Tabernacle consists of many pieces, the Tent of Meeting is one of the largest. This tent holds some great parallels for the lives of believers, and reminds us of how physical things can teach us spiritual lessons. 

The Tabernacle is made up of many different pieces, or components, the table of showbread is one of them. What is the significance of this table, of the bread, and what was it really like? What may be the spiritual and prophetic implications and meaning of the bread?

The Tabernacle has many components, one of which is the Menorah. What is the menorah? What did it look like, and what purpose did it serve in the Tent of Meeting? Is there any spiritual or even prophetic significance to having a lampstand in the Tabernacle? 

The brazen laver in the Tabernacle is just one of many components required to keep the Tabernacle functioning for the Israelites. Join us in this series as we look at each component, the role it plays in the physical Tabernacle and what it may signify in the spiritual and even prophetic arenas.
