In this powerful message from Pastor Karl, we journey beyond the manger to discover the timeless roots of Christmas in the Garden of Eden. Christmas is far more than a seasonal vibe—it's the profound story of God's unchanging love, revealed through proximity, provision, and loving parameters.Drawing parallels between Eden and Bethlehem, Pastor Karl shows how God has always pursued us: walking closely with humanity, generously providing what we cannot obtain ourselves, and setting protective boundaries for our good. Yet, from the beginning, humanity has often rejected this love, doubting God's goodness and choosing our own way.The heart of the gospel shines through as Pastor Karl reminds us that even in our rejection, God's love pursues and covers us—first promised in Genesis with the crushing of the serpent's head through the seed of the woman, and perfectly fulfilled in the incarnation of Jesus, Emmanuel, "God with us."This message challenges us: Will we embrace not just the warmth of Christmas, but the weighty claims of Christmas—God's call to love Him fully with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength through belonging to His family, becoming like Christ, giving generously, and going on mission?A stirring reminder that God's everlasting love didn't begin in Bethlehem—it was set in motion from the very beginning, for you and me.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 8:00am 9:30am & 11:00am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm
Paul finds himself in trouble yet again because of the gospel. This time he is taken to the formal court of Athens to be judged by the leading religious philosophers regarding this new teaching they think they hear. How will Paul respond? What will be his approach to those who are not schooled in the Scripture in any way?

Fr. Allen Hoffa joins Patrick to discuss Apologetics: How to Defend the Faith What is apologetics? (13:02) John - Question about the blessed mother. Very detailed in 2 gospels. Where did this detailed info come from? Was it primarily dictated from the Blessed Mother? (22:00) Break 2 Duke - How do we know about the afterlife? Does our soul go to heaven or reincarnated? (27:01) Leslie - My son just left the church after several years after trying to convince son to become Catholic. Joined whatever his girlfriend is with. What do you do with that? How do you bring him back? Ed - Cradle Catholic. Recently finding my faith. Went to Catholic school and now reading scripture and bible and getting back to faith. Watching the Chosen and brother was asking me questions. Asked about Jesus being Jewish and why was he Jewish. Trying to talk to people with kindness and love. (36:36) Break 2 How do you approach apologetics with each group of people? (43:47) Mary Lou - I do apologetics a lot as a hairdresser. I was evangelized into the church 'quietly.' 5 people displayed holy, lovely, reverent attitude toward God. I'd have to ask them to give me more. Someone gave me a copy of a Thomas Merton book, and that was it...it was a conversion. Very happy ever since. Margaret-Mary - Now that I'll be 84 in December, this is the time in my life that I live in a Baptist community in NC. I am very proud of my Catholic faith. I'm professing Catholicism as I reach heaven. I was in religious life for 5 years. Was married and have children. Apologetics scared me. I understand it now and the Holy spirit is guiding me now that I have time to listen to RR and discern my faith.
Keeping things simple is usually the best path forward. For Christians, that means following Christ's lead in everything. This includes sharing and standing up for our faith. The Bible is full of examples of how Jesus did this. Occasionally, He got mad, as when He threw out the moneychangers. Other times, He just quietly sat and taught what His Father had shown Him.This is our model. When you share Christ with someone and that person believes, you have been given the privilege of watching the most important moment in his or her life—ever. To get to this moment, it will require you to be knowledgeable about your faith, balanced enough to be gentle in sharing, and sometimes edgy enough to push back when someone mocks our Lord.Jude 1:3 says, “Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people.” God gave us a job to do, and one of his prophets, Jude, told us to be ready to defend the Gospel. This, we should be happy to do.Let's pray.Lord, your wisdom is enough for us. We are always ready to defend the Good News. In Jesus' name. In Jesus' name, amen. Welcome to Worldview Legacy, the podcast that equips Christian men to lead their families with biblical clarity and confidence. In this episode, Joel Settecase joins Dave Wager on the Stand Up for the Truth radio show to discuss the urgent need for apologetics, the biblical defense of the faith, and why every believer must be prepared to give a reason for their hope in Christ.Drawing from 1 Peter 3:15, Joel explains how to respond when skeptics challenge your faith, how to engage both kids and adults with the gospel, and why the Christian worldview alone provides the foundation for logic, morality, science, and meaning.
We live in a day where truth is being denied. There is coming a day where there is going to be an attack on the Church and God's Word. Stand strong and defend the truth of the Word of God.
There's more than one way to do apologetics. In this episode of The Apologetics Guy Show, I talk with Dr. Melissa Cain Travis and Dr. Timothy Paul Jones, co-authors of Understanding Christian Apologetics, about five practical methods Christians can use to explain and defend their faith. We'll unpack the unique strengths of each approach, how they've been used in church history, and what they mean for conversations about the gospel today. The five major approaches to apologetics—Classical, Evidential, Presuppositional, Cultural, and Ecclesial—and why each one matters. How Melissa Cain Travis makes the case for the enduring value of Classical Apologetics in a modern, scientific age. Why Timothy Paul Jones emphasizes Ecclesial Apologetics and the church's lived witness as a defense of the gospel. How different methods complement each other rather than compete, giving you a fuller toolkit for engaging skeptics and seekers.

One Year Bible Podcast: Join Hunter and Heather Barnes on 'The Daily Radio Bible' for a daily 20-minute spiritual journey. Engage with scripture readings, heartfelt devotionals, and collective prayers that draw you into the heart of God's love. Embark on this year-long voyage through the Bible, and let each day's passage uplift and inspire you. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible! On this episode for July 2nd, 2025, join your host Hunter as he guides us through another day in our year-long journey through the Bible. Today, we begin in Isaiah chapters 4 and 5, exploring powerful imagery of both judgment and restoration. We then move into Psalms 115 and 116, where we're reminded to trust in the Lord and to praise Him for his steadfast love and deliverance. The reading finishes in Jude chapter 1, with a call to be vigilant in our faith, build each other up, and to receive more mercy, peace, and love in Christ than we ever thought possible. As always, Hunter leads us in thoughtful reflection, heartfelt prayers, and encouragement to live out God's love daily. Whether you're seeking deeper understanding or simply some peace in your day, you're invited to warm your heart by the fire of God's love and be reminded of the blessings found in His word. So grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and let's journey together through the Scriptures. TODAY'S DEVOTION: You're going to need more—more mercy, more peace, and more love than you think. That's what the book of Jude reminds us today. In this world that is often filled with scoffers, grumblers, liars, and all sorts of trouble, Jude calls out to us: "May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love." And the good news is—He does. God offers us what we lack. He is our true and ultimate source of peace, love, and mercy. It's easy to look at the world and become discouraged, to feel overwhelmed by the lies we've been told or the ones we've learned to hold onto ourselves. But God gives us more in Christ. There is an invitation here—not to muster up these things on our own, but to receive from Him: mercy for our failings, peace in the midst of trouble, and love that has been poured out on all humanity—including you. Because of Him, you can pray in the power of His Spirit today. Because of Him, you already have eternal life now, and there will come a day when you stand with Him in glory. In Christ, we find the "more" that our hearts deeply need. Apart from Him, we have nothing, but with Him, we have everything—enough for today and enough for the days to come. So let us receive what He offers. Let us rest in the mercy we absolutely need. Let us abide in the peace that only He can give. Let us live in the love that has been lavished upon us. Live today in the "more" of Christ, and let your life be to the glory of God—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That's the prayer I have for my own soul. That's the prayer I have for my family, for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's the prayer I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Loving God, you have knit us together in the body of Christ from every nation and tongue. Make us a vessel of your peace today. Make us a vessel of your peace today. Where hatred stirs, let us bear your love. Where wounds run deep, let us be agents of pardon. Where fear grips hearts, may we speak faith. Where sorrow hangs heavy, may we carry joy. Teach us to listen more than we speak. To understand before we are understood. To love. For in surrender, we find abundance. In mercy, we discover grace. And in dying, we rise into your life. In the name of Jesus. Amen. And now, as our Lord has taught us, we are bold to pray: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. In this thought-provoking conversation, Cameron and Nathan explore the crucial difference between defending Christianity and being a defensive Christian. Rooted in biblical wisdom and apologetic insight, they challenge believers to stand firm in their faith without fear or insecurity. From tackling common objections to Christianity, to addressing the cultural pressure to stay silent, this episode equips Christians to respond with clarity, humility, and strength. Whether you're engaging skeptics or wrestling with doubts, you'll discover how Christian apologetics isn't about proving God needs us—but about faithfully representing what we believe. Our guest again this week is author and apologist Lindsey Medenwaldt, who continues to share with us insights and her personal experiences with apologetics and evangelism. The Apostle Paul tells his fellow Christians in Corinth to do all to the glory of God. What does that mean? Do we have to be a popular evangelist or a pastor or have a successful social media following to glorify God? Must we be gregarious, outgoing evangelists who have no fear of man in order to win the world to Jesus? No. In whatever situation in which God has placed us, we can do all for the glory of God. Our witness to the world is most effectively accomplished through how we live our lives, in whatever vocation that might be. Our witness should be authentic, sincere, and candid, so that a world in need of hope can see how we have a hope in Christ that does not disappoint. Lindsey Medenwaldt is the Director of Ministry Operations at Mama Bear Apologetics, and is the resident worldview and world religion specialist. She has a master's degree in apologetics and ethics from Denver Seminary, as well as a master's in public administration and a law degree. In the 12th chapter of Paul's first letter to Corinth, he reminds the church that "the body is not one member but many... the eye cannot say to the hand 'I have no need of you.'" The Spirit of God has distributed diverse gifts to the body of Christ. We each have unique gifts and abilities which we can use to help encourage and edify one another as fellow Christians. Though not all of us have the gift of evangelism, we are all called to be ready to give a defense for the hope that is in us, with gentleness and reverence. We are all included in the Great Commission. But we will each go about sharing our faith diverse and unique ways with others. Our guest this week and next is author and apologist Lindsey Medenwaldt. In this week's sermon, Pastor Mark Deering discusses the testimony of the "three witnesses" mentioned in 1 John 5:6–12—the water (Jesus' baptism), the blood (Jesus' atoning sacrifice), and the Spirit (the Holy Spirit dwelling in believers)—as proof that Jesus is who He claimed to be. He encourages us to stand firm in our faith, live a life that defends our faith, and humbly learn how to better articulate and defend our beliefs when facing opposition or skepticism, as God has given us all we need to maintain our confidence in Christ.
Father shows us how important it is to defend the faith.
235 Why Believe? [Part 2] with Dr. Tawa Andersonapologetics, apologetics profile, watchman fellowship, Christianity, deconstruction, Tawa Anderson, Daniel Ray, evangelism, defend the faith, atheism, agnostic, skeptic, postmodern, gospel, God, JesusWith the advent of modern transportation and communication technologies, we are daily inundated with news, information, and ideas from all over the world. Such easy access to so many ideas and concepts wholly foreign to our own can, at times, be overwhelming without having an anchor of truth to which we may cling. Even as believers, much of what makes the news today, much of what you hear coming from other religions, secular science or contemporary sociology tends to dismiss the Christian faith or simply disregard it as irrelevant. Our guest again this week, Dr. Tawa Anderson of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, gives us some encouraging reminders about why Christianity is true and how we can defend it in this day and age of skepticism and clashing worldviews.Dr. Tawa Anderson was raised in a non-Christian home and came to faith in high school. He was called to ministry and served as English Pastor at Edmonton Chinese Baptist Church from 2001-2008. After completing his PhD, Dr. Anderson taught at Oklahoma Baptist University from 2011-2022 before joining the faculty at NOBTS. Tawa is the author of Why Believe? Christian Apologetics for a Skeptical Age (B&H Academic, 2021) and co-author of An Introduction to Christian Worldview: Pursuing God's Perspective in a Pluralistic World, (IVP Academic, 2017). The world often appears to us as though it is spinning out of control. Words don't mean what they used to mean. We live amidst a great deal of moral and societal confusion. Statistics are cited that seem to show an increasing number of people who no longer believe in God. The central message of the Christian faith, the deity, death, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, no longer seems to be credible to our postmodern world. The good news is that the Gospel is as relevant and powerful today as it was when it was first proclaimed centuries ago. On this episode, we talk with professor of philosophy and apologetics at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary about his 2021 book Why Believe? Christian Apologetics for a Skeptical Age (B&H Academic, 336-pages bit.ly/WhyBelieve2). Tawa's work provides Christians and non-believers alike timely and insightful reminders about why Christianity remains defensible and credible, even in a world that seems to be spiraling out of control. Effective evangelism and apologetics includes understanding what your non-Christian neighbor truly believes. On part two of our conversation with evangelist and apologist Eric Hernandez, author of The Lazy Approach to Evangelism: A Simple Guide for Conversing with Nonbelievers, we will glean more insight into Eric's experiences and engagement with non-Christians and learn how we too can be more effective in our own personal defenses of our faith in Christ.Eric Hernandez is an apologist, evangelist, and the Apologetics Lead and Millennial Specialist for The Baptist General Convention of Texas (www.TexasBaptists.org). He has spoken and debated the merits of Christianity on university college campuses throughout the U.S. and is the author of The Lazy Approach to Evangelism: A Simple Guide for Conversing with Nonbelievers. Is marriage a social construct that can be redefined without consequence? John Ferrer is on the show to discuss why marriage and family are the strength of society. Statistically, the divorce rates in the church compare equally to the divorce rates outside of the church, however, there is a stark difference when looking at the marriages of committed Christians. John and Shanda discuss these differences and define marriage and family from a biblical perspective.
