Today Rick called in to share his story about fear and following through with your ambitions, goals and dreams. Rick had a very successful corporate career but one thing that he always wanted to do in life was write and publish a book. He received early feedback from his professors that his ideas where good but he wasn’t clear enough in expressing them in writing. This lead him to doubt himself and defer this goal of becoming an author. Rick talks about reading a guide on how to publish a book in 90 days and in that moment it crystallized for himself that he was going to do it. He told his family and friends and at that point he was committed. Rick shares so many valuable thoughts on setting your purpose statement and using it as a guiding compass to help steer you in the direction that aligns the outer world with your inner truths. Rick talks about creating a deliberate practice, seeking continuous improvement in life, being open to feedback and criticism and how we can all achieve our best selves if we choose to embrace the confidence to face our fears. Welcome back to another episode of the Cookbook Love Podcast. Today Rick and I send our love and prayers to everyone during this global pandemic of coronavirus. Rick grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Rick’s consciousness was raised by the region’s great ethnic restaurants and local farms. He began in the food business in high school, and after graduating in Theater from San Francisco State University, Rick moved to New York, where he was instantly immersed in the restaurant and catering world. His catering firm, Cuisine Américaine broke new ground when, as a young American chef, he created events for the Services Culturels of the French Embassy’s offices in New York City. It was there that he initially entertained the food editors and executives who would commission his first books and recipe development jobs. Through his work as a personal chef to Jerry Stiller and the late Anne Meara, he met and catered for many of New York’s show business elite. These relationships paved the way for his career helping celebrities and chefs tell their own stories. A number of Rick’s projects have landed on The New York Times Best Seller list or gone on to win Beard, IACP, and Gourmand Awards and nominations. In addition to his own book such as Comfort Food, Big Book of Side Dishes, Thanksgiving 101, and Kaffeehaus, Rick has worked with many renowned personalities including chefs Alfred Portale (Gotham Bar and Grill), Richard Sandoval (Maya), and Jeffrey Nathan (Abagael’s). He counts iconic baker Dan Leader and the late fashion guru, Lilly Pulitzer, among his clients, as well as Oprah Winfrey’s former chef Art Smith and two “Real Housewives” from the Bravo TV series. Facebook ad expert, Rick Mulready, is back to talk about a tremendous new Ad tool that he’s already leveraging to drive major results in his business. If you’re starting to hear more about Facebook Messenger Ads, it’s for good reason. You’re probably one of the billion people who use the Messenger app to chat with family and friends instantaneously every day. But what if an ad popped up from your favorite clothing store and just by clicking it you could ask about one of their new products? Better yet, what if a rep from that store gets back to you immediately. BAM. That’s the beauty of Facebook Messenger ads for your customers. (It’s the first ad type that gets your ideal customer avatar talking with you instantly.) Now for you, this means being able to answer questions or address objections to your programs and courses in real time, like during a launch when you’re trying to close more sales. Today Rick and I go inside why this new format is climbing the charts and how you can take advantage of it right now. In the episode, Rick talks about his experience using Messenger Ads for the first time. Make sure to listen to get all the details about how this ad below performed for him! I’ve also included some screenshots of what the interface looks like when you’re creating the ad inside of The Power Editor. It’s super easy. You can check it out step by step below. Step 1: Go to ads creation in Ads Manager or Power Editor. Step 2: Choose the Traffic objective and complete your Campaign name, adset name, and ad name. Step 3: Under the adset level, select website or messenger. Continue by Choosing your audience, budget and placement. Step 4: At the ad level, Choose the Page you want to connect Step 5: At the ad level, select your image/video and copy. Choose a welcome message. When people click on your ad, they will automatically be directed to Messenger and receive a copy of your ad and the welcome message. *You can select any call-to-action button, in addition to ‘Send Message’. A Messenger icon will appear next to this call-to-action button in the ad. *NOTE: Your ad to open conversations in Messenger won’t appear to people on mobile who don’t have the Messenger app. So ready to tackle a new world of Facebook Messenger ads? Get all the starter details here—and don’t forget to sign up for Rick’s brand new webinar, “How to Create an Automated Facebook Ads System That Gets Leads & Sales Every Day.” I think we all need a bit of that magic!

Habits 2 Goals: The Habit Factor® Podcast with Martin Grunburg | Goal Achievement, Productivity & Success – Simplified

"If we're focused, confident and relaxed we have a much better opportunity to execute what we want..." "We know that our behaviors and our habits lead to our results..." A former pro golfer, Rick earned his doctorate in Applied Sports Psychology. He is the author of Golf: The Ultimate Mind Game and is former editor of Golf Tips magazine. A high school football injury directed Rick toward the sport of golf, and what he's learned since has truly been life-altering. In a competitive playoff for the right to join his college golf team as a walk-on, as he describes it, he "choked" under pressure. It was that "failure" that became a formative life experience and sent Rick toward the study of peak performance strategies. Today Rick is a sought-after peak-performance coach who trains aspiring professionals and helps corporate executives apply his many strategies and insights on peak performance, leadership and teamwork. In this episode, Rick shares: How to re-write your story to serve your ambitions Physiological influences of performance Why and how love (passion) is a critical component for peak performance His strategy for the golf-course "workshop" with executive teams! How his workshop reveals so much about decision making, leadership and communication How he applies The Habit Factor in his training to carry his clients beyond just the mental game, and how that was a breakthrough How he defines "success" How appreciating your life's "roles" helps you create greater attention and mindfulness How to get a little better every day And, so much more... “It's the exercise and the process behind it -- how did they come to the decisions as a team and what happens when someone played poorly? Did they react and judge them?" Why could I not perform under the pressure, when it mattered most. Yet, when I put some of those mental and emotional skills and trained them, I was able to perform at a high level afterwards..." “I'm a BIG believer that leadership starts with the individual, not with the team. You have to be able to lead yourself first before you can lead anyone else." ---------------------------------------------------- Subscribe Don't miss a single episode.
