Zack Snyder's Justice League, often referred to as the "Snyder Cut", is the 2021 director's cut of the 2017 American superhero film Justice League. Zack Snyder's Justice League reportedly doesn't use a single frame of anything Whedon shot, so as a result, all the Whedonesque quirks and oddities are gone.Join us as we see the “SURPRISE” look of the Geeky Husband, Tops, as he discovers the very shocking changes happening to her Clueless Wife, Glendz, who is now slowly becoming a nerd! Two Nerds watch the first episode of HBO's The Nevers, a steampunk Buffy the Vampire Slayer slash X-Men hybrid. The Nevers was created by Joss Whedon, who then apparently "stepped away" some time after all the allegations about his behavior on the set of Justice League. Whatever his involvement, the series is undoubtedly Whedonesque, with familiar character types and relationship dynamics. As a steampunk series, there are also easy comparisons to Carnival Row, which was incredibly beautiful and hopelessly boring; His Dark Materials, which is a great book series, disastrous movie, and uneven HBO series; and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, which has great art direction but still bugs me. Salman Rushdie's Booker prize winning novel Midnight's Children gets discussed in the same breath as X-Men, which made me have an attack of the giggles. We're on the hook for episode two, but The Nevers wasn't amazing or anything.

The Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D. The Agents debrief you on the deep meanings and throwbacks of the episode title, the science around a singularity, what the Time Loop rules are in this episode, that Daisy kiss with Sousa, that Sousa is a highlight of the season, the episode had the most amazing fight choreography we never saw, speculation on what Jemma saw when Diana was out of her head, and that the episode had upscaled classic Whedon storytelling with Enoch with another existential discussion with Lauren about LMD Coulson. Quote Tweet Whedonesque @whedonesque 9h E-MAIL Oh8four 12:07 PM (8 hours ago) to stargatepioneer@gonnageek.com This was my favorite episode of the season so far. Amazing character development for Coulsonbot, Enoch, and Daisy, and amazing character moments for most of the cast. Souza comparing Daisy to maybe the greatest person who ever lived without managing to say the name was cute, and I can't help but ship it. Something to keep in mind is that Daisy has had quake powers for about 4 years, including weird time skips and jumps that the show has made. As of 1983, Malick has had them for 7 years and counting. So it should be interesting to see what he's done with his powers in the meantime and how the team takes him down. Simmons breaking down when she got her memories back has to be a tease for a heartbreaking flashback episode, whenever it comes. But at this point I can't feel entitled to anything beyond what the show is giving me. Following these characters so far has been such a treat and I'm going to appreciate these last 4 episodes without bringing myself down with nitpicks. Until next time! On this edition of the Compelled podcast, we sit down and discuss the charges against Kentucky Judge Timothy Nolan, Joss Whedon's wife writing an essay on why their marriage broke up, and finally the Dan Harmon Baby Doll controversy. Kentucky Judge Timothy Nolan https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TimNolan(politician) In 2017, Nolan was charged with 28 felonies including charges of rape, human trafficking, witness tampering, prostitution, unlawful transaction with a minor and sodomy. There were 22 victims, including eight juveniles. Nolan initially pled not guilty to the charges on May 12, 2017. On February 9, 2018 at age 71, he pled guilty to 21 counts going back to 2004 and included 19 victims including juveniles. The agreement called for 20 years in prison and to pay a $100K fine. He entered an Alford plea for some charges which means he doesn't admit to committing the act but believes the evidence is too strong for him to prevail at trial. The counts indicated he engaged in human trafficking, providing drugs and alcohol to minors in exchange for sex as well as threatening arrest and eviction unless sex acts were performed Joss Whedon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joss_Whedon In August 2017, Whedon's ex-wife, Kai Cole, published an essay on an industry trade site accusing Whedon of 15 years of multiple infidelities and the hypocrisy of touting feminist ideals while using their marriage "as a shield" for his misuse of power.[286] A Whedon spokesperson said the essay contained "inaccuracies and misrepresentations".[287] The following day, the moderators of the fan-site Whedonesque.com announced that the website will stop updating and eventually become a read-only site Dan Harmon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DanHarmon#Babydollvideocontroversy Misconduct On January 2, 2018, Dan Harmon alluded to misconduct from himself towards other people. Megan Ganz, a writer who worked with Harmon on Community responded, naming herself as a victim in said misconduct. Harmon responded by attempting a dialogue with Ganz, wherein he attempted to apologize, and though Ganz said she appreciated his gestures, she declined to forgive him.[30] After the exchange, Harmon made a lengthy apology on his podcast Harmontown where he went into detail about his wrongdoings which included making advances on her and then mistreating her after she turned him down. Ganz said that she felt vindicated by the admission and accepted his apology, saying "Dan Harmon, I forgive you".[31] Baby doll video controversy In July 2018, Harmon deleted his Twitter account after a 2009 comedy skit surfaced in which acted out a rape using a baby doll as a prop. The video, titled "Daryl" was intended to be parody of the Dexter TV series. Harmon later apologized for the video. Nearly a day after the video surfaced, Adult Swim released a statement criticizing the video while noting Harmon's apology. https://www.acoupleofaveragejoes.com/ https://www.patreon.com/acoupleofaveragejoes

So Joss Whedon and the entire FIREFLY crew made a fantastic, epic, memorable double-episode pilot…. but Fox, as usual, decided to shoot themselves in the foot and slap everyone else in the face and force Whedon to make another, new, shorter, far inferior pilot, called THE TRAIN JOB. While still a typically fun and funny “Firefly” episode, Whedon is clearly being forced to force the issue, and as a result, it doesn’t work great as either a new pilot or a unique adventure. Nevertheless, there are many memorable Whedonesque moments as always, and Matt and push through some awkward pacing and technical issues (at the time, fixed now) as we look forward to the true start of the series in Episode 3 (says me) or Episode 4 (says Matt). Opa. Welcome to Episode 29 of Thought Cops. Deputy Robbie of the Dirty Nines joins us in the race to 1000 downloads this week, as we cover net neutrality, the resurrection of Civil War general and sportscaster Robert Lee, Alex Jones gets attacked by a globalist, Joss Whedon and James Cameron's exclusive hot takes on feminism, and MTV's out of this world take on gender non-conformity. First, we talk about the Kleins of H3H3 and their historic, landmark case in the fight for fair use of media against a man who's the physical embodiment of Gumby. Here's a video of them talking about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eN0CIyF2ok Also, Amy Schumer demanded Netflix pay her more money because of how much Chappelle and Chris Rock got paid, but also she didn't. So I don't know how to make sense of that. This week, ESPN banned Robert Lee from announcing a sports game in Virginia. Uh oh, hot dog. Make sure the next time you go into Starbucks that you tell your barista that your name is Hashtag Robert Lee. I hope that's how you spell "Hashtag Robert Lee." Speaking of coffee, a few weeks ago Alex Jones had hot coffee thrown in his face by a paid actor. Speaking of actors, a quick retraction of a thing I mentioned in this week's episode, the guy who got stabbed for having a "nazi haircut" actually just stabbed himself. Go fuck yourself, guy. You can't pull one over on the Thought Cops. Joss Whedon's fan site "Whedonesque" shut down this week, after his ex-wife called him a "fake feminist." He's also a fake greek god. Gross. Here's Bill O'Reilly visiting Chinatown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJmnLzw8NA4 Whatever happened to that guy? Here's a picture of Lance Bass, one of MTV's newest Moon People. The Heroine TV Podcast is back, this time with a super-sized Buffy and Angel episode. LaToya (@lafergs)--of All the TV, Pretty Little Liars Annotations, and Offscreenville--joined Lucia to discuss their Jossy obsessions. Do you want to listen to a Whedonesque therapy session, between two Buffy and Angel fans as they discuss what they love and hate about their two favorite shows? And try to work through the pain of "Seeing Red," Cordy's hair, and that Connor-Cordy scene that we pretend never happened? Then click play. The podcast starts off with a general discussion of TV, weighing in on Pretty Little Liars, Bunheads, Hart of Dixie, The Carrie Diaries, Defiance, Warehouse 13, Elementary, Southland, and more. The Buffy and Angel discussion starts in earnest at the 21:54 mark, and does contain spoilers for those two shows if you are unfortunate enough not to have watched them. (If you know nothing of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel, please contact a trusted professional as soon as possible, to get the help you so desperately need. We are here for you.) As for the Whedon veterans, the discussion includes how we got into Buffy, season and show rankings, favorite episodes and characters, least favorite episodes and characters, and a detailed history of Cordelia Chase's hair. Oh, and lots of wig talk, obviously. Lucia admitted to not liking Xander, while LaToya admitted to not liking Andrew. It was all very therapeutic. Enjoy!
We discuss the blockbuster Avengers movie! We break down how the characters fit together, the quality of the Big Bad, and whether the movie was "Whedonesque" enough. Plus, some thoughts on the 48 fps technology Peter Jackson is using to shoot The Hobbit. And a teaser about another big geek summer movie, Prometheus.
In today’s episode: Lani and Alastair talk about the seven anchor scenes, Lani’s way of breaking down the classic three-act structure. NOTE: This episode contains an important announcement about the future of Couch Surfing.Kim Butler, the Queen Bee of Podcasting (trademark pending) drops in to geek out about Xena, Scott Pilgrim and to recommend some literature. Part one of this two-part episode finds John and Scott ranting and raving about everything from geek culture, to obsessive behavior, to the joys of Netflix Streaming. 00:03:35 - John feels that Whedonesque is not being realized to its fullest potential, and worries that he's missing out on several news items, at the discretion of some questionable moderation. (UPDATE: The concerns of this issue have since died down considerably, making much of this rant more obsolete than before.) 00:24:11 - Yes, the rant was that long. This leads to another rant, one that's been discussed before. The Cult of Whedon, and how in some cases, the more overzealous contributors can ruin it for other fans. On this edition of the Compelled podcast, we sit down and discuss the charges against Kentucky Judge Timothy Nolan, Joss Whedon's wife writing an essay on why their marriage broke up, and finally the Dan Harmon Baby Doll controversy. Kentucky Judge Timothy Nolan https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Nolan_(politician) In 2017, Nolan was charged with 28 felonies including charges of rape, human trafficking, witness tampering, prostitution, unlawful transaction with a minor and sodomy. The counts indicated he engaged in human trafficking, providing drugs and alcohol to minors in exchange for sex as well as threatening arrest and eviction unless sex acts were performed Joss Whedon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joss_Whedon In August 2017, Whedon's ex-wife, Kai Cole, published an essay on an industry trade site accusing Whedon of 15 years of multiple infidelities and the hypocrisy of touting feminist ideals while using their marriage "as a shield" for his misuse of power.[286] A Whedon spokesperson said the essay contained "inaccuracies and misrepresentations".[287] The following day, the moderators of the fan-site Whedonesque.com announced that the website will stop updating and eventually become a read-only site Dan Harmon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Harmon#Baby_doll_video_controversy Misconduct On January 2, 2018, Dan Harmon alluded to misconduct from himself towards other people.
