Welcome back to What About Vietnam! Get your ears ready for another insightful episode in our mini-series, Out & About in Vietnam where I check out what Nha Trang has to offer, in a 3 day stay.Nha Trang is not just another beautiful beach destination; it's a cultural melting pot. From the moment you step foot in Nha Trang, you're greeted by its buzzy, somewhat noisy atmosphere along the promenade. For the best stunning beach shoreline view, in the evening, I suggest heading to the Skylight roof top bar. An even better idea is to get up early and enjoy a mesmerising  sunrise in the quietness of the day.A quick mention about the lovely Potique Hotel who sponsored this episode. A relatively new elegant city hotel, offering spacious well-designed rooms in that rich Indochine style with amazing beach views. Private access arranged at the beach and cafés, and restaurants right at your front door. We loved our stay.  Go direct to the hotel LINK HERE for the best offers and mention this podcast. But there's more to Nha Trang than meets the eye. Beyond the beaches, I briefly touch on the variety of cuisines available to tantalise your taste buds. I forget to mention the amazing feast I had of lobster. So cheap and so delicious, you can find the restaurant HERE.For those adventure seekers, Nha Trang is a treasure trove of adrenaline-pumping activities. From exhilarating water sports, including top-notch diving, to the excitement of island hopping, which we tried as it included the mud baths experience!!! Let's just say,  – it's an experience unlike any other!Journey beyond the city centre to uncover it's real gems; like the Po Nagar temple, offering insights into Vietnam's fascinating Cham history and Salt mining in the salt fields about an hour out of town. Please refer back to previous episodes:-S4-E5 – With Colm Hutchinson from Halo Digital Media - Talks 10 best things to do in Nha Trang S3-E06 – With Jeremy Stein -  Padi divingUntil next time, happy travels from What About Vietnam! Thank you for listening. It is really hard to be a church leader these days, isn't it?  The world we live in today is not the world we prepared for as ministry leaders—especially in light of everything we've been through over the last couple of years. So, what do you do when you find yourself essentially thrust into a world for which you weren't prepared?  What do you do when all the rules have changed?  What do you do in a time of what some call discontinuous change? In this episode, Markus Watson unpacks the meaning of discontinuous change and--using Joseph, the husband of Mary, as an example--how we are called to live and lead in the midst of such change.THIS EPISODE'S HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDES:Markus Watson explains the meaning of discontinuous change.Continuous change is change that is expected and understood.Discontinuous change is a kind of change that is different from anything anyone has experienced before. The world has experienced severe discontinuous change over the last couple of years, especially with regard to the coronavirus pandemic and the outcry for racial justice.Joseph, the husband of Mary, experienced extreme discontinuous change.Being to called to parent the Son of God was huge experience of discontinuous change.Joseph accepted the call.  He lived and led with courage and integrity.Joseph also led adaptively. We, too, are called to lead with courage and integrity. We, too, are called to lead adaptively in discontinuous times.Leading with courage means stepping out of your comfort zone.Leading with integrity means leading from your true self. The world needs a church with the capacity to bring healing and wholeness even in times of discontinuous change.RELEVANT RESOURCES AND LINKS:Church Leadership Institute websiteRelated episodes:Episode 110: Identity, Belonging, Purpose, with Kara Powell, author of 3 Big Questions That Change Every TeenagerEpisode 116: Power, Vulnerability, Rest, with Tod Bolsinger, Executive Director of the Church Leadership InstituteEpisode 94: Centering Prayer, with Rich Lewis, author of Sitting with GodEpisode 44: Spiritual Formation and Lectio Divina, with Eric Nevins, Host of Halfway ThereClick HERE to sign up for Tod Bolsinger's End with the Beginning in Mind webinar on December 16 at 1pm (PST).

Prayer is the foundation that grounds us as well as the wings that draw us close to God. It is the beginning. Pope St. Pius X's reach was limited by the technology of his day, but what about us?
