Given that she's the voice of one of the most iconic bad bitches in entertainment history — Pam Poovey from the long-running and groundbreaking ARCHER — it's no surprise that Amber Nash felt seen by another bad bitch of media. Granted, she might not be the first no-nonsense professional woman that comes to mind. But Lorna Cole, Renee Russo's character in LETHAL WEAPON 3, was the first feeling seen pick that Amber came up with, and the more she examined the pick, the righter it felt. Then, Jordan has one quick thing about the new horror film OBSESSION and its star, Inde Navarette. Listen to Amber's show right here on Maximum Fun! Fans of the long-running animated comedy Archer already know Amber Nash as Pam Poovey, the former H.R. director at ISIS. She has superhuman strength and a dolphin hand puppet. Pam does, not Amber. Amber has human strength and we don't know about the puppets. Amber is the host of the brand new Rephrasing: An Archer Rewatch Podcast here on Maximum Fun. She's also a devotee of the Vermont Country Store Catalog, a compendium of folksy and sometimes odd items that shows up as a kind of print portal to a rustic and slow-paced Vermont that exists only in the mail-order-verse. Tour around this soothing place with Amber, help her shop for one-of-a-kind gift ideas for the eccentric and rustic folks on your holiday list, and hear all about store founder Vrest Orton. In this episode of Workday Playdate, Erin explores what every team—at work and at home—needs more of: play. Joined by real-life partners and improv powerhouses Greg Tavares and Amber Nash, this episode dives into how playful communication can defuse tension, deepen connection, and make conflict feel a whole lot less... combative. Greg, an improv teacher and facilitator with decades of experience helping teams collaborate more creatively, joins forces with Amber, a voiceover actor best known as Pam on Archer, to unpack how the tools of improv aren't just for the stage—they're for the conference room, the kitchen, and everywhere in between. From mismatched communication styles to stuck-in-a-rut dynamics, this episode is a fresh take on resolving conflict without losing your cool—or your connection. Whether you're managing workplace drama or relationship tension, this one's packed with practical wisdom and plenty of laughs. Inside This Episode: Why “Yes, And” is more than an improv cliché—it's a relationship game-changer How to argue less by listening more (and differently) The science behind play and its impact on emotional regulation Spotting your partner's “bids” for connection—and not missing them How to fight in ways that are productive, not punitive Real-world exercises to bring more curiosity and humor into conflict Why improv-trained teams collaborate better—and how to borrow their tricks Why laughter really is the best medicine for tension What makes couples and coworkers more resilient together Who This Episode Is For: This one's for anyone tired of the same old arguments—whether with your partner, your teammate, or your boss. If you want to replace reactivity with creativity, and tension with trust, tune in. Whether you're leading a team or living with one, this episode is your permission slip to play more, fight less—and have way more fun doing it. In today's Workday Playdate Snack, we're talking about the kind of conflict resolution that doesn't involve a six-part text thread or passive-aggressive dishwasher loading. We're diving into how playfulness—yes, even mid-fight—can be your secret weapon for stronger, happier relationships. Whether it's your partner, roommate, or that one family member who treats the group chat like a TED Talk… this snack is for you. The Problem: You're crushing deadlines at work—but stuck in a weird silence at home. Maybe it was about socks. Or the dishes. Or nothing at all. And now you're trying to lead a team while low-key simmering with resentment. Spoiler: unresolved tension doesn't stay home. It follows you to Zoom. Why It Matters: Research shows emotional residue from personal relationships impacts performance, presence, and psychological safety at work. You can't be fully present in the boardroom if you're still replaying last night's kitchen argument. The Improv Hack to Try: The Silent Scene Yes, it's as ridiculous—and effective—as it sounds.  Next time things get tense with your partner, skip the serious convo and act out a mundane task (like folding laundry) with exaggerated mime and facial expressions. No words. Just play. Why it works: Interrupts the fight-or-flight cycle Sparks laughter and connection Rebuilds rhythm and sync—without a 45-minute processing session It's improv for intimacy. Lucille Ball meets couple's therapy. Coming up Wednesday: Ready to take this playful practice even deeper? Today, we take a deep dive into Archer, the Primetime Emmy-winning adult animated sitcom which debuted season 12 on Netflix today. The show follows an array of intelligence agents, and specifically the protagonist Sterling Archer, a self-involved womanizer. Here are some lesser-known facts about the series. 1. The characters are often shown reading magazines on the show, which serve as Easter eggs for upcoming episodes or seasons. 2. Each episode of the show features the sound of ice-cubes clinking against the glass. 3. The name of Amber Nash's character Pam makes an appearance on graffiti and walls in almost every episode. 4. Jeffrey Tambor and Jessica Walter, who played bickering married couple in Arrested Development, have again been cast in Archer as arch-rivals Len Texler and Malory. 5. The opening title montage shows the blueprint of the helicopter in the 1984 series Airwolf and the rudimentary rocket called The Vulture from the sci-fi show Salvage 1. If you haven't watched the series yet, do so exclusively on Disney + Hotstar.Well that's the OTTplay Now you Know for today's episode , I shall be back again tomorrow  until then it's your host Nikhil signing out.

Amber Nash talks starring in "Archer", her new film "How To Ruin The Holidays", and a wild audition story with a surprise "The Walking Dead" actor!About Amber Nash: Nash got her start in the world of television voiceover when Thompson and Reed cast her in their Adult Swim series Frisky Dingo, where she voiced “Val” and a number of other characters. Her work led to an offer to voice “Pam Poovey” on Archer, a series that has since been honored with two Primetime Emmy® Awardsincluding Outstanding Animated Program, a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Animated Series and a Gold Derby TV Award, to name a few. Nash's character quickly became a fan-favorite and has garnered a lot of buzz and was even referred to as the “real hero of Archer” by BuzzFeed. In addition to her voiceover work, Nash also explored a new medium with a role in the web series Hart of America, a performance which earned her an Indie Series Award nomination for Best Actress in Comedy. She has also stayed busy teaching, creating and writing shows, performing in thousands of improv shows and touring all over the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia. She has worked with Second City in Atlanta at the Alliance Theatre and for Norwegian Cruise Lines. Nash also collaborated with Dad's Garage and a group of performers with special needs on a short film project called That Was Awesome. She will continue her foray into the film world as the lead in the indie comedy How to Ruin The Holidays, alongside Colin Mochrie, Aisha Tyler, Henry Zebrowski and special needs actor Luke Davis. Written by Nash's husband, Kevin Gillese, the movie offers a hilarious take on love, disability, and those family gatherings that test your patience. It is set to begin production later this year.Amber's Social Media:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ambercnashTwitter: https://twitter.com/ambercnashFollow the show on social media!                 Instagram: https://instagram.com/thanksforcominginpodcast/                 Twitter: https://twitter.com/tfci_podcast                  Facebook: http://facebook.com/thanksforcominginpodcast/                   Theme Music by Andrew Skrabutenas
