EPISODE 286 - Sian Hill - Row Boats and Submarines, How Your Thoughts Become ThingsI help women to transform their thinking, release limitations and become an impactful coach through my Accredited NLP, Time Line Therapy and Hypnotherapy Certification programmesGrowing up, I hated being me! That lack of self-love grew more and more over the years and by my mid-twenties, I'd hit the self-sabotage button that many times that life was pretty rubbish. I'd managed to get myself into a lot of debt, a relationship that I realise now was abusive in many ways and my health was pretty poor. The funny thing was that looking in from the outside, you would never have known. I was good at putting a smile on my face and pretending I had it together. The truth was that I felt like I was drowning. I was sure that everyone else knew what they were doing, they'd had lessons in school about life that I'd missed. I spent what should've been my ‘fun' years, having no fun at all! I went from job to job doing work that I found completely unfulfilling whilst racking up the credit cards, the whole time thinking that there has to be more to life.I'm so thankful that in my mid-twenties, my Mum gave me a book, 'The Secret'. This book introduced a new way of thinking; a way that said I was able to create my reality. Up to that point, life had just happened to me...I was ready to change. I became obsessed and read tonnes of books about the law of attraction, manifestation and creating your reality, I went to seminars, short courses and I watched everything I could find on YouTube, but nothing much changed. The issue was, I was still me!Sian is the author of the book “Activate Your RAS - The Art and Science of Creating Your Reality from The Inside Out,” and host of the Vibrant Mind Vibrant Life podcast. As an Internationally Certified Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Time Line Therapy, Hypnotherapy and Breakthrough Coach, she works both 1-1 with clients and training people to become accredited coaches. She teaches people to re-programme their unconscious mind, rewire old belief systems and break through lifelong mental and emotional blocks so they can create a life they love.  Here's my linktree which has the links to my website, programmes etc.  https://linktr.ee/iamsianhillhttps://www.iamsianhill.com/___https://livingthenextchapter.com/podcast produced by: https://truemediasolutions.ca/ National Podcast Post Month is celebrating 16 years! Even with my passion for history, I struggled to get beyond even a few pages in writing a historical fiction novel. With historical fiction, I felt like any character I created would just be inserted into a tale that had already been richly told.I needed the challenge of telling a new tale – one full of its own wondrous, brave, and devious characters.Envisioning a new place … Ardalencor … recharged my creativity and unleashed the freedom of possibility. EPISODE 282 - Bryan Mitchell - Stay on the Path, Avoid the Shiny Things And The Root of The ProblemThe hardest thing I've ever done is share a piece of my soul with others. It makes me feel vulnerable. Like a thief who just got spotted by the police with his pants down. Can't run away now. Gotta face whatever judgement awaits. That's how I feel when I share my stories. I cringe like a baby tasting a lemon and look at the reader all weird, hoping they want more. While I cringe, eye twitching, neck straining, there's one thing that holds me together and that is the truth. Like me. Love me. Hate me. It's not my decision. The important thing is the olive branch that I've extended. I'm trying to connect with you and honored you're making the effort to hear me out. This is what story telling is. It's who we are. It's how we connect and grow together. If you happen to look up at me while reading and see a ghastly face trembling like Hulk Hogan waking up from a bearhug, just know, I'm happy you gave me the opportunity, pal, and I encourage you to pass along the olive branch to others in your life because we all need to make ourselves vulnerable to be real. We've all written terrible prose. We've all fallen short of Shakespeare. Forgive yourself and others for those wordy sentences and write the good write. Sorry, I can't end with that. Let's simmer it down a little. I have a short story you can read for free if you sign up for my newsletter. It is called No Place Like Home. My debut novel, Infernal Fall, will be out in October of 2022. All subscribers will get updates on that and more. Hope you stick around.
