Kay Duganator was born and raised in Topeka, KS. She returned there after a brief tour of the Flint Hills during her time at Emporia State University. After her day job, Kay is free to pursue her arts: poetry, fiction and storytelling.  She hosts Topeka's NOTO Story Slam and frequently reads at Topeka's monthly Speak Easy Open Mic. She is also a member of the SFPA: Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association.     Kay was recently nominated for the 9th annual Dubceez Underground Entertainment Awards as Best Female Spoken Word Artist and nominated Best Newcomer in the 2nd Annual Music and More Poetry Awards. Her works can be found in Quivira, The Best of ESU, The Tin Lunchbox, The Blue Mountain Review, and Ichobods Speak Out.
