ג' חלקים משיחת אור ליום ב' פ' חיי שרה, כ"ף מרחשון ה'תשמ"ו ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=11-11-2025 Synopsis Before his histalkus, the Rebbe [Rashab] Nishmaso Eden said, “I am going to Heaven, and I leave the writings to you,” meaning: by studying his writings of Chassidus, in which he invested his very essence, we have the Rebbe himself, as he exists in the state of ascent to Heaven. The renewal of his life's work that occurs every year on his birthday year is relevant and has an effect on everyone who follows his ways, particularly those who study his writings in such a way that they are “sustained by them” meaning with understanding and comprehension, which forms a “wondrous union that is unmatched by any other union.” He “left us” the abilities for all this and put them at our disposal; we need only to reveal it. The Baal Shem Tov said that “the master, king Moshiach, will come” as a result of spreading his wellsprings; just as a name is seemingly an external aspect of a person, but calling someone by their name arouses their entire essence, so too it understood that even if one only has a partial connection to the teachings of the Rebbe Nishmaso Eden (like “reading names”), he grasps the entire essence. Therefore, everyone can achieve a “wondrous union” with his deepest teachings.3 excerpts from sichah of Sunday night, parashas Chayei Sarah, 20 Marcheshvan 5746 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=11-11-2025 לזכות ר' שלום דובער בן רבקה צירה שי' ליום ההולדת שלו כ' מרחשון - לשנת ברכה והצלחה, ואריכות ימים ושנים טובות

Hi everyone! Please G-d we will be back soon with new episodes! In the meantime, enjoy this Cheshvan replay rich with information on the month we are in and what we can do to bring Moshiach. G-d knows we need the chizuk! Enjoy!--Hi everyone, welcome back to another episode of The Chai on Life Podcast. Today, we are talking all about Moshiach. It's Cheshvan and on the surface, Cheshvan seems like a chill, catch-up kind of month. The chagim are over, we're back to routine and Cheshvan gives us the time to do so. But is that all Cheshvan is for? Like pretty much all things in Judaism, how things appear on the surface are well, just the surface and there is a whole world of depth underneath. As I was researching more about Cheshvan I learned that it is soooo Moshiach centered. If you learn from the Sefer Yetzirah or the Book of Formation, which you can read about on inner.org, you will learn that the letter of the month, sense of the month, tribe and so much more are all connected to Moshiach. To be honest, Moshiach is something I've struggled with over the years becoming religious and being religious. It's something that I am taught to want, yet also something I don't actually know that much about. So for awhile now, I've been determined to learn more and really understand more and I knew Faigy Blumstein was the perfect person to do so with.Faigy Blumstein does not call herself a lecturer, but someone who loves to share. A passionate educator and school psychologist, she is dedicated to living a Hashem-centered life. As part of the Thank You Hashem women's division, Faigy draws on chasidic teachings and the light of the Baal Shem Tov, to inspire others. Her heartfelt approach helps women deepen their connection to Hashem, integrating spirituality into everyday life in a meaningful and modern way.And let me tell you this conversation gets deep. We talk about how she got into Chassidus in the first place, how it can connect you in ways you never could have imagined, what Moshiach even means, how we can all work to bring Moshiach, why Cheshvan is the time reserved for Moshiach, how Israel connects to all of this and so so much more.We also learn about the connection between Cheshvan, Moshiach and Rochel Imeinu. Tonight, Monday night, the 11th of Cheshvan begins Rochel Imeinu's yahrtzeit and our conversation brought such a new light to Rochel that I wasn't aware of before. It is hashgacha pratis that the podcast is coming out right before so hopefully we can all use our connection to Rochel Imeinu to feel more strength and a new kind of vitality with our Yiddushkeit.Learn more:Cheshvan on Inner.orgThank You HashemListen to Faigy's Cheshvan Playlist:SpotifyApple

ב' חלקים משיחת י"ט כסלו ה'תשל"ה ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=23-10-2025 Synopsis The Rambam writes: “Moshe Rabbeinu was commanded by the Almighty to compel all the inhabitants of the world to accept the commandments given to Noach's descendants.” Thus it is understood that the completeness of the Jewish people themselves depends upon influencing the nations of the world to observe the Sheva Mitzvos Bnai Noach. (Here we see that the Baal Shem Tov's teaching that Hashgacha Pratis applies not only to Jews but to everything in the world, was not a new idea, chas v'shalom, but an explicit teaching of the Rambam.) We see that recently, the “spreading of the wellsprings outward” has begun to reach even non-Jews, and we also find that our Rebbeim took the time to influence even non-Jews to improve their ways. These days, we can also understand logically how necessary it is to influence the nations of the world to keep the Sheva Mitzvos, because this is what “Moshe was commanded by the Almighty,” and their very existence depends on it (for a gentile who transgresses even one of the Sheva Mitzvos is liable to receive the death penalty). When, by Hashgacha Pratis, someone finds himself in a position where he interacts with non-Jews, he surely has the ability to influence them – and this is part of his own fulfillment of Torah and mitzvos as a Jew.2 excerpts from sichah of 19 Kislev 5735 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=23-10-2025 לזכות יעקב מנחם בן שושנה שי' וחי' שרה בת שושנה שתחי' ליום ההולדת שלהם בדר"ח מרחשוןלשנת ברכה והצלחה, ואריכות ימים ושנים טובות

ד' חלקים מהתוועדות אור ליום ג' פ' ברכה, י"ג תשרי ה'תשד"מ ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=05-10-2025 Synopsis We know that the Rebbe Maharash conducted himself in the manner of the Baal Shem Tov – characterized by physical wonders. This is also expressed in the saying and directive of the Rebbe Maharash, “M'lechatchilah ariber” (going “above in the first place”) – where a Jew is blessed with wealth and children etc. in a manner of “over,” beyond the bounds of nature from the outset. Similarly, while some argue that they cannot fulfill the mitzvah to “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and master it” until after they grow in Torah and fear of Heaven, etc. – the response is that one must go m'lechatchilah ariber; “When a mitzvah comes to your hands, do not delay it.” The mitzvah of “be fruitful and multiply” in terms of one's inner spiritual service is to make sure that one's knowledge and understanding don't remain only in the mind (the “mothers”), but extend to the emotions of the heart (the “children”) and to actual deed. And in one's work with others: As the Nasi of our generation once replied to someone, “Make a chossid for me, and with that, you'll be connected.” Along with “hoping for Your deliverance every day,” the tireless pursuit of Moshiach, one must also delight in the study of Chassidus, the Torah of Moshiach which hastens his coming – “Those who taste it, merit life.”4 excerpts from farbrengen of Monday night, 13 Tishrei 5744 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=05-10-2025 לזכות ר׳ משה הכהן וזוגתו מרת נחמה דינה שיחיו כהן ליום הנישואים שלהם י"ג תשרילהצלחה בכל הענינים בגשמיות וברוחניות ורוב נחת מכל יו"ח*לזכות שטערנא שרה בת דבורה לאה שתחי' ליום ההולדת שלה י"ג תשרי - לשנת ברכה והצלחה, ואריכות ימים ושנים טובות
In response to harsh words spoken against learning Chassidus, the Rebbe advises presenting sources from the Arizal, the Baal Shem Tov, the Rebbe Rashab, and even the Vilna Gaon linking its study to the Geulah. If the rabbi disagrees, he must state it openly; otherwise, he should retract publicly. This will at least deter such statements in the future. https://www.torahrecordings.com/rebbe/igroskodesh/016/001/5786

Elul and the high holidays are a period of introspection and self accounting. In this conversation with Matti Banon, we discuss the Chassidic perspective on gentle growth, what it looks like to live our lives with agency while remaining humble enough to recognize our recurring flaws, the balance between intellect and emotion, the transformative power of compassion and curiosity, and the parenting truths that can guide us in becoming more whole ourselves. In this episode, we are introduced to Reb Schneur Zalman, the Alter Rebbe. We find out about his birth, and the fascinating directives that the Baal Shem Tov gave to his parents about him.
Chacun son point de vue (Baal Shem Tov) by Rav David Touitou
The Rebbe urges learning maamarim together before and during the Yamim Noraim, when all souls stand united before Hashem. He recounts the Baal Shem Tov, Maggid, and Alter Rebbe's teachings on uniting love of Hashem, Torah, and Israel—especially loving every Jew simply as a Jew—opening the “Upper Gate” and hastening the true Geulah. https://www.torahrecordings.com/rebbe/004_igros_kodesh/elul/1213
The Rebbe is pleased to hear of the Chai Elul farbrengen with study of the Frierdiker Rebbe's talks, surely awakening love of fellow Jew, Torah, and Hashem—unified as taught by the Baal Shem Tov and Alter Rebbe. He blesses that resolutions be fulfilled and wishes a good, sweet year in gashmiyus and ruchniyus. https://www.torahrecordings.com/rebbe/004_igros_kodesh/elul/1211
The Rebbe notes that Chai Elul, birthdays of the Baal Shem Tov and Alter Rebbe, brings vitality into all aspects of Elul—teshuvah, Torah, tefillah, and gemilus chasadim, as reflected in its acronyms. He extends heartfelt blessings to him and his family for a good and sweet year in both gashmiyus and ruchniyus. https://www.torahrecordings.com/rebbe/004_igros_kodesh/elul/1210
Learning Weekly at the Shtiebel aka TheFamilyMinyan.com Likutei Moharan 38 8 Rabeinu Nachman ben Faiga Simcha teaches us from the sign of Tefilin that we can experience this healthy shame through Shabbos. Tishrei is the 7th month, which is a deeper longer way to understand Shabbat through Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkot & Simchat HaTorah... Rebbe Nachman's Tikkun is specifically through Uman Rosh Hashana, a very pnimyius form of connection to the Tzaddick & Connection. etc etc... we discussed the subject from the past few months afterwards on "Healthy Shame" after a sirn
ב' חלקים משיחת יום ד' פ' נצבים, כ"ד אלול ה'תשל"ד, להעסקניות דהמוסדות "תומכי תמימים" ו"בית רבקה" תחיינה ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=14-09-2025 Synopsis It is always a positive thing when Jews gather and unite (despite the difference between them), especially during the month of Elul, the month of accounting and perfecting the outgoing year, and the month of preparing for the new year, and this unity serves as a vessel for even greater blessings from Hashem. This also relates to parashas Nitzavim, which begins with the verse, “You are all standing today….”: despite the distinctions between “your heads of your tribes” and “your woodcutter and water-drawer,” all stand together united as one before Hashem. And when a Jew knows that he is always standing before Hashem, he knows for certain that nothing can harm him, and that he will be able to easily find the correct path. This is why this parashah is read before Rosh Hashanah. The Baal Shem Tov taught that when Hashem sees that already at the beginning of the month of Elul that the Jewish people want to repay and begin repaying the “debts” of the outgoing year, then He forgives the rest of the “debt” during the days of Selichos, and already on Rosh Hashanah, even before they implement their decision to improve, He inscribes and seals them for a good and sweet year etc.2 excerpts from sichah of Wednesday, parashas Nitzavim, 24 Elul 5734, to women involved in supporting Tomchei Temimim and Bais Rivkah For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=14-09-2025 לע"נ הרה"ח ר' יוסף חיים בן הרה"ח חנוך העניך הכהן ע"ה ראזענפעלד ליום היארצייט שלו כ"א אלול. ת.נ.צ.ב.ה.
The Rebbe expresses joy at their organized work but notes missing participants, urging unity. He highlights the power of Chai Elul and Tishrei for spreading the Baal Shem Tov's and Alter Rebbe's teachings widely, especially to Yemenite and Persian Jews receptive to Chassidus. He offers support and blessings for success. https://www.torahrecordings.com/rebbe/004_igros_kodesh/elul/1184
The Rebbe explains that Chai Elul brings vitality into Elul, the month of accounting and preparation. Its acronyms reflect teshuva, Torah, tefillah, and tzedakah. Through learning Chassidus—linked to the birthdays of the Baal Shem Tov and Alter Rebbe—Jews infuse life into all service of Hashem and hasten the redemption. https://www.torahrecordings.com/rebbe/004_igros_kodesh/elul/1191
On Chai Elul, marking the birthdays of the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe, Tomchei Tmimim was founded by the Rebbe Rashab. For 60 years it has nurtured Torah and Chassidus with mesirus nefesh worldwide, sustaining Jewish life. Today, it urgently seeks support to continue its vital mission. https://www.torahrecordings.com/rebbe/igroskodesh/015/013/5747

Although every Jew's mission is to have an impact on the world and to make it a dwelling place for Hashem, there are obviously different levels, and certainly when a new soul comes down into the world, a unique form of service is demanded of it – to bring about something new in the entire world. And this new contribution begins from the very moment the soul enters the world, as it says about Moshe's birth, “the entire house became filled with light.” (Just that the effect of light is not to create something new, but to reveal what was already there beforehand, whereas the task demanded of a Jew is to bring about something new in the work of Creation.) And since we are speaking about the two great luminaries whose role is to illuminate, it follows that they desire that their students also become “shining lamps” in all matters of spreading the light of Chassidus. This, then is the lesson from the birthday of the two great luminaries – to illuminate the entire world (with the light of Chassidus) which is possible because one operates not with his own power, but with the power of the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe within him. Especially when their teachings are engraved in one's mind.3 excerpts from sichah of Monday, parashas Nitzavim-Vayelech, 18 Elul 5742 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=11-09-2025 לזכות ר' משה הענאך בן דינה שי' לעווין לרגל יום ההולדת שלו ח"י אלוללשנת ברכה והצלחה, ואריכות ימים ושנים טובות*לזכות הרב משה שי' שפירא ליום ההולדת שלו החמישים י"ד אלול ה'תשפ"הלשנת ברכה והצלחה, ואריכות ימים ושנים טובות נדבת משפחת השלוחים ד'האדסן קאנטי, ניו ג'רזי
The Rebbe blesses the participants of the Neshei U'Bnos Chabad gathering in Lod that it inspire greater vitality in their efforts. In this class, Rabbi Bernath reframed the very idea of confession in Judaism. While most people think of confession as listing sins and failures, the Torah introduces Vidui Ma'aser, a “confession” where the farmer proudly declares to G-d that he has fulfilled every detail of the mitzvah of tithing. Why would the Torah call this a confession? Because true spiritual growth begins not by beating ourselves down, but by acknowledging the good we've done. When we confess our strengths, we build the confidence and clarity to face our shortcomings without despair.Confession, then, isn't meant to break us, it's meant to fix us. It's not about shame; it's about uncovering the truth that we are divine souls who sometimes fall short but are always capable of rising higher. By celebrating our goodness first, we create the spiritual courage to transform our failures into growth.Key TakeawaysConfession in Judaism isn't only about failure: The Torah's “tithing confession” is actually a declaration of success.Celebrate your victories: By verbalizing what you've done right, you strengthen your belief in your own holiness and capacity.Healthy confession = owning both sides: “I am good and capable, and that's why this mistake doesn't fit me, and I can do better.”Encouragement inspires growth: Just as children thrive when parents highlight strengths before weaknesses, we too change more when we see ourselves through the lens of goodness.Chassidic joy in confession: Like the Baal Shem Tov's cantor, we can sing our confessions, not out of arrogance or denial, but because cleansing the soul is a joyful act of uncovering diamonds beneath the dirt.Confession challenge: In the next 24 hours, “confess” something good you've done, out loud, to yourself or someone you trust. Let it remind you who you really are.#Judaism #Jewish #chabad #Rabbi #Kabbalah #Torah #TorahLessons #TorahPortion #torahwisdom #BibleStudy #Bible #confession #goodness #psychology #baalshemtov #KiTavo #Teshuvah #ViduiMaaser #JewishGrowthSign up for "The Forgiveness Lab" HERE: theloverabbi.com/eventsSupport the showGot your own question for Rabbi Bernath? Elul & Rosh Hashanah Without Anxiety: Is Chassidus Really About Healing Trauma? This class was presented on Tuesday, 16 Elul, 5785, September 9, 2025, Parshas Ki Savo, at The Barn @ 84 Viola Rd. in Montebello, NY.View Source Sheets: https://portal.theyeshiva.net/api/source-sheets/9761
משיחת ח"י אלול ה'תשל"ו ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=09-09-2025 Synopsis The month of Elul is a time to increase in tzedakah – in both the literal and spiritual sense. This is the time to arrange for hospital visitations to perform mivtza shofar on Rosh Hashana and mivtza lulav on Sukkos etc. (It's unfortunate that people still call it a beis cholim (place for sick people) which makes people hesitant to be admitted; it would be healthier to call it a beis harofim (place of doctors), which emphasizes that it's a place of healing. If only this suggestion would be accepted….) Surely the good practice of visiting army bases in the Holy Land during the month of Elul to blow shofar and put on tefillin etc. will continue, in addition to visiting places that have not yet been visited. It should be explained to anyone who doesn't yet know it that this is the true protection, as the verse states, “And all the peoples of the earth will see that the name of Hashem is called upon you, and they will fear you.” And all of this should be done with the vitality drawn from the Baal Shem Tov, who had exceptional love for every Jew (as recently published in Kuntres Ahavas Yisroel, which will surely be disseminated as widely as possible, and whose teachings will surely be incorporated into practice). The same should be done in any country where there are Jews in the military, and it should be explained to the soldiers that just as “We will do” must come before “We will hear” when it comes to an order received from their human commander, and they must carry out the order even if they don't yet fully understand it (even if in civilian life they are more qualified than the commander) – all the more so when it comes to a command of the King of kings, the Holy One, blessed be He.Excerpt from sichah of 18 Elul 5736 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=09-09-2025 *לזכות הרב משה שי' שפירא ליום ההולדת שלו החמישים י"ד אלול ה'תשפ"הלשנת ברכה והצלחה, ואריכות ימים ושנים טובות נדבת משפחת השלוחים ד'האדסן קאנטי, ניו ג'רזי
