Barbie might be making headlines but today's episode is hosted by Brats girlie Kelly and the show's first non-husband guest co-host, Polly Pocket girlie Ashley. This duo has been transacting, wardrobe purging, making the most of mom life — and they're ready to share all. Attention Buick SUV mamas! Sound off in your Carpool Podcast reviews this week and let us know what you loved about today's co-host while you're there! Ashley brings today's millennial word of the day from her social scrolling: feminine era. This is when you're in an LTR and have someone to help you do the heavy lifting. Ashley has been putting together the most darling mom-fits over on @realactuallyashley and Kelly is a stan. Biker shorts and a dress? Say less. The gals rave about buying the proper size clothes to create more comfort and grabbing a girlfriend to clean your closets out together. Gym, shower, makeup, ‘get ready with me' on IG stories, hair, and outfit kick off most of Ashley's days, but even as a makeup artist, she isn't judging anyone who doesn't put a full face of makeup on every morning. She's simply here to champion every woman doing what she needs to have a better day and wholeheartedly believes you should let your clothes make your body look better instead of making your body look better to fit into your clothes. In today's last three transactions segment, Ashley reveals she took the leap and bought her kids tablets she may have to save until Christmas, grabbed makeup erasers and Bento Boxes on prime day, and made a grocery order for her ‘cut.' Kelly hit Athleta's semi-annual sale, ordered an ugly t-shirt for her family's vacation secret santa, and made a Costco haul complete with dinners for Lizz. If you joined in for my Back to School Bootcamp, you know this story already. But for you that don't, it seemed like it should have a permanent place on the podcast. Because outside of wanting to empathize with the woes of sending school lunches our kids don't eat, I wanted you to have a bit deeper perspective on how I came up with Love it, Like it, Learning it®, how it shaped what I send to school then vs now, and the way I know this approach can empower you in coming up with what a "healthy" lunchbox looks like for your child. So tune in for a short clip from day one of my Back to School Bootcamp. I touch on the homework we did to work through creating lists of foods that were school- AND child-approved! The best part is, so many moms have since shared what a helpful exercise this was to work through. You can begin the work too starting with THIS clip from my Back to School Bootcamp.

We are about to kick off our sixth school year with nothing less than... our sixth bento box! And while you shouldn't need to get a new bento box each year, I am in the business of testing these out. Both as a dietitian and a mom, I like to test out each and every product I share with my clients and community. So this episode will do just that! Sharing with you what I like (and what I don't), I dive into the pros and cons of each of the bento boxes we have owned over the years. I also highlight how this has evolved as our number of children has grown, taste preferences have changed, and health goals increased. So listen in for the clif notes on each of the following brands of bento boxes: Easy Lunchboxes, Yumbox, Bentgo, LunchBots, OmieBox, and PlanetBox.
Today is an epic day in GSP history. Shanea has a lovely PSA!!!! It's almost not worth mentioning anything else here but alas…we will. :) The ladies speak about all kinds of things today including “proper” crackers (Chika), “things that are for things that shouldn't be used for other things” (again Chika), and things that fall into the category that became the title of this episode - look up in case you forgot the title already - (courtesy of Shanea). This is one you do NOT want to miss. So hurry up, grab your popcorn, wine (or seltzer - we're equal opportunity drinkers here - as we say in our intro, “we don't discriminate”) and dive in!!!! Happy, happy listening! And….spoiler…or not….Congratulations Shanea!!!!!
It's back to school season, and whether you have good, bad or mixed feelings about the transition, the time is upon us. So today we're talking about getting ourselves and our kids ready for the change of pace and the new schedules. Plus: where to find the best deal on pencils, how to celebrate the season and Michelle reveals she's a little bit obsessive about food storage containers. These are the lunch box containers Michelle uses. Though technically for salads (apparently), they work great for separating all the parts of a lunch. When I was a kid, I remember the feeling of getting a new lunchbox. I was proud to carry my favorite superhero or cartoon character with me to the lunchroom... it was the status symbol of the time (when you were 8 years old). I was listening to a podcast and learned about Bento Boxes. They are a Japanese way of packing healthy meals where each food has its own compartment and each part of the meal stays fresh. It got me thinking about marketing and how we can compartmentalize messages in the same fashion using ebooks to deliver complex concepts (a full healthy meal) in small (easy to consume) portions. You can break down the ideas into stand-alone chapters, then deliver them in many ways: Blogs Videos Graphics Emails Social Media This episode will explore how you can take a complex topic and segment it into multiple portions that serve your audience a healthy meal... yet leave them wanting more! Breaking a complex topic into digestible bites, helps your audience sample all that you have to offer! Want To See How To Market BETTER? - Click Here

Life can be unrelenting, overwhelming and exhausting. Paul gave the Colossian church an encouraging word that they could reject the pressures of the world. On the cross, Jesus made a spectacle of the powers of darkness. We can live lives of courage because Jesus is enough.

Lauren and Tristan Talk about forgotten loves from gushers to music. They talk about 2020 music and Lizzo's body positivity but still having insecurities. KIDS EAT FROM BENTO BOXES!!! Tristan is asked the big question…Do you have a TikTok!!? Tristan's Great Clips Story!! Does Tristan say like too much….yep Scenario Tristan and Lauren wing man each other…Tristan is terrible at it (Recorded pre-COVID19 Outbreak.) This is a re-upload. I(Tristan) took the episode down because as I listened one of the stories a joke within it wasn't actually that funny and actually placated on race. As such it was edited out. For transparency sake I'm adding this message to show that it not only won't happen again but this won't be a platform for senseless humor. I should've stopped my joke and or apologized for the farcical nature that it was by putting words in another persons mouth. I may just be a polished turd but that doesn't mean I can be complete trash. Many people haven't heard the episode with the joke and it won't probably have an impact on anyone but if it did I'm sorry. I will address the joke in the next episode if there is one anytime soon. Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during the times and taking care of themselves physically as well as mentally. Stay polished! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
