What do you think of when you hear the term 'learner agency?' You might envisage students having some "voice" and "choice" around what they learn, or where they sit in class.  And while that's a nice start, learner agency is more than allowing students some choice in what they learn. It's about involving them in every step of the journey. Imagine a school with...

We will go down the line of his amazing journey that this put him on and the research in which he worked on. We will discuss how Peter used technology and quantum physics to bridge the gap between science and consciousness which allowed him to create tools that are designed with mathematical and quantum principles to harness profound angelic energy and crystal healing virtues. He discovered he had angelic origins as part of Archangel Michael's army of light. Guided by Archangel Michael and Ascended Masters, Peter was guided on how to put together Tensor technology with palpable healing properties. His research led him to build Tensor rings (all cubits), crystals-infused pendants, Merkaba, healing coils, sound frequency amplifiers, PTSD restoratives, and more.  When wearing Peter's pendants and anklets or using his various energy tools, they connect to your auric field to create a protective light around your subtle bodies of light. This force field will protect your core energy from lower influences, including environmental, building, negative energies/entities, and people. They work directly with your conscious intentions. Peter Benson uses his advanced knowledge of both technology and quantum physics to bridge the gap between science and consciousness. In every product, Peter taps into the energy frequencies of potent healing to help you remove existing patterns that stand in the way of achieving optimum health, happiness, and financial freedom. Arden Sr. and Peter were surprised by the early onset and intensity of Chris' substance use. They join Diana to talk about the professionals they hired and how having financial resources was not the only solution to finding appropriate care for Chris. Arden Sr. reveals the helpful advice she received on their journey and which characteristics of the O'Connor family helped them survive and grow.   IN THIS EPISODE:   [02:10] Peter and Arden Sr. were surprised about their youngest son's addiction problem.  [11:45] Paying for professionals kept their son alive. However, throwing money at a problem won't fix it.   [14:20] Helpful advice that Arden Sr. received as a mom of an addict.   [20:20] How Chris prepared Arden for working with people who suffer from addiction.   [26:30] The characteristics of the O'Connor family that helped them survive and grow.    KEY TAKEAWAYS:   You can't just throw money at a problem and solve it.  It's important to live in a community when finding sobriety, especially in early recovery.  It may be best to give your loved one a wake-up call by removing them from your home. Forgiveness is a difficult step in the recovery process. However, it will be essential when it comes to navigating the disease of addiction.    LINKS MENTIONED:   O'Connor Professional Group   https://oconnorpg.com/   BIO:   Peter and Arden O'Connor Sr., parents of Arden O'Connor, Founder and CEO of O'Connor Professional Group, share their experiences navigating the behavioral health care system with their youngest son, Chris. A dedicated and compassionate stay at home mom, Arden Sr. graduated from SUNY Stony Brook and worked as a probation officer, where she witnessed clients with an array of behavioral health issues.    Despite their personal and professional knowledge base, Arden Sr. and Peter were taken aback by the early onset and intensity of Chris' substance abuse. Over the course of fifteen years, Chris cycled through 15 different rehabilitation programs, was prescribed over 25 medications, and worked with approximately 30 different clinical professionals. After spending countless hours doing their own research, hiring family lawyers, and investing over half a million dollars in Chris' care, Arden Sr. and Peter were confused, exhausted and frustrated. Like many families, they couldn't believe the level of turmoil and tragedy that Chris' addiction caused in their otherwise harmonious, talented and blessed family.

My guest today is Peter Lehrman the Founder and CEO of Axial, and we’re going to be talking about the market of buying and selling privately held companies, the inefficiencies as well as the progress. Peter is CEO and founder of Axial, responsible for delivering the company’s vision to become the trusted platform where private companies and their trusted advisors connect with capital. Prior to Axial, Peter worked in private equity at SFW Capital Partners and was part of the founding team at Gerson Lehrman Group, where he helped to build the company’s global technology platform for on-demand business expertise. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and received his MBA from Stanford Business School. He lives in New York with his wife Eve and their four children. If you’re a business owner thinking about selling for the first time, and you have no idea where to start, this episode is for you. There’s a ton of information out there about how and when to sell your company, but not all advice is weighted equal. Bad advice goes a long way to souring your view on selling your company. Let’s turn to a market expert who will share how to find and assess M&A advisors that align with your goals. Peter Lehrman is the Founder and CEO of Axial — a marketplace where small businesses can find their next M&A advisor, investor or buyer — and he’ll help clarify what areas you need to educate yourself in and how best to achieve that education in time to make a positive difference in the sales process. On today’s show, we talk about inefficiencies between the buyer and seller, the state of the marketplace and the trends with entrepreneurs through acquisition (ETAs) in the lower middle market space. This is an awesome episode full of smart insights into the booming market of mergers and acquisitions. What You Will Learn The inefficiencies in small business M&A and Peters solution The valuation process Peter takes when working with a small business The process of the buyers and sellers engagement within Axial Why it’s important to know what the buyer and sellers want and why right from the start of the deal How you can make more money as an M&A advisor in middle market organizations Why selling a bigger business can be easier than a smaller one The structural challenge with small businesses that Peter is striving to solve Why Peter sees ETA (entrepreneur through acquisition) as a growing category in the M&A industry and what that means for the M&A market The trends on the buyer’s side of an acquisition - and what a lot of acquisition entrepreneurs want and why How sellers have so many options in today's market dynamic do to the amount of investment capital right now Bio: Peter is CEO of Axial and responsible for driving the company’s vision to be the trusted platform where private companies connect with capital.
