Brad and Bobby, discuss the changing IT landscape, as well as how a staffing agency can help reduce the liability your company takes on when looking for new employees or qualified candidates. Traditional staffing requires you to assume full responsibility for that employee, which can have a large impact if that employee doesn't work out. However, staffing agencies are a great way to alleviate the responsibility while maintaining productivity. Tune into this week's episode to find out more about how a staffing agency can help you! “Most companies use staffing at some point. The biggest reason why is that a company's biggest liability is its workforce. You have to put in lots of money, and lots of resources into maintaining those people, or those employees. Today's episode discusses the pros and cons of working remotely, specifically in the IT industry. Brad and Bobby discuss the changing IT landscape, as well as the effectiveness of remote workers. They discuss points such as relationship building, teamwork, and efficiency as they analyze the various aspects of remote work in the IT field. Hear what these tech experts have to say on the subject in this week's episode. “Should an IT person be able to expect to get an IT job and work 100% from home? Is that a thing yet, or is it in the future? Yeah, I mean, right now, technically, you can do it because we're in COVID. But over the past couple of years, we have seen that trend more and more the way it's going. I mean, we are having people be remote. I know. 15 years ago, in the corporate world, I remember guys saying all the time I could do this from home, even back then, 15 years ago, we could have worked from home connected to everything.” Brad Anderson, CEO of TechBridge, a Salt Lake City IT staffing company, and Bobby Glen James, Author, Speaker, and founder of BoTecha IT Support discuss the pros and cons of working remotely in the IT industry in the New IT podcast episode, “Working Remotely In IT” For more information on IT staffing and recruiting in Salt Lake City, visit https://techbridgeinc.com

Today's episode discusses the necessity of soft skills in the IT industry. Brad and Bobby discuss the changing IT landscape, and the benefits of on-premises vs in the Cloud, analyzing the flexibility, reliability, and security of both. In such a competitive field, it's crucial to receive maximum benefits from every decision. Hear what these tech experts have to say about soft skills in this week's episode. “On-premises or in the Cloud? With these niches and the specialty and when people talk about Cloud services, it's kind of basically taking things away from in-house, on-premises, on property. How is that going to affect an IT person looking for a job? It's not going to affect the job market at all. I mean, IT is becoming more specialized. Like how we were saying things are becoming more niche. Well, companies are adapting and the big cloud providers I mean, you've got Azure, you've got Google. you've got AWS, and all of these companies that are starting to understand, and so what they're doing is they're creating certifications. So you still have your DevOps team, but your DevOps team doesn't have to be on site. You don't have to have your servers on-site, so it's kind of the best of both worlds. so, no, it's not really being affected, but you are going to have to be certified more and understand and know exactly what to do.” Brad Anderson, CEO of TechBridge, a Salt Lake City IT staffing company, and Bobby Glen James, Author, Speaker, and founder of BoTecha IT Support discuss the importance of degrees in the IT industry in the New IT podcast episode, “Why Do You Need Soft Skills In IT?” For more information on IT staffing and recruiting in Salt Lake City, visit https://techbridgeinc.com

Soft skills are necessary for effective communication between IT professionals and consumers. Hear what these tech experts have to say about soft skills in this week's episode. “I think it's more important that you do have those soft skills. You can't just say here, here's my work, and then just email it over. No, those days are gone. You literally have to you know and possibly walk people through what exactly it is you've done, and you've got to articulate it in a way that people can understand.” Brad Anderson, CEO of TechBridge, a Salt Lake City IT staffing company, and Bobby Glen James, Author, Speaker, and founder of BoTecha IT Support discuss the importance of degrees in the IT industry in the New IT podcast episode, “Why Do You Need Soft Skills In IT?” For more information on IT staffing and recruiting in Salt Lake City, visit https://techbridgeinc.com

One of the things we need to be talking about first and foremost is do you really need a degree in IT?” Brad Anderson, CEO of TechBridge, a Salt Lake City IT staffing company, and Bobby Glen James, Author, Speaker, and founder of BoTecha IT Support discuss the importance of degrees in the IT industry in the New IT podcast episode, “To Degree or Not To Degree?” For more information on IT staffing and recruiting in Salt Lake City, visit https://techbridgeinc.com

SEGMENT 1: For many small business owners, starting a business is a dream of financial freedom; doing what they love and working when they want. Unfortunately, more often, it becomes a personal prison where they are required to work more hours than any job they've ever had and serve customers they dislike. How do you identify if starting a business will be a personal prison or financial freedom for you? David Neagle, founder of Life Is Now, Inc, discusses four questions every aspiring small business owner needs to ask in order to set themselves up for success.SEGMENT 2: Many companies are battling dysfunctional cultures that are holding them back, but it doesn't have to be this way. Doug Brooks, author of “If This Book Doesn't Help, It Might be You”, shares how to correct dysfunctional corporate culture, including the actions (and inactions), people and processes that contribute to negative cultures.SEGMENT 3: One of the biggest barriers to our success is that we do not hold ourselves accountable and we are not accountable to others around us - our team, our customers and our vendors. Bobby Glen James, an Accountability Leadership keynote speaker, is here to share why we don't do the things we say we're going to, and how we can change that.Sponsored by Nextiva, LinkedIn, vCita and Blue Summit Supplies
