It first appeared on Reddit. Photos of a man and his family vandalizing Corona Arch on BLM land in Utah. The BLM started an investigation into the matter, and in the meantime the man was identified by the internet. Ryan Andersen and his wife Jen were identified quickly and they were of course beset by the fury of the internet. Ryan's business, Andersen Hitches in Idaho Falls, also suffered from a lot of bad reviews online prompted by people upset at his actions. Ryan Andersen released a statement apologizing for his behavior and promising to adopt a Leave No Trace ethic and support the defense of public land. He also promised to pay for the damage to be repaired.

This year it will also feature the Montana State Timbersports Team. They also talk about the Joshua Tree National Natural Landmark in Southern Utah. Joshua Trees were once distributed by a now extinct. giant sloth and they were named by Mormon pioneers. All of this is true.

Taylor Powers' pick for Halloween is the Haunted Forest & Haunted Hollow in American Fork. It's billed as the scariest Halloween attraction around and looks awesome. It takes place outdoors in a forest, so it's extra spooky. Ethan Millard's pick for this Halloween is Zombie Paintball Patrol at McCoard's Garden Center. It's in Provo, and you get to hunt zombies for Halloween. Awesome.

Clark Historic Farm in Grantsville, Utah, is hosting the Honey Harvest Festival Oct 13th & 14th. Things can change quickly at such a high elevation. Taylor also reviews some hot springs near Meadow, Utah. They are open to the public, but are on private land. So be kind.

It's this weekend, October 7th. It features all kind of paranormal issues including ufos, ghosts, psychics, bigfoot, aliens, zombies, and witches. Also this weekend is Mountain Gravity Expo. This is dedicated to extreme sports. Specifically, they try to teach people how to enjoy outdoor sports in a safe way.

The best part is how much cooler they are inside than up on the desert floor. Taylor also highly recommends camping and mountain biking in the Vernal area. Most people think of Dinosaurs. Hit up downtown Salt Lake City for the Salt Lake Greek Festival Sept 8- 10 and then one week later for the Festa Italiana Sept 16 & 17. The Greek Festival is the granddaddy of cultural festivals in Utah, and the Festa Italiana is doing pasta & pizza eating competitions. Try them both!

It was very embarrassing. They also talk about the old mining town of Ophir, Utah. Even at popular ski resorts, altitude sickness symptoms can turn a beautiful day in the mountains into a total nightmare. Plus, Taylor talks about City Creek Canyon, a beautiful wild spot right next to downtown Salt Lake City. It's close, but it makes you feel like you've gone far away.
Craft Lake City is an awesome DIY/ maker event that is as inspiring as it is fun. Definitely take your children and let them experience the creativity and innovation that drives our society. Another great event coming up is Salt Lake City's Yappy Hour. Yappy Hour is hosted by Salt Lake City and Gallivan Center Events and held monthly. They put up an off leash play are for dogs, then entertain and feed the humans. The event is free, but you have to pay for the food. The next event is August 14, 2017 6-9 pm at Pioneer Park. Expect to see Tony Holiday and the Velvetones, Marquesas Corn Dogs, La Salsita Grill, Daily Rise Expresso.
The Tour Of Utah is one of the biggest annual events in Utah. Elite cyclists from all over the world to try what's recognized as one of the worlds most beautiful- and challenging- stage races. Your Utah hosts Taylor Powers & Ethan Millard review this year's tour. Ethan saw the final two stages. He picked a spot with his kids at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon for Stage 6 and at the corner of South Temple and State Street for Stage 7. Taylor reviewed a hike she did at Park City. Armstrong trail is accessible from central Park City and is well shaded and beautiful. It's near Silver Star Cafe so you have a place to grab a snack and relax after the hike.
This weekend, the Tour Of Utah holds two stages in the Salt Lake Valley. Saturday's race ends at Snowbird, after travelling all the way from Heber. Sunday's race is a circuit around Downtown Salt Lake. The cyclists will lap the city 11 times. It's always free to hang out along the course and cheer the riders as they pass.

Ethan Millard took his kids out to see the old ghost town of Delle, Utah. They were wanting to see something spooky and abandoned and this fit the bill perfectly.
Your Utah host Taylor Powers finally had a chance to visit the famous Living Room in the foothills above Salt Lake City's University neighborhood. The trail is short and well traveled, and it takes you to a series of locations where large stones have been arranged into pieces of furniture. The view of the valley is awesome. Ethan Millard took a trip to Smith & Morehouse reservoir. It's a small lake near the top of the Weber River. The water is cold and the view is spectacular. It really is a mountain lake. There is camping and fishing. Wake rules are enforced so there are mostly canoes and paddleboards.
Every Friday night at dusk, Snowbird screens a free family movie. The films are projected on the side of the tram house and you're welcome to bring coolers and lawn chairs. Remember your jacket. It's beautiful but vandals have been up there ruining it. The canyon is part of Uinta- Wasatch- Cache national Forest and dogs are allowed (on leash only) The trail head can be found at the top of Cottonwood Heights.
Host Ethan Millard took his kids to Loveland Living Planet Aquarium and was really surprised at how comprehensive and fun the experience was. There is an area to actually touch sea life and really great exhibit on Utah lake stream habitat. The aquarium is in Draper, with good visibility from I-15. Host Taylor Powers reviews her experience floating the Weber River. Her trip was guided by Barefoot Tubing, though there are several outfits that will provide you with tubes, life jackets, and shuttle your group to and from the river. Ethan Millard provides some new information on the famous Mirror Lake. High up in the Uinta Mountains, Mirror Lake is cold year round and amazingly beautiful. There are established campsites that can be used for a fee. There is also a fee for day use. The lake is open to non motorized watercraft and fishing.
The CARE Fair is one of Utah's most impactful community events. The fair provides health services to anyone who may need them. From dental cleanings to pelvic exams, all is offered free of charge. In partnering with the University of Utah School of Medicine and School of Dentistry, the CARE Fair brings quality health care to the entire community. There are a number of great services for children and families. Immunizations will be updated for children who need them, and bike helmets will be given out for free. The CARE Fair also gives away child car seats and makes sure they are the right size for your children and that they're installed correctly. Bring the kids to the plaza for prizes, entertainment, face painting, inflatable games, a petting zoo, and a train. The two remaining Family Fun Days are July 11 and August 8. The Your Utah hosts, Taylor Powers and Ethan Millard, also talk about a few other Gallivan events that are more for grown ups during the work week. Make sure you hit up the Lunch Bunch Concert Series for a great lunch time escape. Lunch Bunch Concerts are held (almost) every day from 12pm- 1pm.
