The Philadelphia Union have embarked on their 2025 season, and they have been awesome out of the gate. It has been an unexpected start for the Union who are now ranked 2nd in MLS within the Eastern Conference. Great goaltending and a difference in philosophy with a new head coach are just a couple of the reasons why. We dove into the start of this season with Josh Shuster from PhiladelphiaSoccerNow.com. A great discussion all-around!But first, the guys discussed the start of the Phillies season, concerns, and also what is the least of their concerns. (Approx. 6:55)From there, the guys talked about new NFL rule changes coming to the league in 2025, and how the Eagles will be looking at this upcoming NFL Draft. (Approx. 17:25)Then the guys dove into how the Sixers are tanking nicely at the end of this season, and the chances they'll be able to keep their first-round pick this year. (Approx. 34:00)The Flyers front office fired John Tortorella, and the team has been winning as a result. Is this good for their draft prospects this year? (Approx. 41:50)What they threw down on the Table this week was a fantastic and in-depth discussion with Josh Shuster from Philadelphia Soccer Now about how the Union are making positive strides at the start of the MLS season. What are the differences we are seeing between new head coach Bradley Carnell and his predecessor, Jim Curtin? Players who have been the biggest surprise and disappointment thus far. Tai Baribo and Andre Blake are having some stellar starts to their seasons! All of this and much more this week on the Table! Since the dawn of Pat Noonan's tenure, the “Master vs. Student” showdown has fueled the matchup between Cincinnati and Philadelphia. But time marches on—Jim Curtin has left, and Noonan has finally become the teacher. What has become of the Union, now that the coaching carousel has come to town? For this sparring session, we bring in JP Zapata, "El Parcero Philly" himself, to tap gloves between Big Brother and Little Brother. This time around, the roles may be reversed with FC Cincinnati as the prizefighter, but if Philadelphia's win over Orlando says anything, the Union still have a puncher's chance. KB & Harrison are BACK and kick things off with the 76ers doom season continuing as an alleged team meeting happened following the team's loss to Miami where Tyrese Maxey "challenged" Joel Embiid to be on time and be great. The boys just do not see how this season gets better... Then they get set for Sunday Night Football as the Eagles prepare to take on the Rams in a big time frisky matchup that has some similarities to 2017. Then they talk some Flyers, Zack Wheeler being SNUBBED for the NL Cy Young Award but is still on a HOF trajectory. Then the guys discuss the first Juan Soto x Phillies rumor, Roki Sasaki, stadium and venue sponsorships, and the Union firing Jim Curtin.
