THIS IS BRAZIL!The last month has been a roller coaster when it comes to the Drivers and Constructors Championship. As rain, the great equalizer, became a certainty for the Brazilian GP, we found ourselves licking our chops at the battle we were sure to witness amongst the frontrunning teams. Instead, Max Verstappen displayed one of the greatest driving performances of all time. We discuss the odds that were stacked against him as well as what this does for his legacy. While Max found himself dancing in the rain, McLaren and driver Lando Norris put forward a performance that left much to be desired. In one race, their path to a Drivers championship was as good as done while the path to a Constructors title suddenly became perilous. All this while Alpine, a team often relegated to the bottom half of the field, found themselves rounding out the podium and bringing home a season's worth of points.Take a listen as we break down the race, the crashes, and the surrounding storylines of the 2024 Brazilian GP

With Fernando Alonso potentially missing out due to illness, Brazilian fans could see local hero Felipe Drugovich take the wheel for Aston Martin. This could be a thrilling twist, especially for those who have been waiting to see their own racing on home turf. But that's not all—arguably the biggest buzz surrounds Franco Colapinto, an Argentine driver catching Red Bull's eye as a future star. Could he be the next big thing in F1, stealing the spotlight and sponsorship dollars, or will Liam Lawson stay ahead in the lineup?Meanwhile, Red Bull faces crucial challenges at the iconic Interlagos circuit, where slow-speed corners might slow down their usual dominance, with grid penalties also looming. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz could be perfectly positioned to take advantage, showing strong form in recent races. And don't count out McLaren's Lando Norris, who has a solid chance of clinching victory on a track that plays to McLaren's strengths. Welcome to the latest episode of Track Limits Podcast, where Henny, Feven, and Swish share their thoughts on the recently concluded Brazilian Grand Prix. This marks the final sprint race weekend on the calendar, and it certainly lived up to the expectations. Red Bull showed they had learned from past mistakes, concentrating their efforts on a long-run plan during FP1. In contrast, Mercedes struggled to find the right car setup, battling issues ranging from high drag to tire degradation and overheating. It was a weekend Mercedes would rather put behind them, with disappointing results in the sprint race, a P8 finish for Lewis Hamilton, and a DNF for George Russell.Following a challenging DNF in his home Grand Prix, Sergio Perez returned with a singular focus: to maximize the weekend and move closer to securing P2 in the drivers' championship. With a podium finish in the sprint race and a thrilling last-lap showdown with Fernando Alonso for P3, it appears that Perez has regained his confidence in the Red Bull car.Is Charles Leclerc the unluckiest driver of the year? That's up for debate. His DNF during the formation lap sums up a year that hasn't gone as planned for both Charles and Ferrari. Meanwhile, Lando Norris delivered another impressive performance, moving from P6 to P2 with a strong start and excellent tire management. On the other hand, Oscar Piastri endured damage right from the race's outset and spent most of his time at the back of the grid.Looking ahead, in just two weeks, we have one of the most highly anticipated races on the calendar: the Las Vegas Grand Prix. For many, this race, set under the vibrant lights of the Vegas Strip, is a cause for celebration. However, for some drivers, it's seen more as a show than a traditional race. The track layout will favour teams with strong straight-line speed, and outfits like Williams, McLaren, and Red Bull will strive to maximize their car's performance on this unique circuit.Thank you to our friends at Manta Sleep for sponsoring our podcast. 3 races to go for the 2023 Formula 1 season to conclude...or make that 4 if you are one of those who counts a Sprint as an extra race! Btw, is it the Brazil Grand Prix or the Sao Paulo Grand Prix - what name did you grow up to? Interlagos is a very popular racing venue. It stands for 'between the lakes' in Portuguese. If there's one circuit we don't mind the Sprint at, it's this. Lewis Hamilton's charge to the front in the Sprint and Grand Prix in 2021 is still fresh in our memory. In this episode of the Inside Line F1 Podcast, Soumil Arora, @f1statsguru and Kunal Shah preview the 2023 Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Will we see a different team step up to claim P2 behind Max Verstappen? Will Verstappen's dominant win-all-races continue at Interlagos? Yes, Red Bull Racing messed it up at Interlagos last year. But most Formula 1 teams don't repeat mistakes.  But what do the stats say? As @f1statsguru points out, the pole sitter of the Hungarian Grand Prix has gone to win the Sao Paulo Grand Prix since many years. If this trend continues, Lewis Hamilton will win top honours this Sunday. In this episode, the trio talk about the unique characteristics of Interlagos, expectant weather this weekend, Williams' chances and if Aston Martin's decline in form and results will continue. We've see three different pole sitters in the last three years - remember Kevin Magnussen? And we've had three different race winners in the last three years. Let's see who takes top honours this weekend...two times over! Tune in! Welcome to the latest episode of Track Limits Podcast, where Henny, Feven, and Mikey with special guest Victoria share their thoughts on the recently concluded Mexico Grand Prix.Checo Perez's home race held great promise, but a series of tough races left him hungry for a strong finish. Qualifying showed his potential, yet his sole aim was a victory or a podium finish. With a spectacular start, he boldly went three-wide into the first corner, unfortunately colliding with Charles Leclerc, abruptly ending his race. A bitter disappointment for Perez, compounded by Lewis Hamilton closing in on the P2 spot in the driver championship.Teams were well aware of the track's challenges, featuring 25% lower air density and reduced downforce, demanding precise timing and balance to prevent brake and tire overheating. Race strategy emphasized tire management and brake cooling to minimize pit stops and driver errors.Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren executed impressive one-stop strategies (excluding the Red Flag), securing P2 for Hamilton, P3 for Leclerc, and a remarkable ascent from P17 to P5 by Lando Norris in the McLaren. Even AlphaTauri, the last-place team on the grid, showcased progress with Ricciardo finishing in P7.The next stop: the final race of the triple-header, the Brazil Grand Prix. This week Tom and Tristan discuss the controversial Brazil Grand Prix in which Hamilton got disqualified from qualifying, made up 15 places in the sprint race, and won the Grand Prix from 10th on the grid. Within this episode we discuss: Hamilton's disqualification and whether it was the correct penalty, the Max - Lewis racing incident and whether Verstappen pushed Hamilton off the track, and whether a 5 place grid penalty is enough for an engine change given the increased performance from running a new power unit. -- F1 Fantasy --Think you can do better at managing an F1 team than us?You can join our F1 in Review fantasy league using the link below!https://fantasy.formula1.com/league/84054Alternatively you can use our league code: 31851ad89d -- Find F1 in Review on your favourite podcast streaming platform -- Apple Podcasts/Google Podcastshttps://podfollow.com/1524202018 Spotifyhttps://sptfy.com/f1inreview -- Find Us On Social Media --Official F1 in ReviewTwitter - twitter.com/F1inReviewTristan FancourtTwitter - twitter.com/tristanfancourtTom Clabon Twitter - twitter.com/teclabonLiv PerryTwitter - twitter.com/livperry99--Production Details --Presented by: Tom Clabon, Tristan Fancourt, Liv Perry, and Angus GallagerProduced by: Tom Clabon, Tristan Fancourt, Liv Perry, and Angus GallagerEdited by: Tristan FancourtExecutive Producer: Tristan Fancourt See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Sports fan and podcaster Sam Bartram takes listeners on an exploration of the latest sporting events and dissects them in his own inimitable style. Sam delves into the big talking points and controversies - and there are quite a few! Also this week, Sam gives a particularly grudging congratulations to Australia on their T20 World Cup win, looks back on an England goal bonanza and welcomes three English managers to new premier league jobs. To round the pod off nicely, Sam looks back at the life and career of a cricketing god - yes, of course that's Ben Stokes! He is this week's sporting icon. In this Pits to Podium segment of the Inside Line F1 Podcast, Soumil and Kunal hope that the Formula 1 title doesn't get decided before the season-ending race in Abu Dhabi. The irony is that after every race, the feeling has been that one team-driver would run away with the title only to see the rival team-driver strike back harder in the following race. Let's hope this trend continues till the last lap of the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix! Also, has Ferrari pulled away for good from Mclaren? Just how much better are Hamilton-Perez compared to Bottas-Perez? Tune in to for our key talking points from the 2021 Brazil GP, a Lewis Hamilton overtaking fest.
