In this interview with  @peterwindsor    we discuss Max Verstappen and Red Bull and how long with Verstappen stay with Christian Horner and his Red Bull outfit and what Red Bull need to do to keep 4-time F1 champion Verstappen happy in order for him to stay.  @peterwindsor   talks about the F1 2025 and explains why he think Lando Norris should be favourite for the season and why Lando has everything it takes to challenge for the drivers' championship next year despite the massive challenge he faces driving alongside Oscar Piastri and solving for McLaren's operational struggles and inability to make key decisions at critical times in 2024.  @peterwindsor   predicts whether Lewis Hamilton will beat Charles Leclerc at Ferrari next year and Peter explains why F1 fans should keep their eyes on Fernando Alonso in 2025 as well as 2026 and what people fail to realise about Adrian Newey's strength as an F1 mind.  @peterwindsor   reflects on why Red Bull are an unknown entity going into 2025 and why a flexi front wing, mini-drs and a bespoke, track specific rear wing might not be the answer to their problems. We talk about swearing gate, and Peter Windsor talks about what the drivers need to be able to navigate press and media without using colourful language and or expletives.  @peterwindsor   talks about his experience with Gilles Villeneuve and the Canadian did that Ayrton Senna would never dream of doing! Windsor talks about his experience of Zolder 1982 and the tragic incident that took Gilles' life.  @peterwindsor   talks about his expectations of Audi and why the signing of Red Bull's Jonathan Wheatley might propel them to success sooner than even Mattia Binotto anticipates. Why it might be a good thing that Checo Perez retires instead of coming back to F1 with Cadiallac F1 in 2026.

¿o no? Round 14 of the Formula One World Championship took us to the Circuit de Spa Francorchamps for the Belgian Grand Prix with another slow burn with the inclusion of a shocking twist after the race. A masterclass in strategy from George Russell and Mercedes saw the Brit go on a one-stopper and whisper his hard tires for over 30 laps to hold off the charge of teammate Lewis Hamilton and the McLaren of Oscar Piastri right to the flag. It wasn't to be however, with Russell suffering a post race DSQ as his Mercedes was found to be underweight, promoting Hamilton to his 2nd win in the last 3 races. Elsewhere around the paddock, Alpine ran a special Deadpool livery around Spa and are debating moving to Mercedes power, Alonso came out criticizing the FIA once again, and the internet was outraged at Max Verstappen's sim racing sleep schedule. Mattia Binotto has officially joined the Audi F1 project, the points system will not be changed, and Ocon officially signed with Haas. Formula 2 coverage wrapped up a great week On The Gravel as we head into the summer break and some quality time off before the Dutch GP at the end of August. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Rumours over the past week suggested that Mattia Binotto might be set to take over from Otmar Szafnauer as Team Principal at Alpine. The French squad's poor start to 2023 led to public criticism earlier this month from CEO Laurent Rossi, leading some to suggest that Szafnauer's position may be under threat. But even if Alpine are keen to ring the changes, would Binotto be in a position to take over, and would he even want the job?Joining host Balve Bains to discuss the last week in F1 are RacingNews365.com Asia Correspondent Michael Butterworth and Editorial Director Dieter Rencken.Red Bull reserve driver Daniel Ricciardo had a seat fitting at AlphaTauri earlier this week, but does this mean he's set to step in and replace the underperforming Nyck de Vries? Why have Pirelli applied to the FIA to change the specification of the sport's tyres? How is the technical partnership between Red Bull and Ford shaping up?And what can we expect from this weekend's Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola? All this and much more, on this edition of the RacingNews365.com podcast!

Autosport F1 - Formula 1 and Motorsport

The latest Flat Chat podcast from GP Racing magazine leads on Valtteri Bottas becoming the first and possibly the last F1 driver on the cover with a moustache and mullet. Bottas is the subject of an exclusive no-holds-barred interview (and an unusual photo shoot) in GP Racing this month. Now free of the corporate leash he's enjoying life – and racing – once again. He explains why he rejected advice to ‘be more evil' while at Mercedes and why he's taking a stand for drivers to be able to express themselves. GP Racing columnists Mark Gallagher and Matt Kew join editor Stuart Codling to discuss this latest incarnation of Bottas as well as some of the most recent developments in F1. As senior Ferrari engineer David Sanchez leaves for McLaren, the panel reflect on the chaos which seems to be enveloping the teams currently in the wake of the dominant Red Bull outfit. If former Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto was as much a victim of regime change in the boardroom as of operational problems on track, why is his successor Frederic Vasseur – the preferred choice of the new executives – seemingly at loggerheads with CEO Benedetto Vigna? While team principal and senior executive squabble over peripheral topics such as who gets a paddock pass, the team has bigger issues to face: a car concept that may not be working and a lead driver, Charles Leclerc, who may be on the verge of throwing Ferrari over for a better offer when his contract expires. At McLaren, meanwhile, what is the thinking behind yet another management restructure? Having dropped the much-derided 'matrix management' system three years ago in favour of a conventional top-down hierarchy, McLaren's decision to have three technical leaders represents a major pivot. Elsewhere on the grid another team with a new leader, Williams, has enjoyed an unexpectedly positive start to the season considering the latest upheaval over the winter. First impressions are that new boss James Vowles is taking exactly the right approach to dealing with the problems which have pegged Williams back in recent years: measured and diplomatic, but decisive, as befits a leader with a background in engineering and strategy. It's the opposite tactic to that recently adopted by AlphaTauri boss Franz Tost, who seems to be following the playbook of Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur by throwing his backroom staff under the bus… Learn more about your ad choices. Tom Clarkson, Natalie Pinkham and Damon Hill are joined by Ferrari's Carlos Sainz and his performance coach Rupert Manwaring, Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto and Jesus Balseiro from Spanish newspaper Diario AS, as they debrief all the action direct from the paddock. Sergio Perez's father, Antonio Perez, also joins in on the celebrations as he describes how proud he felt seeing his son take P2 after a phenomenal drive.
