Una carrera a la altura del 75 aniversario El GP de Reino Unido ha sido una oda al automovilismo, una de esas carreras que siempre vas a recordar, si tuviste el placer de verla, y además casa de manera perfecta con una fecha histórica en la Fórmula 1. Este año se celebra el 75 aniversario del campeonato, que empezó su andadura allá por 1950 celebrando su primera carrera precisamente en Silverstone, y que quereis que os diga, pero tener una carrera de este estilo en esta fecha, me parece poético (Resumen rápido) 2. Victoria de Norris en casa que lo acerca al título (-8 pts con Piastri) Y en todo este jaleo de carrera entre lluvia y sanciones, Lando Norris fue el vencedor, consiguiendo su cuarto triunfo de la temporada, el octavo de su trayectoria y el primero en su carrera de casa. Decía Norris “Sin contar ser campeón del Mundo, esto es lo mejor que hay) 3. Piastri contrariado. Le sancionaron por calentar los frenos durante el SC Óscar Piastri fue el segundo clasificado de este Gran Premio, y muy probablemente no nos equivocamos si afirmamos que fue el mejor piloto del fin de semana, pero una polémica sanción lo arrastró al segundo lugar (Explicación de sanción [Deceleración 166 km/h]) 4. ¡PODIO DE NICO HULKENBERG! Y si, así es, Nico Hulkenberg, con un Kick Sauber, después de 242 carreras, y saliendo desde la 19ª posición, se alzó con su ansiado podio. Un piloto que ha pasado por Williams, Force India, Renault, Sauber, Haas, que ha sido ganador de las 24h de Le Mans, y que, para muchos, aun no había demostrado nada… Incierto, en mi opinión, un piloto talentoso, que no ha tenido suerte, pero cuando Audi confía en ti para su nuevo proyecto, es por algo. Me alegro por él, se lo merecía. 5. Gran rendimiento de Lewis Hamilton aunque frena su racha en Silverstone Lewis Hamilton llegaba a Silverstone con números que daban miedo… Él ganó aquí el año pasado, elevando a 9 el total de triunfos en esta pista (La cifra más alta de un piloto en un circuito) pero, además, tenía una racha de podios consecutivos desde 2013 que se ha visto frenada tras este cuarto puesto con Ferrari. Aún así, iguala su mejor resultado con el equipo italiano, demostró un buen nivel durante toda la carrera, y acabó delante de un Leclerc que, en esta carrera loca, ni siquiera fue capaz de entrar en los puntos. 6. Verstappen P5. Cometió un error, y calificó de “Extrema” la sanción a Piastri Max Verstappen salía desde la pole position, aguantó todo lo que pudo a Piastri, y tras ser adelantado, llegó el dicho incidente con el Australiano. Tras esto, cometió en error en esa misma relanzada al perder el control de su coche en la curva 15 que lo mandó fuera del Top-10. Pese a todo no se rindió y consiguió una fantástica quinta plaza. Ya no está en la terna para luchar por el campeonato, eso es cosa de los McLaren, pero por lo menos nos seguirá dando pequeños destellos de auténtico crack. Fernando Alonso de nuevo en los puntos, pero pudo ser mejor que P9 Fernando de nuevo estuvo en los puntos, pero en una carrera loca siempre esperas pescar algo más que un noveno puesto, y más cuando sales P7. Se quejó amargamente de la estrategía aludiendo al buen trabajo con el coche de Stroll y la paupérrima ejecución en su lado. Las mejoras en el coche parecen funcionar, aunque es cierto que aún se necesita mucho más. 8. Carlos Sainz lo intentó, pero un incidente con Leclerc lo dejó sin opciones El piloto madrileño partió desde el décimo lugar y se vió luchando por el P7-P8 durante buena parte de la carreras, pero un incidente con Charles Leclerc tiro por tierra sus opciones (Explicarlo) Decía Carlos que estaba un poco cansado de esta situación, no del hecho de que Charles se lo haya llevado puesto, sino de que siempre que está en una posición de lograr puntos esta temporada, les pase algo. 9. Colapinto mal sábado, y sin poder empezar el domingo Empiezan a sonar las sirenas en el box de Colapinto, y es que al argentino no le esta saliendo absolutamente nada desde que sustituyó a Jack Dohaan en Alpine. Error el sábado que lo relego al último lugar de la parrilla y, para colmo, cuando iba a comenzar la carrera, entró en boxes a realizar un cambió de neumáticos y su coche se quedó parado impidiendole comenzar. Malas noticias en un fin de semana en el que el argentino estuvo por delante de Gasly durante todas las sesiones de libres. 10. Gran rendimiento de Gasly (P6) y de Albon (P8) En el otro lado del box de Alpine, Gasly lo hizo fenomenal: metió el coche en la Q3, y rascó una fantástica sexta posición. Y si miramos quien más puntuó en esta carrera, tenemos a Alexander Albon, que alcanzó una fantástica P8, que otorga un puñado de puntos a Williams, que poco a poco ve como su rendimiento se va diluyendo. 11. Fin de semana para olvidar en Mercedes. Russell P10 y Antonelli DNF Supongo que habéis echado de menos que no hable de Mercedes, y es que si, tuvieron un fin de semana para olvidar. Kimi Antonelli se tuvo que retirar tras ser arroyado por Hadjar, y George Russell solo pudo ser P10 al no encajar de manera adecuada la estratégia de carrera. Ferrari se les escapa ligeramente en su lucha en el campeonato de constructores por el segundo lugar en el campeonato 12. La zona media se vuelve loca 40 puntos hay entre Williams (P5) y Alpine (P10). 30 puntos si lo comparamos con Haas (P9). La zona media se intensifica, y Kick Sauber sube del P9 al P6 con el podio de Nico Hulkenberg y con la consecución de 4 GP's consecutivos puntuando. Excelente fin de semana el pasado, con una Fórmula 1 que dio un excelente espectáculo y un Rally Acrópolis, como siempre, muy vistoso, pero, además con un Tänak imperial. El Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1 analiza en el primer programa de la semana la carrera en Spielberg, llena de buenas luchas, estrategia, adelantamientos, polémicas y accidentes. Austria: McLaren al límite, Alonso magistral y Williams en crisis. El Gran Premio de Austria nos dejó una excelente, gracias a una carrera llena de emoción, estrategias variadas, adelantamientos y varios incidentes clave. Desde las sesiones libres y la clasificación, el fin de semana ya prometía, y la carrera del domingo no decepcionó. La lucha interna entre los McLaren, los problemas de varios equipos y las maniobras de algunos veteranos marcaron un GP con ingredientes de gran calidad, que es como se cocina algo delicioso. McLaren ofreció una batalla vibrante entre sus dos pilotos. Muy bien Norris aguantando todo y plantando cara realmente a Piastri. Logró mantener la posición inicial frente a un Piastri muy agresivo desde la primera vuelta. El equipo permitió el duelo directo entre ellos, lo que generó tensión y emoción en cada vuelta. En la vuelta 11 se dio un adelantamiento y contraataque entre ambos, y en la vuelta 20, Piastri casi provoca un accidente entre compañeros. A pesar de ello, el equipo no impuso órdenes, algo que tendrán que hacérselo ver. Muy mal Williams con los dos coches abandonando y con Sainz ni pudiendo hacer la salida. Y muy bien Alonso, que es un perro viejo y volvió a hacer una de sus alonsadas. Maravilloso que tenga ya los mismos puntos que Stroll (y lo que le queda). Verstappen: poco que hacer. Otro punto relevante fue el incidente en la vuelta 1, cuando Antonelli se llevó por delante a Verstappen y tuvo que salir el coche de seguridad. Tsunoda, por su parte, protagonizó una jornada polémica: primero al sacar a Stroll de pista en la vuelta 18 y luego con un toque a Colapinto en la 31, lo que le costó una sanción de 10 segundos. En el paddock, su frustración era visible. Pero Colapinto tampoco estuvo “sembrado”: estuvo a punto de provocar un incidente serio con Piastri, lo que le costó 5 segundos de penalización. Alonso y las estrategias. En cuanto a las estrategias, la carrera en Austria parecía que iba a ser a dos paradas, por el calor, pero hubo un par de pilotos que optaron por una sola parada: Alonso y Lawson. Alonso, siempre astuto, gestionó perfectamente su única parada y volvió a demostrar su maestría, aprovechando el DRS y las circunstancias de carrera. En las vueltas finales, el asturiano protagonizó un duelo con Bortoleto que captó la atención de todos, utilizando de forma inteligente las herramientas disponibles en pista y la circunstancia de ser doblado para sacar ventaja. Fue la estrella del corralito entre sus compañeros, especialmente con Lawson y Bortoleto. En resumen, Austria ofreció una carrera muy entretenida, con una mezcla de talento joven, experiencia, errores costosos y un dinamismo que mantuvo el interés hasta el final. McLaren consolidó su estado de forma, Ferrari se llevó el tercer y cuarto puestos, sin hacer aspavientos, y Alonso volvió a sacar oro de una situación complicada. Un fin de semana más que completo para los aficionados, en el que nos hubiera gustado mucho ver qué podía haber hecho Verstappen.
