Jacqueline Woods is the Chief Marketing Officer for Teradata, the cloud analytics and data platform for AI, headquartered in San Diego, California. Jacqueline joined Teradata from NielsenIQ, where she was a member of the executive leadership team and Global Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. She also spent nearly 10 years as CMO of the IBM Global Partner Ecosystem Division, where she focused on building cloud, data, AI, and SaaS strategies. Before that, she was Global Head of Customer Segmentation & Customer Experience at General Electric and also held roles of increasing responsibility at Oracle for 10 years, as well as leadership roles at Ameritech and GTE, now Verizon. Thankfully, Jacqueline has always loved math, because, as she points out, marketing today is based mostly on data. However, she also emphasizes the importance of empathy and notes that it is essential in creating a space where people can be authentic and drive innovation, productivity, and product design. Votre réaction?"C'est une mesure discriminatoire, qui est en contradiction avec les règles européennes très clairement, puisque les règles européennes prévoient qu'il ne doit pas y avoir d'entrave ou de discrimination basée sur la nationalité ou sur le lieu de résidence. On est donc clairement dans ce cas-là, puisqu'on fait une différence uniquement basée sur le fait qu'on travaillait en Suisse plutôt qu'en France. En clair, un salarié français qui touche 6'000 euros, il est indemnisé d'une certaine façon, un salarié frontalier qui touche 6'000 euros, il est indemnisé d'une autre façon, juste parce qu'on est en train de travailler dans un autre pays. C'est donc très clairement en contradiction avec les règles européennes. On va se battre là-dessus! D'autre part, si l'UNEDIC a un fort déficit sur le chômage des frontaliers, c'est dû essentiellement au fait que les gouvernements français, depuis presque une vingtaine d'années maintenant, n'ont pas voulu répondre aux sollicitations des organisations de frontaliers et n'ont pas négocié ou renégocié un accord qui existait déjà en 1973. Cet accord bilatéral prévoyait un reversement des cotisations chômage à la France. Cet accord est tombé avec la reprise de la réglementation européenne et les autorités françaises n'ont jamais rien fait pour le remettre en place ou pour négocier un nouvel accord".

Jaguar, una marca sinónimo de coches lujosos y deportivos. Tiene una historia fascinante, modelos icónicos, éxitos en competición, modelos actuales muy sugerentes… pero sus ventas están en “caída libre”. Todo esto te lo contamos en este vídeo… somos muy ambiciosos, pero sabes que cumplimos lo que prometemos. Sir William Lyon creó una marca llamada Swallow Sidecar Company cuyo nombre evolucionó a SS Cars… uno de sus modelos fue el SS Jaguar. Pero tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial las iniciales SS estaban mal vistas y rebautizaron la marca como Jaguar, concretamente Jaguar Cars Limited… todo un acierto… Tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial hubo una reactivación de la demanda y a finales de los años 40 comienza el auge de Jaguar a base de modelos notables y éxitos en competición. Este modelo no dejó de mejorar y evolucionar hasta llegar a su tope, en 1957, cuando aparece el XK150 que tenía muchas mejoras, entre ellas un motor potenciado pero, sobre todo, los frenos de disco en la que Jaguar fue pionera y que le permitió, entre otras cosas, vencer las 24 Horas de Le Mans. Pero sin duda hubo un modelo que proyecto la fama de Jaguar a lo más alto, un coche del que el mismo Enzo Ferrari dijo que era “el automóvil más bello jamás fabricado”. Nadie duda de que hablo del Jaguar E. Aparecido en 1961 el coche era bonito a rabiar… y sigue siéndolo. Pero el Jaguar E, el diseño estrella de Malcolm Sayer, además de muy bonito, potente y rápido, era barato. Sí, barato. Para que os hagáis una idea, en los USA, este coche, con un nivel de prestaciones similar o superior al 911 o al Ferrari 250 GTE, costaba entre un 40 y un ¡60 por ciento menos! Pero no solo de deportivos vive el hombre… ni el aficionado. En 1968 el “JEFE”, Sir William Lyon quiere poner orden en su gama de berlinas formada por diversos modelos. Por un lado, el precioso Jaguar MK2 y el S Type estéticamente muy parecidos entre sí y muy bonitos. Por otro, el 420 y el MKX, también similares entre sí. Y lanza el XJ6. Este modelo llevó motores de 6 cilindros en línea, V8 y V12 y era permanentemente puesto al día. Pero a Jaguar la llegada de la electrónica ni le hizo bien. Primero, porque los suministradores de electrónica británicos parecían pagados por el enemigo. Jaguar había perdido su independencia económica cuando se integró en el desastroso grupo BMC a mediados de los 60 que aglutinaba a una gran cantidad, casi todas, las empresas británicas del automóvil. Fue un desastre. Jaguar recupera su independencia brevemente a comienzos de los 80, se nombra presidente a Sir John Egan y los coches ganan en calidad… pero se pierde “paz social”, hay despidos, ajustes y problemas de todo tipo. Así que la oferta de compra por parte de Ford vino como llovida del cielo. No se puede querer todo, así que se gana esa “paz social” pero llegan no sé si los peores Jaguar de la historia, pero sí al menos los Jaguar menos Jaguar. Sea como fuere, Ford decidió desprenderse de Jaguar, lo que no resultaba fácil, hasta que la empresa India Tata Motors decide comprar la compañía. Parecía que llegaba otra época de auge con la llegada de los nuevos XE, XF, el precioso F Type y los SUV Pace, que personalmente no me gustan, pero que hoy día parecen necesarios si quieres que tu marca funcione. Pero… llega la caída en forma de problemas de fiabilidad, graves problemas de fiabilidad y un vertiginoso descenso de las ventas. Os voy a dar un dato sobre las ventas de la marca en España: En 2018, Jaguar vendió en España 4.394 unidades, que teniendo en cuenta la marca que es. Super Premium, y su precio no está mal. En el último año completo, el 2023, la venta fue de… ¡601 unidades! ¿Los motivos? Sin duda el principal, la baja calidad y los problemas de fiabilidad. Luego está la falta de modelos realmente nuevos y novedosos… que no es lo mismo.

En 2024, 800 militaires font partie de la mission au long court à bord du Tonnerre, le porte-hélicoptères amphibie. À Rio de Janeiro, l'armée française et la marine brésilienne ont mené des exercices ensemble. De notre correspondante à Rio de Janeiro,Tous les jours à 17h30, a lieu la cérémonie des couleurs. Le drapeau français est hissé en haut du mât. « On est au pont 10, au niveau de la passerelle de navigation. Donc quand on est en mer, la passerelle de navigation, c'est vraiment les yeux du bateau. Vous avez différentes consoles, différents postes », présente l'enseigne de vaisseau Marie, qui assure la visite du navire.Grâce à la mission Jeanne d'Arc, pendant cinq mois, les 200 officiers élèves pourront expérimenter plusieurs postes, entre la navigation, les opérations, la mise en œuvre de l'aviation. Ce qui leur permettra d'avoir une idée plus concrète de leur futur métier. « Il va faire très chaud, prévient Marie. Ici, on est dans le hangar véhicule supérieur, là où sont stockés tous les véhicules du groupe tactique, appelé le GTE, de l'armée de Terre. »Travailler avec la marine brésilienne au cours de cette mission permet aux armées de partager leurs connaissances. « Pour l'armée française, c'est surtout une acquisition des savoirs de l'armée brésilienne dans le domaine du combat fluvial, préciseChristophe, chef de bataillon du groupe tactique embarqué. C'est une capacité qu'on a perdue il y a quelques années au sein de l'armée française, et que nos camarades brésiliens ont poursuivie. Donc on va apprendre d'eux. »Les deux armées ont notamment participé à un exercice commun, sur la plage de Marambaia. « L'exercice a été monté pour mener un assaut sur une plage, donc mener un débarquement de force terrestre, ce qu'on appelle chez nous un changement de milieu. On passe du milieu maritime, sur le Tonnerre, vers un milieu terrestre, caractérisé par la plage de Marambaia », indique David, responsable de détachement de la flottille amphibie.Des intérêts communsAvec ses territoires en Guyane française, la France est une nation d'Amérique du Sud, et rencontre des défis communs avec le Brésil, selon le capitaine de vaisseau et commandant du porte-hélicoptères, Adrien-Charles : « Vous avez la lutte contre la pêche illégale, la lutte contre le trafic de drogue, la protection de l'environnement. On November 20, 1974, a significant legal event unfolded in the United States with the Department of Justice filing its final antitrust suit against the American Telephone & Telegraph Company (AT&T), marking a pivotal moment in U.S. antitrust history. This lawsuit, United States v. AT&T, stemmed from suspicions in the 1970s by the Federal Communications Commission that AT&T was using monopoly profits from its Western Electric subsidiary to subsidize the costs of its network, an action contrary to U.S. antitrust law. The case, taken over by Judge Harold H. Greene of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in 1978, culminated in a significant settlement in 1982 through a consent decree between AT&T and the Department of Justice.This settlement led to the 1982 Bell System divestiture, breaking up the old AT&T into seven regional Bell operating companies (RBOCs) and a much smaller new AT&T. On the morning of July 24, 1908, Delia Congdon, a deaf and non-verbal woman living alone in East Wallingford, Vermont, was found dead in her pantry—presumed to have been murdered while she prepared breakfast. At first, investigators suspected a local criminal known for his violent behavior; however, within a day, an unusual clue discovered in Congdon's barn pointed them towards Elroy Kent, a notorious local thief and recent escapee from a nearby psychiatric hospital whose petty criminal antics had plagued police for decades.
