He spent over sixteen years as a marketing and communications executive in the New York City area, with financial services marketing and global branding roles for companies such as Citibank, Bear, Sterns & Co. and KPMG. Tom Farley began building The Chris Farley Foundation using the same skills he gained in his business career, by developing a strategic plan, building the brand, and leveraging his own talents as a communicator. He established the use of humor and other innovative communication methods as a means to deliver messages to kids, teens, and young adults on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. Nikhil is an amazing example of an individual who has taken the time to choose the right path for themselves. He began his career path in engineering like his father but quickly switched his path to the medical field when he discovered his love of biology and anatomy. In his senior year of undergrad at Clarke University he was accepted to four medical school programs but decided instead to take the LSAT so he could explore the Law of Science. He believes this will allow him to combine his passion for biology and the medical field, with his passion for advocacy. He will be attending Northwestern Law School in the Fall. As a side hobby he is a fashion designer with his own Instagram and blog where he promotes fashion, diversity, and inclusivity.

Anthony Ruden is coming off one of the greatest summers in semipro history.  Not only did "Rudy" have an outstanding summer, but his baseball career spans 10 years and counting.  Rudy was one of the top pitchers in the state of Iowa while pitching for Wahlert Catholic High School.  After bouncing around for a year or so Rudy landed at Clarke University.  While at Clarke Rudy was an all conference pitcher and help lead the Clarke Pride to new heights.  Rudy now coaches for Wahlert Catholic and Clarke while being the lead pitching instructor at Gold Standard Athletics by Eric Munson. The Active Minds organization at the University of Dubuque exists to advocate and help raise mental health awareness. In their short time since Rockford-native Tre Moss started the UD chapter of Active Minds in 2020, they have been integral in bringing attention to mental health issues. They spearheaded an initiative to have the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and crisis counseling information printed on the back of student ID cards. They even collaborate with the campus Life Services to provide mental health first aid training. And this week, Anxious Ambition was THEIR guest! Justin visits with the UD Active Minds organization and talks about everything from his history with mental illness to dealing with those things as a student athlete, his time at Clarke University and Eastern Illinois University, and the healthy steps he took when he realized he needed help. What is it like coaching your little brother?  How about playing for your older brother?  The Blake Brothers have made a name for themselves in the Dubuque baseball scene.  Michael Blake made his way through the Senior ranks as one of their top players in program history.  After playing at Senior he then went to play at Clarke University and was part of the programs special run.  Michael is the current assistant varsity baseball coach at Senior High School.  One of the top players, his brother Johnny Blake.  Johnny had a great career while playing at Senior High School and took his talents to Clarke University.  Johnny was recently named MVP at the Clarke World Series.  This episode provides a lot of information about baseball, life, and a working relationship with family members. Peggy serves as AGCO’s Director of Digital Transformation, Global Manufacturing. Ms. Gulick joined AGCO as a plant leader for AGCO’s Production Systems (Lean) and Information Technology teams and strategies. Prior to joining AGCO, Ms. Gulick spent 16 years in global Enterprise Resource Planning in the sporting consumer goods industry serving as Director of Global Business Process at Pure Fishing, Inc. a subsidiary of Newell Brands. In 2015, Ms. Gulick chartered the Women in Manufacturing Chapter in Minnesota while holding an active position on AGCO’s AGWN (AGCO Global Women’s Network) Global Steering Committee. Most recently, she has led a team of out-of-box thinkers and ambitious partners in the implementation of wearable technology solutions on the manufacturing plant floor. She is also the 2014 recipient of the Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Award from the Manufacturing Institute, awarded to honor women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers. Ms. Gulick holds a Masters of Business Administration in Global Business She earned a BS in Computer Science from Clarke University in Dubuque, IA, where she received the Most Distinguished Alumni for Outstanding Achievement in 2016. She also earned a certificate in Executive Leadership for Women from Kennesaw State University’s Cole College of Business Executive Education Programs and a mini masters of Project Management at the University Of St. Thomas’ Opus College of Business. IIT 2013 Conference Podcast Interview with Suresh Shenoy, EVP at IMC Suresh V. Shenoy is Executive Vice President at Information Management Consultants, Inc., a Virginia based consulting and technology company. He currently serves as Chairman of the National Capital region of the American Red Cross and on the boards of Kevric Company, IMC Global Services, Fairfax County Information Technology Advisory Committee, Capital IIT Alumni Association and Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce. He was the Program Committee Chairman of the PanIIT Global Conference held in Washington D.C. which was attended by more than 2,300 people. Prior to joining IMC, Mr. Shenoy was a partner at Maridyne International, an international marketing company and joint venture with Marubeni Corporation of Japan. After selling Maridyne, Mr. Shenoy owned and operated Northeast Investment Castings which manufactured precision castings for defense and high-tech industries. He was an adjunct professor of Entrepreneurship, International Marketing and Business Administration at the Graduate School of Management of Clarke University. Currently, he is on the adjunct faculty of the School of Information Technology & Engineering at George Mason University. Mr. Shenoy has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a MBA from the University of Connecticut. Mr. Shenoy served as co-President of the PanIIT Alumni Association in North America from 2006-2008, which is the umbrella alumni organization for the highly selective seven Indian Institutes of Technology. He was a founding member of the Thomas Jefferson Partnership Fund and served on its board until 2002. He also served on the Board of the Fairfax County Library Foundation. He was chairman of the Emerging Technologies Advisory Group (EMTAG) at the Association of Information and Image Management (AIIM) from 1996-1997 and served on AIIM’s International Board of Directors. He served as chairman of the Washington D.C. Chapter of the International Society of Enterprise Engineers (ISEE) and as co-chair of the BPR-SIG for the Industry Advisory Council to U.S. Government CIOs. Mr. Shenoy’s articles have been published in various industry publications and he has spoken at numerous industry events including annual AIIM International shows, Imaging Expo in New York, COMDEX, Information Management Congress in Europe and CENADEM in Brazil. Mr. Shenoy was inducted as a Fellow of the Information Management Congress (Europe) and AIIM International (USA) in 2000. In 2009, Mr. Shenoy was the recipient of the annual award for philanthropy and community service from the Northern Virginia Community Foundation. In the same year, he was also recognized by IBM Corporation as “Information Champion” for his contributions to Enterprise Content Management (ECM) technologies and received the Distinguished Service Award from his alma mater, the Indian Institute of Technology.
