Why is it that over 50% of people want to start a business–but only 7% actually do? What sets apart the wannabes from the successful entrepreneurs? In the newest episode of Euphoric the Podcast, I dive into the groundbreaking research of organizational psychologist Dr. Benjamin Hardy, who is also the bestselling author of Be Your Future Self Now and 10x is Easier Than 2x. His thesis, Does It Take Courage to Start a Business?, reveals some surprising truths: like why some people get stuck in the “wannabe” entrepreneurial stage. What holds them back? The single biggest difference between those who dream and those who do? The Point of No Return. Just like a plane that's reached takeoff speed on the runway, once you hit this point, there's no turning back. This is the moment when an entrepreneur goes ALL in and commits - they invest in the certification or business program, invest in a ton of product, or quit their job. What's YOUR point of no return? The episode dives into other attributes that sets successful entrepreneurs apart, including their values, what kind of mentorship they get, and how men and women do it differently. IN THIS EPISODE: The point of “no return” and why a significant investment in your business is the ultimate game-changer, propelling you from dreamer to doer Why successful entrepreneurs think differently about uncertainty — and how to rewire your mindset to do the same How working with a coach skyrockets your motivation and courage, transforming your business dreams into reality The surprising truth about how long it actually takes to go from wanting a business to launching one (and how to speed up the process) Why more men start businesses than women, and how to break through the hesitation that may be keeping you stuck in the “wannabe” phase LINKS/RESOURCES MENTIONED Check out my FREE masterclass, How I Became a Highly Profitable Thought Leader While Traveling the World (and You Can Too) on March 5 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. If you're thinking about becoming a coach in 2025, listen up. You're passionate about helping others, you've been through your own powerful transformation, and you know you have wisdom to share. But then the doubts creep in — Do I need to be certified? Will anyone take me seriously? Can I actually make a living doing this? People ask me all the time if you have to be certified to coach. The short answer is no, you don't have to do anything. But if you really want to create massive results and transformations for your clients, proper training makes all the difference. I've seen coaches who try to do it on their own vs coaches who get proper training and the level of conviction, competence, and confidence the latter bring creates massive results for their clients and commands such higher revenues. When you know how to make changes at the subconscious level, you become a life-changing coach. You have to ask yourself at the end of the day, are you just playing pretend coach or are you in it for real? Why wouldn't you want to become the best you can be? Get ready to hear my unfiltered thoughts on why some coaches struggle to get clients, how to become an industry leader, and the art of mastering your subconscious mind to 10x your results in the newest episode of Euphoric the Podcast. Apply for Euphoric's Empowered AF 5X Coach Certification Program to get certified as a mindset coach, alcohol-free life coach, success coach, NLP practitioner, and hypnosis practitioner, while learning how to grow a profitable business. Why do people behave so badly behind the wheel of a car? Why do reporters and the police use passive language to describe automobile crashes and traffic violence? How do the words we use make a difference in street safety? Dr. Tara Goddard, one of the top scholars studying what it is that cars do to our brains and the way we treat each other in the world, has some thoughts — and she's done the research. Tara is an associate professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at Texas A&M University. Her work focuses on creating a just transportation system through safe roadway design and inclusive transportation planning. We talked with her about “motonomativity,” how race influences how drivers treat pedestrians, and why language matters if we want to change the conversation about whom streets are for. *** Support The War on Cars on Patreon and receive exclusive access to bonus content, ad-free versions of regular episodes, free stickers, merch discounts, early access to live shows, and more. *** This episode was produced with support from Cleverhood and Sheyd Bags. This week I found out I had reached the #4 spot on the Singer Songwriter charts in Queens. This kind of success doesn't come around very often in my life so I thought I'd share what I did to make it happen. You know what I did? Absolutely nothing. Not one single thing. Last week, I got a notice that, since I hadn't logged on in so long, Reverb Nation was going to suspend my account. So I logged in. That's all I did. I didn't upload new songs. I didn't change my profile pics. I didn't upload a video. I didn't enter a contest or message my “fans”. But a few days after I logged back in, I got the notice that I was in the top ten of singer songwriters in Queens. However this achievement happened, it had absolutely nothing to do with me or any action I took. To read more of How I Became the #4 Singer-Songwriter in Queens visit the Songs for the Struggling Artist blog. This is Episode 381 Image of my Reverb Nation Account (including my rank at #4!) Season 7, Episode 18. Eleanor is a late bloomer. She moved abroad on more or less a whim in the late 1990s, when she was in her late 20s. Eleanor was working in tech at the time, and although her initial move abroad was rather disorganized, with many misfires and much flying by the seat of her pants, by the time the tech bubble burst in the early 2000s, she was in a good position. She was living in Munich, Germany, working a steady job in web design, so she decided to stay. To bloom. When she hit her mid-30s, she changed her career and met her husband. They had their kid when she was in her early 40s. And now, Eleanor is approaching her inflection point, or the year when she'll have lived longer in Germany than in her home country (USA). And now, she's here to share the wild story with us and reflect on what it all means.
