Loretta Clodfelter, editorial director of Institutional Real Estate Inc., wrote a feature story 14 years ago based on a report titled Cloistered in the Pink Ghetto. The paper, authored by Nori Gerardo Lietz of Areté Capital, decried the scarcity of women executives in the real estate business. Fast-forward 14 years and much has changed, as documented in the new feature on the subject appearing in the March 2024 issue of Institutional Real Estate Americas. Jason Clodfelter is hardly whom you might think of when you imagine a big Hollywood Studio TV (Co) President. He's sensitive, caring, personable, charming, thoughtful, and an artist - a fantastic writer, director, actor, and collaborator. Risa got to know Jason in class every week where the work was intimate and intense, and he went all in. And, as he tells us here, his job at Sony TV became an act of artistry, something he needed if he was going to continue to work in what can be considered a soul-sucking job. But he found another way! After her husband was stationed in Poznan, Poland, Delaney Clodfelter and their son moved there in 2021. They had no idea that they'd be moving to a country just next door to a brutal war. When Ukrainian refugees began pouring into Poland, fleeing the Russian invasion, Clodfelter knew she had to help out. She began raising money to provide displaced Ukrainians with basic needs. Gaining funds locally and back in her hometown of Anchorage, she has since raised nearly thirty thousand dollars.  ATMI senior producer Daisy Carter spoke with Clodfleter about her efforts to aid Ukrainian refugees, stories from those who have escaped the violence brought on by Russia, and how her church in Poznan has provided a haven for those who've left their homeland.  They spoke on April 25th, 2022.
