Deze week was ik in gesprek met een oudste dochter die veel te hard werkte en aan alles voelde: zoals het nu gaat wil ik het niet meer. Na een mooi gesprek dat direct de diepte in ging stonden alle seinen stonden op groen om samen aan de slag te gaan zodat ze zich weer vrijer voelt, meer energie, plezier ervaart. Om te ontdekken wat ze zelf wil en met meer aandacht thuis te zijn bij haar dierbaren en we hadden allebei het gevoel dat een samenwerking haar verder zou kunnen helpen.  Toen we vervolgens in gesprek gingen over de investering voor de samenwerking veranderde de energie in het gesprek. Ze blokkeerde en dit is iets wat vaker voorkomt als ik met oudste dochters in gesprek ga. We zijn vaak niet gewend om in onszelf te investeren en vinden het vaak makkelijker om in anderen te investeren dan in onszelf. We gunnen de ander alles en kunnen zelf genoegen nemen met de restjes. Toe aan een volgende stap? Thymen Arensman deed het wel in deze Tour de France 2025, waarvan de meeste klassementen nu ook in een definitieve plooi liggen. De 25-jarige Nederlander lijkt klaar om volgend jaar voor een klassement te gaan in de Tour.In de achtergrond bleek dat Visma | Lease a Bike de hoop om de Tour nog te winnen had verloren. De Nederlandse ploeg werd daarbij niet geholpen door het inkorten van de negentiende etappe. Het harde verdict is dat ze geen vuist konden ballen en geletruidrager Pogačar alles onder controle had op de Col du Pre, Cormet de Roselend en La Plagne. Hij bepaalde het tempo en reed zelfs de laatste twee kilometer met de rem erop, alleen maar om te voorkomen dat Vingegaard alsnog de rit zou winnen. Met dank aan Florian Lipowitz lukte hem dat wel bijna.Uiteindelijk slaagde jonge Duitser erin om Oscar Onley opnieuw op achterstand te rijden. Het verschil tussen zijn vierde plek en de derde plaats van Lipowitz, bedraagt een minuut en drie tellen. Toch gaan ze er bij Picnic PostNL nog alles aan doen om die derde plek te behalen. Wat dat betreft hebben de Britten en Duitsers weer een talent om naar uit te kijken. In Nederland is dat met Arensman ook het geval, maar in de jeugdcategorieën gaat het helemaal niet goed.
