The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (07/11/2024): 3:05pm- On Wednesday, George Clooney wrote a scathing opinion piece urging Joe Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race—citing Biden's poor debate performance and an uninspiring performance at a New York City fundraiser hosted by Clooney earlier this year. According to a news report from Politico, Clooney presented the editorial to former President Barack Obama before its publication in The New York Times. Though Obama did not endorse the editorial's message, he also did not object to its publication. 3:15pm- NBC News is reporting that the Biden campaign's July fundraising totals are likely to be half of what they were in previous months—with one insider calling the numbers “disastrous.” Similarly, Politico notes that Democrats expect fundraising to crater. 3:20pm- On Thursday night President Joe Biden is scheduled to take part in what the White House is referring to as a “big boy” press conference. Does his candidacy depend on a strong performance? 3:40pm- According to a new Washington Post/ABC News poll, 57% of Democrats would like to see Joe Biden end his presidential candidacy. You can read more about the poll here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/07/11/poll-biden-drop-out-election/ 4:05pm- David Urban—Political Commentator for CNN & Senior Advisor to Donald Trump—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to preview the 2024 election, paying special attention to the race between sitting U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) and Republican nominee Dave McCormick. According to new polling data, McCormick has cut into Casey's lead considerably and now trails by only 1%. Polls from earlier this year showed Casey leading by 4 to 10 points. Plus, if Joe Biden withdraws from the presidential race—making Kamala Harris the Democrat party's nominee—could Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro become a contender for Vice President? Urban argues that Shapiro would be wise to avoid the train wreck. 4:20pm- Senator John Tester (D-MT) was confronted by a reporter at the airport and asked to comment on President Joe Biden's mental fitness. He refused to answer questions. While speaking with Kaitlan Collins on CNN, Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) said he believes Biden will lose to Donald Trump in November. 4:30pm- Joe Biden's “big boy” press conference preview, Matt says—against all logic—that he believes Biden will ultimately be the Democrat Party's nominee, can you expense “companionship,” and did Bradley Cooper once date Huma Abedin? 4:40pm- The U.S. Senate did not confirm Judge Sarah Netburn—who was nominated to the U.S. Court for the Southern District of New York by President Joe Biden—even Democrat Senator John Ossoff (D-GA) ultimately voting against her. Netburn had previously endorsed moving a biological male sex offender to a women's prison. 5:05pm- Mike and Gregg Opelka join The Rich Zeoli Show! Gregg—a frequent contributor to The Wall Street Journal—wrote an editorial about his brother: “America's Talk Radio Guest Host: Filling In for Talk Radio Firebrands is An Art All Its Own.” You can read the full editorial here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/americas-talk-radio-guest-host-f64c4062?mod=opinion_lead_pos11 5:20pm- On Wednesday, George Clooney wrote a scathing opinion piece urging Joe Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race—citing Biden's poor debate performance and an uninspiring performance at a New York City fundraiser hosted by Clooney earlier this year. Though Obama did not endorse the editorial's message, he also did not object to its publication. 5:30pm- Biden Radio Edits: Isabella Ramirez of Politico writes: “A Wisconsin-based talk radio station edited its interview with President Joe Biden at the request of his campaign before it aired last week, broadcaster Civic Media said in a statement Thursday. Immediately after the interview, conducted on July 3, the Biden campaign called and asked for two edits to the recording, and WAUK's production team cut two segments after determining them to be ‘non-substantive.'” You can read the full story here: https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/11/radio-station-edited-biden-interview-00167676 5:40pm- Biden's Gaza Pier Disaster: Dan Lamothe of The Washington Post writes that “the U.S. military has failed to re-anchor its humanitarian pier to Gaza, the Pentagon said Thursday, and soon will ‘cease operations' on an aid-delivery mission plagued by setbacks from almost the moment President Biden announced it four months ago.” The pier cost an estimated $230 million to construct. You can read the full article here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2024/07/11/gaza-pier-humanitarian-aid/ 5:55pm- Oh, no! Does his candidacy depend on a strong performance? 6:10pm- Henry Rodgers of The Daily Caller reports: “Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul will introduce legislation Wednesday that would provide oversight for gain of function research funding by establishing an independent board responsible for reviewing and approving federal funding for high-risk life sciences research.” You can read Rodgers' full report here: https://dailycaller.com/2024/07/10/sen-rand-paul-introduces-legislation-to-provide-oversight-for-gain-of-function-research-funding-china-wuhan-nih/ 6:30pm Oh, no! The White House isn't doing the president any favors by delaying the presser's start time.

"Supposedly accepted historical fact." Darrell Castle talks about the Democrat candidates and emphasizes front runner, Bernie Sanders and his call for Socialism in America. Transcription / Notes DEN OF THIEVES               Hello this is Darrell Castle with today's Castle Report. Today is Friday February 28, 2020 and on today's Report I will be talking about the Democrat candidates at least the ones still allowed to stand on the debate stage and since Bernie Sanders is apparently the frontrunner, my emphasis will be on him. I devoted a previous Report to Mr. Sanders during his candidacy in 2016 entitled, “The Democratic Socialism of Bernie Sanders”. Click the link to listen to that podcast, if you are so inclined. My own observation is that since then the Democrat Party has morphed into something unrecognizable. Is this the Party of working people, the Party of JFK?  No, it is now a Party of wealthy elitists who sneer and look down their noses at ordinary people. I mentioned before that Mr. Sanders refuses to allow himself to be labeled a Communist, despite his decades long defense of Soviet Communism and of Soviet satellite states, such as Cuba and Venezuela. He's not a Communist, he insists, just a Democratic Socialist. He defines Democratic Socialism as the fight for justice, decency, and human dignity. It is the completion of the business of the New Deal begun by Franklin Roosevelt. Most of the other candidates refuse to denounce it since he is the leader people must be in favor of it, therefore, they must approve of it. Most young people seem to approve of it as well, and although fans once booed Santa at a Philadelphia Eagles game, what's not to like about Santa Claus? There are many weird things about this election, and especially the Democrat Candidates, but one of the weirdest is that the others attack Mr. Sanders for not being liberal enough. In the Senate, he once voted against allowing gun manufacturers to be sued when their products are used to kill people. He was attacked for that vote but to his credit he owned it and said it was a bad vote. He should just stay with his first impression, but I guess he can't do that. You are undoubtedly aware that I am an advocate of freedom, of liberty, of free markets and of capitalism. The values of freedom of thought, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of markets are all radically under attack. Those things are why America became what it once was, and they're all being washed away. Mr. Sanders has consistently, his whole life, had different values from the ones I just mentioned. He and his wife took their honeymoon in Moscow during the Cold War and had glowing things to say about an empire that killed, God only knows, how many of its own people; at least 70 million.  The collective, as defined by and controlled by the state, rather than the individual seems to be most important to Mr. Sanders. When he was mayor of Burlington, Vermont, and 30 years old, he made Burlington a sister city to one of the dilapidated Soviet cities. He also went to Cuba and still gives glowing reports of Castro's achievements. Castro was not all bad, you see, because he started a good literacy program. No mention of the fact that Bautista already had a successful literacy program in the 1950's, or that literacy was restricted by Castro to the reading of Communist propaganda. The primary thing he did not mention was the fact that tens of thousands of those literate Cuban citizens risked their lives trying to float to Florida, clinging to a log so that they and their families might just experience one glimpse of a free country. Yes, Bernie, freedom is such an alluring thing that people are willing to die trying to achieve it. I've asked myself why this angry old man would cling to support for some of the most horrible dictatorships to exist in human history and I can't see any logic to his views. Perhaps it is the opposite of love for them; its actually based on hatred. The enemy of my enemy is my friend,

In today's episode, I talk about the 2020 Presidential Campaign and how the Democrats are doing. They have a weak field of Democratic candidates and none of them are inspiring. They are also floundering in many areas, including technology. Because of their weak position, I expect the Democrats and the mainstream media to ramp up their attacks and pressure on President Trump because that's all they have left. Yet, when their largest value is POWER (the need to get power back at all costs), that hurts them because it turns people off and leads them to support Trump. Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, amongst her tweets about Israel "hypnotizing the world" and claiming Jews have "dual loyalty" proclaimed on social media that members of Congress support the Israel - and specifically AIPAC, the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee - because they are paid to. "It's all about the Benjamins, baby." she wrote. Since then, Democrats have been very open about their anti-Israel sentiments. Progressive group Moveon.org has urged Democrats not to attend the AIPAC meeting in Washington DC this year. And multiple Democratic candidates for president have agreed to skip the event, attend by former President Obama in 2008 and 2012, by Hillary Clinton multiple times and by former Vice-President Joe Biden in 2016. As Tony Katz (http://facebook.com/tonykatzradio) explains, the progressives own and control the Democrat party. "Sen. Chuck Schumer and Speaker Nancy Pelosi may be attending," said Tony, "but the absence of the candidates is what's loudest. And their messasge is clear: We side with Ilhan Omar."

It's a reminder that you can make a difference.  I go over a few of the Environmental policies that the Trump Administration has changed over the past 2 years. The policy changes have ignored science and US citizens to promote short term economic growth.  My message is simple, vote for the Democrat Candidates to provide a check and balance in the House and Senate to ensure policy changes by this administration will not go forward without a fight and a representation of the US people. In this episode, we discuss the big announcement of Congressman Jared Polis’s entry into the Democratic race for Colorado Governor. The discussion also covers the impact on the other Democrat candidates in the race, and who is a perceived winner or loser. Jared Polis’s Campaign Priorities – To our surprise Jared Polis has joined the race for Governor! One thing that we find fascinating about the campaign is the Congressman’s top three priorities. These are education, the environment and the economy. You can view his bio video and details about his campaign at www.polisforcolorado.com.  Promises for Education – On the issue of public education, which is ALWAYS a top priority among Democrat voters in Colorado, Jared Polis pledges to establish universal full day kindergarten and preschool in every community across the state. This is a goal that has long been sought after by progressive Democrat groups. It is an issue that is also appealing to unaffiliated voters, primarily because it is a clear example of helping people, not advancing a political agenda. In short, its smart politics.  Promises for the Environment – Jared Polis is trying to appeal to the all-important environmental faction of the Democrat primary voter by setting a goal of accomplishing a statewide clean energy transition by 2040. He claims that he can meet that goal “while saving people money on their utility bills” and creating green energy jobs in Colorado that can never be outsourced. This language is very interesting and difficult to believe, but if Donald Trump can say anything he wants than Jared Polis can too. Promises for the Economy – When discussing the economy, Jared Polis covers his Democrat bases by affirming his support for raising the minimum wage, family medical leave and ensuring that “employers follow our laws”. In an attempt to appeal to Bernie Sanders voters, he proposes a plan to address income disparity and ensure “workers share in the value they help create”. The plan would mandate that Colorado companies have a profit sharing and “employee ownership” program for all employees. We are anxious to the see the details of that plan.
