Habia una vez en los países del norte un rey de los enanos llamado Reidmar. Reidmar era el padre de tres hijos. Fafner, dotado de un alma sin temores y un brazo muy poderoso. Otter, que tenía el poder de cambiar de forma cuando lo deseaba y Regin dotado de sabiduría y astucia. Reidmar era un rey codicioso quien atesoraba la riqueza. Su hijo Regin estaba siempre en procura de conseguir para el Oro y joyas que le llevaba a su hogar en lo más profundo de una montaña. Reidmar encargo a su hijo mayor Fafner que sirviera de guardián de su fortuna.  Por aquellos parajes iban viajando  3 dioses Odin, Hoenir, y Loki en procura de conocer más de cerca el alma de los seres humanos. De pronto vieron una nutria acostada al sol. Loki que era dado a cazar la mato sin saber que esta nutria era Otter el segundo hijo de Reidmar. Después de matarla, tomaron la piel y por casualidad entraron en la gruta donde vivía Reidmar. Este cuando vio la piel de su hijo enfurecio y con sus poderosas manos atrapo y encerro a los 3 dioses.  Estos le pidieron ser liberados, pero Reidmar les dijo que solo los liberaría cuando llenaran la piel de la nutria con joyas y oro. Los tres dioses enviaron a Loki a buscar joyas y oro. Loki salió y se dirigió a la búsqueda de el mayor tesoro posible. Sabía que había un enano llamado andvari que vivía detras de una gran cascada y que allí escondía su tesoro. Loki sigilosamente se acercó y con una red capturo a Andvari mientras este nadaba en el lago formado por la cascada. Luego lo obligo a entregarle todo su tesoro.  El tesoro de Andvari era realmente legendario y contenía un sinnumero de pieza de oro y joyas fabulosas. Andvari tenía para si un anillo mágico que le permitía encontrar oro y joyas en donde estuvieran escondidas. Loki después de recibir el tesoro se percató que Andvari tenía el anillo y codicioso se lo quito retirándolo de la mano de el enano Andvari. Furioso el enano vio como el dios Loki salía de su cueva detrás de la cascada con su tesoro y especialmente su anillo mágico. Cuando Loki se hubo marchado pronuncio una maldición declarando que aquel anillo destruiría a todo aquel que lo poseyera alguna vez haciéndolo vanidoso y codicioso.  Cuando Loki llego con el tesoro y el anillo, deposito el oro y las joyas sobre la piel de la nutria, pero esta al recibir el oro inmediatamente creció más aun necesitando más y más tesoros para ser llenada totalmente. Por mucho que Loki le pusiera joyas y oro la piel más crecía. Desesperado Loki retiro de su dedo el anillo mágico y lo lanzo a la piel y esta dejo de crecer.  Los tres dioses fueron liberados y el tesoro maldito y el anillo quedaron en la cueva de el rey Reidmar y protegidos por su hijo Fafner. Pero la maldición del tesoro y el anillo comenzó a actuar sobre Fafner y este codicioso de todos los tesoros mato a su padre el rey Reidmar y tomando el tesoro y el anillo y con el tiempo la maldición enveneno su alma y lo convirtió en un dragón dispuesto a matar todo aquel que se aproximara a su tesoro.   Su hermano menor Regin, cuando vio la transformación de su hermano huyo al mundo de los humanos y se instaló allí. Durante años planeo la venganza sobre su hermano convertido en dragón y viviendo entre los hombres, adopto un valiente muchacho llamado Sigurd como su hijo adoptivo. A él le fabrico una espada invencible llamada Gram y le enseño a usarla con astucia.  Cuando Sigurd estaba listo, el vengativo Regin lo llevo a la tierra de Fafner y con precaución le mostro los terrenos por deambulaba de cacería el dragón. Luego le enseño como podría acercarse a fafner y matarlo. Sigurd tomo un camino y siguiendo las instrucciones de Regin cabo una trinchera por donde Fafner pasaba rumbo a una fuente de agua donde saciaba su sed. Allí espero hasta que el dragón paso sobre él y saltando con su espada invencible Gram perforo

Nella tradizione poi Salomone, ricevuta da Dio la sapienza, tornò a conoscere il linguaggio degli animali, ma si guardò bene da rivelare ad alcuno il segreto.

Guardian of the Witch is set in a fantasy world in which humanity lives in walled cities to protect themselves from roving monsters (evils). These cities are protected by teenage girls (witches) that have been given magical powers by merging them with the essence of evils (seeds). Our main character, Fafner, is the guardian of the fire-witch Manasfa. However, after rejecting orders to kill the witch due to impending corruption by her seed, they escape the city in search of a cure. Anime dvd review of Heroic Age: The Complete Series Part 1, Episodes 8-13. Directed by Takashi Noto. Series Composition by Tow Ubukata. Music by Naoki Sato. Published by Funimation. List Price: $59.98, Rated 13+. The Argonaut continues to flee to the new human homeworld as the Azz-Azoth fleet under Nilval tries to hold off the Silver and Gold Tribe armadas. Things could get messy as Nodos Mehitak shows up to take down the Azz-Azoth. Meanwhile, Bellcross and Karkinos are still locked in battle. Their fight is not measured in minutes or days, but weeks! Like a rumble between two gods. Dhianeila's two scheming and arrogant brothers try to commandeer leadership of the human forces through bribery and extortion. They begin to move along their plan for all-out war against the Gold and Silver Tribes, with the ultimate end goal of recapturing Earth. Problem is that Meleagros, the scion of the family,  is a tad bit power hungry and isn't shy about sacrificing his own forces or even entire planets if it furthers the glory and power of him and his family. I really love the epic space opera feel of Heroic Age. When we have fleets battling each other here, it isn't just a couple of ships on each side. It's thousands, if not TENS of thousands involved. And when you're talking about the insect-like swarms of the Gold Tribes, it could be MILLIONS! It's war the likes of which we reality-bound humans can hardly imagine. And then you have the jockeying forces of the politics within each tribe (except the Gold) as the humans try to decide the best course of action. There are even factions in the Vulcan-like Silver that believe the universe is big enough for Silver and Iron while others think the humans should be destroyed. The problems I have with this show are two: one major and one minor. The first is that the battles between the Nodos lack any impact or drama. All the Nodos are completely rendered in CG and are not animated very well, moving very stiffly and awkwardly. They are supposed to be living creatures but they move like robots. The director should have looked at some of the old Evangelion fight scenes or Eureka 7 to learn how to handle this properly. Sadly, I almost wish to jettison the whole giant monster facet of the show.   One minor complaint is in the character designs and costumes. The characters look too much like they fell out of a Gundam series, or even Fafner. The costumes of the humans are dull and boring with too much whiteness splashed with some second-thought colors.  It doesn't look like too much effort was spent on their uniforms. Project A-Ko This amazing movie from 1986 remains one of Eeeper's favourite anime of all time and set a benchmark for parodies of anime and manga to come. Captain Harlock, Maison Ikkoku and Fist of the North Star are some of the titles that get poked to death in this treat. Eeeper goes all over the world for sport in this review before actually getting to the PLOT. Try and stay with him on this one, it does pay off. Central Park Media released this movie along with the OVA sequels comprising of the DVD volumes Love and Robots and Uncivil Wars. Oni watched Uncivil Wars but Eeeper didn't so only the first film and part of the OVA's are covered. This film was one of three VHS available to rent from 24-Hour Video in Eeep's hometown (the other two being Giant Robo Part One of the OVA and StreetFighter II: The Animated Movie) so it got serious playtime in the Eeep household.
