Former Secret Service agent Evy Poumpouras spent over 12 years protecting Presidents Obama, Bush, and Clinton while mastering the art of reading people under life or death pressure. Her insight into human behavior goes beyond what most of us will ever need, but the principles she shares apply to every conversation, negotiation, and relationship you have. She reveals why most people fail at reading others because they're looking for cookie cutter signals instead of understanding the individual in front of them. This episode strips away the Hollywood myths about lie detection and replaces them with real strategies you can use today. You'll discover why your biggest advantage in any situation isn't what you say, it's how well you listen and adapt to the person across from you.Buy Evy's book Becoming BulletproofLearn more about EvyIn this episode you will:Discover why asking open-ended questions starting with tell me, explain, and describe gets people to reveal their truth without pressureLearn how to build instant authority and credibility by subtly taking control of small decisions in any interactionUnderstand why conditional trust protects you better than blindly believing everyone or suspecting everyoneMaster the art of not reacting when someone attacks you, because real toughness is self-control under fireBreak free from indecisiveness and self-doubt by making your own choices and failing forward without asking everyone for permissionFor more information go to https://lewishowes.com/1852For more Greatness text PODCAST to +1 (614) 350-3960More SOG episodes we think you'll love:Matthew Hussey – greatness.lnk.to/1782SCEsther Perel – greatness.lnk.to/1851SCBaya Voce – greatness.lnk.to/1836SC Get more from Lewis! Welcome to Active Relaod! This week, James and Grant (mainly Grant) open the episode by talking about Battlefield 6! Grant gives his good, bad, and ugly after his time with it. Then, the guys discuss Remedy's profit warning to investors due to "weak sales" from FBC: Firebreak. The show was wondering who this game was for when it was first announced and Remedy seemingly never got an answer to that question. Also, does this have a bigger impact on the games as service model as a whole? Finally, is Pokémon officially back?! Pokémon Legends Z-A is here, and it is getting very good reviews, the gang discusses their fond, albeit limited memories of the series, but mainly reminisce on Pokémon Go.Subscribe to the Active Reload YouTube channel to watch all these episodes live!Remember to rate, follow, like, and subscribe
The Yukon government is betting on a first-in-Canada solution to help protect Whitehorse from wildfire: a permanent fuel break made of trees. Replacing conifers with the more fire-resistant, deciduous aspen trees, the community hopes it will keep fire from encroaching on the city. But, the process takes a lot of work, starting with harvesting tiny seeds.
This week Matt goes off, Eric tries, we do some due diligence, Hell Is Us has a demo, WWE 2K25 brings Bray back, we discuss FBC Firebreak, and could Atlus be thinking about ReFantazio 2? Today on the 5: Lando and I talked about our time playing FBC Firebreak, a game we were both looking forward to but ended up burning out on pretty quickly. Turns out we weren't alone, but I actually agree with the publisher that despite the problems the core game is worth trying to save.
Fast Baked Chicken or video game? This acronym could stand for anything, but what it truly stands for is Federal Bureau of Control. Developed and published by Remedy Entertainment, this is simultaneously the debut multiplayer first-person shooter developed by the studio and also the first game published by them. That said, these folks are no strangers to making games and have previously brought you the likes of Max Payne, Alan Wake, and (surprise!) Control. Set six years after the events of that single-player title, the developers have allegedly crafted this game to stand on its own. Will it be a salve for those feeling fatigue with the genre or is multiplayer not an illness this studio can cure? Tom and Chris have ventured out to contain an extradimensional incursion... will you join them? What do you think? This week on Critical Arcade, Dave and Nick must strap on their badass welding masks, sign NDA papers, and grab the biggest squirt gun they can find because they are jumping into the shoes of the FBC's first responders. Tasked with keeping the endless paranormal threats under control and its never-ending deluge of spontaneous fires, overwhelming Post-it Notes, and aggressively growing pink stuff (we think it might be bubblegum). Will Dave go mad shooting yellow squares of paper? And will Nick find out why Sony doesn't want him to matchmake with someone? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
